First time Allstate Customer since 10/4/10 and will be shortly lived. I am looking for another company now, just after 3 months. In Dec. of 2010 I had to pay $150.98 because I turned in the uninsured motorist form late and requested 10/20 unstacked. Well not only did I pay, but since then I do not have the coverages and they now want to charge me $60.00 to correct the issue. I never herd of the customer paying for a company's error. I am looking to change companies. Lets see how it goes to cancel my policy and get my refund.

They have horrible customer service. They have been transferring me all day for a simple thing i requested. i will not be dealing with them any more.

We have up to now been very satisfied with Allstate - but recently after 40 years they are dropping my 85 year old mother - we have had two break ins and a couple of wind storms that messed with the home. She has hardly bothered them whatsoever and now since they had to pay out some money which wasn't all that much they are dropping an 85 year old woman right before Christmas - what a wonderful thing to do.

Beware of the charges once they have your information if you cancel or decide not to take their policy they still proceed to collect even after being told that you did not want the service.I find this to be a shady buisness practice. Would they cover if something happened during this period I highly doubt it. I see we are not alone in our one star poor rating and of how telling of the lies and decepticons seems to be a part of the buisness standard.I would as one person above stated gave them a 0 stars but that was not a option.

I switched to Allstate specifically because of poor customer service from my previous policy holder. I switched both my home and auto insurance. 3 weeks into my new homeowners policy, I got a letter (not a phone call!)telling me that my policy was being cancelled. It then fell to me to spend 20 minutes on hold on their "Cutomer Service" line, so I could be told that the reason my policy was being cancelled was because "we couldn't find your house to do the external inspection." So, I gave them directions to my house, as well as my phone number so they could call if they could not find the home. I went along for a month thinking that all was well. Then I received a notice (again, in the mail) telling me, again, that my policy was cancelled. Once again, I went through the labyrinth of their Customer Service line, and was told that my policy cancelled because of a loose step on my front porch. I told them that my husband was a carpenter and that, had I known, I could have fixed the step within an hour without all the ensuing fuss. Now they are trying to send me an $83 bill for the 3 weeks they insured my home, and have informed me that they will turn it over to a collection agency. Keep in mind that, at the time, my auto policy was still with them, so I was still a "valued customer." Boy, did I feel valued! Please, no one get your insurance with Allstate. It is a decision you will likely regret!

I received a voice mail from a lady in accounting (Baker/Smith, I believe was her last name) & she wanted me to call her back because she had a check for me for $421 to get my car fixed. I called her back the next day & got her voice mail, so I left a message, she never called. I called her everyday/every other day and left my name, why I was calling & number....she never called me back. Then her voice mail was full for over 2 weeks, but I still was trying to get a hold of her. FINALLY her mailbox wasn't full anymore, so I left more messages....after 2 months of doing this & getting no response I went in to my Allstate office, they had no idea what I was talking about, then said the check was cashed....it was NOT cashed, the lady who called me said she had to void it out because it was over 90 days old. After 6 months I still haven't heard from Allstate or got my check to fix my car.

After twenty five with Allstate,I realized that they lie at just about everything. I never received a check for safe driving' but worst of all, they claim that I was canceled when I wasn't. They cashed my check, and then when I made a claim, they said that I wasn't covered. What a bunch of liars. All the way down the line. You know who I'm talking about too don't you Robin. Misquote you, and lie to save your ass. I hope you don't sleep good at night. You cost me thousands of dollars. Funny how this call wasn't recorded wasn't it? Corporate said it was unusual that it wasn't recorded. Very convenient wasn't it. It is a shame we have to deal with people like you. The rich get richer, and the poor get poorer. I'm so sorry that we sent you so much money over the past twenty five years. With everything in me, I will talk you down to every person that I see.

The customer service at the corporate level as well as the Cape May Court House Agency ( NJ ) have much to be desired. Seems as though when a copy of your policy is needed from the previous year they lag in being responsive to see that you get a copy especially when needed. That office needs to get on the ball big time. Corporate offices are the same way. My advice is to keep a prior years copy at all times before destroying anything.

You lie , cheat and steal i hope you burn in hell

I was a loyal customer with Allstate for over 10 years. They came out to inspect the house last spring. I was called and told that I do need a new roof. Living alone an on alimony I had very little money to spare but they said "Weill have to drop you if you do not replace the roof. Shortly after I informed of this I got a call from one of their 800 numbers by a man named Jeremy telling me that "If you do not switch your automobile insurance with us well we will not be able to insure you"! In my book they call that extortion. Like if you went in to a store to buy bread and they told you that you can't by it unless you buy peanut butter as well. I dropped them with the Corrporate office and now I am getting a bill for that month all of this happened. Allstate has turned out to be the worst insurance company ever!!

