Blockbuster in 120th and Colorado in Thornton Colorado. I have been a customer for many years and loves to watch movies and practically have seen most of the movies they have. The employees they have specially the ones who have been there a long time are very nice and helpfull. I didn't realize till now that the management of this store are prejudice. They discriminate. I was told when I tried to apply for a job that they only hire spanish speaking employees. I was confused, first of all this is the United States and the language we speak in this country is ENGLISH. And most of the movies customers comes in to watch is in ENGLISH. Why should we have to speak spanish??????? DISCRIMINATION IS WHAT I SAY.

If I could give fewer than 1 star I would! Blockbuster did not cancel my account when I requested ,nearly a year ago, and has continued to bill me since for service which I never used! Of course after speaking to manager "Daniel" no refund can be given. And according to Daniel there is no other manager to speak with other than the CEO whom he cannot provide name. A lot of hiding going on here. Blockbuster recruited many people from our town to their new service telling us we would only be billed for what we used...no monthly billing. Lie! Shortly after, they closed shop. CONVENIENT. No one to be held accountable. I WILL NEVER USE ANYTHING AFFILIATED WITH BLOCKBUSTER AGAIN.

Went to a Blockbuster in Fortworth Texas today to rent a cou[le of movies. Found what I was looking for and went to checkout. The sales clerk could bairly speak English . I'm sick to death of Blockbusters BS. Netflix will now be my movie source.

Didn't even want to give 1 start. As a loyal customer in fort worth since day one, I'm displeased with the hiring practices of blockbuster.Tried to apply for a position at one of several stores, and come to find out you MUST be BILINGUAL (specifically Spanish). This is plain and simply raciest.If they needed/wanted bilingual speaking employees (Spanish), why not have this listed for every position rather than selective stores. Maybe blockbuster will want only Spanish speaking customers for now on. I'm contacting local and state agency about this raciest hiring practice.

I was charged for 2 movies that i returned last month. when i called i was told by 2 young girls they could do nothing and basically called me a liar by saying I never returned the movies. i have witnesses that were with me at time of rental and return. i feel like i had money stolen straight from the bank. im headed to dispute it with the bank but have already put in a call to the better business people. they should not be able to take our money because of machines not properly working. i worked under blockbuster for several years and know that they would do anything to take customers money. once i figured it out I never went back. im an honest person and feel like im being taken advantage over movies that i could of actually purchased for a fourth of what i was charged!!!

After moving I accidently packed a blockbuster movie they charged me 23 dollars for the movie and when I called to pay it off, I get horrible customer service with employess that dont even.know their own business hours! Let alone how to look up an account! And when trying to reach blockbuster HQ their phone number is disconnected! What kind of "business" is this,?!

Hey all you BB employee's send your application to Netflix! They are hiring all the time and actually have people answer the phone 24/7 in one minute! They have great benefits and just opened a new customer service office in California. The best thing ever is they are in the USA not outsourced to the Philippines. When they answer the phone and say "I understand" they really do understand. I MUST thank BB for creating the by mail service and grossly mismanaging it. BB Corporate must be so proud. WOW you tie guys were really thinking. The boat has sailed and oops... you missed it. As my Grandpa used to say "Stop rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. Bye-Bye Blockbuster.

My family and I have been trading with the blockbuster store here in North Ogden. We have been mostly happy with them until today (July 10, 2012). We went into the store to rent some movies, and we found that we had a couple of movies that was late being returned. We thought that it might have our granddaughter that had rented the movies, this has before, and we always came home and checked with her to make sure. Either way the charges always get paid, either by my wife or by the granddaughter. The gal that was on duty says that we could not rent another movie until the charges were paid. The guy that was there also was no help at all. Don't you give any training to your help before sending them out.From the attitudes that these folks have is: I don't care if you take a movie or not--poor customer service. The only reason that I didn't rate the stars is because you don't have minus ones. For these two people rate about a minus ten. I got the impression that they were only there for a pay check! For an outfit that is about to go under, a lot training is needed.

I got a gift membership for my husband. After weeks passed and no movies were received, we called customer service who happily helped us. The first month I noticed 2 charges. I thought nothing about it....thought I was getting a month ahead. Noticed just recently it has happened for the last four months. Called to get refund and it amazingly sounded like Kimberlys' ordeal. I did find out that the customer service person had apparently made us another account...and although no movies were getting rented from that account because it had an invalid email address...they were charging me. I really would like to know how to get the 105 dollars that blockbuster "happily" helped me out of.

Blockbuster has really been going to shit lately. Now when I return movies IN THE STORE, it doesn't even clear the queue and I have to report it just so I can get my next set of movies. I'm definitely closing this account and will never open one again.

