we purchased a bedroom set from ashley on march 17th. they told us it would be about 3wks before it would be in and they would call us to set up a delivery time. well 3 wks rolled around and no word from ashley. i clld them and they said it did not come in but that they get deliveries every tuesday. well i kept calling every week to see if the order came in because nobody would call me.finally some of the pieces came in however they dropped a drawer and smashed the corner now i have to wait on that to come and im still waiting on the headboard and footboard. i clld today and now they tell me it will be another month!!!!! i cant get the manager to even call back!!!! i really dont know what to do at this point because nobody cares!!! please do not order from this company they are complete frauds! and i agree with the person above that they deserve no stars but we do not get that option!!

I shopped at the Salem store and let me tell you i will never ever being going back there nor will i be referring anyone to that store. We bought the "wonderful" $799 14 piece bedroom set ... paid for it on 4/13 here it is a month later and we have yet to get our furniture ... i have been calling for 2 weeks and its back ordered and every week it should arrive the following week... and when that week arrives its another week delay .. needless to say i became very upset .. i called the store manager and advised him i wanted to cancel .. then all of a sudden they had the same exact order in the warehouse that a previous customer cancelled.. kind of ironic but whatever i want my furniture.. then he tells me its another week to deliver.. which i was not having at all .. after many calls and me screaming he was able to get my furniture to me in the next couple of days.. kind of scared to see what is sent since a lot of posts on here they send the wrong stuff or its damaged .... this is the WORST company i have ever dealt with!

NO STARS would be more appropriate. Buyers beware, rethink before purchasing Ashley Furniture. There return policy is basically a "No Return Policy" there service department people cannot make correct fixes to "Brand New Furniture" SO NOW, we are left with 2 pieces of junk, a recliner couch and a loveseat. The Turnersville New Jersey store refuses to accept a return I was told & would be liable if I dropped it off at the store. Then you are passed of to, "Value City Furniture" for a supposed fix, just ridiculous. From the Corporate Offices, there all independenly owned, with there own policy & how they run there store...( FROM WHAT I'M READING ALL ASHLEY STORES EVERYWHERE STINK ) You would be better off going to a thrift shop for furniture//////At least you may find quality, versus junk furniture.

I brought a bed room set from ashley furniture home store in wilmington Delaware 19803, and a matress to go with it. I've had a complaint since I got the set dress draw was broke they fix that. The matress fell in the center theres a dip in my matresses and know one has been out to check it. Brought the set on Feb 2, 2012. Delivery to me on March 14,2012 after 5 days theres been a dip in my matresses been calling and cant get know where, ready to take this public to the news people. Spent to much money not to get this straighten out. Ready to send all this back and get my money. ain't even able to have a good night sleep. I want to praise your sales staff at Ashley Furniture in the Morehead City location in North Carlina. The sales person that help my husband and myself was very polite, courteous, and very helpful.She is a asset to your company! We purshased a King size mattress from her. The quality of the mattress was excellent and when we pick it up it was in excellent shape! She was very professional in every aspect!Thank You for having qualified people in your Morehead City location store. We are very pleased customers!

Do not buy anything from these people. They double billed me for my purchase and trying to get them to credit my account is like trying to get money from Fort Knox.

I wish i didn't have to give it a star at all! nothing but a runaround for damage not only to purchased items but t to property as well no resolution, stuck! i was hesitant in the beginning- should have stuck with my instincts and bought elsewhere

Extremely poor quality!!!!! DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS STORE!!! We bought couches for a part time rental/vacation home and had very little use. Now the fabric underneath the couch is DISINTEGRATING!!!!!! AND making a big mess on the carpet. Ashley will not do anything except they will repair AT A CHARGE!!! What furniture should disintegrate after 2 or 3 years! And they are leather couches, JUNK!!!!!! If you see the consistent messages above, that should be enough to know you have been warned!!

Ashley did not inform me that the product that I purchased would require some assembly. There were no mention of assembly required under the item description, therefore I did not feel the need to pose the question. Needless to say, the hardware was not included with shipment and now I have to wait another 7-14 days to receive hardware. After speaking to several people, I found that CUSTOMER SATISFACTION means NOTHING to MANAGEMENT once a sale is final. I would not recommend Ashley Furniture as a reputable business.

