WORST customer service out of ANY of the car companies I have EVER dealt with!

This company has the worst customer service I have ever had. I would not recommend this company to anyone. They say they will call back they never do. They went thru 3 managers in a very short period of time and they want you to have a college degree to even get a job at this company. We rented 2 trucks from them in Anchorage for 8 months and they take the money out of you account anytime they want, then when you try to talk to someone about it they never call you back. I personally will never rent from them again.

For many years, I have rented from Enterprise Car Rental because of the great service and the fact that you would pick me up and take me back home or to the local auto repair shop. I called Enterprise Friday afternoon to rent a car to pick up at a particular location (that the customer service even told me where that location was located) so I could get there in the morning. When my family and I arrived there Saturday morning @ 10AM to pick up the car, the office person had nothing on his schedule and when looking into my confirmation number the person on the phone scheduled me to pick up a car in another city many, many miles away from where I was located. No other cars were available and no concessions were given, so I took my business to a competitor, paid a higher price, but will be willing to do that again in the future after how lousy I was treated by your current corporate structure.

I was in a pretty serious accident Tuesday May 15th and my car was totaled. My insurance company set up the reservation for a rental with Enterprise and told me to call ahead to be sure the vehicle I needed would be available. When I called the Enterprise office at 3445 Noland Rd in Independence, Mo I spoke with a woman name Laura and explained to her that I'm a big guy and was also pretty banged up from the accident. I explained to her that I would not be able to get in and out of a compact or what they call a full size vehicle and that I needed something like a mini van at which time she replied that they didn't do mini vans. I asked her to clarify what she was saying to me. She repeated what she said and then told me that Enterprise got rid of all their mini vans and didn't have them anymore. Thinking that she was not being truthful with me I went ahead and scheduled a full size vehicle. The next day I arrived to get the rental and as I was walking across the parking area a man in a MINI VAN parked and went inside. The mini van had an Enterprise sticker on it. An attendant came right out and started his walk around the van so I said to him that I was told that his company got rid of all their mini vans. He replied that they had gobs of them. When I complained to the manager a Nick Enevoldsen he made light of it and told me she (Laura) would never have said that to me. I told him that I wasn't stupid, that I have a Masters in Education and his assumption of her dealing with me was wrong. His reply was, "So what I have a bachelor's degree!" He then directed me to a Malibu out front or I would have to take a SUV which was $15 more A DAY than what my insurance policy would cover. What kind of CUSTOMER SERVICE MADNESS IS THIS!!! I almost forgot to mention that Laura hid in their inner office while this was going on. 0 stars for awful is what they deserve.

I rented a car in Miami airpot, when asked if I wanted extra insurance I declined even when the attendant have circled the areas in the receipt as if I wanted. When I returned the car I was charged $109 over the original charge of $89.I made a complaint, and no one give an answer, I contacted Amex and when they show me the original paper work it looked like I had initiled de document, but my copy dindn't have the initials. The women(Natalia)had clearly falsified my initials.

WE RENT A CAR IN ENTERPRICE IN PALM DESERT CA,,,,,,WE VERY HAPPY WITH THE COMPANY AND THE MANAGER HE GIVE US A VERY PROFESSIONAL SERVICE , AND THE EMPLOYES TOO,,,,,,, THANKS ENRERPRICE RICHARD CARRASCO

UNDERCOVER BOSS ---- YOU ARE NEEDED in Spokane, Washington. Your franchised facilities in Spokane are not clean! Even the new facility in the vallley is dirty. They are also not able to fullfill their promises. Your managers are pleasant but they sure don't listen. I called one week early stating I had limited mobility and needed a vehicle that was easily entered. The Francis office sent a full size truck without running boards to pick me up....needless to say artificial knees and hips were not able to manage that. They came back with a lovely Camry and quickly told me I could not have it....just the pick up car. They took me to a different location and put me in a compact without auto windows or locks....geez. Next day they found a fully loaded very low to the ground compact.....geez.... Too bad my insurance only lets me rent from Enterprise.

My daughter recently applied for a position with your company, in the New Orleans area. She was interviewed three times. Following the third interview on a Wednesday, she was told she would be called two days later and a fourth interview would be scheduled. The call never came. She e-mailed them several day later and was told Enterprise had decided not to hired her. Whatever happen to common courtesy?

I have rented from Enterprise probably about 5 or 6 times in the last few years. I have ALWAYS gotten excellent customer service and treated with respect. The best experience was this past weekend, May 6, 2012 at O'Hare. Our flight was delayed and we were late getting to Enterprise. Since my husband is in a wheelchair, we had to get a handicapped bus to take us to our car. I didn't see any and flagged down a "regular" Enterprise shuttle. The driver immediately radioed a colleague and within minutes, a handicapped shuttle arrived. The driver helped me with our luggage and got my husband onto the bus safely. Once we arrived at Enterprise, the staff welcomed us with open arms and wide smiles which was wonderful, considering my husband and I were tired, cranky and hungry. Patrick took the time to explain how to use the GPS (which was one of the most accurate I have ever used, the Garmin Nuvi.) Additionally, the Manager, Jeremy, said that when we return the car at the end of our trip, to tell the staff that he said for one of them to drive us directly to the departures, thus eliminating an extra transfer. The employee, J. Tyler, could not have been more solicitous and he even helped me with our luggage and my husband's wheelchair. It's too bad that the other posters had such bad experiences with Enterprise. But it's not surprising since rarely do people write positive things about anything. In fact, I will write a letter of praise to the corporate office, detailing my experience. For those who have never used Enterprise, I can only say that this is the only car rental company I have used and will continue to use.

