106 Reviews For Zales Corporation Headquarters & Corporate Office

My first esprience with Zales is when i bought my wedding ring, it was in the 90s but even back then this place had some awful problems, i was married for 6 years, but i never had anyone else clean my ring, i would always clean it myself. So when i decided to take it to zales to clean is when i got it back it just did not shine like it use to, so something told me to take it to an apprasier, which i did and they inform me that my ring was never goning to really shine because it was a fake it was not a real dimond, the cost was 795.00 back then that was a lot to pay for a wedding band. So what happen is that the jeweller switch my real dimond to and put a fake stone in it, and what was soo bad is that the store said nothing could be done about it because i had it for 4yrs or more. I would not by my dog or cat a dog or cat biscuit from this institution

Abby Zales own kay jewellers!

Horrible job soldering wedding rings!

How this place is still selling jewelry is beyond me. I have never seen so many complaints on so many different sites. My Fiancee bought my ring at Zales only because he forgot the nice Kay jewlery store that we normally go to had moved. It's a cluster diamond 5/8 carat. I got my ring in December of 2012 and it has been in the shop twice due to stones falling out. It has been in the shop more than it has been on my finger. Folks I'm not an athlete. I'm not playing baseball in my ring or banging it on the wall. This is normal day wear to my office job where I sit at a desk and type all day. I don't do the dishes in it, don't take showers wearing it. I've seen a lot of jerk comments from employees of zales saying that people who lose stones are banging up there rings. I have friends who have had their rings for over 20 years and way bigger settings than mine that have never ever lost a stone. To lose 2 stones from two different spots before it even makes it to the first inspection to me says something about their crappy manufacturing. The sales girls are unsympathetic and could give a crap about it. Our wedding is in 4 months and I better have a ring to wear on my wedding day. People should not have to go through this kind of crap for something that costs so much. We will never buy from Zales again and I will tell everyone I know not to shop there. If another stone falls out I'm asking for a refund and we will go to Kay. They are nice there and we have had excellent customer service and never had a problem with any Jewelry from there.

2 carat engagement ring. One stone falls out. Six weeks to replace. Second stone falls out. Several weeks to replace. Third stone falls out, wait...it was the first one, again. Oh, and the ones they put in, one is black with no girdle, the other is brown. I send it back, two nasty stones are replaced...so much for the perfect match policy. Now same stone is loose again. And I forgot to meantion they shattered my 3 carat center stone I had put in it. ( saphire) waiting for diamond to be set by another jeweler. once this ring has my real diamond in it, zales won't see it again. I doubt my diamond will br safe from breakage or theft.

Beware with Zales... First off, the staff that I dealt with was very kind and caring at Zales. I've had numerous problems with several different items from there. I do believe that their items are of very high quality. My lmost recent problem is that I KNOW one of my stones was switched out when I sent my item to be fixed. My setting was loose and my stones were about to fall out and whe I picked it up I didn't notice until about a week later a big flaw in one of the stones. I know my fiancee and I did not pick out this item with this flaw in it. I am one hundred percent positive that my stone was switched out. Not sure what I will do if they don't correct this problem...

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!!!! Lawsuit waiting to happen against them

