We recently called the Dodge place here in our home town to have a remote start put on our 2009 dodge van,it has been about 2 monthes now and they tell me that they can't find the part, i don't know the exact words used.they said they would do some more checkig and then let me know ,that was about 2 weeks ago and no word.our key is getting bad and we are afraid that it will get to where it won't start so we thougt we would have the remote start added, since we are both in bad health and in the winter it sure would help us that way we get two new keys plus the remote start.wethis is the 3rd dodge van we have owned and we won't have any other kind.thank you so much.carolyn gee @dishmail.net
I bought my wife a 2006 Chrysler 300c SRT8 with only 9500 miles from a non-Chrysler Dealership in March 2009. June 2009 at 13842 miles, we already had our first issue, the transmission had locked up in the garage of our home, cost of the repair $400.00. Well 15 months later, Sept 2010, at 37907 miles, another problem. The car overheats before I get it to the local car wash. The cooling fans motors and electrical harness shorted out causing the vehicle to overheat. Cost of the repair $547.00. Finally, 8 months later, May 2011 on my wife's birthday, we're on our way to the spa for a few hours of relaxation and the car shuts off with NO WARNING while exiting the highway. I inspected the car after the Highway Patrol/State Troopers pushed us off the highway, and noticed that the hose at the bottom of the radiator had come completely off. We just had the vehicle serviced at the Chrysler Dealership a month prior, so my guess was they failed to inspect the hoses, but why wasn't there a check engine light, sound or alert to warn the driver that there is a problem? So the dealership obviously doesn't want to take responsibility because there is a good chance, that there is major engine damage. Sure enough, the cooling system is fine but after I authorized a tear down of the engine to find the problem, the valve seat in the # 8 cylinder became dislodged and the metal fragment chewed the head of the piston; the valves in the # 8 cylinder; and fried the catalytic converter. All caused by a hose. Well, of course the dealership wasn't going to take responsibility for the cost to repair or replace the engine which is $11,000. The Extended Warranty we purchased didn't want take responsibility, because they accused us of driving the vehicle after it overheated so our claim was denied. Then we received a letter in the mail from Chrysler regarding a recall on our vehicles cooling fans. My wife calls and explains the situation to the rep who refers her to a Case Manager, who said she would be in contact with us the following week regarding the issue. The following week, this Case Manager calls my wife and tells her that since the overheating problem happened before the recall, they would replace the engine in the vehicle free of charge. My wife and I are ecstatic about the news!! Chrysler is really changing their "Commitment to Quality", or so i thought. We received 3 follow up phone calls from this Chrysler Case Manager confirming the approval of the repair/replacement of the engine and the appointment for the car to be towed to the dealership on Friday. Then Friday, while prepping the car to be towed, we get the phone call from the Case Manager Supervisor, saying that there was an error and the the approval and been retracted. Now we're back to square one with no one to help us. The hose on this vehicle mysteriously becomes detached and no one wants to take responsibility for it. WELL, I GUESS I'M JUST ANOTHER TAX PAYING CONSUMER GETTING THE HOSE!!! THANKS CHRYSLER YOUR "COMMITMENT TO QUALITY" IS DEFINITELY BEING NOTICED.
I love my 07 Jeep Commander but the seats keep ripping in the middle seat area. Jeep has paid for all three past repairs even though some of it has been out of warranty. It has been taken to the upholstry repair shop that the dealership uses for repairs three other times. He quoted the dealership and us $120.00 dollars to repair the tears in another part of the seat that happened and a previous area he had already repaired. We asked the Jeep Case Manager if we can take it to another upholstry repair shop due to not being pleased it had ripped in a previous area already repaired once. Jeep case manager reported this would be fine. We took it to another upholstry repair shop that the dealership uses as well and he quoted us $30.00 dollars cheaper at $90.00 dollars. The case manager was faxed the receipt for the repair and they informed my husband that we would have to pay a $25.00 dollar copay that was never mentioned. We have never been asked to pay this before nor had it been mentioned. My husband told the Jeep case manager who was very nasty about saving them $30.00 dollars that we were not going to pay any copay because she never indicated this. My husband requested to speak to the supervisor. The Jeep case manager reports having to pay the copay due to Jeep offering us in the past to pay for half the cost of a new middle seat and that would be $900.00 dollars for a seat that we paid already for when purchasing the Jeep for $35,000.00 dollars. The Case Manager got another worker who was not a supervisor and my husband had to continue to demand to speak to a supervisor until he was told one will contact him. The supervisor returned his call and informed my husband that she would email a $90.00 dollar check that day which did not happen. The check is suppose to be in the mail now and I guess we will see. We have had this Commander for 4 years when the seats began ripping some two years ago. J
I love my 2005 Grand Cherokee, but I hate the way I have been treated at Dallas Dodge in Dallas Ga., and by Chrysler. I had an exaust leak repaired. They replaced both manafolds for $2600 and some change. Two days later, the check engin light came on. The code showed the catalytic converter was bad. They want $1000 to replace it. It was fine before they worked on the car. I called Chrysler, told them what happend they looked at my account and said it wasn't under warrenty so I was out of luck. At this time there is no after market part available. I hope one comes out before I have to have my car inspected in December. The dealership did say they would replace the parts free. That puts the price around $825 plus tax. After market price will probably be $250 to $350.