It simple, Ashley really does not care about customer service once they sell there product.Late delivery, stained furniture, cleaned at their convenience, no compensation!

Purchased a sectional 2 months, and four days BEFORE my move in date for my new place. I scheduled for me to pick up the couch, my self on the day. I was assured at the time of purchase that everything would be ready. I checked 2 weeks before my move in date, and was told everything was "A o-k". I called on the move day, only to hear, "Oh, I'm sorry, you couch is on back order." WTF?!??!!?!??!!!!?!?!. I had no other couch, this was it, and I thought I got it in plenty of time. So I went to the store I bought it from to scream at the manager. In the end, he tried to make me feel like he was doing me a FAVOR by delivering it for free later on. BBB accreditation my a**, I guess they'll "accredit" anyone. DON'T SHOP HERE, EVEN IF YOU WANT TO PICK THE COUCH UP YOURSELF, THEY'LL STILL SCREW UP!!

i purchased living room furniture from the evansville indiana location on march 16 I was told it would be two weeks for delivery after I left the store on the top of my receipt it says est.dlivery 4/20 that make it a month. On the twentieth I called Aslhey and the said possibly the 23rd it came and I didnt hear fromthem so they called on the 25 the and delivered on the 26 it was almost six weeks I had no furniture except for metal folding chairs in my living room because I disposed of my furniture expecting it in two week. this is such poor business and i will never buy anything from you again and my big mouth can spread a lot of information to other customers

Been dealing with CRAP since November 2011 and here it is almost May 1st 2012. First set took forever to get here and when it did get here it was damaged. Ordered 3 more damaged sofas and finally right before Christmas we had chaise sofa and loveseat...needless to say it was terribly made and the material started fraying after a month. Legs and all pieces were wobbly when sat on. Never could reach manager for refund or reorder. Finally got to him and picked new sectional and they only delivered two pieces of that and took original set. SOOOOO left me with junk! I hope that was not $3000 down the drain!!!!!!!!!!!!! DONT LET THEM DECEIVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!! THEY ARE A SCAM ALL TOGETHER. READ THE HORROR STORIES!!!

I live in Watertown, NY and the nearest Ashley Furniture Store is an hour away in Syracuse. They had a special going for a 14 piece living room set for $799. I knew my husband wanted new furniture and thought that was a deal that couldnt be beat. So I took that drive to purchase our set. We were able to choose between three diffrent colors, two diffrent fabrics of the sofa and loveseat, and had a choice of rugs, coffee table and end tables, rugs, and accessory sets. We ordered our furniture and was told that we would have to pick up the accessory pieces, rug, and lamps because they do not deliver those items. (at the time I was thinking that they were lose pieces.) So the sales representative went on to explain that the sale was a big success and the delivery would be six to eight weeks and I would receive a call when the items was available to be picked up and to schedule a delivery date. To my surprise I waited six weeks and no call. So I called and was told that my items that I needed to pick up was ready and that they were waiting on my sofa to be delivered. The estimated time for that was April 17, so we scheduled my delivery for April 18. I picked up my items a week before the delivery and to no surprise the lamps and accessory pieces were in boxes. (and they couldnt deliver these because?) So my delivery date came and they coffee table and end tables are correct. They went to bring in the loveseat and it was a cafe color. I swore I ordered mocha. Well to my surprise the sales representative ordered the wrong color. The cafe do not match anything that I picked for everything else. So I called the store and the customer service representative transfered me to the sales person that did not order my set. He was very rude and unprofessional. He pretty much told me that there was nothing he could do and that he would reorder my set and would not charge me a delivery fee again. WHAT!!!! If I didnt already get rid of my old furniture I would have asked for all my money back and sent the rest of the stuff back. I have already waited eight weeks for my set and have to wait another three weeks without furniture and there is nothing that you can do for me? They say they will be sending me a $50 gift card which means nothing to me seems as how I will never in life buy anything from them again. So we will be sitting on the floor for my husbands birthday dinner. Thanks a lot Ashley Furniture!

