horrible customer service

I have been with AT &T for many years. My bill per year is more than $3000. It is filled with rude, inefficient african americans. I am going to the store tomorrow and cancelling my contract. I have 4 lines on this contract. I will go with verizon. Their customer service is far superior to AT & T.

Parental Controls Are A Joke

I am probably going to turn off one of my teenagers' phones permanently due to the flaws in the Smart Limits plan. Any tech savvy kid can figure out how to get around the number block by having their friends change the settings on their phones to make their number unidentified. Since Smart Limits doesn't let you block unidentified numbers they can circumvent the restrictions. Years ago we could buy phones intended for small children that were restricted so they could only call parents and 911, why doesn't smart limits work that way? I enjoy the convenience of my child having a phone but the constant changes to my plan every time she comes up with a new way to get into trouble are wearing thin with me. If Smart Limits worked the way it should, none of this would be necessary. As inconvenient as this will be, it will be a much smaller headache than dealing with AT&T's scammy parental controls.

Poor Service with AT&T

I feel my service with AT&T is very unprofessional. There customer service team is just awful. I never to talk to a bunch of representative that le constantly lie about their services and product. Then when I ask to speak to someone in higher management the hang up. I wouldn't` never recommend there services to anyone.

Connection

Dear AT&T recently there was a poster placed in front of Georgia State campus stating that AT&T has the most reliable service. What the company may be unaware of is that 98% of AT&T customers do not have service downtown Atlanta inside the school facilities. I know corporate AT&T is near the school campus and felt that there may be some miscommunication. As a marketing major I believe advertisments should be true. ridiculously poor service

My family has been with at&t since Cingular and each year the customer service has gotten worst. It takes forever to get a person on the line, never get the same information, I've gotten hung up on multiple times.unable to speak with a supervisor, I feel like they want all their customers to cancel.

WTF

ATT billing and customer service is poor, at best. Customer service rep's are out of control, slightest disagreement and you put on eternal hold or "accidentally", disconnected. For those that may read this, go to another provider, save yourself the aggravation. ATT would get a negative minus-zero rating if this site allowed it.

How deceptive

This list AT&T headquartes in Dallas yet the number provided is a San Antonio number which is where AT&T call center is located. So there is no way to conact the corporate office directly???I'm been trying to get phone service for the past 2 weeks and because of AT&T errors my install date has been pushed out to Oct 1!!!!I've been promised call backs from a supervisor and it's yet to happen.

Worse company ever

I"ve tried for a month to get a landline activated still with no success. The worst company I've ever dealt with. Cannot solve a problem, hold times can exceed 30 minutes, no return phone calls! I've never been quite so frustrated as I am now. So my question to others is....please provide me with the name of a company that will install a landline for business purposes. I've checked with Verizon but unfortunately they do not have service in my area. Any out there with some help?

Not possible

I have been trying, for the past two days, to get my VM repaired. I get messages but I do not get an audible or visual indicator that tells me I have mail. So consequently I have to call my mail box to see if there are any messages. After 6 calls to repair and 3 calls from supervisors asking me the same questions over and over and apologizing. MY VM STILL DOES NOT WORK. They can't repair even the most simple problems!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Abusive AT&T Office of the President "managers"

AT&T has jerked us around since 12/2001---more specifically, about 60 hours of phone-in-my ear, left-hand doesn't know what the right-hand is doing ping-ponging, differing "stories" that has cost me business $ and has cost my husband business $. Alan Jackson "manager" Office of the President raised his voice to me, left condescending, accusatory messages on my cell phone, and today, 8/12/13 raised his voice to me, threatened me to just close out my ticket and let me do without service. Jackson REFUSED to give me to his supervisor and he REFUSED to give me his ID and he made snide remarks to me and informed me that I could not "go any higher than ME!" He was abusive, condescending, threatening, discourteous, and basically told ME that I couldn't do anything about how HE acted. Is THAT the kind of customer service that AT&T condones?

AT&T Monopoly Allows Bullying

AT&T has cost me business. It screwed up my domain transfer in 12/2011 and caused me to pay DOUBLE because there was no competent customer service at AT&T. They have bullied me and my wife, lied to us, and have refused to take responsibility for the wrongs they have done to use both at home and at my office. My wife handles all these matters and they have mistreated her to the point that she gets physically ILL whenever she has to deal with them. The AT&T "Office of the President" consists of condescending, patronizing, verbally abusive to my wife.

Lousy Service

AT&T was supposed to install a UVerse internet modem and here it is 1 month later, not installed. They came by and said they would come back in a couple of days. Never came back or called. AT&T deserves to go out of business. They are worse than the car companies.

No Home Service

I have tried for three weeks to get my home service fixed. I have scheduled my third home repair with At@t home service. The past two weeks I have waited for the total of 28 hours and I am pissed. I called each time after seven hours of wait and was either told that the repair person is on his way or they would be there first thing in the morning. I am extremely tired of At@t not caring about their home customer service. Stop with the apology and get my phone working and keep it working!!!!!!! I would love to hear a voice on the other end instead of all the statics.

INCOMPETENT

Two years ago, I had AT&T cable and internet installed and always wondered why I had so many cords and two modems. My internet connection was HORRIBLE, and I contacted AT&T and was told to look at the web pages supplied by the company. A few days ago, I demanded a technician and had to fight for the service. The installers had NEVER removed the SUDDENLINK equipment, and my cords were intertwined with that company's cords. My line was 70-feet too long and went through another house, and I had an extra modem that was dead! The technician couldn't believe the mess, and the installers also never bothered to tell me how easy it was to go wireless. SHAME ON YOU, AT&T! If it wasn't for an occasional professional, you'd be in the dirt. WHY do you call yourself a communications company?

AT&T incompetant uncaring

It was my fear when I signed up again with AT&T for landline service that I would be as disappointed this time around just as I was the first second and third time I got rid of them. Unfortunately for me it is far worse than it ever was yet it is the only game in town. After having their phone service for only 2 weeks my phone service is down. It has been down for 3 days, leaving my 93 year old mother no means of communication while I am out of town. So should the need arise for her to dial 911, she can not do this. I have begged for them to do repairs during the hours when her caregiver is present but either their customer service reps are on a learning curve or completely brain dead...I will be disconnecting their service upon my arrival home. as an afterthought....even this site stinks!!

POOR POOR SERVICE & ATTITUDE

At&t made us change internet to uverse - I'd rather leave well enough alone. It took 3 months to get this accomplished cuz you had to have an appt. but they couldn't do it at a convenient time for us, or they didn't call the right # and therefore, didn't show up cuz they thought no one was here. Then when they finally came to change over the last one - their tech took out our entire phone system and the other uverse connections that had been satisfactorily done two weeks prior. And guess who's they say has to pay for repair of the phone system - we do. Cuz everyting works from "pole to building" and its something on the inside of the building. Bunch of incompetent idiots!

Terrible customer service

ATT techs were not able to transfer service from one location to another. On the phone with them for hours, and they did not even give me the correct info. This Company is a joke. I cancelled my service at the beginning of the month due to all of these problems, and they still billed me for the full month, and added late charges onto the Bill saying the payment was late. I am contacting the BBB This week in Southern Calif to add another complaint to this Pathetic service.

Terrible cusomer service

My telephone line was cut. I am a physician with my office in my home. It took me 45 minutes to locate a live person with your telephone tree. She was in India and could not understand my request. She offered me a routine repair up to 30 hours from the initiation of my call. I asked for the supervisor. he reluctantly transferred me to a tech in Texas who could not communicate with California. I am still waiting for an answer as to how and when the repair will take place.
