stopped by store looking for living room furniture and sales people jumped on you as if you were on a car lot....didn't seem to have any interest in you and offered very little assistance.....couldn't answer some questions....not very knowledgeable about product...won't go there again....everybody wants your money but all you get is customer "NO SERVICE!"

I wish I would have done my homework and did research on Ashley Furniture before I bought my daughters bedroom set. I usually do and I don't know why I did not this time. What a nightmare! Delivery took way longer then promised then every piece of her bedroomset was damaged either by the factory or even by the delivery people that were supposed to set it up. Unbelievable! I took a deep breath and thought, no big deal I just call customer service and they will fix it. What customer service? They don't have customer service! I had to call over and over and over again. Never got called back. I got so frustrated. Only when I broke down on the phone because my 15 year old had just been diagnosed with cancer and I needed her furniture fixed before she went in the hospital did I get a bit of cooperation. Finally the repair guy came. But he was not able to fix two items. I was assured I would get a call to have them replaced. Two weeks later - nothing! I am going crazy! Never will I buy from them again. Its not like it was cheap either!

Beware!!! BEWARE!!! B E W A R E !!! NEVER buy from Ashley's Furniture!! We took our time looking for new dining room furniture. We had a hand me down set for over 9 yrs. We went to several stores and kept going back to Ashley's because the set was beautiful and something that fit our budget. Well, now I am so upset and disappointed about the choice we made of chosing Ashley's. We ordered a 9 piece dining room suite priced $3468.59. When the furniture was delivered the delivery guy flung the drop cloth open and rocks flew out on my brand new wood floor, he was like oopps! Did not even flinch to pick any of it up.. . I did. They were not prepared with tools to take off the cloth straps from the furniture so he asked me for scissors or a knife to cut with. As they brought in the furniture I began checking the pieces to make sure there was no damage. Oh boy, right away the arm chair had a 1/4 inch nick out of the wood, the other arm chair and 3 of the side chairs wood looked worn and the finish was not there. The buffet had a knick out of it and the top middle decorative 2ft.x .5 ft was missing from the china cabinet. That's not all the table had a 1 inch deed scrtch and looked like it had been spray painted... kinda like it was used and had been repaired before. I called the store to complain. They wanted to connect me to the technical dept. to set up a day to have the technician come out to repair my new furniture. I told them I didn't want new repaired furniture I wanted the new furniture that I paid for. Well, we set up for a new delivery date again I will be sitting at home to wait for them, again. On this 2nd delivery for a full swap out they only had 1/2 of the delivery . . .i refused the delivery and again called the Ashley store to complain the manager told me he was sorry to hear that had happened and he was not trying to pass the buck but "I" needed to call the warehouse to complain to them. I called and explained the situation and the lady than answered said the manager would have to call me back. Well, Dennis, the manager never called me back. I called him the next day and explained how displeased I was with what was going on and he was like . . . "I am not sure what happened. There are 4 of us sitting around here in the office & we can't figure out why you were only delivered some furniture". "Let me go to lunch and I will investigate the situation when I get back". Why he did not investigate the issue the day before when I called and he never called me back I will never know. A young lady called me back & she helped to set up, again... another delivery date and another day of sitting around to wait for furniture. Okay, now the 3rd time the furniture was delivered . . . one of the side chairs front leg was shorter than the other three legs by at least 1/4 inch. so, I swapped out one of the other chairs from previous delivery, the buffet and the china cabinent looked good as I was excited that we may finally have our furniture . . . WRONG the table had about a 1 foot long & deep scratch on the table top from one side to the other. I have not heard a word from ANYONE about any of these issues. I have been the one making all of the calls to them. I was told after every delivery from the drivers that I would get a courtesy survey call within the first hour of them leaving my home . . . never happened. PLEASE do yourself a favor and save yourself from all the drama and keep your money! DO NOT BUY anything from Ashley's Furniture!!

I bought a sofa and love seat that have velcrow strips that are suposed to hold the cushions in place (HA HA).After complalning to the store where I purchased them and being told to purchase more velcrow and try to fix them my self I thought I would complain to ashley furniture but there responce was the same . Iwould not recomend to any one to purchase any furniture from ashley . And Iwill be looking for some other fool to take these off my hands .

OMG!!! Well I thought that I would like the furniture, I kinda do but, it is not even made in America, the showroom furniture had a smell to it......Hickory NC store. I should have come here first.....how is this company still in business.....I have never seen soooooo many bad comments, you would think people would stop shopping ASHLEY FURNITURE and go somewhere else!!!!!

I puchased a bedroom suite from the new Ashley Homestore in Macon, GA. When the items were delivered, there was a problem with the salesperson ordering the wrong bed and also the media chest was flawed. I contacted the store manager the next week on 1/15/11 to check on the status of my order and to ensure that these items were re-ordered. The store manager assured me that the items were re-ordered. I went to Ashley Homestore on 1/28/11 to check on my order and was told by the person assisting me that the media chest had never been re-order. I talked with the store manager and he showed no concern regarding me being inconvenanced, I really felt disappointed spending $1,300.00 at a store who has a store manager with a very cold unconcerned attitude towards customers who spent there money there. Also, when I asked for the telephone number to the corporate headquarters, the store manager instructed his staff not to give it to me. I was planning on going back to purchase more furniture prior to be treated badly. But that will never happen, due to the poor example the store manager demonstrated in the presence of his staff.

