We had the BEST experience. George McCrokle @ the Grapevine, TX location was our salesman. He was the best. No pressure, showed us everything. WE REALLY FEEL LIKE WE GOT THE BEST DEAL EVER
Nothing good to say about Ashley Furniture. Terrible customer service. I have never seen anything like it. I have been ripped off plenty of times but never like this. They service department who i have spoken to 4 times is calling me back after lunch. That was a month ago. Now the gentlement told me today the person that is handling my "case" was just so busy but he assured me she would get back to me within a week. WOW. Horrible company and anyone that is a part of it should be ashamed.
We made the mistake of thinking we were buying furniture only to discover that these people put us on a program of rent to buy. Needless to say after paying more than $5500.00 on a queen bed, dresser and mirror and not able to make $300 payments for three months. We made partial $100 payments and were told my D.M. that he would work with us. I called him to let him know that I had lost my job and that my husband had had 4 eye surgeries and his schedule had been cut down. Do you know what the sorry man had to say? Well we're coming to pick up the furniture as we are in our rights to do so and you won't have to worry about paying us any more. Needless to say I looked through my paperwork and there truly isn't anything to do about this as we have no sort of insurance with this program that they put us on and they couldn't care less as they will just turn around and make fools of someone else and make $10,000 for $1800 worth of furniture. Our program would end in March after having paid more than $7500!!! I would seriously advise anyone against buying from them. We too didn't get our bed for almost three months and still paid them for it. These people are rip off's! We may have lost all of this money and a few tears but we will tell all of our friends and family about this experience and they too will never buy from them.
I bought a set of Harrington Sofa furniture today at your store in Kendall Florida. I decided to pick it up myself. And the warehouse was in Tamarac, which is 45 miles away. Once I got there I showed the paper work to the warehouse attendants and the came out with a set of sofa. I asked him, if they where the correct ones, they say, "Yes ma'am, they are". I couldn't notice from right to wrong 'cause they were all rapped. When I opened at home I realized they gave me one wrong side. I immediately called the store and spoke to a lady who claimed to be the Store Manager. She said to me: "That happens, go back to the warehouse and change it". Just like that...... I told her: Why should I go back and drive 45 miles again when it's has been your company mistake? , She said again.... "IT HAPPENS". SO,I ASK YOU.... WHY SHOULD I HAVE TO DRIVE BACK 45 MILES TO GET THE CORRECT ITEM?.... I DID MY PART. YOU ARE ACCOUNTABLE AND RESPONSIBLE OF YOUR MISTAKE AND GRANT ME A PICK UP AND DELIVERY OF MY FURNITURE.
I ordered my furniture towards the end of October. I was told that it would take a MONTH for the couch to be delivered because they only deliver on certain days and we needed the chaise to be on the opposite end of the couch. The lady that sold us the furniture said that b/c the delivery date fell on Thanksgiving and they don't deliver that day, that since we spent over 4,000 dollars in their store, they would talk to someone and have it delivered on Wednesday, November 23rd. We were planning on having friends over for Thanksgiving and expected to have a couch for our guests to sit on. We get a call a few days before delivery saying that the delivery date is being pushed back to Friday, the 25th. So our guests had to sit on bean bag chairs. I was upset, but I got over it. On the day of delivery we receive a call saying that the sofa part of our sectional is now all of the sudden "not available for delivery". The woman did not want to explain why this was, but my husband demanded a reason. Basically, they BROKE the sofa part and now it is going to take an entire MONTH for it to become available for delivery. It is scheduled to deliver on December, 22nd. This is ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE! It will have taken 2 MONTHS for us to receive our leather sectional. Of course we complained to the lady that called us and all she would do was send us a 100 dollar gift card. After spending over 4,000 dollars in the store, that is like a SLAP IN THE FACE!!! I don't care if I have to call the corporate office every single day, we WILL be compensated for the extreme inconvenience this has caused us. Because our furniture was being handled by MORONS, we now have to suffer with half of a couch!
I put 1 star because so far the service at the store was fair. On Wed I told the salesman that I didn't need the furniture right now and that I was waiting until they had a better deal. Stupid me, believed him when he said this promotion was as good as it was going to be. Tomorrow is Black Friday & I see they are having a huge sale. Luckily, I've used their credit system, so they don't have my money. I'm wondering what the cancellation policy is? I see on the back of the sales receipt that orders can't be cancelled once placed. I can't believe they are allowed to get away with this. I've had furniture placed in my home before by other furniture stores & they came & picked it up because I wasn't satisfied. All of these posts have me worried! I'm certainly glad I used their credit plan instead of writing a check.
