I placed an order online on the 6th of April. I got an e-confirmation but no shipment. I 4/10/2012 I called to why it hadn't shipped yet and the customer service representative told me that some of my parts were not available. I only ordered parts that stated "IN STOCK" so it would all get to me. These were not rare parts, but regular tune-up parts. The customer service rep was a joke and the statement that Autozone will go the extra mile is malarkey, in my opinion. I wasn't notified by e-mail that parts weren't available or even called but the minute I canceled my order, I got an e-mail within seconds. What a joke!! I will not be shopping at Autozone and I'm a car/truck hobbyist. My amount will not shut them down but I'll be spreading the word to friends and family.
I was previous employee at store number 2628. I got fired somewhere around November, and here it is May and have not gotten my W2’s yet. Every time I go up to the store they keep telling me to enter my ignition password and employee id number. Well I know longer work there so I don’t have an employee id anymore RIGHT? Well I keep entering it and it says expired or forgotten password please try again. So I keep trying again and then it tells me to wait a couple hours to try again. I’ve called corporate several times and they all give me the run around on what to do. One guy says to go there and tell the manager to get on the phone to corporate and they will assign me a new password to get into the system. But when I go there and try to do that they say it’s not that easy. Then another person told me that it was sent in the mail on March 15. Never got it and still haven’t. Then another person tells me to call them and they do it over the phone, then I have to fax my social security card and drivers license to them and employee id. No I am not faxing anything to you people because it is obvious something in the corporate office has got to change. You need to organize your stuff a little better and help your employees out and your former. I did enjoy my job there at AutoZone and never wanted to quit, but I had family issues at the time that allowed my termination. It is obvious you people don’t give a shit about nothing. So what exactly do you people in corporate do? Sit on your asses and count all that money that we employees help you get? What is wrong with you people? Something in corporate has got to change. The computer system even sucks and should be changed tremendously, I think things are only getting worse up there in corporate. Well I don’t know exactly what you guys expect me to do from here but all I can do is keep trying or get human resources involved cause by law you were suppose to have those W2’s sent out before March!!!!!!!!!!!! So I may take things in my own hands.
I was a commercial manager at store 0773 for approximately 2 years and had inceased the customer base and sales since I took over in 2011. I was greatly concerned about giving my commercial customers the best possible service available. I was told when I took over the commercial sales that I should run it like it was my business which I did and of course followed autozone procedure to do so.I was on a first name basis and had good working relationships with all of my accounts,I am ase certified and had been working in the parts wholesale business for 20 plus years.I had been in store 0773 through 4 different store managers. I have always tried to do the best job representing autozone as possible but I had also built trust up with my commercial accounts.Within the last 6 months we had got a new store manager and I was willing to try to work with him building a better commercial base, but he came into the store and immediately had the attitude you do things my way or it is the highway. If you look at my account comments and look at my past evaluations you will see that I more than performed my job requirements. I was called outside to have one on one talks with him on a number of occasions at which time he would downgrade me and threaten my job if I didn't do exactly as he said. I had no problem doing my job but he was a control freak. I knew how to do my job and all I needed was support from him having commercial phones answered when I was not available and my customers handled quickly and professionally when I was not able to do so. There was many days that we were extremely busy and could not even get out of store to go to lunch because of coverage issues knowing that commercial phones would not be answered properly because we were having difficulty covering DIY phones and customers. I did not miss work I was not late to work and I went above and beyond to do my job. there was an instance where he demanded I leave my job station and go outside with him and knowing that I was going to be berated for things unknown I refused to go outside because of reasons I already stated and he sent me home,I lost a days pay and feel that it was very unfair because I never had witness to what was said to me during these discussions. he was constantly harrasing me and I told him one day to let me do my job and I was running the commercial dept,to which he replied I run everything in this store and you work for me. I replied I work for Autozone to which I again was sent home. I had attended a number of commercial trainig meetings and was given directions on how to conduct business for Autozone and had a problem because he was making promises to accounts and selling Items at prices that were unacceptable. The big picture was that I was responsible for the profits and losses in the commercial dept and it directly affected my paycheck as well as my job status.I was recently relieved of my duties with Autozone and this was all made possible thanks to the New store manager and a HR dept that refused to look at the total picture as in why, what, and how did this happen. This is the thanks I recieved for doing a good job for an employer that could care less and only could see what they wanted to see.
