1994 toyota camary

I bought my camary in June of 1994, itis still in great condition with over 420000 miles driven

Melting and warping parts

I am wondering when Toyota started using so many parts that warp or melt in the sun. The liftgate handle on my 2007 4 Runner melted and the glove compartment stopped opening because the dash warped in the sun. After a call to Toyota, I am just out of luck. They have no bulletins, not recalls, etc. My extended warranty covered the liftgate handle, but not the dash and there is nothing Toyota can or will do. To correctly fix the glove compartment, the dash has to be replaced. How about using better parts. We own three toyotas, but they may be the last.

2008 Toyota Highlander

Bought my Highlander new in 2008, ran great and was so happy with it. Took it recently to Roseville Toyota in Roseville California for a brake check and they said they needed them, but also they found that the water pump was leaking. Needless to say I am very disappointed every other Toyota I have had has not needed this till way over 90,000. I am only at 63,000 now. Very sad how the quality has really gone down.

Transmission Problem 2007 Toyota Avalon

I have 2007 Toyota Avalon Limited VIN# 4T1BK36B07U230312 that started to have issue with Transmission hesitation issue. I am very pleased with Toyota Brands but getting into frustration that I thought I can have my car lasted up to 200,000 before any major breakdowns but seems like I am wrong. If I drove in gear 1 to 4, there was a hesitation and noise but gear 5 the noise stopped considerably. I am very nervous driving on the road that I might have accident due to transmission issue. Is there anyway Toyota can help me to this problem

I always go to the dealer in Coral Springs (Broward, Florida) because I bought my car. For oil change work they offer "40 points check" and "liquid refills" but for the last 4 times I went to change the oil, they didn't refilled the windshield's water and many times they did not reset the switch for the oil controller on the console. Who assures me that they are doing the complete and accurate work?

Idea

Hello - I have a 2008 Toyota Camry, which I really like. It has'nt given me any trouble over the past 5 years. Thank you!! I have one very big concern - "CIGARETTE BUTTS". Every when I drive to work or go shopping, all I see are cigarette butts all over the place, from people who just flip them out the car window. Isn't there something that your Engineers could design to be put in cars to eliminate this problem? It would be wonderful if your engineers could design a part of the dash where cigarettes could be put out and deposited. I think you would really have a winner here if you could design this. The cigarette butts along the roads go into drains when it rains, and they end up in our very needed clean water. They also are eaten by animals because they don't know any different. If you could do this, a lot of people would be very grateful and your business would increase because you are helping the environment. The US is not an ash tray, so I hope you will consider this idea. Thank you!!

Engine Repair

I purchased my 2007 Toyota Camry brand new off the Modesto Toyota lot. I religiously took in to get serviced to the dealer trusting excellent services would be provided & any major problem diagnosed. To my surprise I took it in for a service on 4/5/13 @ 112,500 miles I was told the engine is leaking oil & I need to replace the engine. An out of pocket cost of $2700 plus labor. I purchased it with the hope that I would get at least a couple hundred thousand miles on my car, but it did not happen. Very disappointed with Toyota on compensating a loyal consumer. :(

River Oaks Toyota, calumet city, Il

I recently received a phone call from a gentleman who explained to my sister that he was the new assistant or manager of the sales department at this dealership. I heard through a friend that the previous owner who I dealt with for over 20 years sold it to another group. I have never received a call in the past unless I had service done on my car or if the gentleman who sold me my last car which was an Avalon called me. I no longer own the Avalon and since this person apparently is trying to drum up some business the appropriate way would have been to send out an introductory letter to this dealerships loyal customers. If he was efficient I'm quite sure he could have checked the ven # to find out about the car I use to own. He left a message for me to call him back. That I will do to let them know, If I want a car I will call them and to take my name off their contact list. I have been very satisfied with Toyota but this dealership is off my list. I get enough annoying sales calls each day. I'm retired and unless I win the lottery I can't afforded a car on my fixed income. If they are giving a car away Ill take it!

Unethical Business

I was a regular customer at World Toyota Atlanta Scion. One day I had sensors for ABS and my Emergency Braking systems activate in the instrument panel. I immediately took my vehicle to World Toyota in Atlanta for analysis. A salesman later came to me and informed me that the Rear ABS Speed Sensor was damaged and with the high maintenance, would cost me over $500. I was suspicious so I decided to conduct my own research. I not only found that the part is easily replaceable in a matter of 15 minutes, but I also found the part available for $137. I wanted to double check to make sure what I had found was accurate, so I went underneath my vehicle only to find the sensor unplugged. Naturally, I plugged it back in and lo and behold, all of the sensors are magically reset on the instrument panel and all is well. This would not be the first time I was suspicious of their tactics. The first time I had become suspicious was when I damaged my alternator fuse in an attempt to replace it. One salesman said it would be $23 to replace which seemed reasonable. However, when I went back later for another quote, that same fuse had inflated to a whopping $250 by the advisory of different salesman. To top it off every "customer service" rep at World Toyota Atlanta has their own spiel of what to "say to corporate" when they call to confirm that customer service was carried out reasonably. I find this to be highly insulting. Needless to say, World Toyota Atlanta has lost my business forever, and I'm in serious doubts of every conducting business with Toyota in any manner whatsoever. WTA needs to realize that their unethical business tactics will come with consequences. I will spread the word on forums and social media sites until I have deemed that this has not gone unnoticed.

