I wouldn't even give them a star if it were possible. My spouse & I have had them for our homeowners ins. Almost 3 years now our house burnt down almost a year ago in the middle of the night while we were sleeping. Fire dept said if we woke up a min later we would not have made it out alive. Needless to say we watched our entire life burn down in front of us & the first thing they did was acuse us of starting it. K9s were sent in no accelerator was found but that's not enough instead of handling the claim there waiting & determined to find a way to pin this on us.I know there are messed up people who do that thing but we were half naked standing in the street in the middle of the night..oh yea with our 1 yr old at the time i am also pregnant . This whole experience has been a horrible horrible horror story we are now living in a rental house & still waiting for our check from them to fix our house meanwhile our lease is almost up we will not have anywhere to live in 2 weeks & they will not return our nor our lawyers phone calls. I can not wait to drop these pathetic people this is by far the worst experience I've ever had with an ins. Company! Allstate Sucks & I would most definitely not recommend them to anyone!! Wish there was more I could do to speed this process along...
I HAVE BEEN WITH ALLSTATE SINCE MY FIRST CAR IN 1987 AND SINCE THEN PLACE MY HOME UNDER THEIR CARE THE LAST 17 YEARS. THE LAST 2 YEARS BEEN TRYING HAVE MY ROOF REPLACE BECAUSE LEAK IN THE KITCHEN, THEY TOLD ME TO REPLACE THE BOOTS AND I DONE AS TOLD. THE LEAK REMAIN IN THE KITCHEN AND NOW I HAVE WIND AND HAIL DAMAGE. NOW THEY ONLY WANT TO REPLACE THE UPPER ROOF AND 100 SQ FEET ON THE FRONT OF THE MAIN FLOOR NOT THE WHOLE ROOF. I CONTACTED THE INSURANCE COMMISSIONERS AND THEY CONTACTED ALLSTATE. THEIE RESPONSE WAS "I HAD ALREADY FILED A CLAIM FOR THE KITCHEN AND DIDN'T TAKE CARE OF IT" AS IF THEY PAID ME FOR CLAIM AND I FAIL TO TAKE CARE OF IT. THE AJUSTED STATED ON JANUARY 30, THAT IF I WOULDN'T HAD SOMEONE FROM A CONTRATOR COMPANY, I WOULDN'T HAVE GOTTEN ANYTHING. I ATTEMPT TO CONTACT ADJUSTER MANAGER BUT THEY NEVER CALL ME BACK. I WANTED TO KNOW WAS A CLAIN OUT TO ME PRIOR TO THIS IN JANUARY 2012 BECAUSE I NEVER RECEIVED ANYTHING FROM ALLSTATE. MAYBE THE MONEY WENT IN SOMEONES POCKET AND NOT MINE. I STILL HAVE THE CHECK BECAUSE I CANT FIND A ROOFER AND THE AMOUNT IS NOT EVEN HALF ON THE PRICE QUOTED TO ME TO RPLACE THE ROOF. I ALSO BELIEVE GENDER PLACE A PART IN SERVICES I RECEIVED.
PLEASSAVE YOURSELF FROM THE HEADACHE OF DEALING WITH THIS PATHETIC COMPANY. LET US SPREAD THE WORD SO THAT OUR FRIENDS, FAMILY, COWORKERS COULD HEED OUR WARNINGS AND CANCEL OR STAY AWAY WITH THIS POOR EXCUSE OF A BUSINESS. i HAD FILED A CLAIM 2 MONTHS AGO THAT HASSTILL NOT BEEN SETTLED. I INTEND TO FIGHT TO THE BITTER END. THEY ARE THIEVES, DO NOT WANT TO PAY CLAIMS, SHADY BUSINESS DEALS, MANAGERS WHO DO NOT CARE, NO MATTER HOW, WHAT YOU COMPLAIN ABOUT. I would love to speak to someone who can help me with my Allstate agent. I have water damage in my garage due to a water heater bursting in the condo directly above my garage. The tenants there don't want to talk to me so I reported this to my Allstate Agent on Feb. 8th or 9th and he has not taken action. He has me getting quotes for repairs and actually told me that if the people downstairs and their insurance company don't want to take responsibility, I will be pretty much screwed. I have called him again and again and he will not return my calls. I have been with Allstate and him, Edgar Jackson, for over 25 years and he is not doing a thing to help me. What is my recourse here? Can and will anyone help me?
