SHOPPER BEWARE!!! My girlfriend and I went in to Ashley Furniture in Burbank to look for a living room set. A saleswoman named Sue greeted us and asked us if we'd like to qualify for a 12 month no interest financing promotion. We applied for the line of credit at a kiosk and while we were reading the terms of the credit card, Sue came behind my girlfriend and pressed "next" several times not allowing us to read the terms of the agreement. She opened a line of credit for my girlfriend without our permission! I kept asking for her to supply us with documentation about this 12 month promotion and neither her or the store manager could do so. So, we politely said "no thanks" and left. 3 days later we have thousands of dollars worth of furniture on the way to house that we didn't buy! Sue not only opened a line of credit without our permission but she also bought thousands of dollars worth of furniture with it. BUYER BEWARE!!!! ASHLEY FRAUDITURE!
Awful service!! I received furniture from Ashleys before and was impressed with their promptness. I recently ordered a leather recliner as a Christmas gift at the beginning of December from the Ashley Furniture Store in Geneva, NY. The bill was paid in advance. They specifically told me WHEN asked if it would be here in time for Christmas and they said yes it would be. I waited for a phone call, never heard from them. I had to call them repeatedly and hound them in regards to the chair. Each time I called they kept saying it will be here for Christmas it is not here yet. We will call you. 4 days before Chrsitmas I stopped by the store and they said it will not be here until after Christmas. I called them the Tuesday 12/17/11. They still said the chair has not arrived yet, it should be here today so we will call you tomorrow. Wednesday came and they called to set up delivery. They said they could deliver it Wednesday or Thursday. When I told them it couldnt be til 4pm. They stated to me Well we cant do that we will have to deliver on Saturday the 30th. I said you dont have any evening hours for delivery? They said well we do but are unable to do so we are busy. I then asked for a gift card for the inconvenicne it was for me and my family. They said we are unable to do that. I am very DISAPPOINTED with the service that I received. I am no longer doing business with this company again. So if anyone is interested in their store, I suggest you look at other options.
I watch The View on my computer and the commercial Ashley runs is the WORST! I have to turn the sound off when it comes on as it makes me feel actually ill. It has been running for months and it is time for something new. It does not make anyone want to buy furniture at this store. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE take if off!!!
Wish I would have read the reviews....I bought a kitchen table set March 31st of this year...and it is junk!! The seats are ripping and PAINT yes I said paint is flaking off the seats onto our clothes! My husband and i have been dealing w the store and the so called amazing accidental insurance they sold us for 3 months now. I didnt know that a $1000 kitchen set had a 5 month reliability. The customer service is horrible and I hope this company and all its stores go out of buisness.
Like the others reviews, our furniture was awful. We bought a service policy, but did not use it. We were told that we would get the money back if it was not used. We were told that a reminder would come in the mail, but it did not. So, we never got the refund. I called Ashley furniture and they said that they would send it to us, but they never did. I wish I had read reviews about Ashley Furniture. I spent over $12,000 with them to furnish my new home ( condo ) and my expereince after the initial sale has horrific. The saleperson was fabulous. My wife and I really felt good about our purchases. well when the delivery day came, the delivery guys informed me that 2 pieces of furniture were backordered when we told that all of the furniture was in. The leaf in the dinning table was damaged and they immediately took that back. While assembling the master bedroom bed, the headboard fell hit one of the movers and cracked the headboard in 2 places. Also we received 2 left feet for the footboard. so far it has been 2 and 1/2 weeks since the delivery and I called the store today and now they say the furniture will in the warehouse on wednesday and if it is I can't get a delivery until early January. As far as the damaged furniture, I have had to call them to get a status update with no cooperation at all from them. they won't call you back, like the guy says in an earlier review. I have become so angry and outraged that a company can provide such poor customer service and evidently the company must condone this type behavior. I don't know how they stay in business. I will persue my issue until it I am satisfied. I will give it about another week and then I will call the State's Attorney General office- consumer affairs. I have dealt with them before and they seem to want to help. I am also going to call the coorporate office in Wisconsin to see How I fair there. I would not recommend this furniture store to anyone and will never buy from them again. I WILL GET SATISFACTION.
I will be posting my HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH ASHLEY in the future. I do wish I had read these posts before, because no matter how much I loved the furniture, I would have not bought it from them. I think after scanning 5 pages of comments, we probably do qualify for some form of lawsuit. If anyone does this, count me in. Also, to the lady who said we should create an Ashley Experience fb page.....DO IT. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with.
