I purchased a couch, loveseat, 2 end tables, a coffee table, another couch and a TV cabinet early Feb 2012. It is now 03/07/2012 and I still do not have my furniture. When I called after 2 weeks time had gone by, I was told all my furniture but 1 piece was in the warehouse and after the one came in I would get a call to set up delivery. I called about a week later to be told they had called and left a message (they did not). So I scheduled delivery. I was told I would get a call by Tuesday (03/06/2012) to give me the 2 hour window for delivery. NEVER GOT A CALL! So I called and of course the warehouse was closed! I called the store and was very rudely interrupted with I CALLED YOU AND LEFT A MESSAGE! REALLY!? I didn't even say my name! So when I mentioned that I hadn't told him my name he was dumbfounded and proceeded to raise his voice at me. I cannot believe how I am being treated! I just got confirmation that my furniture was delivered. Yup. All but one piece!!!! WHAT???? WHY????? BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T HAVE IT LISTED!!!!!!!!!!! I am so fed up!!!! Better business bureau here I come!!!!

This has been the biggest mistake buying furniture I have ever made. Nobody at the Store in Chattanooga knows how to do anything but lie. I have spoken with Darrell (the manager) Jay (asst manager) Brittany (office manager) and Mia the sales lady about getting my bill straightened out. I was told in the store the night I bought $3600.00 worth of furniture that it would be all on 36 months no interest. When I received my bill the payments went up $36.00 per month over the stated payment. I called and spoke with every manager at this store and all I ever got was more lies and run around. Finally 3 weeks later I get a call for Brittany. She told me that the problem was fixed and that she was sending me a letter showing this. Several days later I get a letter that shows another $218.49 additional charge. We have been told so many times that they were going to call us back and until I ask for the corporate phone number nobody cared. NOBODY! The sales lady (Mia Durham) knows well that my daughter was ready to come in and buy $4000.00 worth of furniture but after the way this store has treated us, We will never buy another thing from this store.

Like most replies it seems this company doesn't give a crap about the customers that pay to keep them in money. Of course I am stupid for going back to this company after my first experience. First experience was ordering a table set that was to have taken between 10 days and 2 weeks. It took seven weeks. I when I threatened to cancel, the only thing they could say was "restocking fee! restocking fee!"...restocking fee for something that was never sent?! This time we have ordered a couch. We got the call to pick it up - tuesday thru Saturday between 8:30am - 4:15 pm. 4:15pm???? for a warehouse? I operate a retail business everyday till 6pm. Every other furntiure store in town has pick-up til 7 or 8pm. Of course they would deliver the 10 miles for $80, but I still wouldn't be home. Well the so called manager of the warehouse is your typical redneck who could give a crap as long as he is back at the trailer for 5 o'clock supper. I called the store. Their first words were, "the warehouse is a seperate entity from our company..." - nice passing the buck! Finally spoke with someone who said they were the Sales Manager (at this point it probably was the janitor), he fed his crap to me with the assurance he would call me the next day.....well here we are a week later - um...no call. No furniture. no refund - yet! This company sucks! Pass this on.

One star is too many for this company. We ordered a bed on Dec 26 for our daughter. They called Jan 5 to say it was in and ready for delivery. Delivery as set for Jan 7th but they called the day before and the feet needed for the footboard were missing. They said needed to order them. Would only take 15 days. End of Jan we called to check status, warehouse kept telling us they couldn't do anything but wait for these feet. I finally got a hold of customer service and they reordered these feet. Said they'd be in by Feb 21. Feb 24 I called the salesman and asked if he could find out where these "feet" were. He checked around and stated they would be in by 29 Feb but actually had arrived earlier. Set a date for delivery of Mar 3rd. Bed arrived today, and guess what....still no FEET. Now the bed is partially together and was told a technician would contact us today. HAHAHAHA....finally reached Jillian in customer service and guess what, no one available to help out. I will NEVER purchase from them again and I will ensure all coworkers are aware of the poor service we've received. no only that, the drawers on this bed appears to be warped, so Monday we will deal with them coming to take this crap away. This was my daughter's first major purchase for herself and was so excited. That excitement has quickly been smothered in disappointment and frustration. Whatever happened to customer satisfaction.....

