SO SERVICE ISNT YOUR BEST PART THEN.you might wanna come up with another motto then, AND YOUR BEST PART ISNT YOUR PEOPLE EITHER. TRY AGAIN. YOUR DISTRIC STORE AND ASSISTANT MANAGERS SUCK AT THEIR JOBS AT LEAST IN THE STARK COUNTY OHIO AERA ANYWAYS.
i work for them and i was told the silver 2 year battries are no longer gonna have a 72 month proation any more. instead they want to force you to buy the three year gold then you get a proation with that one. pretty shady dont you think? and their battries are over priced as well. they have battries as high as 120.00. and the optimas are 160.00 to over 230.00 not worth it. greedy greedy. aslo if you call corporate they connect you to hotchie form iraq or some other thrid world country. but he goes buy the name bob or at least that is what corporate tells them to do.this isnt right but so many people cant see this apparently. they got new managers and assistant managers that are dumb they havent been there that long so they dont have a clue of what parts they used to sell and they dont wanna warranty the parts rhe customers have bought and these warrantys are lifetime warrantys.also limited lifetime warrantys rhere is a catch there keep your recipt oh wait it fades away after time so make a copy of it cause if they cant read it they wont warranty it.to the earlier statement above ive been employed there longer than my manager and assistant manager put together.they might have four years between the two of them i got almost 5 years myself. go figure.
I had to replace my altenator three times. the delivery service was poor. i will never buy from them again.
it looks like advance is going out of business, I look for brake parts for a 1950 Ford The website says not available. I look under 1969 F150, there they are! SAME PARTS!! The website sucks!
My sixteen year old son needed a headlight for his car. I told him to go to the Advance Auto Parts on Main Street in Trussville Alabama. I instructed him to go to the parts counter give them the make mode and year of his car and they would look up the proper lamp for his car. This is exactly what he did. They gave him the wrong lamp. When he went back the employee first told him he should not have opened the package, he said he did not realize that it was the wrong lamp until after he had opened it. Then they made him repeat the make model and year of the vehicle four times. He had brought in the proper lamp to ensure he obtained the correct lamp on the second trip, the employee stated this tells me nothing, and my son explained that the information he had already provided did. Finally the employee looked up the lamp and stated he did not have one in stock. There was no offer of a store credit or refund. I can assure you my family will NOT be doing business with Advance Auto Parts in the future this is a poor example of customer service.
I went into there store in Baltimore the north point store I as a women who del for an auto parts store went in the store because our store could not help. So any way I guess me being a women the to men at the counter were very rude and really did want to here a thing I said never lest to wait on me . Not a auto part store for women . You will walk out of the store or maybe all the stores so mad .
There was and older man name richie on the shirt he was wearing the man went of his way to repair my rear lights. So me and my 2 little sons would. Not get hit in the rear I think for some one to go out of his way after he said that he just clock out of work but he repair the van for me. Means a lot to me I was coming in from Florida and got pull over in new York on Long island in valley stream I would really hope he get some thing for what he has done Thank you Lisa terry
i have a mazda b2500, i had 3 rack and pinion units that all failed,the last one they just told me,your going through them for a reason,i said to them that the first one the main seal blow out at steering shaft,the second from the rubber boots on idler arms broke off and allowed dirt in them, i have also went through several of there parts,rotors drums etc and they all failed,worped within a year or so.the store i was dealing with the people are rude and the service sucks.it was in granger indiana,my advice get the good stuff NAPA AUTO parts.there parts are made in america vs china indonesia etc.
Staff at Store #6305 in Berlin, MD. Recently my husband and I found ourselves stranded on our last day of vacation with a dead battery in Ocean City. Of course, it was after 6 PM and service stations had closed for the day. We were due to check out at 10 AM the following morning for our 3 hour journey home. After many phone calls, we found the Advance Auto Parts in Berlin, MD. I called them several times to ask about batteries, prices, how late they were open, and how far they were from the 50 bridge. Each time I was greeted on the phone by a very pleasant voice of a young man named Joe & on one occasion by a young woman named Jen. We eventually got a jump start and drove to Berlin to purchase a battery. Joe & Jen personally checked our vehicle to be sure to give us the correct battery. Joe even removed the old one and installed the new one with a smile! They quickly resolved our desperate situation and allowed us to get back to our vacation. It is refreshing to see that you can still find good customer service. Thank you Joe & Jen!
