I had a secondary savings account with Wells Fargo that automatically switched to a checking account. It was not active for over 6 months as this was a secondary account. On May 25 2012 I deposited funds into the account and was then charge a $10 service charge fee. I called customer service to inquire about this charge and was told this account needed to have a balance of $2000 or more or $750 worth of direct deposit to avoid the $10 service charge. I tried to inform the rude customer serivce Bitch of the account and that I was never told anything about this account when WF switched it to a checking account. She began talking over me and avoiding my questions. So I requested to speak to a manager and was place on hold for over a minute. She finally came back to phone and said "My manager is busy and said to tell you they cannot assist you that you need to go into a branch". I said well if your manager had time to tell you that how come they couldn't tell me that directly? WF the worst bank to do business with. Avoid WF at all cost.
This bank is insane. I had a service manage named Luanna at the meridian Idaho branch who she literally acted like a troll every time I went into her bank. I complained 4 times about her to manager Aline. However on May 4 Luanna decided to personally insult me in front of my kids. In response to her I called her a troll. (which is not that bad). I later find out from some Leslee barney five girl telling me that I can no longer bank at wells fargo because of my behavior. Yet this whole thing happened in the drive thru and I was in my car. I informed lesslee and aline to pull the video surveillance which would should I was correct. however they never pulled it. I spoke with two other branches that have never had a problem with me, and yet that still was not good enough. I am curious as to why their employees can personally insult someone however if you stand up for yourself, then your not allowed to bank there. In addition to that I also complained about one of Luanna teller named Dawn. both of these ladies are the most unprofessional stuck up self slobbing people I have ever met. I plan on filing a civil suit and I did file a complaint with the better business brueau. I tried to called the executive office however for some reason they keep losing the phone call. I plan on doing everything in my power to take business away from them, just to teach them a lesson.
Wells Fargo Bank can make your hard times worst. They took me, a working mom, with a husband laid off for 4 months and TOOK ALL THE MONEY out of my bank account and my joint bank account each one time. The money was for our RENT, and now we can be facing EVICTION. I was only behind 4 payments of $250 plus fees and interest and they have tele-transferred $6,800.00 of the only cash we have earned. Wells Fargo wants you to pay them while they simultaneously shutting down your ability to even get gas or get to work or keep your children housed. The COLLECTION PERSON DINA BARNES of Phoenix, AZ lies to you and work on commission, and her supervisor, JANINE WALTERS, won't return calls. In 2010, WF paid out $2 million for illegal profiteering from their practice of ordering insufficient funds fees from the largest transactions down to the least. Now, in 2012, WF will take all of your money out of your account and leave you HOMELESS to get their money. Fourteen years of good standing, and during four months of hardship,they create more problems.We are starting a lawsuit, and I am thinking of putting together a class action lawsuit if I see there is a need for it.

Had an auto loan with them for the last 6 years. Paid it off in September 2011, got mailed the title, figured everything was good to go. Now we just went to buy a new truck and wells fargo is reporting it a whopping $36.00 past due and over 180 days late! We've tried calling, disputing with the credit agencies and to no avail. Contacting a lawyer today.
I have two car loans with Wells Fargo. They "lost" my cash payment on one of my payments last month. They called to state that I had failed to pay, and I was unable to find my receipt. I inquired if they had double posted to the second loan, and they said no. They charged me late fees and penalties, and today my new statement arrives.....oh and theres my missing money...posted as a double payment to the wrong account. Also, I want to state, shame on Wells Fargo for firing Yolanda Quesada. How could you possible justify firing a 58 year old woman, who you've done nothing but give awards and praise to for years, for locating a 40 year old shop lifting charge from 1972 when she was a teenager. Bravo on making your work place safe from ex convicts. Give me a break.
The worst people to do business with. I authorized them to debit my account for fifty seven dollars. Not only did they take fifty seven dollars but they took an addition one hundred fifty five dollars and seventeen cents from my account that I did not authorized. This have been going on for three weeks. I wrote a dispute but no one has done anything yet. The reps are rude and never have a supervisor for you to talk with. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE. The billing dispute department does not take phone calls just faxes. WTF How the hell you steal my dam money and no one can explain to me what is going on. What kind of customer service is this?
The young teller deposited the wrong amount into my checking account because she didn't read the amount printed on the check and misread the numerical figure. I had to make several phone calls to resolve the discrepancy. When I call the 800-number, customer service doesn't always have the notes on my account,or the reference number, which was provided to me if I needed to check back with them. It usually ends with me giving up and terminating the call.