I have been a customer of the autozone located at 20138 N US 281 in San Antonio, Texas 78259 for the last 2 years. I recently (december) purchased a new alternator and battery because the alternator I had on my 1990 Honda Accord failed on me. I had the part installed at a reputable shop here in town. Now 3 months later I had to buy a new alternator and put another $180 out of pocket for a faulty electrical relay on the alternator. I called the autozone I bought the part from and spoke with the mgr Calvin. I explained I had to buy a new alternator and now needed another new battery because of the previous alternator draining the battery as well. I told him I wanted my money back for the old alternator and a new battery and to reimburse me for the crappy defective part they sold me. When I went in this afternoon I spoke with the parts manager who preceded to tell me they weren't responsible for covering the labor that had to be redone because of the piece of shit part they sold me. He the preceded to ask me the year of my car and then laughed at me when I told him the year and then he told me that "alternators go out all the time". New alternators go out all the time? After 3 months of regular use? Seriously? BULLSHIT they do.
I have been a autozone customer for sometime now and never really had any real issues with the parts until recently. About a week ago I visited the decatur store on covington and wesley chapel, I brough a fuel pump that was not the right part. When I went to return the part after my mechanic told me that I was given the wrong part for a 92 volvo, I was told that part was not returnable because it had been used. I don't understand how I'm able to buy the parts but if I see if they fit or work on the car I they is no good because it was installed. So now I brought a part I can't use and as far as your store I just gave them 60 dollars for nothing...... How and why is that please respond
Last year I worked for an auto/used car lot/salvage yard as an auto tech (mechanic) I went to an a/c refresher coarse sponsorred by auto zone.upon completion we where suppose to receive certificates and as of one year later I. Have pursued every action I can think of to get it and it is always the same result."we will get the the bottom of it.as of today 4-1-2012 no one has ever contacted me or even retuned a courtesy call not one thing has been done.furthermore I have proof that I attended this class. Never again will I use auto zone for myself.22-23 years I have used them.they suck!!!
Store # 3422 is also a very bad atmosphere for its employees and customers alike. The manager is a pathological liar and only hires females that he feels he would be able to sleep with. He also lies consistantly to his employees, alters employees hours so as he doesn't have to pay overtime. And retribution is a given if anything is said against him. He is not only a very poor supervisor but a piss poor excuse for a manager. For a company who says customers come first putting customers first usually ends up in some form of disciplinary action. I have seen first hand of the hostile, discrimintory acts constantly performed against his employees. Previous complaints have come to no action.I already know for a fact that I will most likely feel retribution just from writing this letter but i feel this is a very bad position that all employees are in just being employed at this location. This has to come to an end. The manager of this location is a very unstable individual who could be the next work place violence incident waiting to happen. His name is Avery nelson. Considering Autozone has taken extensive time and effort to write a policy and procedure . The fact is that the manager carries a firearm in his vehicle and other misc weapons to the workplace and adding to this he is a very unstable individual this is scary situation. Adding this as a policy violation but a violation of Colorado Statutes carrying a concealed weapon without a permit. In addition store employees do not get any support from their District Manager in any shape or form. Schedules are posted and changed without notice to the employee and if they are unable to conform to spur of the moment changes additional retribution is not only expected but apparently warranted as per the manager. If the employees dont complete requests to assist the manager in his personal life. They are placed on his shit list and their hours are cut. I have asked for a short leave 7-9 days for a family emergency and was told that he was unable to assist in rescheduling and that I was unable to utilize F.M.L.A. and that he wasn't going to change his schedulde to help. I was told that i was not going to get paid for this leave requested even though by the time this was to occur my anniversary date would have passed. When i explained that i didn't have a choice i had to leave to take care of moving my mother who is loosing her house and in failing health. i was told " oh well ". At this time i was told that i was, along with all other employees that we were all lazy and didn't do nothing and that he was not going to cater to his employees anymore. Avery started to yell at me in front of multiple customers. Another employee stated to Avery that this situation was very unprofessional and that he needed to reprimand in private and not yell in front of customers Avery acted like he wanted to become physically violent with the other employee and asked him if he was calling him out. Not only this is very unprofessional but a positive sign of a poor supervisor and very poor management. Additional employees have seen multiple situations where the management was and still is a major liability for this company but nothing seems to come of it. Even though there is many questions about his leadership abilities but also of his personal stability...