I just purchased a bedroom set and living room set from the Ashley furniture store in Carson California. My delivery was supposed to be 4/19/2012. I received a call on 4/17/2012 stating that my sectional was delayed one day and that I would be able to receive my furniture on 4/21/2012 because deliveries were not made in my area on Fridays. So I cancelled all plans on Saturday and removed all my old furniture and was really excited about receiving all my new furniture. I received a call at3:00 pm (my delivery time was set up between 1:15pm and 5:15pm) and was told that my furniture would be delivered before 5:30pm and I would receive a call 30-40 minutes before my delivery would arrive. At 5:00pm I called the delivery department and was told that due to delays I would not receive my delivery till 8:00pm and due to the furniture I purchased the delivery team would not be done in my home till 10:00pm. I called the store and spoke with the sales manager and explained my problem and stated that customer service and communication does not exist outside there stores and would like to be compensated with an additional night stand. The sales manager told me he could not give me a night stand but would be more than happy to give me a $100.00 gift card to purchase accessories in there store. At this point I want my furniture and do not want to go back to any of the stores and anyone that ask's me I will express that Ashley furniture is quick to make a sale and take your money and once you leave the store it is buyer beware. From the other customer complaints that I have read on this site it suprises my that Ashley furniture has not gone bankrupt or out of business. I truly hope I have the opportunity to speak with the president of the company as I work in the customer service field and our company is in the top 10 percentile in the nation on customer service.

I purchased a sectional in 2010 and the fabric on the seat cushions unraveled .. because this is not "accidental" its not covered under the warranty but they were would be nice enough to sell me more of the same crappy fabric for $225. The dining furniture I purchased came with an allen wrench which after having to use it monthly I know why they sent it. Never again will I purchase from them...I paid way too much for furniture that couldnt stand up to a small house hold.. I don't have children and my roommate and I were rarely home.. disgusted

Never ever ever again will I step foot in Ashley Furniture.The store in Frederick Maryland is absolutely the worst.I bought leather chair and couch 2 years ago and right in the middle of the chair where your head rests there is a big orange spot.It started out as small orange spots and i rubbed my finger over it to see if it would come off and the (supposedly) leather started to peel right off.I called my customer service 5 year protection plan and they said thats not covered because thats normal wear and tear.I said are you kidding me??? and a few other words.Then she said I will send the claim in but i cant guarantee they will call you.Needless to say 3 weeks later I've heard nothing.So I go into the store and i talk to customer service and shes sorry but its not their fault we only guarantee 1 year.I want to talk to the manager hes off for two days.I would love to stand in front of that store and tell anyone who goes in there what terrible customer service and the quality of furniture they have but there were no customers in sight.(Hint Hint)I guess the word is getting around.

I too wish I had read this prior to my purchase. Waited 3 wks for delivery sheduled it for 4/5/12. Mother inlaw Had a MEDICAL EMERGECY out of state. Called store to let them know we need to re-schedule the delivery due to an MEDICAL EMERGENCY. Husband was given a 888# and told he had to re-schedule it himself. Keep in mind we are in route to C but had a layover in PA. Husband called number only to get a recording that stated "we are busy" and then it would DISCONNECTthe call.Tried all day Mon. and Tues. Finally on Wed. he got through only to find because there is no record or note in the computer on Mon, regarding the need to re-schedule he will be charged the delivery fee of $150.00. I ask to specak to the manager Nick who has not call ed to ate. Got a call from delivery driver to open the from door (on 4/5 the original delivery date) again did someone not make a notation in computer to cancel delivry. Or was this just to say that furniture was delivered and no one was home. We also did not get call to say what the window of delivery would be 8-12 or 12-5pm.

We purchased over $5000 worth of " real wood" furniture and to our surprise about 3 months later a corner of our entertainment center fell off revealing presswood. I was livid. We contacted Ashley and was told "we knew it was not real wood" at which time to informed them that we were told by both the sales supervisor and the salemen that it was solid wood. They finally agreed to replace the coffee table and the entertainment center and the 1400 dollar mattress. Well, the just left with all the new furniture because there we two tiny stains on the bottom side of the mattress which i cleaned. We are calling a lawyer. Do not shop or even think of buying anything from ASHLEY FURNITURE, biggest mistake we have ever made. THis company is great and friendly when you are in the store and while you are writing a big check, but don't try to get help after the sale. CUstomer service is terrible and rude. We are calling and hiring an attorney to sue the pants of them. They would get a zero if it was offered.
