Ashley furniture prides themselves and states that their furniture is exceptional quality, please refer to the attached photos to reference the poor quality of the furniture. It is not properly stuffed, its not smooth and you can see its lumpy throughout the back cushions of the entire sectional. Also note that it is not properly filled at the ends, each cushion has floppy ears. The entire sectional is not structurally sound, they do not all connect together more then just in the bottom and are lose. in addition to this the ends are so tight, that they are stretched and starting to tear. Improper stitching is also an issue. As soon as the pieces were unpacked and the damage was located, I call their customer service department and reported the damage (still in the packing material it was picked up in), I took pictures of this and offered to send it to the customer service rep. She advised that they were going to send a rep to repair it and that it was suppose to be in show room condition. As soon we noticed that the recliner was not working (24 hours later) I called once again and emailed a video of this not working as soon as it was discovered. I also advised the customer service rep that I was not allowed to inspect the sectional at the loading dock. The gentlemen advised that if I had any issue, what’s so ever, I was to report it to customer service, he gave me their number. He said that by signing , I was only signing that I received the furniture, not confirming the condition that it was in. At this point I requested that I wanted to return the sectional. I was advised by Ashley that at that point this would be considered a cancellation and they can only offer a store credit. I advised that I did not see anything in stores or the catalog that was what I was looking for. That’s not to say that their field rep came to the home took pictures and advised that this was indeed a "BAD " sectional and that it would cost Ashley more to repair the sectional then it would to replace it or all together return my money ( I requested he provide this to me in writing and he declined). How is it acceptable that I take store credit , if with an expensive piece of furniture that without use is already broken, ripped, and defective what is my guarantee that the other pieces I exchange them for are any better. I feel that I am being penalized for something that was completely out of my control. I was not the one that damaged , ripped, and poorly constructed the sectional, I thought that a reputable company would have some kind of quality control in place to avoid issues as these. Apart from that since the sectional arrived at my home , I have had huge roaches. These were coming from the sectional and I had to pay have my home fumigated, as I was not aware of how many roaches had spread through the home. Lastly, I was advised by the store (I called 3 stores and went to 2 stores, this includes the store that I purchases it from) and was confirmed by the store manager and the sales manager that the ENTIRE sectional was 100% genuine leather. Apparently the sectional is not , its faux leather and this is why the backs of all the pieces were scuffed and ripped. Just this alone is not enough to pay close to $2900 for this sectional.I am truly upset that I was misled by Ashley furniture, I was promised exceptional quality, and an all 100% leather sectional and this is definitely not what I received. I revisited the store where I purchased the sectional, and took a recording of the sales manager stating that this was 100% leather. I feel that Ashley furniture needs to accept responsibility for this, according to the deceptive trade practice a store cannot state that this is 100% leather if its really not, I purchased this as a 100% leather sectional sofa, and its not tO DATE (12 weeks later) there is still no resolution I cannot beleive that they are still in business!

I highly suggest you stay away from Ashley or Furniture mart. Their customer service is TERRIBLE! We bought a TV stand and the one drawer had broken inlayed tiles adn the other drawer the front was put on crooked(3/16") to where it sat crooked and rubbed on the door below it causing damage. Very rude salesperson and even more rude manager. (Elk RIver MN store)

Do not do the right thing... I spent over $3500 on a couch, a dining table and a king size bed at Ashley's. The table with one leg damaged. It took about 1 month but Ashley eventually shipped me the replacement leg and I replaced it myself to save time. With the couch, this is the 3rd time within the first year that my couch is coming apart at the seams. First time, 2 cushions came apart on both sides at the seams within the first month of owning the couch. Ashley sent replacement cushions to honor the warranty. The second time, the back of the couch came apart in two spots, and Ashley refuses to exhange the couch. I sent and email to the VP and I spoke to the customer service manager and they ignore my request for a couch replacement. I had a pretty good disagreement with the manager when I explained that the couch is a lemon or poor craftsmanship. It has been a 2-3 month process, but they are scheduled to come and replace the entire back end fabric to resolve the second issue. Now, today the couch was ordered exactly 1 year ago and when I looked at the couch and another cushion has come apart at the seams on both sides. I am reading that after the 1 year contract that seams are not covered with the extented contract. I will call them to make sure, but I am so unhappy with Ashley's customer service and their product!