I PURCHASED MY LIVING ROOM SET BY ASHLEY FURNITURE AND I WISH I NEVER DID. THEY ARE SINKING, ARM RESTS ARE ALWAYS POPPING IN, COUCHES WERE MADE SO POORLY I CANNOT BELIEVE HOW THEY ARE SO NICE WHEN THEY ARE TAKING YOUR MONEY I GUESS BECAUSE THE SALES PEOPLE MAKE NO MONEY AND DEPEND ON THEIR SALES, BUT AS SOON AS I COMPLAINED THEY COULD CARE LESS. I WILL NEVER BUT FROM ASHLEY AGAIN AND WILL TELL ALL MY FRIENDS NOT TO EITHER. VERY DISSATISFIED WISH I COULD PUT 0 STARS INSTEAD OF ONE. AWFUL.MONEY HUNGRY LOUSY CUSTOMER SERVICE, POOR QUALITY FURNITURE.

We are contemplating 2 more bedroom sets and a new living room set with entertainment centre ... NOT FROM ASHLEYS!!!! THEY SUCK!! SUCK!!! SUCK!!!
I would give them negative stars if I could. Bought a bedroom and livingroom set from Ashley. We are now waiting for the 5th chest to be delivered for our bedroom set. It seems that they forgot how to manufacture the furniture. In the beginning it was all 'we're sorry, we'll get right on that, we'll get you a new piece', blah, blah, blah. Couldn't do enough to correct the issue. Well after one after another of the same piece being defective or damaged over and over now they are nasty, trying to convince me to take a 20% discount and so on. If I wanted second hand furniture or damaged furniture I would have gone to the Salvation Army (where I probably would have gotten better quality) or to an outlet store that sold floor models or damaged goods (Still probably would have gotten better quality). Now I am waiting for chest number five. If this one is damaged they can take all their garbage furniture back and I will promptly take my business elsewhere. I would highly NOT recommend this furniture.
Piss poor job all together, I will NEVER do business with them again and don't recommend them at all, stay the hell away from this pathetic company, they have some good employees but their managers and sales people completely SUCK! Still waiting on stuff to deliver, turns out that we won't be able to get my daughter's desk and chair so we're screwed and we've been working with them for about 14 months to make sure we get everything for our new house, not to mention they've broken a table while setting it up. Don't have enough energy to type anymore, they just SUCK
went to store in mcallen tx and spend 3 hrs deciding what to get for my xmas gift for my mother, pik out a living room set .. had the worst sales lady and she was not able to sell me a few items CASH thats very bad when u go to a furnture store and cant buy anything cash ................i finally got thru and still havnt gotten my right furnture ,, had alot of bad exp with that store or compnay period and delevery promise dates never got here all reshedule and when i did get items i got trash sofa were demage front wood facing falling off tears on seats and arm reat have alot of sag and over all sofa is NOT what i saw in showroom and love seat had burn iron burns and tears and leather recliners are not wrking that goes for electral once and tears in leather and not wat u see in show room ..... customers service has no cutomers ethic .... after i call them when items were drop off customer service wanted to send a TECH to sew up the tears and fix up the wood faceing .. wtf i was better of going to local flea market and buy my living room for under 100 $ rather then spending a few thousaands .. oh get this i still getting bill for the living room set but i dont have it that was in thanksgiving week .. were dec 10 nothing yet just got told the iotems wont be drop off this week thats b.s . //////////////////////////// as for now i am cancalling order .........oh the first drop off i got trash furniture wood facing falling off trears in 899.99 sofas and 699.99 love seats 1200.00 recliners .... all were torn up and stiching were all falling apart ....iron burns in fabric..... what are they sellling after all
We went in to buy a tempurpedic mattress. we are both disabled and needed the flexibility of memory foam. we did not qualify for the amount needed to buy the mattress at no interest - or so we thought. we then looked at the Ashley memory foam mattress and it was actually more comfortable (in the store). Since tempurpedic has a 30 day guarantee it was another reason we wanted that particular brand. We were hesitant to buy the Ashley mattress but the salesman, Michael, told us we would be able to return it for a different one if we didn't like it after three days. BECAUSE HE TOLD US THIS, WE PURCHASED THEIR MATTRESS, otherwise we would not have taken the chance. Being disabled, we need to be able to sleep without pain. The mattress was delivered and we tried it. It was very uncomfortable for me. My boyfriend felt great. We were going to try to get twin beds but when I went to the store they told me under no circumstances would we be able to exchange the mattress, regardless of what the salesman told us. I almost cried in the store. I ended up having to buy a foam pad to put on my side of the bed. It turns out, they also did approve us for the amount of the Tempurpedic bed but we did not know this until after the mattress had been delivered. We were scammed in my opinion. They wanted to sell their mattress over the tempurpedic, it was probably a better commission. At the time we were also trying to buy two rocker-recliners but could not afford them but planned on returning to the same salesman as soon as possible, our sofa is breaking, the back is falling off. We will not return to that store. Buyer beware, we should have not rushed into the purchase, but we were desperate. Our current bed was a SleepNumber and it wouldn't stay inflated.