After more than 20 years as a client and having had minimal claims, All State informed me on Feb.14 that my home insurance (due Feb,21)would not be renewed unless I agreed to "bundle" - meaning I must also take out auto insurance with them. When I told the agent I had stopped driving four years ago when I turned 80 and therefore no longer own a car, he said sorry, All State's policy is no bundling- no renewal. Way to go, All State - In spite of your lousy consumer relations,you've done me a favor. I now have a policy with an insurer who is providing me with better coverage at a much better price.
My husband an I have had Allstate for over 32 years, We ere being over charged and changed our policy with them 3 years ago. Come to find out the policy does not cover uninsured and ubder insured motorists,nor does it cover rental car the price is over 90 dollars a month, I can get better coverage somwhere else. When we talked to our agent he told us we do not need any of these policies because we have our own medical insurance. We then asked how he knows we have medical insurance, no answer to that. I believe Allstate is taking advantage of there customers and would like to talk to someone in the corporate office. Right now the plan is to drop Allstate, and I'm sure they don't care.Hopfully many more will follow.
worst company to tow for ,complete nightmare , they want the world from you , but when 1 thing like a question answered it takes 20 phone calls and 2 weeks to get the answer
through the black man that say allstate will send you a check 2 times a year!!!! wrongggggggggggggg!!!!!! they put it in there pocket. i have had allstate for awhole lot of years, and i'm ready to fine me someone else.. good luck to everyone that has allstate. (leave them)
When I received my auto policy renewal in June of 2011 , there was an increase in my premium , so I contacted my agent to discuss my concerns; 1) the increase : I drive a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 180,000 + miles.I'am retired & drive less then 3,000 miles a year , & my premium is $1,427.92 every 6 months less , so called discounts of $546.99 . lowering the premium to $880.00. NOTE: I HAVE BEEN WITH ALLSTATE FOR OVER 35 YRS, NO ACCIDENTS,CLEAN DRIVING RECORD, NO CLAIMS , AND I HAVE PAID OVER $250,000.00 IN PREMIUMS. I HAVE NOT COST ALLSTATE ONE PENNEY...... 2) ALLSTATE loyalty : WHAT LOYALTY HAS ALLSTATE GIVEN TO ME ? 3) REBATE CHECKS & 45% DISCOUNT . When I talked to my (agent at that time SHARON LEPERE ) she could no answer my concerns & would contact her AREA MANAGER (JUSTIN) & CALL MY BACK . After 30 days had passed with no call , I called Sharon , she stated that she was meeting with (Justin the area manager the next day and would contact me after her meeting , she did , put me on a 3way with Justin , I addressed my concerns to him , and he was very short with his answers and I asked him to put them in writing and send me a copy. HE REFUSED TO PUT IN WRITING HIS ANSWERS ,What does that tell you ? I asked to please give me a number of a person , not a voice , that I could talk to about this , well its been 7 months no one has called me , but ,my next renewal has arrived and again my premium has going up another $40.00 every 6 mo's ,again i called my agent , this time i talked to (RUSTY) , i COULD HAVE GOT BETTER ANSWERS IF I TALKED TO A BOX OF ROCKS ... BECAUSE ALLSTATE & THE AGENT COULD CARE LESS ABOUT ME AS A LOYAL CUSTOMER THAT THEY HAVE FOREST ME TO DROP ALLSTATE , AND I KNOW THIS IS WHAT THEY WANTED ME TO DO , THERE CUSTOMER SERVICE , AGENTS, AND MANAGERS ARE THE WORST , IF THEY TREAT A CUSTOMER THIS WAY AFTER 35YRS OF LOYALTY TO THEM , THEY PREACH LOYALTY IN THERE ADDS AND ON TV , THEY DON'T NO WHAT THE WORD MEANS .