I was just in the store in Bridgeview IL getting a diagnostics test done on my car,,,the gentleman helping was wonderful along with James who sent the boy to help me was very helpful..But while the attendant was helping me Sammy from the store came out and started yelling asking the boy what are you doing.....etc.....I tried to say the boy was helping me because my car is............but Sammy cut me off and didn't let me finish...to explain the car's problem.....He was very rude and condensending.....to me...a woman who is old enough to be his mother,,,so much for his customer service....Also,,,he had a a grey shirt so I am assuming he's management..what kind of employee people skills is that? Yelling at an employee in front of a customer? This is terrible...I expect an response to this matter and I hope you or someone will reprimand Sammy on how to be manager. The folks standing in line do NOT need to hear what your employee in store problems are...I guess "Commercial went home,,they go home when they want. " Phones were ringing off the hook and the line was to the door.. Please advise on this matter..I may be conctacted directly at 708-387-0070 ext207...from 8am - 430pm...after 5pm I maybe reached at 708-516-4570. Needless to say I still don't know what to do about my car and I broke down on a mile long bridge.....during rush hour.
3-8-12 tried purchasing an oil filter. As of today, no oil filter. When I paid for it with my credit card, I was told it would be in in a few days and someone would call me (they did but it wasn't AutoZone, instead now I'm getting crank calls). Worse yet, when I tried going in and checking on my 3-8-12 purchase, I was told unless I had a receipt, there was nothing anyone could do for me. On top of that, last night I ordered a manual choke lit, paid for it on-line, rec'd their email saying the part was ready for pick up at my area AutoZone, but when I told the Employee I'd paid for it on-line, he mumbled something to the effect he knew what the item was, kept mumbling saying something like it isn't usually in the store, we don't stock it, I tried interrupting and saying look if you have the part fine, give it to me or tell me you don't have it. Instead this exceptional Employee then said something like, we don't carry it, and I started to walk out the door. Only then did the Employee give the first real indication that the part was there (I had to ask him to go get it and give it to me). No means I found to contact anyone at AutoZone's corporate to get them (not me) on their regional store office's case. Instead we're supposed to call their "regional office". I'm never going back there again and that's what I'm going to tell their regional office when I call them and thereby spend the last dime I will on AutoZone.
ARE YOU SERIOUS AUTOZONE???? Just wondering when corporate office will get off their butts and investigate whats actually going on in their stores. As a member of management for this company I would like to know how so many problems at store #3806 keep getting overlooked. There was a manager in training that came into the store and got more accomplished in two weeks than the store manager has done in months. The store manager has said to several people that he and the district manager are related, I believe that this is nepotism that they should not be working in the same district. It does explain how the store manager keeps getting away with making his fulltime employees work twelve hour shift and six day work weeks while he works his normal shift and gets his two days off a week, if they say anything about not wanting to work twelve hour shifts they are given shifts under forty hours a week. It has also been brought to peoples attention that when having to be in at 5 AM the manager is in the back sleeping while other employees are having to work. The store manager is always walking around with his cell phone out texting and trying to avoiding customers.