I have a 2004 Toyota Solara which has cracks all over the side of the dashboard and glove compartment. From reading other comment from Solara owners I see this is a common complaint. What is Toyota doing to correct this situation? This is the last Toyota I will ever purchase.

TE Tribute

I was just wondering why toyota didn't think about following the trend of American cars like the Mustang, Camaro, and Challenger with their retro tributes... I have 2 1978 corollas, a 1979 Corolla, and a 2001 sr5 prerunner tacoma. I haven't bought anything new because frankly I don't like anything that has been produced in the past 12 years. I'm not alone here. Toyota needs a cool car again, a fun car, a small lightweight, rear wheel drive, fuel efficient, retro car.. TE27 or TE31 corollas are what all of the guys around here want to come back. Any chance of that?

Matrix door fiasco

I own a 2006 Toyota Matrix. My car has been in a Phoenix area auto body shop for two weeks to replace a damaged driver door. The expected time to complete was 1 week. Body shop says the Toyota factory has supplied them with four different doors over the past two weeks and none of them fit correctly. They also told me this has been a recurring problem with Toyota parts. It seems Toyota is not competant enough to run a successful quality control program. On top of that Toyota has decided that they are not concerned with customer satisfactionby refusing to pay for a rental car until this continuing fiasco ends. Body shop is expecting a fith door today....I won't hold my breath.

My Toyota truck

Dear Toyota , Thank you for the best Toyota anyone could ever ask for . I have a 1994 pickup that I use to deliver mail in it has 312,000 + miles on it . I have used it it for over 10 years ad I love my little truck. Just wanted to say thank you ,thank you, thank you .

Prius Plug In

I do like my Prius Plug In, but I am upset about the fact that I am down to 9 miles on a full charge of the battery. When I first bought the car in October 2012 I was getting 14, now I am down to 9 and if I use the heat it knocks another 2 miles right off.

Love Toyota

I have owned a Toyota, Prius, Camry, Tacoma, Matrix and now a brand new 2013 Rav4. I can tell you that each one of these vehicles has performed beyond my expectations. My last trade-in (the Tacoma) had 200K miles on it, was running great and I got a fantastic trade-in allowance on it. It held it's value even with that high mileage. (my condo won't allow a truck to be parked there or I would still have it) The Service Departments at Toyota Dealerships are phenomenal. I get a car wash and a cold beverage is waiting for me when I get my car. They are clean, friendly and professional. They make it extremely difficult to go anywhere else to buy a car.

rave 4 engine problem

Passed warranty by 6 days when engine blew up. Subsequent on line research found that this is common on Rav 4. All my Morristown NJ dealer (who had all the service) would do is waive the inspection fee if I towed it from Virginia to NJ. Beware of Toyota. Never again.

Prius owner

i have a 2012 Prius hybrid purchased in jan 2012 and i must say that i absolutely LOVE MY CAR ! the ride the drive the power the room the miles per gallon there is nothing i do not love !!!!!! i give it 2 thumbs up!! 10 out 10 stars!!! i think everybody should own one!!! thank you toyota

Car Purchase

I bought a Toyota Yaris from Eddy's Toyota in Wichita, KS and I found that there was moisture under the carpet. I was told by the staff that they use pressure washers to detail the inside of the car. The moisture under the carpet can turn to mold or can make the body rust more quickly. They are now going to replace the carpeting and the pads underneath. Nevertheless, the issue remains that they soak the inside of theirs cars with water and do not dry them out enough.

Prius

Dear Toyota: I am writing to express my deepest gratitude and admiration for your Prius hybrids. We had bought one when it was a practically unknown model, at least here in Washington State. It worked out for us beautifully, never had any problems with it and we were satisfied with everything - absolutely everything. One thing we, however, never expected from it, and that was safety in case of collision - we are both experienced drivers with a spotless driving record, so we felt some fragility was an acceptable risk. Recently, though, I was very sick and had to go to our pharmacy for medications, in the early evening, which is my worst time of the day even when I am healthy. On the way home I fell asleep driving, drove off the road and ended up totaling the car (to my greatest regret) after negotiating a very deep ditch full of brambles and various trash, and a solid wooden fence which I also 'totaled'. Imagine my astonishment and relief when I realized that I was absolutely unharmed, not a hair out of place (and I am very vulnerable, having had three surgeries after having broken my back in the past, and suffering from rheumatoid arthritis and various other complaints). The "flimsy" little "plastic car" protected me like a champ it was. It was still running smoothly at that moment, keeping me warm, and all electronics were in perfect working order. I could, and did, turn the engine off and on repeatedly. It was unbelievable, Everybody who came to the accident site (owner of fence, firemen, my husband, Deputy Sheriff, my son and daughter w her husband...) was awed and in disbelief. So, dear manufacturers of my wondrous little plastic car, I bow to your craftsmanship, thoroughness, care, and all you put in the development of this automotive marvel. I do not know how to thank you. Whatever I say cannot come close to being enough. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU TOYOTA!!! Ludmila E. Pugh 9341 58th Ave. SE Olympia, WA 98513

Fraud

I just want to say at Plaza Auto Mall Toyota in Brooklyn NY service department is performing fraud. They tell costumers that there is a problem with their car and they have to call in their extended warranty to get the job approved. well once they get approval for the job they dont even do no work, they call in all these fake claims and no work done to customer, Any time they call in for Rear main seal, front pump seal, rack and pinion reseal. they just call that in because extended warranty pays alot for that and they dont do no work because there is nothing wrong with those cars. So i just wont people to know not to go to Plaza Toyota in Brooklyn NY