The only reason I gave the Ashley Furniture store in Lubbock, Tx, ONE star is because the rating system doesn't permit anything lower. The ONLY reason I didn't immediately go into the store to have my money returned was I encountered several people in both the Midland and Lubbock stores who had asked for a refund due to delivery problems. SIX and TEN months later, they still hadn't received a refund and were getting the run around! They were told that it's NEVER Ashley's policy to refund money for any reason... You'll get a refund but it's ONLY an Ashley store credit to be used for particular items in their store AND THEN, OF COURSE, you go through the whole delivery CIRCUS again dealing with dishonest, lying personnel!! I had gone to the Lubbock, Tx, store with my son who was looking for a leather couch. I discovered a specialty accent chest and decided to buy it. It was $1,000 and I paid cash for it. Rather than put it in my SUV, the saleswoman talked me into having it delivered to the Midland, Tx, store the next day free of charge. I would pick it up sometime the next afternoon in Midland 2 hours from Midland where I lived. THIRTY DAYS later, the chest is still sitting in the same place on the Ashley Furniture store. I have called 2 and 3 times a day trying to get the chest sent to me. Numerous people with different names have told me numerous outlandish LIES, i.e. sorry but we can't find your chest, it was sent to the Midland store the next day but the Midland store can't find it in their warehouse, it's in the Lubbock delivery system and we are trying to locate it for you, it's misplaced in the Lubbock warehouse, the Midland store has lost it, etc. etc. I've sent my son into the Lubbock store FOUR different times to see if the chest had moved out of the spot on the display floor. IT HAS NOT!!! He could never get a sales or office person to help him sooo he could just take it from the store!! They said they had lost the paperwork and the salesperson was out of the store....FOUR different times!! Ashley's Lubbock store called and scheduled FOUR different times for me to wait at home as the chest was FINALLY going to be able to be delivered. Each time, the DELIVERY TRUCK NEVER SHOWED NOR DID MY CHEST!! Then the next day, I would call and say what's going on and it was like REINVENT THE WHEEL AGAIN!! I called the Lubbock, Tx, store again and asked to speak to the Manager of the Store! A man answered the phone. He said he was the MANAGER OF THE STORE. I said...what is your last name? He replied George. I said well George I find it rather strange that you said you WERE the MANAGER OF THE STORE. Normally, they don't answer the phones... He said YES I AM. I said not the MANAGER of the floor or a department or of delivery but the MANAGER OF THE STORE???? He said yessss I am! I said great and explained my problem RATHER RELUCTANTLY as he didn't sound like THE Manager to me! After my explanation, he said that in looking in the computer (give me a break), he discovered that they were unable to find my chest after it had been moved into their warehouse. I said STOP "George"..... My son just left your store after I sent him to see if my chest is still sitting on the floor and it is still sitting in the same place where I purchased it!!! THREE WEEKS LATER!! I SAID Please give me your last name and I'm going to call whomever is your BOSS! Everyone has a boss!! He said no he wouldn't give me his name...it was confidential and they were not allowed to give out their last names.. Even a fly by night old furniture truck that goes around the neighborhood will give out their last name... What a sleazy organization!! Of course, "George" was use to being dishonest and was a liar but not use to be called on it.. Two days later, my son went into the store and asked to talk to the MANAGER OF THE STORE! OF COURSE I knew that George WAS NOT THE MANAGER OF ANYTHING. My son was introduced to Mr. Bixler WHO INDEED IS THE MANAGER OF THE STORE. My son explained my 4 week ordeal.... Showed Mr. Bixler the chest which I had purchased with the sold sign on it still sitting on the floor.. Mr. Bixler seemed shocked and furious.. Talked to my son for 20 minutes and told him that he would personally have my chest delivered 2 days later at my home and I would not be charged for the delilvery.. He said he would talked to salesperson, blah, blah, blah, blah... Monday came and I cancelled a meeting and ONCE AGAIN waited at home that morning for my chest to arrive as the first delivery of the day!! The chest never arrived and no one called! On Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, I called the store FOUR times each day and left messages for the salesperson, Janie Jones and the GENERAL MANAGER, Mr. Bixler. I was told they were in a meeting NUMEROUS times and couldn't talk to me. NEITHER returned my calls. On Friday, I called the store and was told by Stephanie that Mr. Bixler was in the store and was not busy. I explained who I was, etc. and she said hold a minute and I'll put him on. Welllll less than a a minute later, she came back on the phone and said Mr. Bixler said HE WAS TOO BUSY TO TALK TO YOU! I was incredulous!!! I reached my level of FURIOUS!! I told her that she could tell Mr. MANAGER OF THE STORE Bixler that he had until 5:00 to call me. If I didn't hear from him today, it would be the last call I ever placed to their store....that my lawyer would be calling Ashley Furniture IMMEDIATELY...AND I would be a filing a complaint report to the Better Business Bureau, Chamber of Commerce and talking to the DA about making sure Ashley's fraudulent behavior stopped. I said I had never talked to soooo many dishonest, rude lying people and now I knew why there were soooo many grouped together....they were just following Mr. Bixler's and Ashley's example and policies....lie, lie, lie and be as rude and dishonest as possible... Promise them everything but GIVE THEM NOTHING! NOT FIVE MINUTES LATER, I received a call from a delivery person in the Lubbock, Tx, store. She apologized and said my delivery problem had been brought to her attention. I said SURE BY the coward Mr. Bixler who didn't have the guts to return any of my calls? She again said she wish to set up my delivery. I said fine... She then said my RUG would be delivered on Monday. I said WHAT did you say would be delivered...she said your RUG!! I said I didn't purchase a RUG....IT'S A CHEST! Ohhhhhh my good Heavens! We ended the conversation with her saying to call HER in case I didn't receive the chest on Monday. I said I will NOT be calling you if I don't receive the delivery... I WILL NOT be calling Mr. Bixler...you can check with him on the next step I will be taking on Monday if I don't receive the chest... ....AND TO DATE I HAVE NOT RECEIVE MY CHEST!!! PRESENTLY, I am following through with getting legal representation and filing complaints for taking my CASH MONEY and refusing to give me my purchase!! I NEVER LOOK ON LINE FOR REVIEWS OR COMPLAINTS BEFORE I BUY FROM A MAJOR STORE... Hereafter, I will never purchase an item without checking reviews first!!