The Board of Directors secretary was the final person I was able to reach for a claim where I was hired by an Allstate to adjuster to do work and was never paid. Before the conversation ended, this SECRETARY called me a dumb southerner. What professionalism for Allstate! I have lived in Tennessee all of my life, and I have never been called a dumb southerner (not to my face anyway), and the woman refused to apologize. Two months after the incident and after MANY phone calls to offices, I received a call from the Human Resources director apologizing. I want an apology from the president and board of directors, but more importantly, the woman should be made to apologize to me personally. I would never purchase insurance from a company that thinks so little of people in general; I wonder if that is their attitude toward southern insureds?

i have never had insurance of any kind with your company. i was involved in an accident on dec 17, 2007. i was driving a tractor trailer when a lady, donna padgett ran her car into the side of my truck. i was insured. she had no proof of insurance. i stopped working for arrow trucking in june 2008. arrow went out of business in december 2009. the state of arizona, in which arrows insurance companies conduct business filed an injunction with the arizona supreme court saying arrows assets could not be sued. i was an arrow asset and allstate ignored the court order. allstate sued me for the accident. by the way did i mention i was never cited for any wrong doing. i lost my job for a month because when allstate and their attourneys sued me they sent out a court summons to phoenix, az to the wrong person and the wrong apt. they then said i had been served. i didnt know anything about the suit. any way allstate won against me and i did nothing wrong. i lost almost $5,000.00 because of allstate and their greedyness. out of 5 stars to rate allstate i give them no stars. allstate. you suck.

Today (10/19/10) An outside engineering professor, posing as an adjustor, inspected my home and made a report that no Allstate employee will/can overturn. Twenty weeks later have started filing State insurance commissioner/States Attorney/BBB documents. Standard story line went from ground/aging etc to mold/mildew etc. Called in Servpro, they recommended calling in An Enviromental Indoor Engineering/Testing Firm. ** Note to the wise. These Tests and reports are in the Thousands 0f Dollars. We have passed through 18 Weeks, they figure that The reports of unsound structures etc can be ignored because the State Lic. Enviromentalist does not have an engineering degree. Vote with your wallet.

THEY ARE CANCELING MY INSURANCE BECAUSE THEY DIDNOT GET THE 5 YEAR PROOF INSURANCE .I gave them the proof but now they dont want to reinstate my policy it is taken for ever.I think this company is not fair with there customers.

Claims service has been processing/scheduling my roof claim more than 10 weeks. Larger than average snow's, winds exceding 70 MPH and a 4.6 earthquake have visited my house, mayhem has also keep adjustors and insurance contractors away. I have paid the premiums on this policy 28 years. We pay these premiums a year in advance and hear the standard "I dont think thats covered, That wasn't installed properly. No inspector/adjustor arriving at my home has/had or shown a state contractors license. All work done on this house has been done by licensed contractors and the claim is in its 10th week. This kind of service cries for Congresional Oversight or a good Class Action. If we are in good hands we need to have better or best service. Rude dosn't begin to explain the comments.

i now find out that allstate has a limit on auto clams that you can make me and my family went on family trips for the summer of 2010 each time we got hit with hail the 4 time we got hit with hail call and made a clame run in to the same guy not sure what he said but he told me that i had to show proof that i had the work done the guy from irving texas mr johson call me asking me things that he shouldnt ask i plane on fileing a law suite aginst allstate as long as you pay your money there happy you need a clam they have a problem with paying but there going to pay

Three Allstate Inspectors came to my house recentlly at my request to inspect my roof. They said "I" needed a new roof "5 years ago". It has obvious wind and hail damage. The night before the 1st. inspector came I got a call from my adjustor saying I needed to increase my insurance on my sons car insurance. What kind of timing was this? It sounds like fraud to me. I have been with Allstate for over 20 years and can't beleive this kind of thing happened to me.

I just wanted to know how you can you send me a letter stating I have to start finding another Insurance company,Because I failed to fill out a questioner that I never received,just like my Insurance cards didnt come in the mail at times and I had to physically go there to get them I have your Company for many years and now you just decide you dont want Our Business, I have never been in an accident that was Our Fault. I just dont think I should give you an excellent rating because I cant belive your company Would do this to a Long term paying policy Holder I also have a Life INsurance Policy of Which I will be cancelling when you expire my Autos Insurance And I will let the public know How Great AllState is,See For yourself P.S. And If your ever in a No-Fault Accident, They dont pay your Medical bills either of which We pay into for.Whats wrong with this Company??

I was with Allstate for 34 years. I filed a claim due to a water heater breaking and they denide the claim. I the went and cancelled my car insurance with them and got more coverage and half the price from AARP. I have been called a lier by them and more lies have been told to just get out of a 900.00 claim. Do not look for your agent to help because they hide and never will return your call.

My company was involved in a car accident 2009 Nov. As of this date your company has poorly handle a accident where two employee was hospitilzed loss time incme business loss income, truck out of service, 30 days loss truck, truck rental after 15 day loss wage paid to company hired to replace truck out of services and employees. We are a landscaping company out of Greenville, SC 29687 claims number0154157564 agent Walter Jamison Allstate INS , insured Brenda Talley, driver Joshua L Talley. We had to hire an attorney to get our compoany a rental truck. also we have $9,000 to 10,ooo in hosopital bills,Loss wages, Loss incme, contractor hired, exspence GAS,truck and wages, 12 day with out truck loss income(rental) Mr booker Rich Allstate Charoltte NC heads claim investagator.My attorney Guest Can not get them to settle doctor loss wages loss incme ECT Would you please see if you can change investagtor claim agents to where bills and ECT can be paid.