In July of 2011, my future husband and I went shopping for engagement rings. We found a beautiful ring at one of your outlet stores. Much to my surprise, it was purchased a few days later and presented to me on August 10, 2011. As a happy first time bride, we planned a beautiful destination wedding and started looking for wedding bands. We found ourselves at a Zale’s store in Market Place Mall in Champaign, Illinois. The person that waited on us was very helpful and created a wedding set that I dearly love. Since my engagement ring is a 3 stone cluster the wedding band had to contour around middle stone. When we added 1 band it didn’t set off the beautiful ring, so we added 2 bands, 1 on the bottom and 1 on the top. In an effort to keep the ring from sliding on my finger we decided to have them soldered. At the same time the ring needed to be sized as well, so the rings were sent off the end of February to be sized from a 7.0 to a 7.5. As a nervous bride, I was worried about not having my engagement and the rings not returning in time for our destination wedding. Our wonderful sales person said they would be back by Friday, March 9, 2012. On March 9th, I called Zale’s at Market Place Mall to see if my ring had arrived and I hope you can understand my disappointment when the sales person told me “No, it did not arrive with the other orders.” Since this sales person was not our nice Megan, I decided to wait and call later that day when Megan was in the store. Once I spoke with Megan, she quickly called the jeweler and it was shipped out that night and we had it on Saturday, March 10th. When we arrived to pick up the ring, I was very excited to see my beautiful wedding ring set. As I had dreamed, it looked absolutely breath taking, but was immediately disappointed when I realized it had not been sized. MISTAKE #1. Although it fit, it was tight. There was no way to send it back as we were leaving that week for our destination wedding. So, Megan (our wonderful sales person), said “When you return bring it back and we will have it sized.” My response was “OK, but I should not have to; it should have been done right the first time.” Let me also add that when we purchased the rings, we also purchased the protection plans as well. On Tuesday, May 8, 2012 I took my ring to Megan at Zale’s and she guaranteed it would be back by Friday, May 11, 2012. Since it was not done correctly the first time, Megan told me to bring my ring in by Tuesday and she would have it returned by Friday of that week. My instructions that day for my wedding ring was to sized it and have white gold added so when it was sized it would not thin it out. After Megan typed in the instructions for the jeweler, I read it and OKed the instructions. Her instructions read: unsolder the rings and size from a 7.0 to 7.5, add gold so it does not thin out the set and solder together. Late morning of Friday, March 11, 2012, I received a phone call from Zale’s stating that my ring was in, so I told the young lady thank you I would be out after school. When I arrived at Zale’s, I handed a young lady my pick up slip for my ring. As she took my ring out of the bag she commented on how beautiful it is. MISTAKE #2. As I inspect the ring I noticed that: 1. There was NO gold added so it is thin and 2. It was NOT unsoldered JUST stretched. I asked the young lady to get out the slip of the jeweler’s comments. She hesitated and another lady came over to help. I them told I wanted to see the comments from the jeweler and what he did. Now 3 ladies pulled out a book that had the jeweler’s comments and one of them quietly said, “He only stretched it.” Since I am standing right there, I heard the comment and stated, “No kidding. I just told you that. This is the second time you have had this ring and you still can’t get it right.” As a sales person should, the young lady remained calm and said, “Ma’am, we can send it back.” I put my ring on and left. MISTAKE #3. For convenience sake, I decided to order my husband’s wedding ring from Zale’s. We had them size his finger and we finally found a ring online. When the ring came in, it was too big. Again, it came in too late to reorder and receive it before the wedding. So we were told to return it once we returned from our wedding. It has only been a week since I was able to return that ring for a replacement, so hopefully that won’t get messed up too. Additionally, my husband wanted to buy me a wedding gift, so he bought me a beautiful watch from your store as well. Our mistake and our lessons have been learned. We won’t be spending a penny in your store again. I am very disappointed in Zale’s and unfortunately we are married and I love my ring that my husband bought for me OR you would have this ring back and I would go to a reliable jeweler. I am greatly disappointed in your service, your lab, and a lack of respect for customer’s and their money they spend in your store. I WILL NEVER SHOP IN YOUR STORE AGAIN AND I WILL LET OTHER’S KNOW NOT TO USE ZALE’S AS WELL.

I recently took my wedding ring and a diamond necklace into the Meadow Wood Mall in Reno, Nevada, for the inspection required for warranty purposes. Upon inspection, I was told that four stones in the ring and one stone in the necklace were loose and needed tightening. My prior repair experience with Zales had taught me that they considerably overcharge for repairs, so I said I was going to take my jewelry to another jeweler for their inspection and opinion. I went to two jewelers in the mall..one said he could not see that any of the stones were in need of repair. The second jeweler said he saw some slight loosening, but they were in no danger of falling out. When I returned to Zales with my information, I was told that they would not sign off on the warranty unless they did the repairs to the tune of $125.00. That is a ridiculous amount to charge for tightening several stones. I said that I would forfeit my warranty and have another jeweler inspect and repair my jewelry in future rather than be ripped off by Zales. Subsequently, I took the items to a well-respected jeweler in Carson City. He tightened the very slightly loose stones in about five minutes and only reluctantly charged me $10 for his service after I insisted on paying him something. I have now forfeited my warranty rather than be ripped off by Zales again. This is an underhanded practice of forcing their customers to overpay for repairs that may or may not even be necessary. My advice for future customers is to have your jewelry inspected and repaired if necessary by a jewelry not affiliated with Zales and then take it in for the inspection. Hopefully, that will deny them the ability to continue this unethical practice.

