I can not believe you would fire a man of 68 years of age for something done 50+ years ago when he stuck a cardboard coin in a washing machine. How senseless--where is your sense of decency, your common sense??
I recently tried to place a stop payment on money orders from Wells Fargo Bank and was told that I could not. The manager inform me that the policy is that you can only place stop payment on money orders if you have lost, misplace or if they were stolen. I inform them that I am placing a stop payment on them because the company I sent it to was shut down by the SECS because they are under investigation for fraud and scamming the public. I found out thru my bank that the money orders I sent in were not cashed. But Wells refuse to place a stop payment on the money orders. How absurd is it that my own bank is treating me as if I am the crook or a criminal. In this time, they should be more considerate of their customers needs. I was so livid, because I have bank with them for almost 20 years. My bank had let me down. When I demand to close all my accounts, they told me they would charge me a $400 fee because I still have my CD account with them which will not mature until this October. First of all, the money orders are basically like a check from me with my own money. Why is it that I can not place a stop payment on it? I have to admit banks are crooked indeed. this makes me wonder why I keep my money there? As soon as this gets resolve I will take all of my money out and close my account. I want to put on record that Wells Fargo does not stand by their customers and does not have any heart for their loyal customers. In your time of need they will abandon you in a heartbeat. I will never again refer or suggest anyone bank with Wells. I use to believe in them and thought highly of them. Defended them in times when other slander their name. Never again..after how they treated me,I will not bank with them ever again. So dissapointed in them. Once October roll around, I will take out all of my money and never do business with crooked Wells Fargo again!!!

I usually make online payments. Last month my password was rejected so I called WF to make a payment by phone. I should have known after repeating my bank account # three times I was in trouble. Yep, I was billed for returned check($25.00)plus late fee. too bad there isn't a rating below poor bite me WFF
Never in my life have I dealt with such idiots! You people certainly know how to play headgames and beat around the bush. Your home modification program and mortgage department are a joke. You refuse to work with people, lie, cheat and steal. Every day you call and every day we have a new "case worker" who is hispanic, does not speak english, let alone understand it.....your way of frustrating us into throwing in the towel. Well good luck, as I am a hard person to frustrate and refuse to throw in the towel so that you idiots can take my home and leave me homeless. I will definitely be exposing Wells Fargo and their idiotic practices to any MEDIA outlet that I can to make others aware so they don't fall into your trap. How your corporate managers, CEO's etc.. can live with themselves is beyond me.

I have had a request in to MGC ( a subsidiary of Well Fargo) for a subordination of my equity loan to a refi for my first mortgage for at least 6 months. This loan has been subbordinated for at least 4 years as it was origianlly from another bank. MGC has been the worst service organization I've dealt with in my 30 year as a real estate agent. I will never again reccomend Wells Fargo to my clients because of this experience... I have complied with all requests. My first mortgage refi was granted a long time ago. The only hold up has been MGC. Each time I call, a new person answers and I have to explain again the whole ordeal. Each time I email, I get excuses and new dates to close. Right now I'm waiting for a HUD to be corrected/approved without a date given to close. My title company has already gotten payoffs and now I have to pay these late due to the dealay of MGC.
I have been out of work a very long time and have a chance to go back to school and take an accelerated course which will enable me to get back to work very soon!! I put in for a student loan. Wells Fargo bank has reported to the Government that I owe a student loan that dates back to 1984!! There is no possible way!!! I have a name that is very easy to remember and a social security number that is actually only 3 numbers repeated 3 times. I am supposed to owe tens of thousands of dollars to this bank and have never in my life even been in the lobby of a Wells Fargo bank little alone borrowed any money from one 28 plus years ago!!! Now my life is really in the toilet because I am going to have to give up my chance to go back to school in order to obtain the credentials that I need in order to get a job and now Wells Fargo claims that I owe them money!! There is no limit of statutation for collection of a student loan but, at least, I can force them to produce actual records which prove that I have taken out a student loan at any time with them!! It could take years - what a mess!!!
A.C.E.I agree 100% with you entire statement!!! this financial institution is very unproffessional,conniving,with thee intent to gouge all middle class customer's...Directv chrg. my account in error,in which the charges put me to the limit amount!!! later on WFB claims that I was $300 over my limit,when I called to question the amount WFB cancelled my Credit Card.