We purched a 2011 Dodge Nitro from Thompson dodge Baltimore Maryland for are trip to florida After ariving in florida we had a tire go low because of a nail I pulled to to walmart to have the tire repaired and to my suprise they had locks on the wheels. They the dealer delivered the car to me WITHOUT giving me the key for the locks. My wife tried to call the dealer in baltimore and they asked her (What do you want me to do) and then hung up.It took me 7 phone calls to chrysler with no help Chrysler road service keep raising the price they wanted to tow my vehical to a dealer. I finally had it the man at walmart put air in the tire and I drove it to the dealer. It cost me $124.00 to fix Dodges problem Dodge told me to send them the bill for the repair and they would take care of it. After sending them the bill Dodge now says they wont refund my money because they have no proof I paid The bill. If you thinking about buying from Chrysler I WOULD THINK TWICE AND THEN GO BUY A TOYOTA> I have owned chrslers all my life I own three now But I am done Buying DODGE.
I received an advertisement in the mail for a 3 day sales event. The flyer had my 2003 Dodge 1500 4X4 Crew cab pickup listed on the flyer promiseing a 120% trade in value on it, listing it at $14,191.00. The add was from a local Chrysler Dealership, Hoyt Dodge, in Sherman, Tx. The fine print read that they allowed 10,000 miles per year on the vehicle, but anything over that would be charged 30 cents a mile against the vehicle. I took the flyer in to Hoyt Dodge and they refused to accept it. Said that they didn't honor those advertisements that in the fine print it says that the mileage would be charged 30 cents a mile and it would take the value down to nothing. My truck is a very nice clean truck with all the extras added, like a fiberglass bed cover and a big chrome grill guard on the front with chrome pipe steps on both sides of the truck and only has 53,000 miles on it. They said that they did not know why we received that because they would not honor it. He said that my truck couldn't be worth over $10,000 at the most. We found a car that we wanted to buy and trade the truck in, but they wouldn't talk to us about it. The salesman told us that the car was listed brand new at $40,000 and we were getting it at a drasticly reduced price at $27,000. It was a used car with 3,600 miles on the speedometer. After we purchased the car we found the original window sticker in the glove compartment where the original owners had placed it with the manual and other papers. On the window sticker it had the car listed as $31,000. I don't appreciate being lied to and treated like this. I bought the car, but I don't ever intend to go back there again. I am seriously considering fileing a false advertisement suit against Chrysler Corp. and turning Hoyt Chrysler into the Better Business Bureau. I will definately tell everyone that I know how crooked they are.
Bought Jeep Cherokee. Ran great for first 10,000 miles. Every time it goes in for an oil change, something else needs to be done. Something costly. 15,000 miles in and the truck wouldn't start. Paid another $400 for starter to be replaced only to have it not start in the parking lot at the dealership. Very dangerous vehicle to drive. Dies as you drive. Avoid the headache and the hardship. Stay away from Jeep. No customer relations whatsoever. They s***! they deserve to go bellyup.
My dad bought a brand new 2011 Dodge 1500 pick up truck and drove it home Monday night. Tuesday he took it out onto the highway and up the hill when the entire back end began to shimmy and shake and bounce all over on smooth pavement. Again, this is a BRAND NEW vehicle. He had to have it towed back to the dealer. He put 15 miles on it total. From the lift marks under the rear of the truck, this vehicle obviously had problems and they knew about it and sold it to my dad anyway. We better see a replacement, a bunch of incentives not to smear our experience all over the net and some royal ass kissing from Dodge real fast.