Dont go here ,go to kays jewelry they treat everyone better and has better jewelry . Remember every kiss begins with Kay

Have you ever met "Z" White, the Regional Director, Texas Region at Zale Corporation? Well I did today...what a pompous arrogant a** he is! I've been with the company for almost a year and have worked in mid-level management for the world's largest retailer for over ten years, then owned my own successful mortgage company till the mortgage crash in 2006, a veteran in the military and I have never seen such BS. "Z" White and his entourage of District Managers came to our store for a planned visit this morning. While they were at lunch next door, I came in to work and began my shift as usual and just as I finished helping a customer, "Z" and his entourage came back through the front door. "Z" comes in, stops right inside the door and just stares at me, I gave him a friendly smile, said hello and he just stood there staring. He then held his arms open and asked "do you work here", I said yes...he said "do you know who I am" I said "well, you must be "Z" because I have seen you on the training videos". He said, "is this the way we greet our quests, get out behind the counter and come greet us". (I didn't know I was on the greeting committee for "Z" and his entourage of other dignitaries!) I'm guessing he wants a reception line and everyone bowing at his feet every time he comes through the door. When I worked for the WORLDS LARGEST RETAILER the second in command of the entire company came through our work area and actually came over to me, introduced himself and asked me "how's it going". This was true leadership and "Z" would not make a pimple on his butt. Why does "Little Man Napoleon Syndrome" come to mind now, when I think of "Z" White. He and all the others like him at Zale's is why this company will not last, they are too full of themselves and never think to ask the people closest to the customer and actually selling their merchandise "how's it going". They think they know it all and just need to tell us what to do and expect us to kiss their little feet. Yeh, I might be out of a job real soon when "Z" see this, but I guarantee with people like "Z" in charge...the whole company will be back in bankruptcy with 5 to 10 years.

Zales treats their employees terrible . It is constant stress from the managers as well as dm and rm . For the amount of money they pay it's not worth it at all . Their jewelry is good quality . But the repairs are sketchy . To size a ring cost maybe 2 bucks well the repair division multiplys everything by 3.5 just to make a few bucks that's not the worst . It's because of huge. Corporations like this that is messing up our econ . They out source all repairs to a big named company who dosent give a crap about the quality instead of keeping it to privet jewlers who do great work . Non of the repairs go to Mexico so that's just a lie number one that's just not legal . But employees are constitly bashed and expected to meet all 5 business towers which are credit caret sales repair warranty which is really hard and if u make all but one well u get thrented constitaly . The company sends training videos on how to talk to customers like we have lost touch with society but it is not us who have lost touch . The company has lost touch with the people and what they expect .

If you think the service is bad...try working for them. They treat everyone poorly. The expectations are beyond reality. The DM and RM are a couple of nasty b-tches that won't deal with customer complaints. The Dm tells us "that's what we pay you for". During the holidays they expect everyone to work open to close with extended hours 7 days a week for most of the month of December (comes out to be 98 per week). They break every law regarding federal meal breaks. They do sell crappy jewelry and the repair center forwards your repair to Mexico to get fixed.

The first purchase I ever made from Zales was a beautiful gold watch, 30 years ago. I paid a whopping $500 something fot it at that time. I was celbrating the end of my divorce. Last month I took it into a jewelry store to sell it. I hated to part with it, but times were tough. I'm a disabled vet and I needed to pay for meds. I was told it wasn't gold at all. The back was stainless steel, which should have told me I was getting ripped off, but what did I know back then. This was the first real piece of jewelry I bought for myself. People, if the back isn't gold the watch is not gold! I've done alot of business over the years with Zales, never the wiser, until times demanded I sell it. Truly disappointed in your store.