They dont deserve a star at all not only was my furnture no good and also to small for my apartment it faded on me and because my 90 days were up they didnt care Please if you need furniture dont by from them they are only out for a sale i called consummers affair on them so hopefully this will not happen to someone else good bye Ashley hello Jennifer

i hate this store. I had to wait 6 to 8 weeks to get something to delivered to me. They kept pushing my delivery date back farther and farther. I will never go here again, there are other stores that have 3 days delivery guarantee.

took my 18 year old daughter to ashley furniture home store to simply purchase something under their RAC acceptance program to start building her some credit. she filled out the app and gave them 200.00 down on a 1,000.00 purchase and signed a contract. it was a floor model so they told us if we would have been in a truck we could have taken it home that day, went back the next day to pick it up and at that point we were told that nothing had been verified and that we would not be able to take our purchse. now im like who signs contracts and takes down pymnt before making sure a customer is qualified.

Poorest service ever! I wish I found this site before I went to Ashley furniture. I can't believe a "reputable" company like Ashley does business the way they do. Will never make another purchase even if I had a free gift card/certificate not worth the headache after the sale is completed. The initial service is great but after the sale you're just another sucker who they sold something to. I went in to the Wichita Falls, Tx location. Salesmen was nice so was manager. I initially went in 1st week may 8, 2012 because they had a 5 piece bedroom set I was interested in for $599 in sales paper. I also happen to see a bedroom set I was interested in that was on the floor. Because I typically have buyers remorse I asked the salesmen if I purchased the set in the paper could I return and buy the esmarelda set I liked. Salesman said once furniture is delivered there is zero return policy unless I wanted to pay a 25% fee which is outrageous! Since the salesmen could see I was torn between the 2 he spoke with the manager and manager made a deal with me that if I ordered the furniture in sales paper I could go to the warehouse 15 minutes away from the store look at it before they deliver and if I didn't like it I wouldn't be charged a fee and I can reselect the Esmeralda set. That information was put into the notes. 2 weeks later got a call from Ashley. I drove down from Lawton, Ok on saturday right before memorial day and stopped @ the warehouse. My initial contact with them was rude and the gentleman I was speaking with was the manager who wasn't trying to understand why I was here. His associate had more sense then he. Finally he allowed me to look @ my set. I did not like it at all. It was cheaply made and the entire appearance of it looked cheap. I drove to the store spoke with the salesman and I decided to get the Esmarelda set all I had to was pay the difference in price. The lady who help me sign paperwork said call @ the end of the week to set up delivery. I did just that. On Friday I called to set up delivery. The guy I spoke with said they only deliver to Lawton on Thursdays so my delivery was scheduled for 6/6/12. I received a call day before delivery and a lady said my furniture would be delivered sometime in the afternoon and she didn't have a specific time but the day of I will get a call 30 minutes prior. Well.... Next day delivery day I got only a phone call letting me know they were outside and they showed up at 6:15pm. Last time I checked 6pm was in the evening and that is not afternoon. A whole worked day missed. I'm already upset about this. As the gentlemen are bringing in the furniture I notice this is not the right furniture set. They had delivered the set I decided not to buy! I