The hotel was very bad, grass outside was knee high, wet folded towels inside, cat smell inside, would not give me a blanket, hot tub had a tarp over it. Was horrible, will never use ORBITZ ever again. When you try speaking to a representative they are all rude and from Gautamala or the Phillipines who you can't understand! ORBITZ will give you a $20.00 voucher to use them again which is a f****** joke! The manager at Worst western is extremely rude and argues over everything you try to tell her. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My wife and I and my two grandkids stayed at the High country Inn in ogden ut. The room was the worst stay we have ever encounted at a Best Western. After giving our evaulation on email about our stay the General Manager Brandon Peterson contacted us to talk about our stay and to find out what happen. He was very concern about our comments and wanted to correct the problems right away. After our conversation with Mr. Peterson we were very pleased with him as a Manager and with his concerns to fix the problems so nobody else will have the same situation. Mr Peterson should be congradulated as a General Manager he did a great job to make sure we were happy and he addressed our needs. Unfortunitly the manager can not just follow his staff around and make sure things are going good. Mr. Peterson is a great Manager and corperate should congraulate him on a job well done. Thank You Mr. Peterson, on our next trip we will try it again at your hotel.

We stayed at the Best Western in Mountain Home Idaho. We have stayed there at least 3 to 4 times in the last 2 yrs. The pool is fantasy for adults and especally for kids, the rooms are always excellent and the staff are top of the line people. If you want a excellent stay this is the Best Western for you. We always try to plan our trips so we can stop there. The Manager and all the staff should be given awards for a EXCELLENT job well done. It is so nice knowing that when I check in there is nothing wrong with anything. Keep up the great work and looking forward to staying there again and again. 10 Stars for you guys .

Best Western? BEST?? maybe one day you were "the Best" but today I try to go elsewhere! on a recent three week trip I stayed at a Best Western twice principally because I was in a small town and I didn't like the looks of the flea trap across the street - But, I think I would have done better with them, however. On both stays I was met with excessively high rates - $119 and $99 plus tax. Most decent motel chains ran from $69 to $85. The last BW stay was in Refugio, Texas where I was met with a room that smelled heavily of mold and mildew and the air conditioner apparently was not functioning as I had it on "high cool" and down to 65 degrees and it still didn't remove the humidity from the room - I felt "sticky" all night!!! Like all "foreign owned" BWs this one heavily smelled of incense and Curry and was badly in need of normal routine maintenance. There were no elevators to the second floor - probably to save money in construction and to maximize profits. This is something I had not seen of heard of since the 1930s. There was no complimentary coffee in the day/evenings, the soda machine had 90% of the items "Sold Out" and the candy/snack machine was "broken". The room lighting was 40 to 60 watt energy saver bulbs which made it very dark inside. From now on I will NOT break my resolve and will seek another motel even if I am dead tired and have to drive all night. If you as the "corporate" franchise owner continue to allow this sham to continue you are surely after the money of a past glory and have no true interest in the traveling public.

Do your self a favor do not stay at Best Western anywhere!!!This is the worst company service ever that I have seen.I stay at Best Western in Jacksonville beach,fl and the service that one recieved is awful.They are trying too say that my mother and i smoked in their hotel and wanted to charge us $200.00 for this,but mother and I are unsmokers and didn't do this.But they charged my credit card $200.00 and when talking to the front desk lady about this matter she wasn't wanting too listen too what I had too say.This lady was so unprefessional that it wasn't funny.She used vulgar with with me and was just so unprefessional. I couldn't believe it.I had too go though my credit card company too get this removed and I'm still dealing with this case.I'll NEVER stay at BEST WESTERN again in my life...Please for anyone out there do your self a favor and don't stay at this place...

The best western in swansboro nc has a very rude manager who is quite unprofessional. She was sitting in the back speaking loudly and did not notice us standing at the front desk. She was "gossipping" about other employees with a dark haired girl in a grey shirt and jeans. I also can say that not only I but also another guest were eaten up by bed bugs. They didn't seem to care. Do yourself a favor and DON'T STAY THERE!!!!!! Unless of course they get rid of that manager of theirs.

Fort Worth Best Western Inn and Suites - HORRIBLE MANAGER!!!! Workers seem nice - but this guy makes it not worth staying there.

Just stayed at The BestWestern in Thousand Oaks, looks like it lived up to everyones opinion of it. Will never stay at any of these hotels nor would I refer it. The breakfast we had they overcharged by $4.00 of what the menu said, the place was dirty and the food was awful. Drove 9 hours and couldn't check in at 8:30 am, had no where to go at that time, it would be nice to have some rooms ready for early check in. The guy at the front desk was too busy when we came back giving 2 women directions for 10 minutes when it would have been professional to check us in and then get back to them. Never again ....Do not stay here !!!

