Twenty Five years with Allstate.I was rear ended in Nov 2011 by two different cars.Reported an accident;did not start a claim.They determined the next day they had no liability.From that point on Allstate has tried to ram stuff down my throat.They decided to total my truck;without even leaving an estimate with the body shop.I refused and was told I would be getting money from the insurance company who covered the other driver.I still refused.Then they sent in THE INFORCER.He raised the payout and lowered th salvage value.Said I could buy my truck back and fix it.They would not insure it.In Feb 2012 I had my truck fixed to pre-accident condition.State Salvage inspector says it is not a salvage truck.Allstate still said it was salvage.Finally I have a lawyer.This is late June.They sent me what they called the "undisputed amount" on my truck.This was the difference between total and salvage.It has been sent back.Now they are saying they are working hard to recover my deductable;even though I have told them to Butt Out.I will not be with them as soon as this is over.I have my own money tied up and Allstate has blocked me from getting it from the responsiable parties.They medical is over $30,000 plus 5,000 to fix my truck.Oh by the way;I was able to fix the truck for less than their estimate.I have saved them over %3000.00 on just that.They are still trying to shove $7700.00 down my throat.Real smart people???
I just had a talk with allstate agent Keith Jackson, here in eldorado, ar. 2010 i was involved in an acc. This person came around a curve on my side.She was driving what looked to be a chevrolet-treverse, not a suburbun what they claim. i have a witness, my son was there he's a auto-mechanic, so he knows what's what.This person comes from a wealthy family. If that tell's you anything.I was told they have plenty attorney's.I cant believe that a reputable company as allstate would employe such people.No way i would recommend allstate to anyone especially if they are poor.
All state is the worst insurance company ever. I dealt with a "new" employee that screwed me over because he did not know what he was doing and since the call was not recorded they said all they can do is apologize to me. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. I do not recommend them!
My mom passed away and she did not have a will call the homeowner's agent and let him know. But i still live in the home. Just recently a tree fell since her name was the only one on the policy . Allstate canceled the policy because they claim it was not a rightful owner. BE aware to get a will ! And by the way the preminums was getting paid on time !!! The agent has not followed up with me at all!!
I've been an Allstate customer for over 12 years and I recently received three letters from Allstate stating that they were going to check my credit for as a company requirement. Incidentally, we have had our home, a rent home and 4 cars insured and never have we been late, houses always paid one year in advance and we do have excellent credit. Three hits on a credit check will go against your credit score at all three credit agencies, regardless of what Allstate tells you. The credit notification had a 800 number to call and the person who answered, said this is Allstate customer service. She was in India and could barely speak English, I hung up and called the corporate headquarters, whose phone number is 847-402-5000. Someone answered and then disconnected the call. Called again, a female answered, with a very poor attitude and passed me on to an executive's secretary. I asked asked for Allstate's credit report (D & B) and she refused. I told her if Allstate can check my credit I should be able to check Allstate's credit. She was nice and told me to call my local agent. End of story and probably end of my doing business with Allstate. P.S. I also inquired about Allstate having India's on their payroll, with so many Americans looking for work and she stated she couldn't answer my question.
I am so fed up with Allstate!!! I submitted a claim May 1st and to today I have not recieved a check for the items that were taken when my house got broken into. I have called the adjuster multiple times and her voicemail box is full. I've called back and spoke to a different rep and she gave me the run around and didn't know what the status of my claim was. I call back the next day and finally was able to leave a message for the adjuster and requested a call back. Again, no call has been returned. I called again the same day and the adjuster was gone for the day and her back up was not able to provide me the status. I am not sure what is going on there with Allstate and what kind of training they provide to their employess, however I cam tell you that their customer service is horrible!!!! I hope everyone goes on these websites and reads all the negative comments and learns from our mistakes to choose another insurance company. You will waste your money with Allstate!!!
It's all about the money - that is going into their pocket. They have no concern for their customers or the service providers like myself. Have been with them over 15 years and took the rate unfriendly calls as well as the "good" calls. Last couple years tow volume has gone down as other service providers underbidding to a ridiculously low rate get the volumne. Service means nothing to them, unfortunately, some of these service providers are as unconcerned with the customer and are all about making the bucks (lower rate = more volume) just like Allstate. Field Rep. is a joke; emails/phone calls are never returned or acknowledged. Dispatchers are more often than not (like 85%) from India or some other foreign country and it's nearly impossible to understand them. Allstate should be called Nostate as they don't deserve to have any business in the U.S.

AFTER 45 YEARS WITH ALLSTATE I WAS RECENTLY TREATED LIKE A NONPERSON IN TRYING TO GET MY AUTO INSURANCE THRU ALLSTATE. I THINK I WENT TO THE WRONG OFFICE LOCATED IN SCOTTSDALE AND MY AGE WAS THE REASON I WAS DROPPED I GUESS THE GOOD HANDS WERE BUSY COUNTING THIER MONEY
my husband had insurance with for a yr, and a half, the advertise, great ads, but is so direspectful, gehtto syyle claims adjuster, treated me with worst disrespect,took three months to settle my claim,and still hadnt sent my chk for medicals,lets keep spreading the word, on their poor service of claims, and they dont desearve a star.
