Horrible!
DON'T go to the one in jacksonville north carolina! I asked for my hair to be a little bit blonder and they made it grey! Then when they tried to fix it they made it red with blonde streaks. All i wanted was a lighter blonde. I asked for my money back and the manager (melissa) refused to give me my money. She treated me like i was 2 year's old and talked to me like i was mentally challenged. She said that my hair was the blame for it turning grey. None of the girls who work there do a good job. I know of 12 people that went there that will never go back. The manager is so disrespectful and rude. I witnessed her cursing at a customer there. Disgusting! NEVER GO THERE!!
not good
I went to Ulta on a "on the fly impulse". I paid $45 as the $35 stylists were not working. (I wear very short pixie hair style) I consider this as a high end salon based on where I live compared to what I pay elsewhere in this area. I felt it was mediocre at best. The shampooing was very short with not even a brief scalp massage. There was nothing "extra" for this fairly expensive experience. I was having to keep telling the stylist (who was a very, very nice person, a little too chatty, however) to "take more off" "that bit is longer than the other bit". Anyway, a week later after $55+, it doesn't even look like it's been cut. I've had better "on the fly impulse" cuts at Walmart to be honest, for $15. Never again.
Pathetic
How does a publically traded company hire a new executive at the new salary when the company is poorly structured? The buyers of the products need to be refreshed. The cosmetics colors, etc are so boring. I can never find a lipstick of the color that are in the high fashion magazines. The sales personnel really don't know how to sell and their knowledge on cosmetics and makeovers is so limited. I can out sell any of them and have. 65% cost of sales on the financial. Something is really wrong with this picture or someone is getting big kickbacks and srcewing over the stockholders. Maybe the new chief can fix their messes......their bottom line should be a lot higher.
Worst Management Ever!
Seeing an innocent cashier being bullied by the manager it looked like... yelling at her for something ridiclous. It's terrible how their workers are treated.
Steer clear!
I signed up for the ULTA rewards system in the Roseville, CA store. Big mistake. As one reviewer stated, none of the products that I buy there are ever included in the discount coupons. In addition, I find it difficult to get help in this particular store--the cashiers are always chatting with each other while the customers wait. Finally, I've been trying for MONTHS to get my name off their mailing list, with no luck. The catalogs keep coming, in spite of three letters I've mailed to the corporate office. So unless you want ULTA stuck like a leech on your leg, I advise you not to sign up for their rewards system.
amazing talent
I have been going to Tracey a hairdresser now at the Clearwater store location she is always so funny and cheerful I find that not only I do I love the way my color and cut looks but I hang out and buy a lot of products and cosmetics. I followed this stylist from Tampa because she goes out of her way to make sure my salon excellent is excellent. I often see her helpung the rest of the staff who come to her for advice and even customers who stop her for questions in the middle of styling . Very talented and capable. Susan
Coupons
So sick of your policy on coupons on your excluded products . I spend over 60$ and can never use these coupons .99% of the products in their are excluded that I use .I'M taking my business else where .I'm also a hairdresser and send people their all time .No More!
ad in sale paper
in your weekly sale paper you had an ad that said 8pk Lever 2000 soap 2 for 3 dollars. will the ad was a miss print it should of said 2pk Lever 2000 soap 2 for 3 dollar. I saw the mistake and went back and ask for the 8pk your manager said that the store had no 8pk. in the store and that I'm out of luck. I believe that he had all the 8pk. removed from the shelves and put in the back, this is not fair, he should of given me my 8pk and than remove them. would the company had fold and closed because he give me one??? this is why people stop shopping at store who hire manager, who do not think about customer service and the value of that customer. the mistake was minor but now it major in my mind. I will think twin before I enter your store:( the manage is Tom at 130th and Ashland. Have a nice day
I was in the new store in East Peoria 2 weeks ago and was asked if I needed help. At that point I didn't. I kept looking around and a few moments later was approached by another associate. She was very friendly and asked us if we're finding what we needed. I told her my daughter was getting married and needed some help with some makeup because I know nothing about it. She told us her name was Jackie and invited us to sit down. Lets just say when all was said and done, my daughter looked amazing and loved everything! We walked away with spending a lot more than I was going to but was worth it by far! Jackie was very knowledgeable and made it fun for us during this pre wedding chaos. I can't wait to get all the pictures and bring them in to show her. Even though I don't know a lot about makeup I will continue to shop here and bring my friends. Thanks Jackie!!
Wow. I really wish I had read these BEFORE getting my hair colored at ULTA in Brandon, FL. I really thought my colorist understood what I was asking for when we started...but 3 and 1/2 hours, and $150 dollars later, I was disappointed. My hair is literally the exact opposite of what I was looking for. My dark brown hair now has streaks of coppery orange and bleached-out blond. I really liked my colorist, but am so disappointed in the service I received. Am I wasting my time to ask for my money back? Probably.