If there were 0 stars that is what best western deserves. Their cancellation policy is UNBELIEVEABLE. We were to stay in the Best Western in Bradford, PA and my son reserved the room. We had to cancel because of a medical emergency. When my son was to check in he told them he only needed one room. They said they had to charge him for both. After a long heated conversation, (customer is not always right at Worst Western) he decided that he was not going to stay there and was going across the street to a competitor. They said fine we will put both rooms on your card, which they already had. Not or user friendly I travel witha number of retired friends and we frequently used Best Western to and from and at our destination. I will be sure to share this story with them. We may want to choose a chain with a more forgiving policy because you know things do happen!!!

My husband and I go fishing in Freeport Texas quite often, so when we do we try to stay in a hotel in Clute Texas. We have stayed at Best Western quite often. We stayed this past weekend on Saturday night and did not arrive until about 9:30 at night after coming off of the beach. I am 55 years old and my husband is 50 years of age. We received a call from the the front desk with a complaint of us running in the room and throwing things. Said the complaint came from the room below us. Now my husband has a fractured ankle that he has been trying to get to heal over the past few months and I have two bad knnes. When we came in from the beach we took our showers, ordered Pizza and laid on the bed and watched Tv. The Lady at the front desk called and told me the compaint and after I told her we laying in bed watching Tv, she again told me the complaint and told me we needed to cut it out. I hung up the phone after speaking with her and the longer I laid there the madder it made me. I thought her approach to the matter was very rude. When I told the lady the next morning, a different lady than when we checked in) she knew right away what room we were in and she knew why the complaint was being made. She said she knew it was because of the people that were in the room below us. She said they were very difficult people. I understand if we had kids with us or if we had been acting up, but the lady at the front desk did not even give me a chance to explain. she just told me to cut it out. I will stay there again, but I did not appreciate this at all.

I cannot believe the staff that is hired at this place. Corporate, dont you think its time for a change? look at these reviews. Ive seen first hand that Your staff dresses in dirty shirts untucked their hair unkept, their service is terrible, ive been cursed at by your employees, had managers take an employees side over a patron with no good reason. the whole place is dirty and dreary, no one has a positive comement to leave.. dont you think its seriously time to change? How can you be happy with sucking like this?

WOW! Were was this when I booked our rooms last week???? If I would have been privy to this site before hand I would have known what we learned! I have never in my life stayed in what I considered to be a classy hotel as nasty as this! This was our honeymoon weekend and it was ruined by the condition of the Best Western Plus Hotel at 2575 S 11th Street Kalamazoo MI 49009. Filthy! Bottom sheets didn't fit the mattress so everytime you moved it popped off which is just GROSS!! Carpet was GROSS ... put shoes on and not only did your feet stick to your sandals but to the carpet and you walked! Jacuzzi room is what we paid for but 2 people couldn't be in it at the same time which defeated the whole purpose of having it! Kids running up and down the hallway till 3am.. complained and it continued! We wanted to leave after the 1st night but with a "no refund" policy we couldn't afford to waste the money and pay to go elsewhere. I can see why they have this policy.... they would never make any money! I am very disappointed in the quality and treatment of your hotels and I feel cheated! You should be ASHAMED of your business practices and give us a full refund! We are farmers and money is not something we can just throw away!! Maybe all the people that have posted here should ban together and go to the press!

I have stayed at the best western in Jamestown New York on several occasions I should of learned on my last trip but i thought they just made a mistake. "everyone makes mistake" but this time i have had it . We paid cash for both rooms and the extra night and still i come home to find that my credit card has been charged. I never gave authorization for anyone to hold money on my card we paid in CASH. There has been no authorization given for anyone to access my credit card. The room was dark but we did not want to spend much time in the room we had events going on this stay there outside the hotel. The toilet in the one room would not flush correctly but the maintance left his plunger just in case we need to plung the toilet ok thats something i wanted to do on my stay in this hotel. I then had to smell the waste for the rest of the weekend. I really just over looked this due to we had no other choice but to stay in this hotel. All the other hotels in the area were booked believer me we tried to change hotels. Not only this time but the last time I stayed in this hotel they did the same thing on the credit card. So to all beware and take note of your card that you have listed for this hotel.I really do not plan on staying at this hotel again and from reviews i am guessing this is like this everywhere so maybe it is there corporate office that needs to be address.

Naples FL staff most incompetent on the planet. Never waste a penny or a breath even trying to speak to 1 of these idiots. Accidently left my cell phone there which they supposedly found and mailed, charged $25 for a UPS ground fee, but its been over a week and I still havent gotten it. Thanks for f-ing nothing