We should all get together and file a claim.i purchased furniture. The sales lady was super nice. Told me I could have my furniture by Thanksgiving. No furniture yet! Called the store and even offered to take the floor sample. No because Black Friday is their highest selling day and they can't afford to lose that much money. I went ahead and waited because they told me that the sale is final. I got a call on yesterday saying they can set up delivery for Friday. I said lets do so. Can't set it up until tomorrow (then why are you calling me today). I told them I'm going to try to pick it up. They never called me to set up delivery even when they seen I hadn't picked it up. Then they tell me they can't deliver until Saturday. I called manager and they told me that I shouldn't have said that I will come and get it and I can either take Saturday or whenever they're available. They don't care about you once they get your money, they're on to the next DUMBY. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! I wish I had looked here sooner. I'm filing a lawsuit for pain and suffering.
i had problems with ashleys furniture from the get go!! I decided to go back because i had a card with them and wanted to get a t.v. for my mother for christmas. well i should have known better then to go back but i figured there was no way they could mess up an order for 1 t.v. I place my order on a thursday and they call me on a saturday to pick of the tv from the store which i thought seemed odd since everything goes to the warehouse. i go to the store, pick up the tv and to my surprise when i open the box, i realized they tried selling me a used item. There are no screws to place the stand together, there is no remote to the tv, and no cord to plug the tv in. i told them i wanted a new tv so they tell me they will place the new order that same day which was saturday. I called yesterday which was monday and today, still no one can tell me if my order has been placed. they claim they can not see tv orders and that only managers can see that, well to my surprise the manager was out picking up his kids from school and they will have him call me back. so no one knows if my order has even been placed. i tried to get a hold of someone to complain on them, well i can only call the corporate office in lubbock texas which is the store i ordered from. obviously i cant complain on the mangagers to the managers so what am i suppose to do next...sooooooooo frustrated with this crappy company!!
I'm filing a complaint against Ashley Furniture. On 10/19/11, I purchased items for my living room. The sales associate who assisted me was great. However, within my rights and contractual time frame, I canceled my order. I was informed it would take 10-14 BUSINESS DAYS for my debit card to be credited back. That would have been between 11/4/11-11/10/11 for my credit to be posted back to my account. 6 phones calls, 1 nasty email and 20 BUSINESS DAYS LATER I finally got my credit. That is not good business practice. If my contract and customer service tell me 10-14 business days, then that's what I expect. Lastly, after 6 phone calls and the email, I still haven't heard ANYTHING from ANYONE in this organization to apologize. Never again Ashley. You'll never see another dime of my money.
BUYERS BEWARE OF ASHLEY FURNITURE, THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU...JUST YOUR MONEY. READ BELOW Hello Eric, Thank you for taking time yesterday to speak with me. I have had nightmares over our frustration, and we have not been able to finish our home, because we do not STILL have all our furniture! We were supposed to be out of town today, but we stayed home - WE NEED OUR DESK NOW PLEASE!! We will call you in awhile….if we do not hear from you this morning…. We were warned by two of your past customers NOT to go to Ashley Furniture, due to delivery problems….customer service, etc….but we decided to give Ashley’s a chance – we found 12 pieces of merchandise we like, and Deon and you were nice to work with. We have purchased $6,035.82 with your store since 9/10/2011. When we made our first purchase (9/10/11) for $3,910.88 we were told we would receive our furniture on September 23, 2011 – we returned to the store on the next day, and purchased a chest for $698.63 which was added to our first delivery order – still to be delivered September 23rd. We returned once again on 9/17/2011and purchased night stands (2) and a media chest for $1,426.31. We said we would pick these 3 items up, because we needed them, and we were told an additional delivery charge would be charged and we couldn’t receive them by the 23rd. We went to the warehouse on September 18, 2011 to pick up one night stand (because they would not have both in) and the media center. We opened the boxes, and all seemed good. Once we got home and went to put the feet on the media stand we noticed the bottom finish plate is caved in…pushed in…..we received our delivery on the 23rd – all seemed good, except the main desk was cracked in the center, so we did not accept it – we were offered to have a tech come to repair the desk – we refused the desk – really??? We PAID for NEW FURNITURE! We were told at that time, we would be called for a replacement delivery – but it would take 72 HOURS to process and they would call to set up another delivery date.……..we were told Ashley’s would Help us out (by Deon) and to make things better, they would bring us our 2nd night stand when they brought our new desk.