told them its not the right furniture and the guy was tryin to convince me to keep it! They left saying my order won't be in until July and didn't even apologize for their mistake. Totally unacceptable! Because I had already gave away my old bed. Now I'm left sleeping on the floor. I called Ashley the lady said my furniture wouldnt be in until the end of June which was 4weeks!!! I'm steaming hot! I called corporate and speaking to them is a joke. They have no people skills, do take interest in your situation. I spoke with at least 6 reps on 6/7 one lady who assured she would get everything squared away. She said she would follow up with me on Monday. Never got a call Monday so I called her Tuesday and some other lAdy tells me shes been terminated. No one have the willingness to help take initiative and treat your issue as a priority after you just paid your hard earned money. I had no choice to wait. End of June I called to set up delivery for my furniture and I was set up for a 2nd delivery on 7/5/12. Incompetent folks of Ashley yet again delivered the same furniture I didn't want. I was handed a piece of paper to call a number leaving me to yet again call speaking to folks who all have different stories, don't know what's going on and pretty much will say anything to get you off the phone. I called and this time I speak with 4 different people. All who don't know what to do. Spoke with gentleman named AJ he was nice but I still felt like he could do more. He said my furniture was there delivery men just delivered the wrong thing. Ok.... again not my error I asked could they at least come back today and deliver or at last tomorrow (Friday) he tells me they can't and the best he can do is Monday. He will call me Saturday to confirm. He at least did what he said compared to all the other idiots I spoke with. They finally delivered my furniture yesterday (Monday 7/9/12). Finally to get my order right. What got on my nerves was the salesman called to follow up to make sure my furniture was delivered correctly. He was better off not calling being that he or anyone else didn't care when there was problems. Ashley is all about the money. Once they take your money they don't care about you. Please stay away. These complaints are real!!! You do better buying furniture from a local store.... Pawn shop, Walmart just anywhere but this place! They definitely shouldn't be in business. Like this. It's horrible!!!!

I GIVE ASHLEY FURNITURE A FAR NEGATIVE STAR AS POSSIBLE... AFTER 2 MONTHS AND 2 ATTEMPTS OF DELIVERY I STILL DO NOT HAVE ALL MY FURNITURE. I PURCHASED 5/2/12 AND ITS 7/8/12 AND STILL CANT SEEM TO GET ANYONE TO HELP WITH THIS ISSUE. I HAVE A KITCHEN TABLE WITH NO CHAIRS AND 1 PIECE OF MY LIVING ROOM FURNITURE WHICH IS A RECLINER. MY KITCHEN CHAIRS AFTER 2 ATTEMPTS OF DELIVERY WERE ALL WOBBLY, THE LOVE SEAT WAS DAMAGED I COULD SEE THE INSIDE MATERIAL AND THE COUCH THE FIRST TIME THEY DRUG IT OFF THE TRUCK BROKE THE ARM OF THE CHAIR AND STILL TRIED TO BRING IT IN MY HOME UNTIL MY HUSBAND SAID OH NO YOU CAN TAKE THAT BACK. ASHLEY FURNITURE IS A JOKE AND A RIPOFF... I CALL THE STORE NUMEROUS OF TIMES AND CUSTOMER SERVICE GETTING NO WHERE... I CANT EVEN EXPRESS HOW STRESSFUL AND RIDICULOUS MY EXPERIENCE WITH ASHLEY'S HAS BEEN... BEST ADVICE DON'T BUY ASHLEY FURNITURE UNLESS YOU WANT OVER PRICE AND POOR QUALITY FURNITURE!! Hanover, MD

I saw and ad stating they were opening a new store in Oxnard, Calif. It stated "Store Managers and Sales Managers." I went to the job fair and waited 40 minutes to meet with someone. A gentleman came out of a room and asked if I was here for sales? I told him no. He said, "thank you for coming." I said the add says you're hiring for both Store and Sales Managers. He said, we don't hire from the outside. He asked again, are you interested in sales at all? I told him no. He said thanks for coming and turned and walked away. How stupid is Ashley??