My 7 month pregnant wife and I got a room on-line for a week through one of those on-line sites priceline.com,hotels.com,ext.ext. When we puchased the room it said they were pet friendly. Well when we got here to kissimme,fl at the best western lakeside to check in they told us there was a $7 a day resort fee. ???? I'm still looking for the resort. I felt I had been decieved with a bait and switch. And I had. To make thing worse when we got back to the room today we were locked out by the hotel! They shut our keys off! Now they are saying we either need to pay them a $10 a day "pet fee" or they are throwing us out a day before we are due to leave. Nobody at the front desk asked about a pet and the only sign there was was one saying they have a pooch park. I am waiting to speak with the manager Ellen I believe her name is. I just hope she is more friendly than the last woman I spoke to at the front desk. The last woman said we must pay it or leave. I feel lied to and decieved and they used a bait and switch on me cause no where on the site I rented the room did it say anything about a $10 a day pet fee or a $7 a day resort fee. They just sprung the resort fee on us at check in and the pet fee on us on day 6 of our 7 day stay and they want us to retro pay the pet fee for the whole week now. I am seeking legal counsil so if there are any lawyers out there who wis to contact me feel free to. There have been many guest complaining about them doing this. They may be subject to a class action law suit. You can't bait and switch people. You can't advertise 1 thing in order to get the consumer to buy then give them another or hit them with multiple fees that we not agreed upon by the consumer prior to the sell. BEST WESTERN AMBASSADOR INN&SUITES 610 S.FRONTAGE RD. WISCONSIN DELLS,WI I call the hotel on June 12,2011 to make a registration for June16 and17th to the hotel and they give me the confirmation number. When I got there they stated that we did not had a registration,and my name was not in there computer system. The hotel staff was not nice to us. We pay with cash for two nights. When we got to our room we didnot had a handcap stool. I went down and the stafftold me that they donot return cash to us. I say like to had the cash and find another hotel for Fri,night and the hotel staff says they donot return cash to anybody. So we stay at the hotel. The refrigerate in the room had pizza bread dated June 10,2011 in it on June16 still in the refri. so the housekeeping never check refrigerates in the rooms. Also the tv had dust on it that wasn't clean. In the bathroom the tub/shower had a hole in and they fix the hole so bad there was a big point sticking up 2 inches from the patch . This is my worst BEST WESTERN HOTEL IN MY WHOLE LFE IN U.S.

wish i could rate this a MINUS 5!!!! stayed at the best western, lakeside in kissimee, fl. from 6.14.11 (checked in about 2am) until 6.18.11. our room was cleaned only 1 time as they would get to our room in the afternoon, like 2-3 pm or later while we were there. we would be gone all morning and early afternoon and still the room wasn't cleaned. just asked them to bring us fresh towels. the one time that the room was cleaned it was an ok job. also, water was spilled on the bed, our fault by accident, but ALL the bedding was soaked thru to the padding, the mattress was fine. this was about midnight. i called the front desk IMMEDIATLY, and they said someone would be right over. ten after 12 another call was placed, was told someone should have been there already. 12:20 yet ANOTHER call was made...this time the response was 5 more minutes. the final call was made at 12:30 and this time we were told that HE WAS LOOKING FOR THE BEDDING. what????? NOW you're looking for it???? chose that place because of the location and BEST WESTERN used to mean something.....NOT ANY MORE!!!! the place needs a heavy duty overhaulling, to put it mildly and no type of security!!! will drive further for better!

Stayed in Chadron,Nebraska and it was not pleasant. The first time the commode was used it stopped up. I called the front desk and they told me to come get the plunger! WHAT?! I asked for another room but he seemed shocked to think we'd want to move. The clerk said the plunger would work..."it's happened before". It didn't work!! Demanded another comparable room but it was far from it. That commode wasn't much better. When I questioned the comparability of the rooms, he said they were the same price. There was no comparison. The motel was not crowded so I know he had better rooms. The next morning, we asked the clerk on duty about the price and told her about the situation. She was rude and quickly set us straight that the rooms were comparable. So, this retired couple paid $106.69 for a crummy, old, outdated room. I couldn't wait to get back on the road. After reading above, I'm glad I didn't look for bed bugs. We have found Hampton Inns, LaQuinta and Holiday Express to always be very clean and well run. Never again will we stay at a Best Western. My rating is a -5.

me and my husband,booked a room,on the phone on 6-9-2011.for the dates 6-11 to6-14,I told the lady on the phone we needed a king room,smoking on bottem floor cause i have disables,she said she had a room.so i booked it and gave her my card number.this was at the bestwestern 5817 northampton blvd in virginabeach,va.after driveing 10 hours ,when we got there,she checked us in and gave us our room cards,went we walked out to go look for our room we found out it was on second floor,i went back into the office and said i booked a ground floor room,she said she had nothing,that people stayed longer.ifelt they should have knock money off my room for the hassle,we had no chose but to take upstairs.it was very hard on me to go up&down the steps,the room was nice,but bed was lumpy,on the 6-13.we went into office to tell them we was leaving at 12.00am can we have a wake up call.when back to our room our keys didnt work and they gave our room to some one why our stuff keyswas still there.we went back down to office,and told them our room keys didnt work.and the other people was mad that they tryed to put them in a room that people was not even checked out of.i,m sorry this was just bad bussince.i feel i didnt get what i payed for,they didnt even spell my last name right.you really need to train your office staff better.i really fell you should knock money off my bill.