… We decided to go to the warehouse to get our 2nd night stand on Sunday, September 25th so we could finish the bedroom. The customer service argued with Joe for quite some time, that he had already picked it up on the 18th! It took awhile and a lot of verbal frustration, but we got the nightstand – to get it home, and the bottom finish board ….which again was noticed when we put the feet on it. Now we have everything except the desk – two items are damaged, but the house is getting there! No one called after 72 hours, so Joe called Ashley’s store to speak to Deon – Deon is off till Thursday and the Manager was in a meeting – they will call us back – and suggested he call customer service – so he did and had to leave a message – they would call him back. At 5:00 pm – still no return call from ANYONE! Joe called the store AGAIN, and the Manager was with a customer (we are a customer too) – soooo Joe called customer service again – they answered – acted like they could care less, and someone would call to schedule a delivery – what happened to 72 HOURS????? It is now the 28th -5 DAYS!!! In FRUSTRATION – Joe called the store again and held until the night manager took his call! He told us we could have the desk delivered to the store so we could pick it up on Friday – and not have to be home waiting, as Joe had an appointment Friday morning. Thursday the 29th customer service called and told Joe they would be at our house between 8 – 12 – which Joe then said no, it is suppose to be delivered to the store – she said we don’t do that – however she then called the store, called Joe back and said – you are right – we are delivering to the store on Friday – it will be there by 2:00 - - - - -That’s when I called you Eric – where the HELL is our desk???? We would like our desk please – we would like it today or tomorrow– but we really need it! Ashley’s can then deliver another night stand and media center later if they don’t have it – but we need these delivered – the desk put together (with the top part that is here) – and with the damages and long wait times we want them delivered so we can inspect the entire item in their presence – WE REALLY NEED YOUR HELP! We are having a large function next weekend, and our office is still in boxes – we feel Ashley owes us at least our delivery fees and then some, for all this frustration – We are at the point, we have considered returning everything and forget it – we were very excited about these purchases, and the customer service has ruined it! How sad!
This is an addition to my last post. Ashley furniture called and said that they would refund the money for the sectional I bought 09/02/11. They came to my house today with refund for the couch and the extended warrarty. They also had a release of liability for me to sign which I did. GUESS WHAT! I took the check to the bank! the check is no good!. I received a Telephone call from Bob Trijullo he told me that I cannot take the check to the bank that it is drawn on I have to go the the branch in Portland Or. I live in california, and this is a first to me that a local bank that the check is drawn on cannot cash a check. the lies and deceit and games are to much to imagine. I have called attorney now. I guess they would also like to pay my attorney fees, punitive damages and court costs.
ashley furniture sucks the 5 year warranty is a rip off 5 sofas later still notright i would not recommend any body to buy anything from this company all they do is pass the buck to someone else they jerked us off for 1 year and then told us our warranty expired what a scam then i contacted the guardsman company the told us our claim does not meet their standarda are you fucking kidding me what a bunch of assholes this company should be put out of buisness after this i will be calling the bbb ashely furniture sucks!!!
I purchased a sectional livingroom set on 09/02/11, it was delivered on 09/17/10. After about a month I noticed that the cushion on the sofa was indented and sagging I called the customer service line and they said they would send a replacement? iwaited 3 weeks to receive a form package. Then called customer service today to infor that the foam was here. they stated they cannot get someone here unitl 12/02/11. I et them know that that was no agreeable considering that the sofa is only 2 months old and now the same problem is happening with the love seat. I was told by customer service to fix this problem myself if i did not want to wait. I spenT $3000.00 in the ashley store in colton Ca. I then asked to speak to a Manager who then said "why are you yelling at me"? when I had not raised my voice. I was then told that the store I bought my furniture from was privately owned. I then called the store and they told me that they are owned by the corporation. This has turned into a complete run around. They are sending a tech to my home tomarrow but said that they will need to order a part? I guess they know this in advance. In looking at the condition of the new furniture sitting in my home I can only imagine what it will look like in a year. I just really want my money back. Ashley Furniture is a rip off. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY. THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT AT ALL.
I have bought 2 sets of furniture from Ashley one 5 years ago a sofa and it is still in great condition it was even one of the "special" sale items $399 and it is great! I recentley bought my 2nd set and bought a whole living room set couch, loveseat and recliner set it is so nice looking and comfy I am so pleased with my purchase!!