A dependable customer for many years. These people do not care about anyone but themselves! Way too big and the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing! Call reps are annoying and rude, will not listen to hardships that anyone has these days. All they care about is money/ NOT good customers for many years. Oh, JUST forget how much money we have made YOU, when we miss one payment. Enjoy it...You will not take your precious money to Heaven if you get there!!!!! Your bar of Gold you will try to take with you is nothing more than pavement to JESUS. I am moving my mortgage, car and all of my accounts elsewhere.
I am not happy with Wells Fargo right now. I have been with them since they were Southtrust Bank and right now, I feel that they do not care. They have it not personal but business mentality. I really do not appreciate the supervisors not calling me back when they are suppose to. They drafted money out of my savings account to compensate a business account that was closed because of another company unauthorized drafting out of my account. When I called to discuss the issue, one person told me that they will resubmit the money and to call my local branch and have someone call them. Well after he called, they told him that they could not do anything and that the account was closed. Such liars!! They told me what to do and also that it would be put back in my account!! It not that I do not want to pay the amount, which I feel like I should not have to, but it is that I should not have to pay the full amount because Wells Fargo kept allowing the same company to draft money out of my account sometimes once or twice a day. I am about to close my other 3 accounts and go else where!!
I can't take it anymore with this bank! I have two words to describe the business ethics of Wells Fargo and its people - NAZI BANK!!! WF's business practices are ruthless, manipulating, and deceiving. They don't care about their customers, they won't fix any problems as a result of their error or negligence, but will tell you that they did only to find out, after dialing over 6 different numbers and talking to various different reps, that they didn't do anything. They will hold you accountable for EVERYTHING. They are LIARS and won't disclose anything to you, but give you the round around. I have so many horror stories with these folks that I could write a mini-novel - no joke! I do think over the last few years, since the early to mid 2000's, they began changing and have gotten worse over time. I'd like to know if anyone has ever taken out a home equity line of credit with them and were told one thing at time of signing only to find out 2-3 years later that it was ALL FALSE! Yes, this happened to us. We were advised that our loan was a fixed rate with a fixed monthly amount, and that it would be paid off in 3 years - I confirmed this several times over the phone with the schmuck who was trying to sell me this loan, as well as the rep at the bank at time of signing(our conversation was recorded so the rep (Bridget) made it appear). Well, I began to notice as time went on that the amounts were not fixed and that it seemed we were just paying interest ONLY!! Not to mention getting slapped with a $75 annual fee - yes, ANNUAL FEE!! We were never told this nor were we told that the loan we had taken out was really an interest only loan for like 30 years. We were stumped! LIARS, LIARS, LIARS. Now they're trying to sell me a new 'revised' home equity loan to make it 'better' so they say. B.S!! DO NOT APPLY FOR ANYTHING with this bank they will drain you and your funds. I have plenty more horror stories to dish, but running out of time and space. We will be changing banks soon, because they are exhausting to deal with on ALL levels. Please do not bank with this bank. Keep paper records, because they WILL take online access away of any accounts that you have and won't give you any info other than send you an email stating that 'you' the customer requested to have your billing delivery method changed (never did). Yes, they did this to one of our CC accounts even though they received payment ON TIME!! I tried to get information from them as to how to access my account and online statements and they refused to give me any information other than a bunch of different numbers to call. They said I had to go to the bank, show them my id to even just get my account number again, but yet they want to ask me all kinds of personal information that they shouldn't be asking over the phone. BASTARDS! This bank and its people will cause you great stress and anxiety.
my complaint deals with cashing "bearer bonds", otherwise known as zero coupon bonds that over years earns 8%..............was never charged to cash them before.........now, upon cashing them, i am charged 10%.......this is tantamount to stealing in my opinion..........complains to the bank manager were fruitless!........ wells Fargo is now capitalizing on my long term investments by charging more than these investments earn.... they just found another way to get their hands in private investor's pockets...............unless they reverse this discrepancy, i will also be changing bankers.......... a responsible response would be appreciated.......
I too learned the hard way that Wells Fargo is not a reputable bank. I closed out four accounts with them. The fourth account had to remain open until I was assured the direct deposit had in fact stopped. However when I went in to close it I found that I was charged a $10 penalty for not having a direct deposit. It was very underhanded in my estimation. If I hadn't paid it I would have had another $10 penalty the following month. They would not close it until the penalty was paid. In other words I was put over the barrel. Damned if you do and damned if you don't. I wonder why they don't realize the best advertising is by word of mouth and I will spread the word. Actually Credit Unions are the way to go these days.