Paid Property & School Taxes in full in Feb 2012. Did not pay $129 Property & $139 School Tax interest at the time. Contacted Harris County Tax office in May to pay balance of interest owed and was informed Wells Fargo Escrow Paid. We did not have an Escrow Account but because we were late in paying interest bank says it is the same as not paying taxes. Have been given the run around since then. Was told by rep that he didn't need our home but if we wanted to give it to him that was okay. By setting up Escrow this increased our house note by $500 + $. Wells Fargo knew that we had been struggling over the last few months but were finally getting caught up. We had been in constant contact w/them. Was told to contact Corporate Offices by Wells Fargo Escrow Customer Service Rep and that they would be able to help us. So Far No one has contacted us accept Escrow Rep repeating same info, we are not eligible to cancel our escrow account. Was told that Corporate could make an acception based on the circumstances but have sent numerous faxes to corporate which just keep getting forwarded back to the Escrow customer service dept. I have now been told that the Customer Correspondence Department would contact us - Who the hell are they?????? No One will give us any information that will help us. Escrow Department says there are No Phone Numbers to Corporate Offices and yet they were the ones who directed us to corporate in the first place. Wells Fargo Customer Reps are trained to give Boxed & redundant answers. NO ONE CARES AND ALL REPS DO EVERYTHING THEY CAN TO KEEP CUSTOMERS FROM CONTACTING ANY ONE WHO MAY BE ABLE TO HELP. The irony of this is that if the Interst Amounts had been less than $250 there would not have been a problem. WOW Wells Fargo would rather forclose on your home than do anything that would help you, they have actually said this to me, "I don't need your house but if you want to give it to me fine!" We have had our Mortgage with Wells Fargo since 1997 but nothing matters to these people, or should I say these Ghosts, because all you ever get to speak to is some Customer Service Rep in Some Department who can not do anything!!!!! Also, they refuse to allow you to record your calls with them; however, they record their calls with you. Be sure to record your conversations as you also have that right whether they agree or not!!!!!!!!!!!! CORPORATE PLEASE HELP US, IF YOU REALLY EXIST!!!!!!!!!!!!! Over the years we have been screwed by Wells Fargo several times. We refinaced a number of years ago and were told there were no fees. We then received a letter saying our escrow account was short by a couple of thousand of dollars. When they refinaced they use the money in our escrow account to pay the refinace fees that we weren't suppose to have. This is was when we closed our Escrow Account and Wells Fargo had to reimburse us w/the moneys stolen from our Escrow Account. No body pays the penalties for the underhanded business practices of this bank accept the customer.
Wells Fargo does not know how to take care of clients but they do know how to lie and lose a deposite. Actually three deposits in 11 months at 32k. I have gone to the local papers this time. Anybody reading this be careful dealing with this company they are scam artist.
your loan modifation department sucks guess you like playing head games with peoples lifes my specialist went on vacation instead of putting paper work through and you all take my house on friday i will never ever use wells fargo again. the modifactions people are a joke they never return phone calls niether do they supervisors, i have been in house for 19 years have 3 children and 20 month old gandbaby dont know what to do now thanx for nothing.
I have a Mutual Fund with a company I will not mentioned that came throught my account and overdrew my account. I am trying to get this matter settled with the Mutual fund company, but in the mean time I called to bank to place a stop payment on my account, so the amounts would not come through a second time. Well - The amounts came thru my account once again over the 4th of July, Holiday. I had called the bank and placed a stop-payment so it would not hit my account a second time. I had called Wells Fargo over the telephone to place a stop payment on the company. When I call the company to speak to a banker, they told me they have no record of the stop-payment, I processed over the telephone. They said do you have a reference number. I said I spoke to two of you reps and he repeated to me what they in fact did and said as a curtersy they were going to wave the stop-payment fee. I callback today because I see the items in my account only to be told that Wells FARGO HAS NO RECORD OF THE CALL. I said doesn't you recording say this message is pre-recorded for training purposes...I said then what exactly does than mean..I am so angry with them right now. I'm beginning to believe what everyone is saying about them and it's not good.