i'M GLAD I FOUND THIS SITE. ABOUT A MONTH AGO I WENT ON A QUEST TO BUY BATTERIES FOR SIX WATCHES. I HAVE LOTS OF WATCHES BECAUSE I HAVE SOME DRESSY, CASUAL AND SOME INEXPENSIVE ONES THAT LOOK GOOD, TOO. HOWEVER IT WAS JUST ABOUT TEN FIFTEEN AND A YOUNGER WOMAN OF COLOR APPROACHED US. I TOLD HER I NEEDED SOME BATTERIES FOR MY WATCHES AND THEN I NEEDED A POST FOR MY TWO PAIR OF GOLD EARRINGS. SHE ASKED HOW MUCH DID YOU PAY FOR THE REPAIRS ON YOUR EARRINGS? I DIDN'T RECALL BECAUSE IT HAD BEEN SOME TIME AGO. THE BEST OF THE BEST DOES WEAR OUT. THE VERY NEXT THING THIS HEIFER SAID WAS WE DON'T SELL THESE ANYMORE!!! I WASN'T LOOKING TO BUY NO DAMN EARRINGS JUST GET THE POST(HINGE) REPLACED. THEN SHE SAID IS THIS 10K OR 14K. ALL I KNOW IS SHE IS SUPPOSED TO BE THE EXPERT. I SURELY KNOW BETTER THAN BRINGING IN SOME COSTUME JEWELRY TO THE STORE. THEN SHE YELLED OVER TO THE OTHER WOMAN A WHITE ONE HOW MUCH IS THAT GOING TO BE THEN TOLD ME $45.00 EACH AND I HAD TWO DIFFERENT EARRINGS AT THAT AMOUNT I COULD PURCHASE A NEW PAIR. THEN I TALKED ABOUT REPLACING MY BATTERIES IN THE WATCHES. IMMEDIATELY SHE SAYS THAT IS $19.95 FOR BATTERY, ALL I WANT IS THE BASIC BATTERY NOT A LIFETIME. SHE SEEMED TO BE HOSTILE ABOUT THE ORDEAL. I'M TIRED OF THIS BULL**** I'M DOING YOU A FAVOR BY SHOPPING IN YOUR STORE. I TOLD HER PUT THEM BACK IN MY BAG AND I'LL BE MOVING ON. THEN TWO YEARS AGO FOR MY BIRTHDAY, I'D PURCHASED A PRICEY TANZANITE GOLD FLORAL SETTING RING ON A SHOPPING CHANNEL AND A BLACK SALESMAN WAS WAITING ON ME. HE HAD A NASTY ATTITUDE TOO. WHERE DID YOU GET THIS RING, I TOLD HIM AND THIS RING IS APPRAISED ABOUT $1000.00 AND HE GOT HIS SPY-GLASS AND EXAMINED IT AS IF IT WERE JUNK. AFTER HE SIZED MY FINGER AND WROTE THE TICKET HE GAVE ME MY CLAIM CHECK AND BEFORE I GOT OUT OF THE STORE HE WAS SHOWING MY RING AROUND TO THE OTHER EMPLOYEES. I USED TO TRUST ZALES, BUT, AFTER THIS LAST EXPERIENCE I DON'T WANT A DAMN THING FROM YOUR STORE. THE HELP YOU HIRE IN THERE AREN'T PROFESSIONAL AT ALL. THIS IS THE INDPENDENCE, MISSOURI STORE AT INDEPENDENCE CENTER. THIS IS MY LAST AND FINAL COMPLAINT. ONE TIME AT A SMALL STRIP MALL IN LEAVENWORTH, KANSAS THE ZALES THERE WAS A CLERANCE CENTER. I HAVE PURCHASED A LOT OF MY JEWELRY THERE. I HAD A OPAL AND IT WAS MOST BEAUTIFUL DESIGN HAD GOTTEN MANY COMPLIMENTS ON IT. I HAD IT A WHILE AND EVEN PURCHASED THE INSURANCE IN CASE OF NEEDED REPAIR AND THE OPAL FELL OUT. I TOOK IT TO ZALES FOR REPAIR AND I RETRIEVED THE STONE AND MY BEAUTIFUL OPAL HAD BEEN SWITCHED FOR A PLAN OLD ONE THAT WASN'T THE ORIGINAL. THIS STUFF IS RIDICULOUS. THIS IS WHY, I TOO WILL TELL ON YOU DIRTY DOGS. HAD ALSO A WATERFALL RING WITH A LOT OF CHANNEL SETTINGS IN IT AND I HAD GOTTEN THE RING BENT AND WENT TO THE ZALES STORE AND THE SALESMAN SAID I DON'T THINK THIS IS WORTH IT. ITS NOT UP TO YOU. I'M THE ONE WHO THOUGHT IT WAS WORTH IT. I SEE THEY DID FIX IT FOR ME. I'VE SEEN A LOT OF BAD REVIEWS AND I WILL FACEBOOK IT TWITTER AND TELL ALL MY CHURCH FRIENDS, NEIGHBORS AND CO-WORKERS ABOUT THE LOUSY SERVICE THAT I GOT. I'M SO GLAD YOU CLOSED MY ACCOUNT I'D RATHER GO SOMEWHERE ELSE ANYWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I dont know where to start! im a returning customer and have had nothing but good till the last 2 items i have tried to buy. First off, i think that its a huge hassle for customers to not be able to ship a once shipped item to another store. Situation #1 i wanted this engagement ring and i work on the road and my g/f soon to be wife, lives in kc. i was working in IN so i wanted to pic the ring up in kc and purpose to her when i got home. my job schedule changed i was going to go straight to NY and i was going to fly her out. It would have been so easy to just send the ring to NY but you cant had to cancel the order and fill a new one... but that was the last ring.... you had no more in stock. so canceled a good order and therfore couldnt get another ring. I was upset with Zales gave them the benifit of the doubt, designed a ring and got it sent to a outlet store in Albany ny. I put $1000.00 down and the rest on my zales card. waited the 5 weeks for it to ship. get notice from my company that we are gonna have time off between jobs ( now wish it was going to kc) but we know you cant do that. I then contacted the store EXPLAINED the situation and TOLD THEM I WOULD BE THERE TODAY !!! 3-1-12 to pick the ring up. I went there today 3-1-12 and my ring wasnt there! they shipped it back to warehouse for a refund...... AFTER i had PAID for half of the damn ring!!! I dont understand why this has become such and unpleasant experience! This is supposed to exciting getting engaged not frustrating and angering! I called you.. so the ring is supposed to be diverted back to the store instead of restock. if they cant stop the restock / return process i didnt want. I can place another order wait another 5 weeks and get a ring. if i dont have that ring i want a FULL REFUND!! i have spent money to have her in NY to purpose and no ring. So HERES my frustration and your flaws.... do you care about your customers? well see if you blow this email off like you did the last one! This is my story and the email I have sent everyday on every hour for the last 2 weeks.... still nothing from anyone!!! THERE GONNA RUN OUTTA CUSTOMERS DO THEY NOT REALIZE THIS.