I just purchased a home in Fla and wanted to purchase a bedroom set from Ashley I live in NH and the Ashley store told me that I would have to buy from Kissimmee store but when I called the store they told me I would have to come in first so I guess that Ashley wants me to fly down to Fla at the cost of $600.00 for a plane ticket to purchase from you and then fly back when it comes in to revive it this make no sense I just purchased a home for a hell of a lot more than bedroom set and that was done electronically I could see if I was ordering it to be shipped in a day or two but we are taking 3-4 weeks for it to come in I would guess if something was going to be wrong it would be caught buy then. 6 yrs ago I had purchased a bunch of furniture from Ashley and at first was told that the furnitures had to be made after a purchase. Waited for several weeks as they stated. Then delayed a little more. Finally I get my couches. Oops! Someone forgot to remove the tag that said "floor model". I called them and complained. Was told they would take off 30 dollars. Statement come and only took off 10 bucks! I didn't get too fussy over the floor model but more concern about their business and work ethic. How they tried to pass off a floor model to me after the whole "it had to be order and made bullshit. My delima tho is this: I vowed never to go back. So but recently I went in looking for a bed set. As a last resort just decided to check out Ashley as I wasn't completely satisfied. Any how, what do you know. I found the set of my dreams there. ( honestly I do love their furniture best as I have furnished most of my house from them a long time ago) Now I'm really nervouse about getting into more stress than I need to be adding. Help!

I just purchased a living set last night at 7:00pm from the CONCORD,CA store; at 7:20pm I changed my mind and asked for my money back. I was told no one but the manager could retrieve my cash money from their safe. The manager was suppose to come in at ten the next morning and retreive my money from the safe. This did not happen because when I called at ten I was told the manager had a family emergency and that he would call me back as soon as he came in. Well it turns out there is other managers that can open the safe because my money was deposited by someone else and NOW THEY WANT ME TO WAIT TWO WEEKS FOR A REFUND CHECK FROM CORPORATE. This is outrageous and they blantly lied about that "manager" being the only person with access to the safe. They just gave me the run around until they could deposit the money into thier account. I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM ASHLEY FURNITURE. 1100 dollar lesson..,.,never shop ASHLEY furniture...I plan to copy this and blog about this incident ...there customer service in concord is a joke...they were extremely helpful when i was giving them my money but as soon as I needed a refund they started to past the buck.

Wow, I am reading everyones post and my situation is very close in nature. Terrible customer service from the whole organization and yes everyone is right, they do not care about their customers. I guess they make enough money and don't have to care according to their business practices. Long story short: I bought a matress which I had to pick up at the warehouse. I didn't like it so I borrowed a friends truck and took it back to the store. The manager said he could not accept the mattress at the store and I would have to take it back to the warehouse. I didn't have time that day to go clear to the warehouse so I took it back home. they scheduled me to pick it up a week later. then they were going to credit my accout less the restocking fee. they said this would take up to 3-5 days after they picked up the mattress. It has been 10 day and still no credit to my account. I have made many calls to the store to customer service and no help except to tell me they have processed the credit and to call my bank. I told them when I use my bank card they get paid that day or the next day. Why does it take over 10 days to get the money back into your account. I am a realtor who sells many homes. I told them I would tell all my clients to NEVER SHOP ASHLEY. "Did they care......NO.... TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I wish I had read this before my purchase....

I recently purchased a couch and dresser for my youngest son, we also bought the extended warranty and paid in cash. A week later i noticed i hadnt checked my mail and upon doing so discovered i had a coupon for 100 bucks off my purchase so i brought it into the store to get my 100 dollars refunded off my purchase. It was at this point i was met with a rude service representative who kept pointing to the coupon and telling me "it says so right on the coupon you cant combine with anything" no biggie but i asked for the manager anyways. Upon speaking with this unprofessional and judgemental piece of work I came to the conclusion that I'd rather get my money back then ever have to deal with people like that. After I expressed my displease with him, he refused to refund my money even though i hadn't recieved my furniture yet and for whatever reason kept pointing at my coupon and basically telling me "cant you read". To make things worse it was still over a week away from my delivery date and i no longer wanted anything to do with this sorry excuse for a company. In my time in the military and my time as a young adult I have never come out of a disagreement where somebody made me feel as belittled as this companies representatives made me feel. BUYERS BEWARE this company is very unprofessional and to be honest the quality isnt worth the price we pay.

