I would like to say my shopping experience was a nightmare I felt like a criminal after I left the store and talked to the corp office. All I wanted was to purchase some allergy meds Store clerk voided a ticket then somehow I get put on a restricted list and I banned from purchasing the item apparently made some list that prevents me from buying my meds from any pharmacy CVS Walgreen and Wal-Mart! The mistake wasn't mind but I have to suffer for 24 to 48 hours for me to come off this list according to the Corp office. Don't understand why I was treated like a criminal. I'm very unhappy with Target as a whole. I would have to recommend to the public to avoid the Target Pharmacy its a nightmare! If these were heart meds and I died then it would be a different story I guess. Now I know how it feels to be judged. VERY UNHAPPY EX-CUSTOMER!!!!!!!!
Target Corporation needs to stop their COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT AND GET THEIR OWN DESIGNS. A little change does make it yours TARGET. You are stealing other peoples hard work. You've done it in the past to several designers. If your customers only knew the real facts, where you get your designer ideas they would be in shock.....
Went to purchase a camera. They were out, but Target 3 miles away had one; however, when we got there it was 20 dollars more that at the original Target. They would not match their own price. We went to Walmart and bought the camera. They match any lower price.
I got a Target gift card, I do not shop at Target because they are over priced and a 45 minute commute from me, so I bought a bunch of junk and looked up their return policy and in it, it states you may return the merchandise for your money back or put it back on your gift card. So I contact Target and they give me a huge attitude about it and state 3 times they don't own their site, it is owned by Amazon.com.. That is not why I am calling, it states in your policy I can get my money back or go back on my gift card, The manager of the store I went to was Megan and I called corporate and the guy I spoke to was Roger. Useless people and store. I did report it to the BBB and something will be done.
My wife went to our local Target store (Hendersonville, TN) to finish up some Christmas shopping for our grandson December 16, 2010. She only had about $250 worth of items when she went to check out. She gave the cashier a check and was then informed that they could not take it. My wife asked to speak to the Manager to find out why our money was no good here. The only person available for her to speak with was the floor manager who appeared to be about 18 years old. She then called the bank who in turn called Target to inform them that there were more then adequate funds in the account to cover the merchandise. Target could not / would not give any explanation as to why they would not accept her check other then "their system sometimes will not take a check." I probably wouldn't be so angry if it had been me but I was at work and my wife, who is legally blind, had to make special arrangements to get to the store. Our banker, who knows our situation, did offer to bring my wife cash to buy the merchandise but my wife was not going to have that. She blessed the floor manager out, called her ride and left the merchandise for the stock people to put back up. Needless to say, we will never shop at a Target store anywhere again and I can only hope that this review will help deter others from patronizing this incompetent non customer oriented chain. It should be quite apparent based on our and the hundreds of other negative feedback that Target in not customer oriented and there are too many other options out there.
In reference to order # 602-5993163-3756238. On Dec. 2, 2010 I Ordered a 1/2 Carat Diamond Stud Earrings in 14K Yellow Gold on target.com for my wife for Christmas. My estimate shipping dilvery was between Dec 9-15. On Dec. 9th Target.com emailed me stating that my order got delaid. I called customer service, which is in Jamaica, who could not advise me why my order delaid. They gave me a next estimate shipping dilvery between Dec. 15-21. At that time it seems ok because I knew I would get it before Christmas. on Dec. 15 I got another email from Target.com advising me that my order got delaid again for the 2nd time. I then called customer service again, which is in Jamaica, who still could not give me a reason for the delaid. After I got off the phone with customer service I started panicing now because at this point i'm thinking I won't have the present for my wife Christmas. I called back customer service at this point so very desperate for some answers. The gentleman from customer service advised me that the item that I ordered is NOT availabe in stock. The website did NOT have the item out of sock. At this point Target.com ran my credit card at the time the order was placed. I asked for the cooperate office phone number and I was placed on hold for approximately 25 min. I finally hang up and went online to find the cooperate office phone number. At the time when I called the cooperate office they were closed. I will calling them at a early time on 12/16/2010 to see whats going on with my wife present and its 1 1/2 week left before Christmas. Can I please get some help.
I have so much better customer service at Walmart and that is sad. I am tired of getting something on clearance and then going up to the check out only to be told that the clearance sticker is wrong and the merchandise is more expensive. This occured to me again today. The manager at the target on wesport road in Louisville Ky. in St. Mathews told me that the item is accually full price. I responded, well every single one on the clearance rack is this price! He responded that a customer much have done it. I put back $85 worth of goods and swore I am done with target. They were rude about this whole thing, like they do not care about loosing another customer. Oh well, hello walmart
I would like to know why the comments I made this past week about my Target experience were not published on this site. Nothing was said in bad taste or with vulgar language - just reporting a bad experience that really should help Target improve . . .