My husband bout my engagment ring from Zales back in September of 2010. I have lost 3 diamonds in it, so its been sent out 3 times. Well, I recently lost another diamond in it for the fourth time. I didn't have my paperwork for my warrenty so they try to find something in the computer. My name, address, phone number comes up but for some reason not the warranty information. Do they do it on purpose. Dont understand how ALL my information is in the system but not my warranty?? Im calling corporate today and DEMANDING a new ring. My ring was cheaply made and I deserve more than garbage!

I bought my wedding rings at Zales. I had excellent service at the fairlawn office! Well Zales decided to close it down. Well now we go to Chapel Hill Mall. Well 2 years ago I lost my paperwork on my ring. I was dealing with a girl named Kim and she assured us that she would get us the paperwork. She claimed that because she couldn't find us in the system so she would get it from corp. And mail it to us. Well 2 months later heard nor received anything. Went back and come to find out she never looked! Thank goodness another girl there helped us out! Then we go back up there to service my ring and I asked one of the gals who was a cute chinese woman and asked if I can order my wedding band. She said she would look into it and never called me back. 2 months later I call the canton store and asked if I can order my matching wedding band. She said she will look and call me back tomorrow.....well a week later she tells me she can't order it! I was furious because they had it online but it didn't have the white gold prongs! So I go back and talk to kim and she said they they can have. It made. So I go up to Chapel Hill and kim wasn't there (which I new) and she left the info for the chinese woman to order it. Well she said she couldn't order it and we would have to come back! I was so mad! I asked to look at the paperwork and she refused until I inisted that I look at what kim had wrote down. Well right there was the item number and she argued with me about it till the other ssales clerk told her I was correct! So it finally got ordered and I am currently waiting on it to come in. I will NEVER buy another item from Zales!

Well you guys you will be happy to read this. For all of you that have been treated badly at Zales.. Here is my story. In 1990 my husband bought me a 3 carat wedding set from Zales. He put it on his card... It cost almost 10,000 dollars. We filed bankruptcy 2 months later and the ring was charged off. My husband only made 2 payments of 100 dollars.. :o)