I wanted to recognize the Autozone in temple TX. Friday while driving to work my truck died about a block away from autozone, and would not start so I assumed that I had a problem with my starter. After walking to autozone I noticed an employee (Justin) taking his break so I asked him a few questions about my problem.. he said the starter was a possibility and said he would gladly walk inside to do some research.after quoting parts and describing different ways to tell if it was really my starter. He then asked to take a look at the truck and I told him that my truck died a block or two up the road.. he said he was not allowed to just leave the store but let me know his lunch was soon and he would happily help me push it to the store to be parked and moved out of the road. He spent his entire lunch helping me push and diagnose my problem. And turns out I had a bad connection to my battery, he showed me the terminals I needed and even came back out to my truck to install terminals and test my battery. If it were you not for him I would have spent well over $400 for no reason at all, I left autozone with 10 dollars less than when I walked in. Just wanted to say I will be an autozone customer for life. Big thanks to the temple TX autozone and Justin the young man that fixed my truck for pennies compared to what I would have spent without such great customer service!
Autozone is a joke. Most of the people they hire are jokes and don't know what a lug nut is. I wished I had went to Napa instead. This place is extremely discriminative. My sm got fired because she was a woman. My dm is an asshole. All hr calls get forwarded to him. They expect the most rediculous things from you and threaten your job if u can't or don't. They cut ur hours to inflate stock at quarter end. Fuck AutoZone. From an eployee ...don't shop here. The parts suck ne ways
If I could I would give them a zero I would . I had thought the store in fond du lac wi had gone out of business, no one answers the phone ever, I have tried numerous times during store hours, and even had the operator check to make sure the line was working. Even when the operator placed the call, no answer. So I drove to the store and placed a call from just outside the store, could hear the phone ring, and the employees just stand there and play with their fricking cell phones. That was all I needed to see, all my business is going anywhere else but to your stores. You need to get real management. Your store chain will fail if these poor business practices keep up.
i bought a fuel pump not the complete assembly from the store on 53rd and Ashland(5301 Ashland in CHICAGO IL.). A couple months later my fuel pump went out again. I replaced it 3 days ago and it went out again. I asked since it keeps going out can I buy the the complete assembly and pay the difference on the old one.. they told me no, that I wold have to buy a new one and bring the old one back,we would swap the old pump out and you would have two separate warranties.that make no sense when i could give the old one back and pay the difference for the rest of the assembly. I asked to speak to a manager and the service rep named Marcus put me on hold for 15 min and never got back on the phone nor got the manager.............terrible service like usual from that place... they need more help. Also I cant find the corporate number to call in my complaint on the manager and workers. I still cant get this problem solved
I am very disturbed by Autozones' pulling of their ads from the Rush Limbaugh show. Has anyone heard of free speech or the 1st Amendment? So you did not like what he said, turn the radio off. When left wing commentators use the same language about conservatives no one calls for a boycott of their advertisers. I for one have bought my last products from Autozone. If they want to give in to a boycott of a citizen who was speaking his mind and then apologized as he should have I see no reason to do business with them. Boycotts cut both ways.
I have done my final purchase with Auto Zone. Cant tell you how many times ive been disappointed with their special order services. This last ordeal sealed it with me. I have bought thousands of dollars worth of parts, partly becauce of the rewards program. I went inactive in buying because of shoulder surgery but when I returned I found out my points were erased due to being inactive. I needed one more purchase to get a reward but they erased my points. Ive had it with Auto Zone. I will take my purchases elsewhere.
I used to love AutoZone but now I am writing to protest your support of Rush Limbaugh and his horrible, offensive, disgusting comments about women. I expect you to pull your ads from his program. Half your customers are women. You cannot afford to insult them in this barbaric way. There is something terribly wrong with him.