Well I was about to become a Ashley Furniture customer until I had some many problems with their websites and all of the negative feedback I have read. Sorry Ashley Furniture.......I have enough headaches without having to deal with you too! Good lck on pleasing your customers!
I AM WRITING ON THE BEHALF OF MY MOTHER, SHE PURCHASE A LEATHER SOFA AND CHAIR IN JULY 2010 FROM THE ASHLEY IN MOBILE, AL. THE FURNITURE HAS FADED TWICE AND HAD TO BE RECOVERED (1) SHE PAID $3000 FOR A SOFA THAT WAS SOLD AS 100% LEATHER ALL A ROUND , BUT DEALING WITH A UNFAITHFUL SALE MAN AND A RUDE MANAGER SHE HAD TO ROLL THE BALL HERSELF TO GET HER FURNITURE REPLACE BY THE CORPORATE OFFICE. AFTER ALL SHE HAD GONE THROUGH THE STORE MANAGER REFUSED TO REMOVED THE DAMAGED FURNITURE AND TO DELIVER THE NEW SELECT, WHICH SHE HAD PAID FOR THE FIRST TO BE DELIVERED.REALLY PEOPLE IS THIS GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE OR WHAT???? SHAME, SHAME ,SHAME
We bought a sofa & chair from Ashley Furniture in Glendale, AZ in July, 2011. It was almost a month before it was delivered with multiple defects. I promptly called the store the day of delivery and they referred me to customer service. The person I talked with was Linda. I told her I wanted the furniture picked up and a refund of our money. She promised they would send someone out to repair the furniture and if they couldn't, they would give us a refund. They fixed some of the defects and have been stringing us along for 3 months now, sending one repairman after another and the sofa still is not fixed. We had an independent repairman out and he said we should have received a refund of our money because the problems we have cannot be fixed. I've talked to the store manager, 2 people who claim to be customer service managers and they say it's been too long to receive a refund (who's fault is that?) They can't fix the furniture. They won't refund our money. They even came out and took pictures and are now saying there is nothing wrong with the furniture. We also paid for a 5 year warranty which is just a way to rip cutomers off for more money. I have gone round and round with these people. I wish I had never set foot in Ashley's homestore. I actually feel sick from all the stress of dealing with these crooks. Please, please, save yourself from a nightmare and don't go near this store.
The worst experience ever making a purchase at Ashley Furniture. I order a Queeen size split box set and they delivered only one. I called the store and went there and they said by mistake other half wasn't ordered. Manager (Charles) doesn't care about the customers at Fremont Ashley. He never calls back his customers to update on anything, customers has to call him back for all the updates and he always busy to take the calls. He promised to call back and have not heard yet from him. So, basically I am without a bed and don't know when they will be delivery the other one.
i wish i would have read all of these comments before i went and bought a dining room set, because 99% of these comments are spot on, i was promised my table and chairs in 7 days and now its been three weeks and i call the store where i bought it from and they were just cocky and rude about it, even though they cashed the check write away, they wouldnt give me a straight answer on when i could get it or when it was going to be in, i will NEVER buy anything from Ashley and like the hundreds of other people on these comments i strongly suggest you dont either!!