All I did was request a qoute on line. It wasn't even Allstate's website, just a generic website for multiple insurance quotes. When I didn't reply immediately to Allstate's quotes I recieved via email, the emails began to become rude instructing me to contact them immediately. Then to top that off, I recieved a notice they had initiated a credit history check without my consent!!! When I contacted the Corporate office, they informed me they would not stop the history check!!! So glad I didn't make the mistake of switching to these loosers!!!!
Worst company on the face on the earth! GHETTO INSURANCE!! Their reps are unprofessional and RUDE!!! They will lie, cheat, and scam their way out of paying a claim!! My mom and I spent almost an hour on the phone listening to their lies! I can't say the reps name but I promise that I will take this all the way the top!
Actually, my husband and I are not Allstate customers. We've just been turned over to collections by them. My husband has the same 1st and last name as another guy who actually had a wreck with their customer. When we were first called about the accident, I explained that my hubby's name is close to the other dude and thought the agent understood. Then we receive a letter saying we've been turned over to a collections agency and they have some personal info of my husbands. We obtained the police report ourselves and the middle initial is different, the address is close but different, the guy's date of birth is totally different, driver's liciense number is different, but we were told we had to prove it was not my husband or we were responsible for several thousand dollars. How much more info than the police report can you need? Called them back and they told me they didn't know if there was a police report. Uhhh, I have a copy, I know there's a report to clear my husband's name. This has been a nightmare for our family. Just want it solved. Don't understand how they could've come after my husband without being sure it was even him involved. Case of mistaken identity, but how'd they get my husband's birth date.
I have had Allstate for 23 of my 24 years driving. I have no tickets, accidents, marks of any kind on my driving record in 21 years. Over this time I have had rental insurance policies with them and since buyng my home have had my homeowners there for over 2 years now. My homeowners has gone up both years since inception, yet they denied a claim on the house due to shoddy workmanship...the area they were referring to was part of an addition...added in 1956!! It somehow lasted 56 years...but according to Allstate incorrect construction techniques were used and that is an automatic disqualifier. Then last week, I found my car insurance policy had been cancelled for non-payment....13 days after that payment had been transferred directly from my checking account. After 4 days of phone calls I was finally able to discover that although they took the money, they were not re-issuing the auto insurance (my 19 year old son AND his vehicle are also on my policy). They claimed there was an UNPAID BALANCE ON 2 BILLS FROM 12 YEARS AGO. The amount??? $16.15!!!!! I looked into the policy numbers they claim the charges were from and discovered they were not even my policies, but those of my ex-wife who I divorced 13 years ago! They acknowledged it wasn't my debt while I was on the phone with them today...YET TOLD ME THAT BECAUSE IT "APPEARS ON MY PROFILE" I HAD TO PAY IT TO GET MY INSURANCE RE-INSTATED!! Think about that!! I had to pay someone else's bill (which they acknowledge it isn't my debt)to get my insurance reinstated?????!!!!! That is extortion! That is blackmail! Needless to say...I paid the friggin $16.15 so mine and my son's vehicles would again be legal but, regardless of the small amount of the extortion, I WILL pursue this as far as possible!!
This company needs to be out of business. I own I highly modified g37 with carbon fiber hood, front bumper, side rocker panels,rear diffuser. After meeting with the adjuster, he saw all the upgrades & then tells me it is not likley to pay for theese parts. They are not oem. Nothing but stall tactics, delays & poor excusses. Had to take them to court. They seen the crappy adjuster/high price attorney, guess what they lost. Such a good feeling to see the adjuster squirm when judge asked about delays. How pathetic, using the adjuster & attorney. Allstate case was so weak, judge saw right through thoose dishonest pricks. Allstate, I told you I wasn't letting you get away with this. Taken down by a former customers. SUCKERS, THEY DON'T LIKE IT WHEN THE TRUTH COMES OUT.