Went in for serving found out pre-paid maintenance agreement had expired. How can a pre-payment of services that have not been performed expire????????????? You have 48 hours before I contact an attorney and file with the California Attorney General's office, the U. S. Attorney and the FTC. You are attempting to defraud! You also owe me an apology for this inference. J. A. Rico, lavonangel46@yahoo.com or 510-427-9754, 3115 Finnian Way apt 209 Dublin, CA 94568 yes I am retired!
I BOUGHT A 2007 DODGE RAM 1500 4X4 BIG HORN EDITION BRAND NEW IN 2007. SINCE I HAVE BOUGHT THE TRUCK THE POWER STEERING PUMP HAS BEEN REPLACED 3X, TRANSFER CASE REPLACED 1X, EMISSIONS CONTROL SYSTEM 1X,TRANSMISSION WIRING 1X, CONTROL MODULE 1X, TAIL LIGHT WIRING 1X, FRONT WHEEL BEARING ASSSEMBLY 1X AND NOW THE IGNITION SYSTEM IS OUT. THIS TRUCK HAS HAD THE ENGINE OIL CHANGED WITH FULL SYNTHETIC OIL EVERY 3 THOUSAND MILES AND STILL USES ATLEAST 1 QUART OF OIL IN BETWEEN EACH OIL CHANGE. NOW TELL ME THIS TRUCK IS NOT A LEMON AND CHRYSLER REFUSES TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT AT ALL. I LOVE HOW THEY ARE SO NICE WHEN U WALK ONTO ONE OF THEIR DEALERSHIPS WHEN THEY KNOW YOU ARE ABOUT TO SPEND $30,000 DOLLARS. ITS PATHETIC HOW THEY TREAT YOU WHEN YOU HONESTLY HAVE A PRODUCT THAT THEY MADE THAT IS A LEMON THIS IS NOONE FAULTS BUT DODGE MAKING A POOR PRODUCT. THE TAX PAYERS DOLLARS BAILED THE COMPANY OUT BECAUSE OF THINGS LIKE THIS IT WILL ONLY GET WORSE IF THEY DONT STAND UP AND TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE PRODUCT!!!
WHY HAVE THE NUMBER ONLINE IF WHEN YOU CALL YOU GET A BUSY SIGNAL! CHRYSLER NEEDS TO HEAR THE CUSTOMERS AND WHAT HAPPENS TO THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT....WE NEED TO STOP BUYING THEIR VEHICALS! THE CORPORATION NEEDS TO SEE THE ASSEMBLY LINE AND HIRE PEOPLE WHO KNOWS HOW TO BUILD THEIR VEHICALS BETTER1
I was a life long Chrysler person. I have purchased five cars including two of their high end SRT lines in the last five years. My cars are very well kept and have extremely low miles on them. My 2005 jeep grand limited has only 21 thousand. My complaint is with my 2008 jeep SRT8. This was my second SRT vehicle so I know how to care for them. This jeep had only twenty thousand miles on it when all off a sudden a rattle noise was coming from the engine. No warning lights no check oil or engine lights were on. I took it to a dealer and was told that there was no oil in the motor thus caused the motor to seize. I needed a new motor at 15 grand. I changed my oil by a professional every 3-4 thousand miles. Dealer and Chrysler Corp stated I voided my warranty due to abuse for failure to have oil. Countless call were placed with no help, Corp stated they go by the dealers views and the dealer states they go by what Corp tells them. Both refused to look at all my documentation of oil changes as well as finding the cause of how 8 quarts of mobile one oil could disappear with in 3 thousand miles. Oh yeah they also charged me six hundred to tell me my motor was blown. Chrysler failed to stand behind their product or even look into what happened. They refused to even look at my documentation. I spent three weeks trying to get managers or any one with in Corp to help all I got was more lies between Corp and the dealer. I canceled my order for my 2012 jeep SRT as I will also never buy another Chrysler product again. I have also filed a complaint against both Corp and the dealer RT 46 Jeep in little falls NJ (who also damaged my truck by cracking the entire front bumper, thus stating I gave it to them that way before throwing me out) as well as I plan on filing a civil case against Corp. I was always pro American with car purchases but after this I plan on buying BMW. They at least care about their customers as well as the product they put out. I beg anyone from Chrysler to contact me. You should all be ashamed for you just lost a very loyal customer. I will tell anyone who will listen how bad Chrysler treats their customers. If you take a look at most of these right ups we are all saying the same thing. You just don't care about us or the quality of products you put out. THAT IS WHY YOU NEEDED A BAIL OUT, THUS COSTING ALL OF US!!! Keep it up and sooner rather then later you will lose every one. Feel free to contact me LTLEO74@AOL.COM. For once stand behind your product and do what's right!