I will never deal with this company again!! We bought a couch and recliner in Orlando, Fl. to be delivered today between 1 and 5 pm. It is now 6:30 and still no delivery!! I had to make 4 calls to the store to FINALLY get in touch with a manager.....They kept putting me on hold and would not answer. My suggestion is to shop someplace other than here!! HORRIBLE customer service!!! ZERO STARS!!!!

This is THE WORSE STORE I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH!!! I had just come back from my first over seas tour and my fiance and I thought that with our new place, we would buy new furniture. We decided that we need a bedroom set first. We walked into the Hobbs New Mexico store and very quickly were greeted by a sales person. He was friendly and seemed genuine. THAT WAS FALSE! We picked out our furniture and filled out the in house financing paper work and paid a four hundred dollar deposit. We were told that until our furniture came in we would receive weekly updates. THAT WAS LIE NUMBER TWO! I had called back in July and was told that all our furniture was in, minus our lamp set. But we were also told that what we had agreed to, what our sales person had told us was false. We were told that if we paid in full before the term, we would beat the interest rate. Speaking to a manager about it, he told us that that was not true! We were gonna end up having to pay double that. So told them, call us when our furniture gets in and we will pay in full. Months had passed and still heard nothing. I do mean months, to be exact, 7 MONTHS!!! I HAD TO CALL THEM AGAIN, in FEBRUARY!!! They said that half the furniture was in. Half!!! At that point, I asked for the corporate number. I left a message and got a call back the next day, the woman apologized but explained that the reason for the no contact, was because they did not have a number for me. THAT WAS ANOTHER LIE!!! A corporate manager lied. I had told her that we filled out the application, which has six personal references plus mine and my fiances numbers. Our work numbers, address, email. There was absolutely no way that they could not contact me!!! So she had a man from there lubbock department call me, that has been a mess as well! He would not return my phone calls, until I said that I was going to contact the Better Business Bureau. He sent me contracts to revise that do not include what he had said he was going to do. I had told him that I just want my money back, and he has the informs me that he will not return my money due to restocking fees! they want to charge me to restock something that they themselves do not have, and that I never had!!! THIS STORE, THIS COMPANY IS A JOKE!!! I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN! I have told all my friends and family of this disaster and I WILL BE CONTACTING THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. I WOULD WARN EVERYONE TO NOT DEAL WITH THEM!!!!

I purched a living room and dining room set from Ikasa. I paid for it and it was supposed to come that week it never arrived and they never called me. I called them and they told me deliveries were overbooked and I would get my furniture that following Monday. Once again never arrived. I called back and all of a sudden they dont' have my sofa's in stock and I will have to to wait two weeks. It's almost week 3 and they still can't give me a date for delivery and are refusing to refund my money. The managers rude and have no interest in resolving this issues. I have filed a complaint with the BBB. Never again worst service I have ever experienced.

Won't even give this company a star, I bought a couch from their store and went to pick it up at the distribution center in Houston TX. It took them about an hour to get my couch for me with only 2 customers in front of me. I would not buy anything else from this company until they fix their poorly run distribution center. A customer should not have to wait that long to get a piece of furniture they already been waiting weeks to come in.

We purchased a bedroom set and mattress and box spring from Ashley furniture in Concord California. 1-16-2012. We finally got a call a month later saying that all our furniture was in and that they would deliver it on Sunday. We waited all day Saturday for our phone call to tell us what time they would be here Sunday. We never got a call, by 6:00 pm I called the store and they gave me the run around and said we will get back to you. No call came so I called back again. After my 3rd call, I finally got ahold of my sales agent who told me they messed up and our furniture was not put on the schedule, I rescheduled for the following Wednesday. My furniture came and everything seemed great. As the delivery guy was ready to leave he said "did you order any mattresses?" I said yes, they should be on your truck. He said no he didn't have any. I called the store and the girl said, she didn't know where they were. I said that is not an acceptable answer and asked for the manager. The manager said he too had no idea where they were or why I was told the mattresses were in, but that he would look into it. I'm really getting tired of sleeping on the floor and waiting for people to get back to me. I hope we don't have to wait another month.I WOULD ADVISE YOU..........DO NOT SHOP AT ASHLEY FURNITURE!!!!!!!!!!