I have heard rumors that Ashley Furniture was not the place to buy. I only wish now that I would have listened and read these reviews previously. I purchased a dining room set at the San Diego (Miramar) store several days ago. Of course the sales rep was initially helpful and eager to make a sale. However, this was short lived after the sale was complete and several hundred dollars was charged to my credit card. Although the dining set was in stock locally, I could not get a definitive delivery date, other than 3 possible time frames within 6-8 weeks away. I was later told that I would receive a phone call within 5-10 minutes to confirm a date that I would be available. Several hours later, my girlfriend contacted Ashley and spent approximately 20 minutes waiting for a customer rep to locate my paperwork and was told, "Some one will have to call you back." After waiting, I again called and was transferred to a store manager who was in a hurry and abruptly told me, "Our computer system is down. We'll call you no later than tomorrow." I am still waiting for a call and further information on my purchase. I guess my money is good enough to accept then, get out! The customer service of this store is inadequate to say the least. I will never step foot inside another Ashley Furniture. ste1231@cox.net

I have made 4 major furniture purchases from you, in the past 8 years. This purchase, that I made on 2/19/12, has yet to be completly delivered to my home. I made attempted to have this issue addressed by the Catonsville, MD store and the Corporate Office in Brandywine, MD. Neither location appears to be interested in resolving the issues, so I will wait until the balance of my order arrives. THEN, I WILL PAY FOR THE FURNITURE AND I WILL MAKE NO FURTHER ASHLEY FURNITURE PURCHASES. EVER

As a resident of Wisconsin for 45years I can't believe how cold hearted a family owned company can be. Recently our area was flooded out by tropical storm Debby. A car stalled out due to going thru high water and ended up stalled in a parking lot of a closed service merchandise store. Ashley had the car towed and now refuses to release the car without payment of 334.00. Where is your heart. If this is the kind of people I grew up with I can see why Wisconsin realected it's governor and I'm glad I left that state.

I bought a dinning room set two bedroom suits and office furniture from atlanta buckhead store the hutch and desk had to be exchanged twice they gave me a rug from the showroom floor that I returned. Do not buy furniture from this store. The quality is very poor. I wish I could give no stars. Beware go to havertys or some vwhere else

