DSL & UVerse
Beware! If you have the DSL Line from AT&T and are thinking of switching to UVerse Internet. Sales persons will inform you that you have a grace period of 30 Days to switch back to your original services (Phone and or DSL) if you do not wish to continue UVerse. The sales people are uninformed that once you have disconnected your original DSL for UVerse, it will not be reconnected due to some inhouse decision by AT&T and UVerse. At lease that is what is happening in West Tennessee. The battle is still going on to get the reconnection. Just have to find the correct person to authorize it. Not a good way to please customers. AT&T has always been straight with me. I beleive that this problem just has not reached high enough into Corporate Headquarters.
Poor Customer service
I have never used anyone except ATT for my mobile phone service. I have been a customer for over 13yrs and over the past few years, ATT customer service has become almost none exsistant. I have decided ATT just doesn't care. No since in me complaining.
Misleading
I find it very dishonest not to inform your customers that when applying for U-verse Internet or TV, that a credit check will be conducted and in turn, lie about it. First they tell you that there will only be a minimum amount charged which will placed on your first months bill and once they complete that application, they ask you to put it on your credit or debit card or have the payments automatically drafted from your accounts. I've been with your guys for over 7 years and have always paid my bills in full via payment centers. Inquiries also affect your credit ratings and to lie to consumers and say that you did not run a credit check and the next week, you receive a statement in the mail from Equifax stating that you did do so. I'm seriously considering contacting the FTC and the attorney general's office in my state to file a complaint. That is dishonest and unethical....
AT $ T Shocking CS
I have been a customer with AT &T for 8 years on wireless with 4 lines, and landline 20 years (+), for a total of 28 years and 5 lines. Both of my parents worked for the company until retirement. I am shocked at what this company has become. I waited on the phone for 5 hours and 26 minutes straight yesterday alone. I was disconnected and hung-up on 13 times and transferred over 24 times. I have spoken to 28 CS people including & "managers", none of whom were able to understand troubleshooting or basic concepts. My issue remains not only unresolved, but entirely unaddressed. Did this company change a policy as of January 1? There are no real managers or supervisors availble, also they refuse to transfer back to the US, they are entirely out-of-country connections. I am stunned by the service and it is completely unacceptable. I will be looking elsewhere for service effective immediately.
Landline
We have been trying for a week to transfer our old phone number back to AT&T with no luck. Everyone we talk to says that it is being done, but it doesn't get done. They gave us a new number, but not our old one after a week...does no one know how to fix the problem. It took Verizon 2 days to take the number and unfortunately their system would not work in our house. The wait to speak to someone can be 30 minutes and then u a r passed from one dept to another. I would be ashamed to be president of this company and know how poorly the company is thought of.
Not there for you ...
We have had AT&T Uverse servrice several years but It has never been without issues . Would change in a heart beat if there were another option in the area . We recently lost service Christmas Eve due to a downed line in the area . Notified AT&T several times but it was not until December 27 that they finally sent an outside line repair crew to investigate an repair it In total we have been without any cable , internet or telephone service for 7 days during the past month and a half . I don't think AT&T is interested in taking care of their customers , only posting the biggest profit possible to their sharholders . Would reccommend finding another company if you have that option.
AT&T Sucks!!!!
I am going looking fowad to cancelling my cell phone account with AT&T. I would rather pay the early cancellation fee than deal with them any longer. They are the worst company I have ever dealt with. They nickle and dime you for EVERTHING!!!! They are dishonest. When the phone reps would rather not speak to you or they are transferring you , they conveniently disconnect you. I hate this company with a fervor!!
terrible
this company will lie, take your money, change your contract without your knowledge and still charge you because you can't 'prove' it was their mistake. it will take you days to even reach someone who can intelligently talk about your issue and even then, you won't get any assistance. i would use this company again if all their services were free.
Your Commercials
OMG!!! Your ads with the little kids are the most obnoxious on TV! The kids are precocious, annoying and just terrible. While I have my cell through you all, it wouldn't take much to convince me to change to a company without the awful commercials. And I have been kidded by friends over these commercials and the fact that I have your system. I also have four friends SO FAR who have changed their service because of your dumb commercials. May not be a good reason but the facts are it's happening. Please, please find a different way to advertise what I think is a great product.
Congressional Inquiry
Have had AT&T for many years now. Changed to frontier for landline but kept AT&T for cell. Upgraded to new phone Oct24,2012. New Galaxy Exhilirate arrived and did not work out of the box. After 3 AT&T stores, hours on phone and many miles driven, they agreed to supply replacemnet but Exhilirate no longer available.Supplied me with Samsung Galaxy S II which has had 2 SIM cards changes and now no longer accepts incoming e-mail or a memory card. This is as of date 29 Dec 2012. 3 AT&T stores later, hours on phone and many miles driven, I come to find out that the Galaxy replacemnt phone was not new, as I had originally contracted for but a refurbished unit based on the serial number. AT&T is replacing this unit with another refurbished unit based on their contract with Samsung, which is not who I signed up with or entered into a contract with. Thus, Rep. David McKinley will receive a written request that he start a congressional inquiry into this decpetive business practice. Mind you, where I live in Wheeling, WV not one carrier has better service or rates, so it is the lesser of all evils that I stay with AT&T but since I also know firsthand how they staff and run their call center located here, I can totally understand how poorly this company treats its customers, simply based on that knowledge and their treatment of me as a long-standing customer. Worst business service ever
I have been a personal AT&T customer for 15 years ,since they were bellsouth and recently I have tried getting an isdn line connection for almost 4 weeks. Every rep. I spoke with wth the exception of 2 led me on a goose chase, gave me disconnected nbers etc. I have never in my years experienced such a run around. I am not only going to switch my home service, but my wIreless service as well. Then to make matters worse, the last 2 reps basically tried to blow me off and told me that they really didn't want me to explain my issue bc they did not directly deal with isdn connections and didn't want me to have to repeat myself. I am furious and don't recommend AT&T to anyone. I spent. 5,000 on a radio remote for new years which now will not be operable due to the unprofessionalism and inconsistency of at&t and its staff. I hope others DoNot go thru this. And as an extra issue, most nbers listed on line are all incorrect, I don't even know I'd this review will be read.
Fraudulently took $ from my checking account that is linked to my ATT account
Bottom, line is that while purchasing a new IPhone last night, ATT Rep at the Rockingham Mall in NH charged my (linked) checking account $210 without my knowledge or authorization. When it was noticed (today) on my checking account, I called ATT and was transferred to "SEVERAL" different people who outright refused to rectify the situation !!!! I have been with ATT for over a decade and I am appalled that they would do nothing !!! I will be going to Verizon very soon !