It's really sad that the best customer service I received was from the delivery men, one of which only spoke broken English. Calling the store was a hassle, making the purchase was a hassle, calling customer service was more than a hassle, and getting a delivery time didn't even happen! A quote from the Ashley Furniture Store Mission Statement, "Exceed customer expectations in all that we do." I don't think anyone on this website feels that there expectations were exceeded in ANY way.

I bought last April 2010 a recliner for my Grandmother, it broke 8 months later and I have called the Puerto Rico store in Caguas and they have been rude and no interest in helping me. If this is the way they treat me DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM ASHLEY.

I WOULD NOT BUY ASHLEY FURNITURE AGAIN.NOT ONLY DID I WAIT FOR A PERIOD OF TIME,BUT THEN ON 1/23/11 AM CONTACTED THAT MY FURNITURE IS GOING TO BE DELIVERED BUT NOT AT 1:30 IN THE MORNING....

My daughter was a 3yr $9.69 an hour employee of Ashley Furniture and was fired yesterday 1-22-11. She advised her managers regarding a suspicious $40,000 out of state furniture order in which 3 different american express credit cards were being used for payment. After one of the cards was declined it was still ok'ed by the corporate office managers to process the order using the two remaining cards. The order was shipped to the address and eventually the owners of the stolen credit cards contacted the store regrding the purchase. Why fire the person who alerted the store manager???? You should be firing the District manager who made the decision to have her process the order. I imagine the little people have to take the fall for your corporate friendly decisions. If you are the minority and you are not in the LOOP then you are expendable. You cant get fairness but you can get fired quickly for somebody elses mistake!! EEOC and BBB along with the media need to be informed!!! Done deal

I wish I had read this as well before buying. I bought bedroom furniture and had delivery problems, damage to my carpets, no return calls when I called, damage to the furniture. They are the worst customer service I have ever experienced. There is zero professionalism, zero accountability. The furniture is very cheaply made.I will never buy from Ashley again and will make sure everyone I speak to knows how poorly they operate.

YOU SUCK! You do not honor your warranty, you only want to rip off customers!

LESS THAN ONE STAR AS everyone said Ashley furniture is very unprofessional and I will never purchase another product from them. I purchased two leather recliners in June of 2009 from the Orchard Park NY store, one was delivered damaged and the other was fine. Haggled to get first repairs done and got them completed. In March of 2010 the leather on the same furniture began to seperte and the color is coming off. For 8 months I have been calling and getting no where with them. A technician came to my house and stated tha it was a defect in the chair and that they would fix it. Now the line is discontinued and Ashley is suddenly saying its not a defect. Stay away from them. I have an attorney and am filing suit. Another quality product made in the USA.

I would never purchase another Ashley product. It has been one of the worst experiences of my life. Your customer service (New Jersey) leaves a lot to be desired. And as far as purchasing the warranty, now I know why I would never be suckered into doing that again! I realize it is not Thomasville or Ethan Allen, but I was hoping for a better experience. The quality of the furniture is awful!

watching my girlfriend cry over a horrible experiance with ashley furniture has me thinking of all sorts of ways to remedy the situation, the initial purchase was a simple one, bedroom suit, double automan (with trays on reverse side of cushions) and a free t.v. given as a gift for making the 4500.00 purchase? the delivery came with a bang! the weak delivery person dropped his end of the dresser, breaking off one foot, the automan was not the one on the floor picked out and purchased, the box spring had two tears on top cover, the t.v. took two weeks to be delivered, the box spring was delivered also but the automan has not been, and the store manager told us that the the one on the floor had the wrong tag? and if we want that particular one it will be an additional amount of money, nobody returns calls warehouse blames sales person nobody cares and the damaged dresser hasnt been replaced, this experiance has changed the way i will be making furniture purchases, i will require complete order to be delivered before making payment, and i doubt i will have any luck getting the store to do business with me, so maybe i will stand outside ashleys and inform all those who are unaware of the risks involved and the potential for a bad relationship that is most likely awaiting them. try a small town store, or better yet, an estate sale? thanks for listening. good luck!

theres not a better place to stay clear of. save yourself alot of undue missery! go to a garage sale,

Driving over to Ashley in Grand Forks, ND to light up the manager for being an aZZ to my girlfriend on the phone. This company sux.

they suck i have the exact same problem "James" does!! the warranty co will only give me 400 bucks on my 3,000 dollar couch that is all jacked up no one will help me and they have screwed me over!

I bought 2 Love Seats from Ashley in Burbank CA and now advise anyone looking at their furniture to STAY AWAY. Gave them a check for the entire amount (my mistake) because I was told by the sleazy salesman it was 100% leather. 3 days after delivery I suddenly could not BREATHE. Went back to the store, asked what the love seats consisted of and was told by the same sleazy salesman it is leather mixed with polyurethane (bad for asthmatics) and asked for a refund or exchange for something NOT containing polyurethane. The MANAGER (ARMEN) told me he would call the next day, had to talk to his District Manager, have not heard from him since. They lie, they cheat and Customer Service is NON-EXISTENT. Be smart people.......NEVER by anything from ASHLEY.

Exactly WHERE is your Corporate Office????? Do you even HAVE one???????