Multiple harassing phone calls even after I sent the cease and desist order one of the call center employees said I needed in order to remove my phone number from their list. Too many of the call center workers are rude and condescending!

Wells Fargo by far is the worst bank I have ever encountered! I had to deal with this bank many moons ago here in Charlotte, NC and they were the worst back at that time! I knew once they acquired Wachovia that unfortunately that bank was going down the tubes. Well it has here in Charlotte and I'm in the process of taking all my money and going to a bank that really cares about their customers. Everyone that knew me by name at my old Wachovia bank is now gone and they have hired people that don't know me except by my bank account number. Nobody answers the phone at this bank anymore and that statement is coming from another bank that trying calling them last week and had to wait forever till someone picked up the phone. When asked why they don't answer the phone the response was we wait for it to go to the 800 number and if it doesn't we don't answer it at all. Now that is customer service!! I had two calls in two days ago with Wells Fargo one to a Branch Manager and one to the Home Equity Supervisor in Portland, Oregon about my Line One coming to term and neither one of these people contacted me!
On 12/30, I had 3 accounts with Wells Fargo, two checking and one savings. I never used one of the checking account and it was negative like $.87 (not dollars, but cents). I transferred $1,090.87 to clear up the negative. I did this transaction online. Well the very next morning, I went to my account online and noticed the account and money GONE. Now, I am a single mother to two girls and this was my RENT money. I called the bank immediately once I saw this. The reps were really confused, but nothing could be done because it was New Years Eve, plus no branches have lobbies open on the weekend. I was then informed BY A SUPERVISOR that the money would be automatically transferred back into my account on the 3rd, which was technically the next business day. I also called and talked to the branch manager, and was informed the same thing. So since I got this information, I wrote the check for my rent because it usually takes two days to come out. Well, the check bounced because wells fargo did not return my money. I received an NSF fee for the transaction. I was then told that a case was open and the money would be in there on the 6th. The case was closed, but the money was never returned. I was then told that it would take 15 business days from the last transaction for the money to be returned. I had a supervisor fax my landlord a statement to let her know that the money was really there, so she has been very understanding of what is going on, but no matter what, I was still charged a late fee, nsf fee, and administrative fee from my landlord because today is the 26th AND THEY STILL HAVEN'T RETURNED MY MONEY!!! I have a letter in writing from wells fargo telling me the date when it was going to be returned (which was yesterday, 1/26) and now that I just checked my account yet again, it's still not there. My landlord is growing impatient, but can you blame her. I had no other choice to contact a lawyer because this is too much that I am going through. Plus, I just might be losing my home because of their mix up.
Okay so my problem is that my very expensive school had doubled charged me for something that I didn't know about and when I tried to get the money back they kept claiming that they had nothing to do with it. So I called wells fargo and told them that my account was in a negative balance of $240 and it wasn't my fault. Now the man I had talked to was very nice and understanding and he had suggested that I file a claim against the school so that the money would go back and my account would be OK. Now I am thinking that everything is okie dokey but guess not because I got off the phone with one of them most rude a$$holes ever. This woman was trying to prove me wrong that the school didn't over charge me even though I had proof that they did. Now the worst part was the fact that she was trying to make it seem that I was lying and not just that she was patronizing me the whole time. Fudge wells fargo I am going to find another place to bank at.
I am frustrated with Wells Fargo. They have asked us to do over a thousand dollars in inspections and show that my new wifes house is leased out. We have someone that will be moving into the house in a week. Our orinal closing date was a week ago. After all the time waiting and spending out of pocket money for the inspections, wells fargo tell our insurance company not to proceed because we may not be continuing with the loan. They did not even tell us. We had to hear it from someone else. I make 180k a year and I can even get a loan for 215K. My Credit is very good. I have been with Wells fargo from the day they took over NBA. If they did not want to give me a loan, why did they make me get all those inspections and pay for it out ot my pocket. Now I may get sued from the people who are going to lease my house. I will loose the erntest money and the money spent on inspections. Thank you Wells Fargo.
Applied for refinance with Wells Fargo HARP 2.0 program siz months ago. They made us get an appraisal for $400 with no intention of following through with the loan. Finally, said forget it and went with another investor. Large banks will not do a refinance if you pay mortgage insurance.