After filing a claim with Allstate on our Homeowners policy, we turned in bids as requested and the adjuster told us we could just deal with it. Very rude. Uncalled for behavior. The lowest bid barely covered the expenses of the remoldeling. We understand about the deductible and discounts but not the RUDE behavior of the adjuster.
i agree that this is a very poor company, i called to have this insurance turned off because i had no need to have it on the car that i had been driveing. i then received a letter saying i owed a bill that was gonna go against my credit. when i called to ask about it i was told off a few time by an agent that was very rude. she said there was no record that i had called and if i did not pay the bill it would very well go against my credit. i think this is very wrong concidering i was getting a new car and was going to go through them but not now. i will make sure that i tell all of my friends and family not to go through them for anything at all. i will make sure to give a bad word to everyone that i know. oh an also i never received any check for no tickets or wrecks and had them for almost 2 years . they lie.
state farm is so much better, my price actually was going down every once in a while with this company my rate kept going up for odd reasons. this is just a very bad company . they do not care if u reccomend them or not do not care if u are a loyal customer. i just see no reason to go with them. they are not cheap, fast, good, the customer service is awful. goodness i was just surprized, are u in good hands??? ha as long as your not going through allstate .
Had an experience with Allstate over the past two months, I made the mistake of allowing an agent to quote a price. The price was 50% higher than the other prices I received from competitors, so I declined the offer. A short time later I received in the mail a form to fill out with personal information which I threw in the trash. A month later I received a letter stating that after reviewing some fictitious information that the corporation had decided that it could not provide me with insurance. The letter referred me to a LEXUS NEXUS CORPORATION which is an agency that collects information about potential and current customers. When I called ALLSTATE to tell them of their defective process I was told that it was perfectly fine and I was told that there was no other telephone number to call. After looking up the corporate office number 847-402-5000 and calling it I asked again to talk with a corporate officer. I ended up with the assistant because at ALLSTATE it is their policy that they do not speak with mere customers. These people must believe that their corporate profits come from other than those CUSTOMERS.
***ATTENTION*** Anyone thinking about using ALLSTATE!!! DON'T, let me tell you why!! We were with them for 4 years and our policy just went up and all the safe drivers rewards we had recieved are gone!! We have not had ANY claims and this is how they treat their safe driving customers!! And that is just the begining!! We decided to change companies after finding this out!! We called and talked with a representative to cancell our policy a couple weeks before our policy was due to renew!! After finding a new company with better coverage and prices! They still took the money from our checking account!! This being a few days before Thansgiving, and them not stopping this from going through after my husband has called and spoke to a few different people with this company!! There is "NOTHING THEY CAN DO" is what he has heard over and over!!! I am merely posting this to save anyone else from having to deal with this, imagine our stress right now!! DO YOU WANT TO BE THE NEXT VICTIM!!! I WOULD THINK NOT!!!! AND VICTIM WE ARE!!! THEY HAVE STOLE FROM OUR ACCOUNT, AS THEY WERE NO LONGER OUR INSURANCE COMPANY!! AND THEY HAVE NO PLANS ON HELPING US IN ANY WAY!!!! THAT IS STEALING!!
I have my homeowners policy with Allstate, and they have been hounding me for years to switch my auto policy to them and save 25%. I finally tried to do that today, and they REJECTED ME BECAUSE I AM NOT MARRIED!!!! I am a 47-year old female with excellent credit and a clean accident history. The agent on the phone told me that Allstate is a FAMILY company who prefers to insure FAMILIES with multiple cars. Sounds like discrimination to me. Disgusting.