I wrote a review about four days ago and still don't see it. The way this company does business, I don't know how they stay in business. I finally got my bedroom set and mattresses after a month of phone calls and being shuffled around from employee to employee. I was lied to two different times and then when I said forget the whole deal, they told me I signed a contract and that I'm still obligated to purchase my order. After sleeping on the floor for a month, today I finally received my mattresses so I have an actual bed again. I would seriously look around before purchasing anything from Ashley Furniture.

I have had the worst luck with Ashleys in Carbondale, IL. I purshed a sofa and recliner from them a year ago. My sofa is okay but my recliner is awful. They are electric so when you push the button the recliner comes out/goes in etc. However, my recliner is stuck in the layed out position. I have taken the chair back to the store twice and they say all they did to fix it was plug it in. That is crap because I checked everything before I took it to them. So when it broke for the 3rd time they came to my house 2 weeks later and he pushed the reset button (which I had tried) and said that it was fixed. Not 10 minutes after he left my house the chair was stuck again!!!. I called him back up immediately and he told me he was already out of town and he would talk to his boss. So 3 days later they finally called me back and said they ordered a part for my chair and when I get it I am to call them to set up a time for them to come and install this part. I have had the part now for a month. I called them twice and the tech was supposed to call me back. I have not heard anything from him. I finally got a call back from a floor person and I told her I needed someone to come out on weekend because I work all week. She said they would have to get back to me. So I will NEVER buy from Ashely's again. They have the absolute worst customer service I have ever seen.

I bought a bedroom suit from ashley furniture in Chesterfield VA. I was told that the bed frame and headboard foot board would work with my California King mattress that i already have. Long story short the bedroom suit does not adjust to cal. king they dont even make the model bed that i got in cal. king. So i ask them what they are going to do, give me a new bedroom suit or atleast give me my money back, the asst. manager response was "all sales are final there is nothing i can do about it." So it was your fault that i have a frame that i cant use, on your spec sheet for this bed it even says cal. king, what am i supposed to do with it now? I dont know its not my problem..... The response from clyde the asst. manager. NEVER buy from them, they have no customer service and the furniture they have is crap.

I purchased a dining room set last year 2/19/11. I purchased the table and six chairs. when I tried to go back and get the other two chairs they first told me it was disconitnued then I was told i would have to purchase the whole set again in order for me to get the two chairs missing. talk about a rip off. Even after i told them i would be purchasing a living room set they still stood on their word. The agent told me that I could but this set ( a second one ..the same i already have ) and i could sell it on craigs list

Customer service is horrible, I purchased a bed and after 4 weeks of delays the bed that was finally delivered had scratches and was in very poor condition, so I refused it. They did not have anymore in stock so I went back to the store in Linden NJ to select a new bed. The bed I purchased was about 350.00 more, they would only take off 50.00, meanwhile I slept on the floor for 4 weeks and took off of work without pay because I did not want to miss the delivery. who will compensate me for my pay and time...50 dollars...really??? never again will I purchase something from them, needless to say I canceled the order. The store manager was not even decent enough to come and speak with me himself and apologize, he stood in his office....horrible place...lesson learned and I will spread the word around!!!!

In August 2011 we went to the Greenville SC store to look at a couch and loveseat. Upon selecting a set we filled out a credit application. We were approved but they said it would either be with Wells Fargo or Regional Finance. They would contact us re. The amount and interest rate within a day or so. Unfortunately I had just found out I had breast cancer and was scheduled for surgery. Long story short. We were never contacted as to the final decision and ended up having furniture delivered to our house and discovered that someone at the store had FORGED my signature on the retail application. NOTHING has been done about this...we have made several payments because it has affected our credit. We have called the mgr. Of the Greenville store after finally meeting with him as he told us he would "look into this" and we gave him a copy of the application that was forged by one of HIS employees. NO phone call...NO follow up! this is outrageous!