AT&T is the WORST company to go to!!! If you want 2 years of high priced service that runs worst then a no contract phone this is the company to go with!!!!! And the customer care teams might as well be ran by inmates!!! Atleast that would explain the attitude that you recieve when calling. If i want service to work correctly i have to go find a place that gets the bars.... As far as dependable you may want to text the people you want to talk to a couple days early because it is so sluglish!!!! If you want a two contract go with sprint or verizon! You pay more for verizon but AT&T is high priced with a pay as you go service!!!! AVOID THIS COMPANY P.s. This got one star because i couldnt submit without any!!! They need negative stars!!!
ATT@T IS THE WORST COMPANY EVER SO MUCH FOR THEIR LOYALTY FOR THEIR CUSTOMER. I SPOKE WITH A REP FROM ATT& T AND RECIEVED A TEXT MESSAGE WITH THIER CONFIRMATION AND THEIR USER ID TO MAKE A PAYMENT ARRANGEMENT OF THE 14TH CAME TO FIND OUT DUE TO TEH REP NOT WRITE THE AGREEMENT DOWN ATT& SHUT MY PHONE OFF. I EXPLAIN TO THE GENERAL MANAGER THE SITUATION AND ALL THEY HAD TO SAY WAS THAT IT WAS NOT WRITTEN DOWN AND THEIR IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO.WROTE A LETTER TO COORPATE AND ALLTHEY HAVE TO SAY THAT IS POLICY. SO GUESS WHAT ATT&T WILL NOT LONGER HAVE MY SERVICE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCE@!!!!!!!!!
Dont waste your time
I have had service with at&t for about 4 years now and I wish I had never given them one cent. My Service went out on Sunday November 25th. They promised to send a technician to the house the next day and he came. He informed me that he needed an outside technician to service the job. The he came on Tuesday and could not get in the service box because of a dog in the backyard of my neighbors. For the next five days, all they did was keep my account on hold because of the dog. I however spoke with the homeowner and the dog has been inside the house for the past week. I called customer service each of the five days to schedule an appointment. I took off everyday for a technician that never showed up. Each day I would get excuses like there's a shortage of technicians in my area or the best lie, all the techs have gone home for the day, and despite it being 5:20pm and my appointment was between 4-8pm. I'm now sitting here with still no service and not a care by customer service to resolve this issue. They don't care about you because if they did, I still wouldn't be sitting here without service two weeks later. If you're thinking about getting them, don't do it. Pay for cable with people who actually care.

At&T has caused more anguish in the last two years than in the 35 years that we have had AT&T. They are charging me 618$ for a land phone in 2009 that never existed. In the change from AT&T land phone in 2009 I changed to bundling the cost with U-verse. The first bill to U-verse electronically went to the land phone and upon phone request landphone transfered it to Uverse. Two years later Land phone is claiming that I owe 618$. If this is taken to court it will be proven that AT&T made an error.

Mentor, Ohio. I have met a sale associated name Ray Harris. By far is best i have ever came across in years. His customer services, his knowledge of all the new and upcoming phones was great. Not only he treated me and my wife with respect, with grace. I'm not sure will this email get read but if it do he needs to get promoted .
Terrible ervice for new customer
I signed up for AT&T Uiverse and Internet on November 12, 2012. I live in Atlanta in a fairly new subdivision. My neighbors have AT&T service. They told me my service would be installed on November 19, for it to be changed to November 30 due to engineering issues. Well I had to cancel my current providers by November 24 and went without services thinking it would only be a few days. On November 29, I received a message that the quality of the line they were going to install wasn't good enough so my install date is now Decembee 26. I spent three hours on the telephone talking to seven different people telling me that they are sorry it's a central office issue. When asking for corporate number no suoervisor could provide that to me. Now I am out of services and no resolution from AT&T. I have six cell phone lines which I have had for six years. I am canceling today, the WORST business dealing with this in my life. Stay away from AT&T&.
Terrible Serivce
They don't know what they are doing! I have been trying to set up call forwarding for over 6 months with no success. Hours spent on the phone with promises that "this time it will be correct and will work" still no results. ATT has terrible customer service!!!
i called the At&t store because my phone was having problems. when i first got the phone, they told me it had insurance. but when i called to try to get a new one, they told me it had no insurance. but at walmart they said it did. im very confused with this. two people telling me diffrent things. i suggest you never get at&t. stick with your other phone company.