FRAUDULENT BEHAVIOR OF ASHLEY FURNITURE STORE IN LUBBOCK, TX. On Thursday 6/19/12, I visited Ashley furniture store in Lubbock TX to purchase a couch. I saw a couch I liked. I agreed to buy the couch on condition that the couch was already in stock and that Ashley furniture would deliver it to me on Friday 6/20/12 after 7pm. Samantha, Ashley's sales representative on duty checked, then confirmed that the couch was in store because somebody had previously ordered same couch. Samantha also assured me that Ashley would deliver the couch to my house on Friday in the evening after my full day’s work, i.e. not earlier than 7,30 p.m. as I requested, since the company's delivery service lasts until mid night. Based on the confirmation of this delivery time, I was encouraged to apply for in store credit with Wells Fargo bank to guarantee my payment for 5 years without interest and I did. Wells Fargo awarded me a credit line of $9200. Ashley pre-authorized a charge of $5,000.63 on the card before delivery. Samantha told me that the delivery guys will be calling me prior to delivering my merchandise on that Friday 6/29/12 as agreed. On Friday 6/29/12, contrary to my terms of contract with Ashley, the delivery person from Ashley called to schedule delivery for another day, instead of the day previously agreed with Ashley, which was Friday, June 29, 2012. I tried to relate to him the arrangement made in the show room, but he would not listen. Eventually the delivery guy became very irritable by my request that the delivery be done at 7p.m. and states that Ashley show room needs an in-service on times of delivery, adding that the show room made an error and he will not deliver past 5pm. I demanded to speak to customer service, and I was connected. My conversation with customer service was futile and the delivery guy decision was upheld. Since Ashley deceived me with their time of delivery and the delivery person was rude, impatient and irritable during his conversation with me; I made it clear to customer service that I did not want the couch anymore and subsequently cancelled the order. I had to go somewhere else to buy another cough because I really needed the couch for the weekend. To my surprise, Ashley staffs deliberately failed to document my conversation with them that I was no longer interested in the couch for fraudulent reasons because they had already placed a charge on my card and wanted to coerce me to continue the purchase. Customer service raised no objection with my decline in the purchase and I believed the case was closed. The following week, Ashley delivery guys called trying to schedule delivery. I made it clear to them that I had already cancelled the purchase since the company had not kept their part of the deal and that there was no need to deliver the couch. The man said he was sorry that he did not read the book that reflects changes in delivery. Two days later another person called, attempting to deliver the couch, I made it clear again that the delivery was cancelled and he hung up. On Thursday 6/26/12, I received a credit card from Wells Fargo in relationship to the purchase at Ashley with a credit line of $9200. Since I cancelled the purchase, there was no need to keep the card. Before I cancelled the card, intuitively I wanted to check if there was any activity on the card. To my surprise Ashley had charged my credit card without my acceptance of the merchandise, even though no delivery was effected and more so as the deal had been cancelled. I called the bank the next day and the charge was confirmed. 0n Friday 6/27/12, I made several calls to Ashley, but no one would answer the call. Later in the evening about closing time for customer service, I made my last call and was able to speak to a man by name Frank who refused to introduce his name further than that. I requested that I know his name in full and title; he said it was Ashley’s policy to conceal their staff’s identity when dealing with clients. This was very suspicious to me, also Frank was very unprofessional, insensitive and non therapeutic in his speech. He concluded his conversation with me that there is a 25% fee for not buying the couch then hung up. Frank sounded very angry and irritable at me that I refused the purchase. Frank concluded that there is no documentation on file to reflect my conversation with Ashley staffs. Based on the treatment I received from Frank, I decided to go back to the show room to at least speak to Samantha or the manager of the store. On Saturday 6/28/12, after my 13 hours shift at work and very exhausted, I went to Ashley Furniture, met with Samantha and she took me to the manager Jayci Schneider. She listened and was very understanding. She said she will discuss the issue with her boss. On 7/2/ 12, I received a call from Sam Estrada who addressed himself as the vice president of the Ashley furniture. Sam sounded very desperate to take my money and commit me to a loan with Wells Fargo bank. I made it clear to Sam that I did not need to take any loan that I do not need. He said I did not have a choice that Ashley was going to force me to take the couch or an in store credit but not to cancel the charge on my credit card. Later in the day I received a bill from Wells Fargo for a charge of $5000.63. This concluded that I have been fraudulently charged for a mechanized I had cancelled and was never delivered. I have filed a complaint with Better business Bureau to investigate this fraudulent behavior with Ashley. I am very much aware that even if the merchandise had been delivered and I change my mind, I still have the right to return the item without suffering any loss of money. The arm twisting by officials of Ashley and the use of coercive force to compel me to buy what I had no use for is strange and should not be tolerated. I did not receive the merchandise, I no longer have the need for it and there is no reason why money should be fraudulently taken away from me without any justification.

There should be a category for less than 1 Star rating. Customer service at Ashley is a joke totally unacceptable! Bought a bedroom set in May & all of it was delivered broken! Watch out for the delivery men with their magic markers they try to cover up the scratches with them. Make a complaint with BBB maybe it will stop the crooks from ripping off the next customer or call your local news station maybe they'll out them for horrible business that they are!!!