I ordered furniture from them and the first time it was delivered it was scratched and the drawls on the storage bed would not shut flush to the bed. I called they sent out a tech who could not it, they ordered me a new foot board. When it came in the drawls still do not shut. I'm still dealing with the issue. There customer sevices department is not so friendly. I will never buy furniture from them again.
got the run around and many lies but god bless the workers there just doing there jobie job lol i have to laugh because they have made this pretty girl say ugly words.all i have to say is bad experience with ashly furn in Lubbock Texas still waiting 6 weeks in no furniture yet, to bad they cant deliver next day like the home own business stay in your own home town and shop .I hope its all in new condition and no F well miss ups
I bought a set of mattresses about 2 1/2 years ago. Pillow top is lifting from coils. I have been told the 10 year warranty is void, because technician reported a stain, which is not there. I have asked the manager to go out to my house to see if there is a stain, and was told they cannot accomodate that request. Policies are ridiculous, there is no such thing as customer satisfaction with this company. It seems that the only way they will honor a warranty is if you do not use the mattress or any piece of furniture you have purchased. I have spent close to $10,000 furnishing my new home with Ashley, and if I could I would return every piece.
Looks like Ashley Furniture has many, many unhappy customers!! I just wanted to be a customer, but I guess they don't want me :( I went to look at their furniture and found it to be way overpriced for the quality. Black Friday weekend offered 25% off so I went to get prices and wanted to take my husband back for his approval before making a $4,500 purchase. Well, I've been sick ever since Thanksgiving and didn't get back to the store. I have heard furniture is one thing that has a tremendous markup on it, so I called to ask if I could get a Manager's override to give me the sale price and they said "No!!". Well, that's the last time I set foot in an Ashley Furniture Store. My neighbor had told me they were way overpriced, but they don't budge on the price. It's not like I wanted to come spread the flu in their store just for the sale day, but I guess I should have!!
I Purchased funiture on black Friday and delivery date was set for Friday, Dec 2, 2011. I was told I would be either assigned a 8:30am-12:30pm time slot or a 12;30pm-4:30am time slot (not the whole day). The Drama Begins: The Store called me on Thursday and said my paper work had been filled out wrong and I needed to return to the store and fill out the credit application again. I told them to find the initial paper work or cancel the order. Another Representative calls to confirm I have a 8:30am-12:30pm time slot. I ask could the driver call me a half an hour before his arrival. I was told absolutely not and if I was not there at time of delivery I would have to pay another deliver charged. I receive a call from the supervisor of trucking company about 11:00am-truck broke down delivery should be there by 2:00pm. Than driver calls at 3:00pm say time of arrival 4:30pm. Once they arrived they were rushing, heard them tell dispatcher I was the first drop off. They problems getting box spring up my stairs said they needed to return box springs and to purchase a more expensive on that came in two parts. They left the box springs outside and my husband and sons brought them up our steps.My sister in-law and I spent over 12,000 on bedroom furniture and this is the type of customer service I get. I asked for them to remove the delivery charge and store Manager, Hector at Fairfield, NJ store said he could not that things happen and his driver's still had to be paid. This experience has been a nightmare and just think I was going back in the spring to get living room furniture. NOT!!
First of all I actually am very pleased with my bedroom set (although my husband did have to straighten a few drawers to get them to close properly). They must pay their crew by the piece instead of by the hour, because you could tell it was very hurriedly put together. My MAIN complaint is the DELIVERY. I was 6 months pregnant when we purchased the furniture and we were told we'd have it in a month (A little long to wait, but we weren't in a hurry).. FYI.. It arrived 2 months later. They call and tell me my order is ready and tell me what time and day they are going to deliver (I don't get a choice). I think all my furniture is going to be coming so we went ahead and donated our bedroom set to Goodwill The very morning we are to be getting our new set. Imagine my surprise when only our Media Armoire arrived... One piece out of SEVEN!!!! No bed.. I am now eight months pregnant and have NO BED to sleep in. NO BED! I call and complain.. I was told that the rest of my order was on backorder... WHAT?!?!?!? I will have to say the lady on the phone was apologetic (what can she do? she's just a low-paid customer service rep.) I call the store and speak to the sales agent who sold us the set.. (She remembers us... probably because I was a rather round preggo lady). She actually calls the delivery center and tells them to put a priority on my bed (even is the rest of the order isn't ready for shipping). Low and behold the WHOLE set arrives 2 weeks later... Strange.. I know.. I'm not complaining. I love the furniture, but wow was their delivery ALL SCREWED UP!!