I have had a town and country 2008 since 10/2010 . I have had this Van into the dealer more than I have gotten to drive it !! I have had problems with tie rod ends , brakes , wheel bearings front and rear. I have the extended warranty also, they still find something to charge for ! Now it's the lugnuts were threaded wrong so now new nuts and that labor is not covered of course. Funny thing is they are the ones who have had to do this god knows how many times in less then 12 months . The dealer of course never wants admit they covered up a lot of chrysler issues also . There is a whole other story for the purchase itself (horrible ). I will never recommend to family frineds with this vehicle
My wife bought a new 2010 charger. At 26000 the engine has had to have new heads, rocker arms, win module, brake sensor, a new shifter and a fuel pump. What a lemon huh? Dodge refuses to buy the car back. We bought the car at our local dealer here in Ruston,,Louisiana. The Dealer will not help me at all.
I am very disappointed with the 2007 Dodge Caliber vehicle and the fact that there are some recals on the Electronic Throttle Control but yet my car has no recal out there. I am having the same problem as the ones that have a recal. There are several people with this problem. The Caliber is not dependable. Me as well as others have spend thousands of dollars and yet we have a vehicle that has been giving us problems from the beginning. When someone spends that amount of money you would surely hope that the car would be a dependable car for the time you are still paying on the car. I have two Dodge vehicles and my boyfriend has a Dodge truck. My Boyfriend is looking for another truck he was looking at the Dodge. He is now having second thoughts it is too bad that a multi million dollar company does not stand by their products they put out there and for that they will lose customers.
i have purchased 2 dodge ram trucks with in the last year and they replace my 2010 from me since they couldnt find the cause of the problem and gave me a 2011 ram that has had all four door panels that that were worped aqnd now it is having problems with the transmission with it unable to go in reverese and the dealership that i bought it through says that there is nothing wrong with it. this will be the last ram that i ever buy i should have just bought another chevy atleast they are relieable since i have owned it it has been in the shop 70% of the time DO NOT BUY A DODGE RAM
I have always been a Chrysler fan until now. I wanted a small economic car and purchased a 2009 PT Cruiser last November. It doesn't run right, uses as much gas as my Town & Country Minivan and (I know this may sound ridiculous) but I am sick and tired of the seats!! I've been driving for 35 years and have had many cars and NEVER have I had trouble with the seats staining like this. We've sat in the seats with damp bathing suits after swimming and the seats are completely stained!! I've even taken pictures of the seats because it's so bad. It's just water! They should dry out and not stain like that! Like I said, I've had many cars before and never experienced anything like this. It makes the car look awful!! I also can't find seat covers to properly fit to cover the seats!!! If I go to resell this car, no one will want it just because of how awful it looks!! It's only a 2009!!! :(
I have a 2004 Dodge Durango and only have had it for 2 years. It's given me nothing but problems. The service department is awful and even if you speak to a manager nothing gets done!!! They scam you & I wouldn't recommend anyone-family or friends to purchase a dodge or Chrysler!!! They are the worst vehicles to own!!!!!!!! I have gone back with my vehicle in a matter of two years like 10 times with problems. Customer survive sucks & so does the dealerships!!!!!!

i bought a 2010 town and country with 30,000 on it, it was a car rental car trade in. i put 15000 more mile i felt a vibration coming when i put my breaks on. i called 1800 992 1997 talked to leigh she told me my breaks would be covered under the extra warrenty i took out, she said that the dealer will try to tell u that its not covered. i will give u a reference num. i then took my van to the dealership told them what crysler told me and the reference num. 2 hrs later me dealer calls me and tells me i need brakes and that its not covered, i said thats what crysler told me. she then told me that they made a mistake its still gonna cost you 63.00 for him looking at it. then i called chrysler back to try to talk to someone about my problem im sorry thats all i got.like every thing else the consumer get craped on LETS FIGHT FOR WHAT WE STAND FOR