There should be a rating option less than zero, lower than the dirt you walk on! I telephoned the Ashley store in Matthews, NC on Wednesday November16,2011. I spoke to sales manager named Mike. He was given items named in the pre black Friday sale for which I wanted, checked for availability, confirmed the availability. When asking about delivery he said delivery for next day was possible, quoted the cost, said that for an additional $25.00 more he could get it delivered TODAY between 4 and 9 pm if I placed order by 3pm TODAY. (Awesome!I thought.) I tell him I'll likely call back,to place a credit card order once I phone my Husband at work. (I was at this time, informed by my husband that a coworker just recently bought from them, had donated their furniture,it had been picked up by donation pickup the day before their scheduled delivery from Ashley's. Ashley's called on delivery day ,saying his furniture would not be delivered for almost 2 more weeks. In the end it was two and a half more weeks.) My husband said "You might not want to mess with people like that". Turns out he was SO,SO right!! I asked Mike on the phone when I called back if the items I wanted are on the display floor to view and he said they were.I stated that my husband prefers I look at items in person to ensure I don't buy sight unseen junk, and we'll maybe come look at the sale items we wanted. I went to the store on Friday, November 18,2011 (which is about a 45 minute drive). I LOVED the furniture, it was inexpensive, seemed to be of excellent quality for the price,I was impressed and Yes...excited about my purchase.I was again assured my delivery would be tomorrow (which is now going to be Saturday,November 19,2011) I am in another store about 8:30 pm shopping for couch throws and mattress covers for my new furniture arriving (PROSPECTIVELY)tomorrow, when I receive a call from Mike. He's saying there was some sort of mistake about zip codes, they only deliver on Wednesday to my zipcode.(which would be November 23) He was informed then that I would be out of town from Tuesday, November 22 until Sunday, November 27. I told him that if he could not get the furniture in my home by that Monday (November 21) he would likely lose the $1,800.00 prepaid sale he'd just made. He assured me he'd try his best, make some calls see what he could do.... The next morning at 11 AM I called the store and being told Mike was on a conference call,I'll have him call you back asap,I moved on. Upon immediately calling Scott at customer care...I asked if he was going to have my delivery made as promised originaly, or not? NOPE!! Was a mistake on their part, but policy is this & this ... wouldn't budge. I had removed my furnishings 13 days ago at this point and burned it(Due to a bed bug issue... from used furniture bought at a Habitat For Humanity thrift store a few months ago). I'm sitting on PVC lawn furniture, sleeping on air mattresses for 13 nights, all I want is furnishings for my family to be comfortable when returning home from our trip, after having ridden our home of bedbugs, and getting our Christmas tree up one we have furniture again. When I explained to him the planned trip, the lack of furniture and why, still he's not bending from policy. How would you feel if this was your family?,I asked. I also informed him of my husbands coworker's bad experience and how I'd been warned but chanced it anyway as a first time customer, feeling confident all would be fine, but I was wrong. I was disappointed AND angry. At first I was calm and pleading for my delivery.Someone, somewhere has the ability to decide and just say ...so what? I want her furniture there today...whatever it takes!! By conversation's end I was fighting tears and yelling at him about how sorry they are to do folks like that. While I was on the phone with Scott at customer care,my husband was using the cell phone, calling the credit card company stopping the $1,800.00 + payment,He was not at all happy . Tonight...Saturday,December 3,2011 I called the store just before 9 PM responding to a message on my machine from them. The message stated they had my items in stock for immediate delivery, possibility thatI was cancelling order please confirm via callback. The nerve of them to call me!!!!Remotely thinking I want anything from them,I mean...REALLY??? In long and short, Scott (Yep,the same Scott from customer care ) was put on the phone after I asked for Mike, and the lady on the phone had said he's moved on to better things,is no longer our sales manager, asked if I'd like to speak someone else. Scott was informed how I felt it was sorry that AT THIS POINT I HAVE NO FURNITURE,NO THANKS TO THEM,and I sure do hope they didn't fire Mike who was trying to treat people right.(I had told Mike why I was purchasing cheap priced furniture) NO!!I DON'T WANT YOUR FURNITURE regardless of quality or price. NOT EVEN IF YOU GAVE IT TO ME !! If Ashley can't next day deliver ,they shouldn't advertise OR promise it,as they do both I have made another purchase with another company (Value City Furniture,Charlotte NC). I looked online, did an over the phone purchase via my credit card. I missed immediate delivery as I placed my order late evening on Friday Dcember 2,2011. My delivery will (AGAIN) be Wednesday. (They don't deliver on Sun. and Mon., had nothing to do with zipcode I live in. They were booked full for the Sat. and Tues. prior to my Wednesday delivery set up) They are delivering ASAP per staff capabilities etc.,and if only one of my 2 mattress sets is available that day it will be delivered with the sofa and loveseat. (They may be able to get one from another store location, maybe not) Delivery of the second set will be at no extra charge on a separate date, once it's in stock within the next seven days. I spoke with a salesman named Arnold at Valu City he was very accommodating and apologetic that Ashley treated me so poorly. After spending 15 minutes on the phone with a stranger they never met, they got my $1,955.00,and time will tell if they earned it by giving me their word and sticking to it. If so they definately have earned my respect and future business. This is how you should treat customers...their furniture May be of lesser quality, cost of delvery higher but if they do me right I'll shop there again if I need to,but NEVER will I return to Ashley Furniture.(And as so many... I never saw these reviews until after the process when I wanted to further my complaints to or with corporate management.