I have had this company since I moved 2 years ago. The payment was done electronically. When I got a extremely inflated bill, I checked to see what was going on. They had dropped my insurance from full coverage and not notified me. The agency is in Washington, Nc Ryan Whitford. I asked to speak to him but he was in a meeting. I said have him call me. I got a call from his wife who in turn tried to get me to go with progressive insurance. It was still very high. I HAVE NOTHING ON MY RECORD AND AM 44 YEARS OLD WITH A 13 YEAR OLD CAR. The first bill was 900 and some dollars, she tried to get it down to 700. I said you must really think I am crazy. I canceled the insurance..(still not canceled by them) by email (4 messages) and also phone calls. I called last week because they had sent my bill to collections. I canceled on time and went with state farm (doing fine so far with them). I called allstate back , asked to speak to Ryan and guess what, you got it he was in a meeting till monday. I have yet to hear from him or the corporate office. His wife said my insurance had went up when I changed cars, I have had the same car for 8 years. There is more to this but if this isn't enough without petty fighting in between trying to pay my bill in another agency and they got in a fight on the phone. UUUggg, I will never go with them again and I hope to get this fixed.
HORRIBLE HORRIBLE company! people on here that say its easy and cheap obviously haven't had a cancelled policy or and accident. They also delayed on my sister's accident when it wasnt even her fault. I felt pretty guilty cause i had talked her into getting this crap insurance company. They automatically debited my renewal when i specifically explained to them that i was always on a "one time payment" method. CS reps are nice but sometimes have no idea what they are talking about. People are right, they are nothing but scammers and liars.!! Young drivers stay away. They'll try and say you have an outstanding balance due after your policy is already cancelled. hmmm...if you werent covered when it was cancelled then what is the billing for?????
I too switched my car and homeowners insurance to Allstate and I am so sorry I did! After I paid my whole years premium for my home insurance I got a letter saying there was something wrong with the shingles on my roof. I called my agent and told him about the letter and I had the repairs done but I guess not to their satisfaction so I got a cancellation letter one day and a refund check the next. I get no help from the agent and he doesn't return my calls or e-mails! I would not reccommend this company to anyone and you are not "in the good hands of Allstate" as they say in their ad campaign!!!
Car wreck with 2,500 personal injury coverage. They said I had 3 years to use the money. I used about 680 and then got really sick and unable to go to therapy. Rep in claims said 'don't worry you have 3 years to use the money'. When I went back to therapy and turned in the claim it was denied because of the 'gap' the rep said, but when I got the denial the letter said needed letter of medical necessity from my doctor. When I sent that in got a rejection saying 'treatment was for another condition'. Even though they began treatment now they say I and my doctor are lying. I called the claims rep and she refused to take my call and refused to call me back. I called her supervisor and he refused to call me back. I called my agent 3 times and he begged them to call me. Finally after 2 weeks the supervisor called me back. He kept saying it was the 'gap' in treatment but that was never a reason for the denial. It's only about 1,600 which is nothing to them and everything to me. My premiums every year are 2,500 for one car and small home. I drive 600 miles per month at most. I've been with them for 12 years. One year my home owners premium doubled. I told the supervisor I could get notes from the therapist and he said to send it in. I did that and it's been about 8 days ago and no contact from him yet. I have paid higher premiums to Allstate for years so that if I had a claim it would be paid without hassle. WRONG. All these comments here are so true. They don't care how loyal a person is or how much they are paid in premiums. They are the biggest insurance company now even beating out State Farm. State Farm's premiums on home owners is 500 less per year. I have suffered so much over this claim. I feel traumatized. If everyone took them to small claims court it might help. Hard to know if it would change them or not and who wants to go through that. That's what they count on that people will give up. Flood the CEO's office with mail. When our house was burned down by some thieves and druggies that I ran out of the area. The treatment from Allstate was disgusting. I am a fighter though. They tried to deny rental housing an low balled the repair job. They offered about 135K and made us fight from there. Eventually we won housing for a year and eventually went to arbitration and in minutes won 247K. How could a professional company with all the nice slogans miss that badly? They are crooked that's the only how about it. We now live in our rebuilt house in peace. Druggies gone. Allstate whipped. Don't give up...don't settle. Don't be weak.
I just signed up with Allstate. My roof passed my personal inspection report. Allstate just called me to tell me that they think my roof needs to be replaced. They are giving me two weeks to repair my roof or they are dropping my policy. This is the worst company EVER.
Don't believe that loyalty BS that they speak of,after being a provider for over 15 yrs.they dropped us like a cheap suit claiming that some one else was picked by the computer as a cheaper provider.Remember you get what you pay for.They farm out their dispatch services over sea's to India so you can't even understand them,and they have no clue as to whats going on.You want Americans to buy your Insurance employ Americans to work for you.I have been told now for three months that someone will get back to me,you can't reach the National Field Rep,If there is one,just people who pass you around.Have you ever waited too long for service?I'll bet you it was a screw up in the Dispatch not the service provider.Top Ten my Butt,It's the service providers that made them that way not the other way around.
Our homeowners policy with Allstate has gone up in price (with no notable changes in coverage) from $811 in 2010 to $l,017 in 2011. We griped about it and they lowered it to $784. This year it went up to $922. Just got a quote from Mercury and it is $676. Same and/or better coverage too. Guess we will be changing companies!
Been with Allstate for about 30 years now. They are now sending undewriters to inspect the outside of your house for homeowners insurance every few years. Basically they want to check your roof. If your roof has a chance of leaking (mine hasnt) they will give you a few months to replace the roof or they will cancel the policy. They have changed and I'm to do the same with my 2 cars and homeowners policy! Not a smart business move Allstate.
One more thing, isn't is amazing, not many satisfied customers writing reviews. Imagine that!