If anyone works for Blockbuster I recommend you type your resume, and find a new job. After belonging to Blockbuster since it began, and defending it with my family members and friends I am moving to Netflix. Apparently they can not clear your rentals off their computer when you return them. They are "aware of the problem". The store people are really nice but can not do anything about it. When you call the 800 (866) number my wife had two calls dropped. I tried, but they would not talk to me until I changed the account in my name (it already was my credit card). Change it to my name, and they finally were able to clear the titles (one was two weeks old and somehow we rented a movie and returned it on that movie without the computer even reflecting that. So, 20 minutes to the nearest Blockbuster, 10 minutes in the store, 20 minutes home, 1 hour on two dropped calls, and another 45 minutes till I could finally talk to someone in the Philippines (That was the accent I think I heard)to get this resolved. Can Blockbuster figure out what I am going to do?

YES, I JUST TRIED AGAIN TO RESOLVE THIS MATTER ..WITH A DANIEL WHO IS THE MANAGER AND I EXPLAINED TO HIM THAT MY HUSBAND DROPPED THE DVD IN THE SERVICE BOX BY MISTAKE. HE BASICALLY TOLD ME....TOO BAD SO SAD HE IS NOT GOING TO REFUND MY MONEY BECAUSE WE WERE TOO LATE CALLING HIM. LIKE, I TRIED TO EXPLAIN TO HIM THIS JUNE AND THOSE CHARGES JUST APPEARED ON DEBIT CARD. WE RENTED THE MOVIE MAY 15TH HAD WE KNOWN THE NEXT DAY THAT WE DROPPED IT IN THE WRONG BOX WE WOULD HAVE CALLED RIGHT THEN. I HATE TO SAY THIS BUT I CAN SEE WHY NETFLIX IS BEATING OUT YOUR SERVICE. IT WAS MISTAKE THAT WAS MADE AND A MANAGER TALKED TO A CUSTOMER LIKE THAT..IF SOMETHING IS NOT DONE ABOUT THIS I AM GOING REPORT YOU GUYS TO THE ..BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU BECAUSE THIS IS NOT FAIR..THIS WAS A SIMPLY MISTAKE, MY HUSBAND A DAM HUMAN BEING THAT MADE A MISTAKE..IT IS NOT LIKE YOU DID NOT GET BACK THE DVD..IF SOMEONE WANTS TO CONTACT ME MY NUMBER IS 954 245 5731.. I am an employee of Blockbuster and have become appalled with the conduct of Dish concerning their new employees gained in the buyout. We have been instructed to tell customers that if they do not give store the credit for any Dish subscription sales the store will be closed. As in if the store does not sell Dish the store is being closed. On top of that full time benefits have been taken away and unavailable to the employees. For example an assistant manager was promoted and took full time benefits as his wife was expecting. Now those benefits are gone and he has a crap paycheck with a baby on the way. No one has gotten a raise in over two years. Dish justifies it by saying we get commission from selling a Dish subscription in the store. But who comes to Blockbuster with the expectation of signing up for a new TV provider. The idiocy running amock amongst the Regional/District managers are absurd. They believe that because employees are having their families sign up for Dish (out of fear of termination and write-ups) that Dish sales are natural for the Blockbuster rent-a-movie environment. There is no employee loyalty and the suits in the ivory towers have shown nothing but the ill regard to their employees. I wouldn't be surprised if the next Employee Handbook issued will say 'Cattle Handbook'.

I joined Blockbuster through the Dish TV promotion, but DVD's take too long to ship which is why I will stay with Netflix. I mailed back a DVD on Monday, 6/4 and Blockbuster did not show it as received until 6/7. Today is 6/10/12 and Blockbuster has yet to mail another DVD from my queue. With Netflix, I received a DVD the next day. Netflix also mails out another DVD the same day it is received. I will stay with Netflix and their great customer service.

I worked at blockbuster for a little under a year and the store i worked at had closed down. My incompetant manger never changed my address as he promised he would get around to it. I havent receivced my final paycheck and its been a month. When I contacted my manager he said "I dont know if i changed you address I dont remember". I would now like to take a legal action and sue. I have called dish and blockbuster payroll offices numerouse times and no one has gotten back to me, I am clearly pissed.

I think its funny so called store mangers go on here with there in store replies.. yes we cancel auto-renwel because when they come back and decide they wanna keep it we renew it and get the extra $5 in our paychecks.. I think they come on here becuase even they know they suck.

Terrible service DON'T EVEN DESERVE A STAR!!! @ the Canoga Park store, whats soo.. SAD it comes directly from the MANAGER! the employees do a better job then him. SO SAD, blockbuster should know why they are going out of business! a store at a time, because they have MANAGERS that don"t know how to work with people! charging customers for damages we don't do! shame on you!! GOOD LUCK BLOCKBUSTER WITH YOUR CANOGA PARK STORE!!