A woman named Debbie was extremely rude to me. I was looking for something and she was walking down the aisle and I said "Excuse Me - Maam" and she kept walking. I said "Excuse Me - Maam" again and she answer "Yes" without even turning around to look at me. She very rudely answered me. I asked where a certain thing was and again, she didn't even turn around - she just waved her left hand and said - "it's in aisle" 34. Well, the aisles were not marked well. So, as a result of that and her extreme rudeness, I asked her her name. She threw up her arm again without looking at me and said "My name's Debbie". I went to the service desk and demanded to see a Manager and by this time, I was livid! I tried to be nice at first with this Debbie, but it did not work. I told the Manager what had happened - he said it would be dealt with - and then I asked him to show me where the item was that I needed. He walked back with me to show me, however, I did not see him go to Debbie at all, so I'm not certain if that was taken care of. You can be sure that I will not be back in a Target if they put up with this type of rudeness! I get my prescriptions there and you can rest assured that I will pull them out of Target also. I have worked in retail before and I can tell you that I would have been fired on the spot if I treated a paying customer like she did and I can't help but think that I am not the only one she has treated like this. If this is the case - why is she still there? She has made me that I will NEVER NEVER go into a Target again! The woman would not even give me the courtesy to turn around and look at me. I will be writing a letter to Management at Target! This is a store in Arlington, Texas
I purchased a Gingerbread Train Kit From the Target Store in Auburn Hills Michigan. The kit says it contains everything you need:16 cookies pieces, building tray, pre-made frosting white & green, and 5 different kinds of candy. They shorted me some of the candy to decorate the train with so I had to purchase more candy on top of the 9.99 I already paid. So I could build this with my grandchild. The box says it was a product of Target and so when I called about it, they blame the manufacture so it's not their problem, but won't tell you who the manufacture is. So be aware that target excepts no responsiblity for there products. I will not purchase Target product again!
Yesterday I had an experience worthy of comedy writing by Tina Fey. I stopped by Target in San Mateo, CA because I was shopping for an office chair and they're next door to Staples. Target had advertised office chairs on sale. The chairs were affixed (bolted?) atop a tall shelf. I spoke to 2 clerks that offered to pull a boxed chair. I said that I couldn't buy a chair if I couldn't SIT in it - heck, I couldn't even touch it! This sales prevention program gets even better. When I asked why I couldn't try out a chair that I would be sitting in 10 hours a day for years, I was told that since the store assembled the chair, if something happened when I sat in the chair, they would be liable! So the chairs are that shoddy??!! (By the way, I'm not obese or even overweight). Now, if they had told me that the store didn't want their customers' bratty kids jumping up and down on them and cracking their skulls, that at least would have been more believable! I told the clerks to tell the manager and they said management didn't care and that I should call an 800 number. Here's the deal, Target: I know you don't care what I think, but I'm a regular shopper and I spend an lot annually with you. I walked out of the store not buying anything feeling quite steamed and disrespected. Once before when I was offended by Target I deliberately didn't shop there for YEARS. I'll probably go back for small items, but I'll tell all my friends about this and am deciding whether to go on Facebook and Twitter. Needless to say, I'll never buy ANY chair in there!
Horrible just horrible..is there a reason why someone decided to make the checkout registers so BIG that the customers in line behind the person being waited on can see that persons personal information as their address and phone numbers and etc..I could not believe how much information is displayed on screen so that everyone in that checkout line can see it..where is the privacy in this day and age I would think that target would protect us when we shop the stores..I am so disgusted by these registers..I cant believe that someone standing behind me can follow me home or still my identity just bc I went in Target to buy something...I hope 2011 they come together and protect while we are shopping until then I will not shop their so my identity can be stolen..
I WAS IN THE STONE YESTERDAY IN THE BRONX,NY AND I MADE $256.00 PURCHASE AND BECAUSE OF THE CHECK BEING OVER WHAT EVER AMOUNT IT WAS OVER IT WAS DECLINED FOR NO REASON. I HAS NEVER WRITTEN ANY BAD CHECK AND I HAD MORE THEN ENOUGH MONEY IN MY ACCOUNT TO COVER THIS AMOUNT. SO I WAS GIVEN A # TO CALL AND I DID THEY COUNLDN'T TELL ME ANYTHING INREGARDS AS TO WHY MY CHECK WASN'T HONERED. I THEN CALLED THE HEADQUARTERS FOR SOME ANSWERS AND GET THE RUN AROUND ASWELL. CAN SOMEONE HELP ME TO GET IN CONTACT WITH SOMEONE THERE HOW WOULD HEAR ME.