I am writing this review to let you know about a wonderful experience I just had at one of your stores. I had just gotten finished at my sons football practice when I realized my battery was dead. After getting a jump, I headed immediately to your store at 5645 Virginia Beach Blvd in Virginia Beach. I walked in the door at 8:58, feeling terrible because you close at 9:00. Gene and Bobby were working. I informed them of what had happened, and that I needed to buy a battery and have it installed. I have an '05 Chevy equinox, and I know that they can be problematic when you have to replace or fix certain parts, but they told me it wouldn't be a problem at all. One of the gentleman rang me up inside, while the other replaced the battery. Both gentleman were extremely nice, and very efficient. Not once did I feel that they were inconvenienced by my coming in so close to closing. They had me in and out in 15 minutes. I felt it was important to let you know about such great customer service. I am now an advanced auto parts customer for life. Thanks again.
My daughter came in to buy a battery for her job and loaded it in her car on the back seat. Well, now she has no back seat. Battery acid leaked all over and ate it. There is no warning label on the battery about it having to stay level and whoever sold it to her assumed she would know to keep it level. Guess what? 20 year old girls and most women I know wouldn't have a clue.She was told to pick up a battery for work, that's what she did. No MAN informed her of the acid that is in these batteries and the potential harm it can do. Thanks for ruining her day, and her backseat. Really bad that it was a company vehicle and she has to pay to repair it herself. A little more warning could have prevented this.
I tried to shop at the Harriman Tennessee Advanced Auto but with their lack of customer service and total customer disrespect I will never shop there again. I live 25 Miles away from the harriman TN 37748 advanced auto parts and 3 times i called them for parts and they stated they had the part. I drove the 25 miles to pick up the part and they didn't have it at all. Today 11 September 2012 I called and the same thing happened. I called for a firebird rotor and they said it was in stock. I told them to put it on hold and I will be there in a couple hours to pic it up. Well they had swapped the rotor to another customer and left me empty handed again. The kicker is the emplyee tried to sell me the old worn out rotor. If i didn't have the common sense to open the cover I would have bought it. Please don't shop at this store I have never seen so much un-professionalism and customer disrespect in my life. Hopefully they will have to close it soon.
i dont normally shop at advance becus of all the complaints i hear about the store in chatham,Va.. Sunday 9/9/12 had to have some wind shield wiper blades.Stop in and got some blades,then when alice cooper was putting them on for me,he keep getting his hair caughtup in them!WTF? what ever happened to a dress code and clean,nice,well trimmed appearance?But i guess sence they are rep.advance auto parts,it don,t matter how they look.Plus he begged for a tip,so i gave him one! GET A HAIR CUT. next time i will just wait till monday when fisher is open.
i have a new store in my neighborhood, less than a mile. i gone there a few times, never again. i own 10 vehicles, thought it would be good for me, ha ha ha. when i call on the telephone, all i get is promps and a long wait before i get an associate. when i call auto zone, i get someone rite away. auto zone is ten miles from my home, its worth the drive to get better service. prices are comparitable. i dont need the polaga, and the incompatance that u offer, and by reading the reviews about your company i see that there are many people that fell the same way i do.u really need to shake up your house of corporate incompatance.keep up the crappy way you do business.

Two problems at your West Main Street store in Waterbury, CT. 1. I called yesterday for a wedge seat. Was told that it was available. Went I went today, the "help" spoke almost no English and wandered around the store looking for who knows. I asked for the manager who came back into the store after a few minutes. He looked at me as I had flown in from Mars. 2. Never again will I bother going into this disgraceful business. I cannot help it if I am a woman . Remember 40% of all new cars are being bought by women. Might be an idea to train the help to be attentive to requests made by a female because there will be more. Conveniently Auto Zone is across the street from your West main Street store. It would be nice if someone spoke a fair amount of English. The phone rang two different times and was never answered.
I can see by reading this page i,m not the only one disappointed in your chatham store. I don,t really know where to begin about my visit, I,ll just say that i won,t ever visit that store again.
i live in gretna va. and on monday 27,2012 was trying to cross the street when your truck blasted though intersection at about 2 oclock. the driver first flipped a cigarette at me then gigged me.WTF. If i coulda got my hands on her i woulda rung that FAT whiteneck. she was blonde headed and blood red face.will never forget that face,and hope i see it again.
Hello I had to order a part on my car that i needed for i had a chemo appointment coming up in two days they told me they guaranteed the part would be in the next day well the next day came and no part than they said it would not be in until the day of my chemo that is not going to work for i had no car to get to the appointment i mean if they say GUARANTEED it means its going to be there correct? Very disappointed with Advance Auto in Mexico Maine