I purchased a sofa recliner from your Rohnert Park, CA store. I gave a $100.00 deposit down, then came back the next day and put another $96.00 deposit down, which I was told the money was going toward the balance on the account. The couch was purchased at $599.00 and tax was not included. I was told by Rent A Center, (Sean) that the amount I was putting down on the account would decrease the purchase price by the $196.00 I put down. When I got home, I reviewed the paperwork and found out only $52.00 of the $196.00 was put toward the couch and the rest went for fees for Ashley Furniture and Rent A Center. I immediately contacted Sean and told him this is incorrect. I was told by him that the full amount of the $196.00 would go toward the couch. I would have NEVER NEVER put all that money towards something else. As you can image, I got the runaround and was told “Tough Luck”. On top of that I had to pay a $100.00 delivery free and was told I did not have a choice on when it was going to be delivered. I was told once I paid for delivery, it would approximately two weeks and can have it delivered when it was convenient for me. I was called by Ashley Store and told the couch would be delivered on a Thursday. I explained I am at work on a Thursday and could not accommodate them. I asked for a Saturday delivery in the morning and they told me they could not confirm. WHAT!!!!!, I gave them two weeks notice. Then finally, I got a Sunday deliver. The delivery people put the couch in my home and as I was inspecting it, I noticed two large tears on the back in the corners. I immediately called Sean at Rent a Center and he told me to hold onto the couch until I get a new one. Now this really gets interesting from here: Sean talked to some guy at corporate and was told they have the right to fix the couch before sending me out a new. I said NO WAY. I purchased a new couch, not a couch to be fixed. I spoke with the guy at Corporate, Cuzzy, I think was his name and told me they are required to have a tech come out. I explained to him, besides being ripped off from Ashley for my money, I am not accepting a ripped couch. I PAID for a new couch. He told me it didn’t matter. I almost agreed and told them to send someone out the next day. His response to me was “I don’t have to schedule a tech for your convenience”. My Gold almighty. This is a representative from Ashley, talking to a customer. I immediately wanted his supervisor and spoke to MaryAnn, she asked me if ihad any pictures, so I sent them to her. She somewhat worked with me, and finally called me back and said due to all the trouble I have had with Ashley they would schedule me delivery of a new couch. On June 26, 2012, I spoke with Ashley regarding what day and time the couch would come. We agreed on Saturday, June 30, 2012 before 12:00 noon. At 11:00am, I contacted Ashley Furniture and spoke with Emma. I told her I did not hear from the delivery people on Friday, as they stated they would. She said Ashley and the delivery people could not locate my phone number to call me. WHAT!!!!!!!!!. She said the couch will be delivered from 12:00noon to 4:00pm. I stated this is not the schedule I agreed upon with Ashley. I explained I would not be home and it would be a waste of time and gas. She said she has no number to contact the delivery or the warehouse personnel on a Saturday. On June 30, 2012, at 1:00pm, the new couch came and went. It was even more ripped than the first one. Someone tried to fix a rip by putting a staple in it. There was a sticker stuck to the inside cushion, and the back was so ripped, the stitching was still in it, hanging. I am FREAKIN DONE!!!!. I either want $300.00 dollars off my bill, with a NEW COUCH, NOT A RIPPED ONE. or all my money I put down and come and take the couch back. I want a total of $304.00 (which includes delivery I paid for) take the couch and I will make sure the Better Business Bureau knows about Ashley and I will purchase a couch from a reputable furniture store. If I do not get the satisfaction I deserve for all the headaches, I will file a lawsuit for Breach of Contract. The Contract states I purchased a new couch, not a ripped to stapled couch. I still have my pictures I took and the store does also.

I was offered a job with this company after signing the contract too become apart of there sales team after doing the paper work, an not hearing from them for a few weeks concerning my start date. I called to find out that they changed there mind about giving me the job which devestated my feeling as hard as it is too find work right now it hurt too the core of my heart. I look at the sales team in this store I began too undrestand that it wasnt my capibilities but someone who never knew anything about me or my capabilities. In looking at there sales I notice that there wasnt one black sales person on this team again another hurtful point. Yes Ive done those things in the past as a kid growing up that I really regret but people change and in changing we doing this for the better. I've never had a felony, I've never have been too the joint,Ive paid my child support to best of my ability.I love sales and its something Ive always done well at....Store Manger Love me the sales team Manger love and even the Regional Manger love and Welcome me too the store team. Three interviwes 5 stars from all of them. So why is it that a job that was offered to was so eazyly taken from me and yet have they givin me a reason Background check found no alerts....Sign Mr.Dissappointed

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER, EVER... I purchased a bedroom set from Ashley store in Brooklyn on May 5. The set came and the media center was damaged, I called customer service it took 2 weeks for them to come out to fix the furniture, the repairman said the media center could not be fixed so they would call me to arrange to get a new delivery. I received no call from Ashley, I had to call them, they told me that they would send out a piece because contrary to what the repairman said the media center could be fixed. The piece WAS DELIVERED, the repairman cancelled his first appt. due to illness, another appt. was set up for this week 6/26. Repairman came and confirmed again that the media center could not be fixed, he said he would file a report and Ashley would get back to me to let me know when the new media center would be delivered. He came on Tuesday, 6/26, however his report would not reach the office UNTIL Friday 6/28, and we would be contacted w/o 7/1, next week to get a delivery. THIS IS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER....