Target has the WORST customer service of any store I have EVER shopped at! On Black Friday I ordered 2 Garmin Nuvi 1450LMT GPS units on Target.com. A whole week later on 12/3/10, I received an email that stated that the "item was not as described" so they were canceling my order. They gave me a code and said I could purchase ONE unit at the discounted rate.I called customer service and spoke to about 8 different people who could NEVER help me. They said that they have a shortage of the item and want to make sure everyone gets one. That's a flat out LIE because they are still selling the exact same unit right this very minute and it's still in stock. My original order was for 2 units and I want 2 units. It's ridiculous that they train their customer service reps to repeat the same lines of BS over and over and over instead of actually listening to the customer and trying to GIVE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I even called the coporate office and got the exact same response. I will NEVER shop at Target again. I don't care how good of a price they have on the item or whatever. I hope Target knows that without customers, it will go out of business. They need to learn how to treat their customers better!!!
I went to the Oviedo, FL Target the day after Thanksgiving and purchased some of their door buster flannel sheets. I opened them up today because we are having a freeze tonight (in Florida). These brand new sheets have what looks like mildew stains on them from top to bottom. You could not see it through the packaging. They were obviously stored in a moist place before shipping. And, then Target decided to unload them the day after Thanksgiving. You cannot speak to any management type person when you call the corporate office in Minneapolis. Instead, they force you to speak to a call center where you get customer no-service. I also have a pair of infant shoes from Target that were defective. They were stitched improperly, and a defective piece of leather was used. Target will not do anything about it, because it is over 90 days, and they don't back up their merchandise, even their own brands. (The shoes are a Target brand.)
The nutcases who write stuff about how they don't like Target's conservative politics just don't get it. You will have even less American jobs at Target, WalMart, and everywhere else if you do not lower corporate taxes, lower government spending, lower our national debt, rein in some of the ridiculous demands of unions, keep the cost of employer based health insurance reasonable with market driven solutions, etc. These people need to get an education. We have one of the highest corporate tax rates in the world. If you don't want to talk to customer service in India and you want to buy stuff that is Made in America, then stop voting for tax and spend politicians. And, China owns us lock, stock and barrel, financially. If you don't like that, then stop voting in politicians who will spend us in to oblivion and make us a third world country. You people need to stop complaining about Target's politics and go take an economics class instead.
I am done trying to order on line. I have spent over 2 hours trying to track down an order after I received a dvd for a person who lived in CA. So I don't have my order and neither does she. I am so frustrated that I am not shopping at target again. And why can't they ship to military overseas? They screw up the order and then can't make it good so you can get it to your party in time.
CHESAPEAKE STORE-GREENBRIAR, CHESAPEAKE DEC 6, 2010 THE ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE *EVER* AT THE CUSTOMER SERVICE DESK. THE FOLKS THERE ARE "STUPID" AND TREAT YOU LIKE SCUM AND LAUGH AT YOU WHEN THEY OPENLY SCREW YOU IN PUBLIC. THEY ALSO HAVE NO REGARD FOR THE DISABLED! SHAME ON ALL OF YOU!!!
TARGET STORE IN PITTSBURGH MCNIGHT ROAD.HORRIBLE SERVICE.DID NOT HAVE ADVERTISED TV NOR PLAY STATION3 MOVE BUNDLE.THEY APPARENTLY DO NOT CARE ABOUT SALES.SALESMAN AT STORE TOLD ME TO GO TO BEST BUY NEXT DOOR.I DID AND SPENT $1200.00. I WILL NEVER GO TO TARGET AGAIN..............WENT THERE 12/04-2010
After ordering an item in November for a Christmas present I thought I had plenty of time to receive the order. Target had the item for $199 and free shipping. After waiting nearly a month and calling Target customer service 11 times (nearly 7 hours of accumulated phone time) I was told the only option was for them to cancel the order and reship the item with free 2 day shipping. OK..what else can I do? So they ship the item. Then I get the email showing the price was now $225! I call them again....and I'm told that they cannot honor the original price of $199 and that I have to pay the $225 if I want the item! WTF!!! Bait and Switch tactics of the worst order. I have contacted the attorneys general of my state as well as the better business bureau and will be contacting Target corporate offices as well. Target is really despicable for trying this crap and I for one will not stand for it.