Fabulous!
I love the Ulta in Maple Grove, Minnesota. The employees have been extremely helpful each time I visit the store. They are not only professional but also friendly! I love the new rewards program, it allows you to basically receive free money over time just for shopping, I highly recommend it! The only thing I would criticize would be the coupons... Most of them don't work on prestige cosmetics and you have to be paying close attention to the fine print to recognize this. But overall, my experiences at Ulta have always been positive!
homemaker
I had contacted L'Oreal/LancĂ´me about a blush that I haven't been able to locate,so they e-mailed me back to tell me that the item that I was looking for ,could still be found at Ulta, today I went to Ulta and the item has not been available for a long time,so you might want to tell them not to lead the customers astray, the item is FEEL NATURALE light softening Blush in a compact#286,when they make changes, they never let the buyer know, shame on them.
Incompetent Hair Stylists
Carly at the Fargo, ND salon destroyed my hair. My hair had no color in it at all...all I asked for were color and highlights. What I got was orange drab hair. My daughters wedding is this Friday and now I had to make two new appointments with Hair Success to correct this mess. One for correction the second for styling for the wedding day. Thank God I was able to get in at the last minute to fix this disaster. Carly should be stocking shelves not working with peoples hair. The treatment I received was unconscionable. This young woman should be fired. She made one blunder after another to cover what she had done to my hair. Like I can't see a botched hair coloring. How can a stylist mess up coloring virgin hair???
What a rip off!!!
I have been an Ulta customer since 2000 and since then, Ulta has changed its Rewards Program so many times, its almost like changing your underwear. Clearly, Ulta has become like so many companies. They promise you all sorts of neat benefits to get you to spend in their store and then before you know it, there really isn't any benefit at all. I understand that a business needs to make money and that they don't want to be taken advantage of by bad customers. However, this nonsense of let's treat every customer as if they were bad and take their privileges away is ridiculous. Their so-called Rewards Program isn't really a benefit at all and I hope that Ulta customers take their business elsewhere and then Ulta can go out of business.
I went to the Ulta salon for a haircut. The person who cut my hair was a master stylist, she had no idea what she was doing. I kept on telling her what I wanted but left the store very upset. I did not give a tip. Have called the store numerous times to explain to the manager but no one will call me back. Go elsewhere for a cut !!!
I was in your Ulta store located in the Town and Country Shopping center in Housston, Texas today on my lunch hour. The girl that checked me out was extremely young and rude. I have never had a clerk treat me so rudely. The two women behind me in line even noticed and commented. Everytime I have been in that store the clerks are extremely slow. I am usually on my lunch hour. The last time I shopped there I had to wait at least 10 - 15 minutes to get checked out and no one ever called additional help.
Non-Existent Haircut
My daughter went to the Ulta in Silver Spring, MD for a "layered around the face" haircut. $60.00+ dollars later she came home looking like she had never had an appointment. First she had to wait 25 minutes (even with appointment) and then her stylist did nothing but complain about how tired he was and that he still had two more clients. She said his attitude and complaining were so obnoxious She is polite and well-mannered and should have demanded on the spot that he actually do the cut she asked for. I wish I had been there to back her up. I like Ulta but will probably go back to Sephora for cosmetics, etc.
Disappointed
A little disappointed it seems like evrytime i go into Ulta I can never use the coupon. I received a email from Ulta saying to come in and get a free hair spray. Went in purchased $30.00 dollars worth (coupon from Sundays paper would not apply to any of it) and when I gave her my email print off coupon she told me they were the only store that did not receive the hair spray. Once again they just get you in the store, and then change the rules. Think I will be using Target from now on. Sorry Ulta, have been disappointed one too many times in Holland Michigan....I guess if I have to say one good thing it would be the the employees are very helpful and nice.
smell of alcohol
The worst service ever I wish I could give them negative stars. I was in the Boise Id store last week and the salon manager looked like she had a rough night, she just reakked of alcohol and her service was terrible. She was pushing product on me that I didn't need after I told her what I needed. Just very rude I filed a complaint at corporate we will see if they do anything about it, she needs fired!
I normally don't use 'high end' salons, as I've found over the years I've not gotten a cut that has been any more outstanding than the cheaper salons. However, I went to Ulta on "the fly". The $35 stylists were not available, so I ended up with the $45 stylist! She was a lovely person. However, the services offered nothing above a Walmart "on the fly" salon. The hairwash was 'standard' not the massage-like service you would expect. I found myself telling her what to do/cut re: my problem areas, etc. There was constant interruptions with phone calls,(she was on her own) I didn't feel the attention I would expect for that price. After a week now, it looks pretty awful, like it was never cut (I wear very short 'pixie' hair). I need to go and get it cut again. There's no flair to it or very much technique/skill that I can see. I won't do that again.