To whom it may concern, I don’t know why I’m writing this letter, why I should think anyone in your company would care. But for my own satisfaction I decided to write it. My husband and I have two accounts with Wells Fargo, both a first and second. We were probably in the minority of people who never let either of our loans go beyond two weeks late. We were most likely in the minority of people who were very happy with Wells Fargo. But we have been thrown into what we now believe is most likely the majority as we are extremely unhappy with your company. Let me try and re-count some of our dealing with your company. Back in November we were having car problems which were going to take a lot of money to fix. I called Wells Fargo Equity and asked if we could get a deferment of two payments, (putting two payments on the end of loan.) First off they made me wait until it was late so I called back when it was two days over the due date. Upon speaking to the rep again on the phone and waiting for her to get it approved she came back and told me it was approved. I asked her if I need to wait for a letter or something she said it already went through. So we took the payments for two payments and fixed our car. A little over two weeks later I got a call from that same rep asking for more information. I asked her if there was a problem explaining to her that she had told me it was all okay, she said no they just needed to put in financial info in our records. A short while after that our nightmare started and continues to date. We got a letter saying our loan didn’t go through and we were behind on our payments. I called Wells Fargo to find out what was going on. They told me we were turned down because our financial records indicated we could not afford to make our payments (payments which we always made on time.) They suggested we get it re-fied, I sent them more financial records, and again I got a letter stating that this time we were turned down because our records indicated that we could afford our payments. I have dealt with your uncaring company ever since. They suggested that I do a loan modification which would put the back payments on a six months payback program. I explained to them I couldn’t afford that. So in order to afford it we scrimped and paid back one of our past due payments. When I called them back to tell them we would now be able to afford the six month catch up, they informed me that it would now be a three month catch up program. Apparently we now didn’t owe enough. Putting us right back to the amount we couldn’t afford to begin with. I again called back, the Krissaundra R Williams 866-623-1022 ext 85335 she told me that our one payment caught us up, if we continued to make $100.00 each month before it due date we’d be okay. We have done just that without fail. While I was on a Mission trip, the calls started back up. Krissaundra left a message saying we would no longer deal with her. Every thing I am telling you is true, I have dealt with many people, some at a head office. Most of what we owe now is interest and penalties. This is wrong! Report from Wells Fargo Bank’s Manager Mr. Jeffery Bruneau 6/14/2012 12:00:12 PM In reference to my Romance Fraud case, I have called the manager of Wells Fargo Bank in West Haven three times and one more time today. Every time I call he is out of his office and he never returns my call. Today he did. Two weeks ago Mr. Jeffery Bruneau the manager of the Wells Fargo Bank where I deposited the $7900.00 in a Romance Fraud scheme, call me to tell me that the real Chris Anibal from Minnesota Albert Lea’s Wells Fargo Bank, had called him to tell him that he was willing to return that money back to me. This meant that the money was still there in the account. He further requested that I open an account with Wells Fargo Bank, so as to facilitate the wire transfer of the money from Chris Anibal’s account, into my account with Wells Fargo Bank. He initially had told me that Wells Fargo security department had frozen Chris Anibals account. So I did open an account with Wells Fargo Bank. After two weeks ago in that Jeffery had call me to tell me that the real Chris Anibal had call him to tell him that he would be returning my money and after opening the account, today he tells me, that the real Chris Anibal has now refuse to return the money. He said that the only way I was going to get that money back was by pressing charges against Chris Anibal, the owner of the bank account where the money was being laundered. He knows good and well that I cannot do that since Minnesota is beyond the jurisdiction of the New Haven Police department. He then stated that the money was not there, because Chris Anibal had forward the money to the scammers. This means to me that after the fact in knowledge of being use as victim now Chris Anibal has become part of the scammer’s crime. Now this is after they had frozen Chris Anibal’s account and said, that all my money was there except for one thousand dollars that the Chris Anibal had forward to the scammers. Mr. Jeffery Bruneau had told me the last time I talked to him that Chris was closing his bank account with Wells Fargo Bank so as to wire the money to my account. Something sinks about this whole thing and I believe that Wells Fargo Bank is part of the problem. After supplying the bank with irrefutable evidence of the fraud in enough time to recover the money, in which their security department could have verified the evidence, to take the necessary action to keep that money here in the USA or returned to my bank account, they have now changed their story. I need some help with a lawyer; since no one is will to do anything about these people and bank policies where as it concern these types of cases. Something definitely sinks, with Wells Fargo Bank. I will now close my account with them and I would suggest that people who have an account with Wells Fargo Bank to put it somewhere else, because as they have handled my case, so will they do the same to their bank account holders. This bank is the worst bank I have invested in so far. I could not help but notice my balance getting deducted for fees I have not enrolled in, such as last month $13 for service fee for no reason. They would just debit my account on a whim. Then I deposited a check and after a day they debited $95 dollars from it for no reason again. THIS BANK IS SO HUNGRY FOR MONEY. sorry for the words but after a year of transacting with them, I could NEVER recommend WELLSFARGO to any of my friends or family members.
Why can't I put ZERO stars, because they DON'T deserve even a 1/4! I won't go into my story, and agree with the stories and negative comments you all had said of this banking system,(if you wanna call it that!) Anyway, does anyone have the # to the Corporate Headquarters?!!! I am SICK of trying to get a problem resolved with this and that branch, customer service reps, and their supers to get NOWHERE!! I have tried to get their number but told they cannot give it out, so transfer me only to be disconnected in the process! Also, I have tried to find it all over the inet and landed here somehow. I don't know how I can make a complaint about a company who won't do business. I wanted to do a VA Refi, I was told that the process would take 30 days. 60 plus days later I inquire about the status of my Refi and get the run around, next week is what I am almost always told( the broken record). The icing on the cake was the email I received saying if I get paper work in today they can process the Refi by the end of the week after I send the info I get another email stating that there is a back log. I had enough the manger doesn't even have enough courage to get on the phone and talk me. Absolutely horrible customer service and experience. After reading all these horror stories I will take my business to another bank these guys are crooks and manipulators. If you want to have piece of mind stay clear of this racket that call themselves a bank.