My family and I have been long standing customers of Auto Zone here in Michigan. I'am outraged over Rush Limbaugh's statements on air about the young women that had testfied in Congress. I seen that you are a advertiser of his show. He needs to taken off the air for his fowl and ignorant statements on air. As a customer of yours I just wanted you to know since you support this show I and my family will no longer go to Auto Zone for our car and truck needs. I would think as a long standing company you would not want to be associated with a man like this. Thank You for your time. Debra Matznick
I have never recieved such horrible customer service in my life!!! I go in to get brake fluid and to have my check engine light checked and the lady tells me i have low transmission fluid so she "looks up" my car type and model and goes to the back and come back with the fluid. I get home and add the transmission fluid to my car only to find out that its the WRONG kind. So i am now putting in a new $3,200 transmission in my car because their staff is so uneducated!!! So i call and complain to a manager and have yet to be called back and it turns out the lady NEVER looked up my car model in the computer and just guessed on the type of fluid my car needed!!! Had she taken the extra 5 seconds it takes to look it up she would have seen that they do not carry the fluid and it can only be purchased from a Nissan dealer!!! Now they are getting sued because of their stupid employer!!! good job guys, good job!!!!!
On January 16,2012 I decided after months of procrastination to do my own oil change. I entered your store located at 14672 Military Trail in Delray Beach FL at about 2 o’clock. There was only one person who seemed to be working there and she was with a customer with a few waiting. I checked out the hub caps & seat covers and waited until someone was available. No one greeted the customers, “Thank you for choosing Auto Zone, Someone will be will you as soon as possible.” Silence filled the store. I noticed a gentleman in the parts, taking inventory or something but it didn’t appear he was helping anyone even though there were customers waiting. When my turn came I told her I wanted to take advantage of your oil change specials, explained the specifications of my vehicle and got the prices. You did not have a 5 gallon jug in synthetic so she got 5 individual quarts. I did not know what oil I used other than I wanted synthetic and she said it wasn’t something the computer told her so I went to my car, popped the hood, read the information from my oil cap and grabbed my handbook. I learned my car takes 5w-30. The store was busy so I didn’t mind taking the quarts back to the shelves and restocking them. I grabbed a 5 quart jug of what I needed off the shelf and paid. I was excited to be saving time and money and thrilled to be doing it myself. I headed to a friend’s mechanic shop to take care of the oil change. I used two jacks and propped my car up to drain the oil. I was beyond low, and the black oil drained to probably less than a whole quart. I screwed on the new filter and got up to open and pour in the new oil. When I removed the cap, I noticed there was a seal and it was open. My initial thought, strange, but its oil. Then I started to pour it and realized it was not nearly as dark as what just came out of my car but I was pretty sure it wasn’t the right color. My friend laughed and said that is used oil. I respond “no I just bought it” pulled it off the shelf myself. Needless to say I was slightly bothered, but hey it was a beautiful day and stuff happens. I called the store … now I go from being level headed and understanding … to YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING ME!!! SERIOUSLY!!!! The young lady who answered was polite but basically said I would need to come back & get another jug. I can’t drive my car without oil. It is a Monday and everyone I know is at work. I ask for the manager, who basically acts like I was lying then proceeds to tell me they can drive to authorized locations but not to me. I’m not 20 miles away. I am less than 8 miles south, 3 I-95 exits, but whatever. I walk 10 blocks to Advanced Auto Parts. I have my three legged dog that can not walk ten blocks so I carry him on and off. I pay more for the replacement oil than I paid for the complete oil kit through you. I walk back and complete the oil change and drive to the store. I know someone mistakenly putting the used oil on the shelf rather than in the oil recycling was simply an over sight of a new employee, an employee who had too many customers and not enough back up or just confusion. However, when I arrived at Autozone the manager had already left for the day. Now why the manager could not have offered to bring the new oil to me when he would be leaving the store in a hour or so is beyond me. He left the store in less time than it took me to walk to get replacement oil, finish the oil change & drive back to the store. “I am sorry I can’t bring it to you I have a prior engagement. I’m sorry for the inconvenience this is causing you” Nothing said to apologize for this very inconveniencing, expensive, and time comsuming mistake. He offered on the phone to refund my oil but since I had to buy replacement oil from another store at a higher price that was no consolation. This manager should at the very least be reprimanded, written up, and given training on dealing with store mistakes. This store is around the corner from a competitor and I will be shopping there from now on. It is quite unfortunate because you have not lost one customer but a series of customers. Not only did everyone I encountered that day hear of my experience but every time someone mentions purchasing auto care needs, I share my experience with this store.