Would go lower on the rating if it was possible. We just had a similar experience as some of the above. When I returned the car I had rented through the insurance company of the bus that hit my car, I turned in my paper work with a statement and had it signed and dated that I declined the insurance that they had talked me into. My auto insurance said that I did not need it. One of the girls at the counter raced out to the car to prove "hail damage" to the car. I did not encounter any hail during the entire time that I had the car. Then all of the other associates came out one or two at a time to verify that there was damage. They were looking at a barely discernible indentation near the front edge of the hood where a man might put his hand to slam the hood down after opening. That was the only place they could find to complain about. No one said anything about the big chip on the front edge of the hood (the chip was old and had rust on it) as being a problem---but they insisted that they had given me a car with "NO DAMAGE" I will dispute this with my credit card company. They were so ridiculous that it could have been funny if it had not been taking up a beautiful evening with my husband.

I rented a car from 1208 North Frazier,Conroe, Texas on April 27, 2012 and returned it on April 30, 2012 before 10:00 AM. I had put up a $350.00 deposit and gave them my insurance card and purchased additional insurance through the online service from which I went through to make the reservation. Upon arrival on the date I was to pick up the car, they did not have the car from which I had reserved so I took another car at additional cost. Upon returning the car I was to receive my deposit back minus the amount of cost for the weekend rental. I was told that I would receive my refund back in 5 days. I was really upset because I was not told that I would have to wait for my refund. They did not wait on their deposit from me. Anyway it has since been nine days and I have not received my refund back yet. Everytime I call to see what is going on with my refund, I either given two different addresses to which it was mailed or transferred to someone with whom I only get a voice mail. When I returned the car to the location where I had picked the car up from and was waiting on my refund, they seemed surprised that I would expect my refund back right then. They stated to me that they told me I would have to wait and I told they did not. The lady just kept on checking me out and ignored me as though I was not their, gave me the receipt and never said thank you or anything. I have rented from Enterprise many times before but will never again and will let as many people know as I can not to rent from their either, because they want their money up front but want to take control of what is yours even though they have their merchandise back according to the guidelines setforth. Now if I had been a day or even a few minutes late returning the car back to them, they would charge me extra for that, well I feel I should be given that same option to charge them for not returning MY money back to me. They have no right to it. I guess I will have to take legal action against them to receive MY money back. DO NOT RENT FROM ENTERPRISE BECAUSE THEY ARE CROOKS. I guess they are drawing interest off my money. Legal action in the making.

Just received a call from Enterprise after I called the Corporate and given a different story again. Now they state that after a vehicle is returned that a deposit should be received to the customers in 5 to 10 working days which was also not told to me during any of the numerous calls I have made to them regarding my refund. Apology, apology, does me no good. All I want is my damn money, that they have no right to. Legal action here I come, too many stories, too many lies from their employees. What's really going on?

Im thankful for the article post.Really looking forward to read more. Will read on...

enterprise is the worse company to rent from and even worse to work for

My wife recently went to the rental office on Woodfield Road in Gaithersburg, MD. She was getting repairs done on her vehical at the local body shop. She was going through our insurance company. The agent by the name of Chris treated her like crap and refused to listen to her concerns, tried to upsell her a larger car since our insurance would cover more than she was attmepting to rent, did not care that she wanted dings listed on the rental form that has a place for that and then tried to upsell the added insurance coverage when she told them we would be using our insurance to cover damages. When I drove a fleet vehicle I have always used your company when the company car was in for repairs of any kind. I have used your company when myself or family members decided to bump into things and needed body work, but no more. Your uncaring staff was insulting to my wife and treated her like her feelings and desires were not any concern to her. If this were back in the 60's I'd have gone there and popped that person in the kisser, but this is a different time so I will post this and never use your company again.

Last year my daughter took a trip, to celebrate her masters degree, through California, and then to Las Vegas. As she was with a friend who reserved a car in their name, all was well until she went to pick up a rental reserved in her name at the airport, i think it was with National, but might have been Alamo. It was only then she was informed that she was on a do not rent to list(blacklist) since 1998. That incident, with Enterprise, was due to a sales man charging insurance on a rental to an insurance company. (Due to a non chargeable accident). The regional manager authorized waiving the charges, but apparently someone, most likely the sales rep, since no one now can find out how or who put her on the list. Her friend paid for a rental with a different Company, so she got home OK. Since then no one in my family will use Enterprise, or ANY of their other companies!!!

I just saw your new commercial on the tv. I was very impressed with this ad and would definitely rent my next cat from Enterprise. But after reading such poor reviews I see now why its necessary to change your image. "If you always do...what you have always done...you will always get...what you always got" (J.Maxwell) I will rent my next car from you to see if you do what you say you will do! I rented a car from a California office for 1 day and for a deposit Enterprise deducted $250 from my debit card. Returned the car and it has been 3 days now and have not received my $250 deposit. Eneterpise can take the money in 1 minute out of your account and it takes more than 3 days to credit my account. When you talk to their sales people they blame it on my bank. My bank does not use third parties for debit card transactions and it looks like to me Enterprise is using customers money to opertate their business. Very disapointed with the service and the way this transaction has been handled.
