Target.com/itc posted Through Amazon.com brand new ps3 for 39.99. What a great deal! I purchased 8 of them, one for my family and some for gifts. I got confirmation emails saying thank you for your order, we will ship them to you as soon as they come in. 2 days later I receive emails saying that my orders are canceled because target made a mistake on their price. Now I get no ps3?? Come on target! Do I have to go back to shopping walmart? You had an advertised price.....hold up your end of the bargain!

I recently vistited a Target store in Bloomington, Minnesota. I went to a sales rack, and saw a sweater that I liked, and the price was $5.00, however, the sweater was not in my size, so I went to the next identical sweater on the same rack, and found it in my correct size. I purchased three of these sweaters in different colors, because I could not resist the price of $5.00. These were sweaters that I would only wear under another top, as they were very thin, and so, I would be using them as a Dickie. When I went through my receipts a few days later, I saw that I had paid $12.60 for each sweater. I called the store, and talked to "Dan" who was rude, and hung up on me, when I told him that this was a bait and switch tactic, to put one sweater on a rack at one price and then have the others at higher prices. He told me that I could return the sweaters, which I plan to do, but am prepared for more angst when I do this, as I do not have all of the tags any longer. Another customer service rep there, informed me that one sweater might have a slight difference, like a "size" or a "color", so they are allowed to do this...I still say it is "bait and switch" tactics. When I called the corporate offices, I spoke with a Jennifer (they cannot give a last name or an employee I.D. number), who wanted to argue with me about the fact that I was responsible for checking each sweater for the price, which I do agree, that I should have done this, after this experience and knowing how Target is sneaky about their pricing...however, I will not be going back to Target to give them another opportunity to swindle me. Jennifer put me on hold for an extended period of time, while she connected me to the supervisor, who I had requested when she started arguing with me, and eventually got tired of waiting and hung up, and called the other customer service number, where I spoke with a very pleasant, and curtious person named, Adam. When I told Adam that I felt that this was a bait and switch tactic, he told me that he had to refer me to a supervisor...who I had originally asked to be connected with, when I spoke with Jennifer...the supervisor was arrogant and rude, and again (his name was Derek) wanted to argue with me as to whether or not this was a bait and switch tactic. He gave me the address where I could file a mailed in complaint to Target, and at this point I am wondering if I should waste the stamp. I will not shop at Target any longer, and I don't shop at Walmart either, so it's back to K-Mart for my discount shopping...actually, I have not experienced any "discount" shopping at Target in a long time anyway. Target is a horrible place to shop, with horrible customer ("guest" ha ha ha) service. Done with it.
The worst experience ever i want it to buy a dining table they told me they had it in another location I went there they told will call you back once we have any. time pass by never received a call when again waite almost three hours to delivery come to finally take my table again.... we mess up we don't have. Just horrible experience.
Today on 1/18/2011, I returned 2 clothing items I received as a xmas gift. I had no receipt because it was a gift. I have been a long time shopper at Target and have never returned items before at your stores. So I just assumed I would get a debit card for the returned items. After several attempts with 2 managers telling me the same thing that the items are not in our system, but they were clearly your brands that you sell and the recipient (a family member) no doubt bought these items from Target. First assistant mgr DJ at the Mira Mesa Target in San Diego was matter of fact and not willing to budge continuing to tell me that the items are not in our system that they were probably purchased at discount--so she comes up with 3.00 for a blouse and a pull over Cherokee brand shirt--clearly that was a ridiculous price to set--explaining to me that they were probably purchased on clearance that was why they were not in the system to give a price. I told her that was unreasonable that these items were purchased for a lot more than 3.00--I then asked to speak with another manager that I was most certainly not satisfied by her 3.00 price and her attitude of unwillingness to give satisfactory customer svc experience (might help to train your employees on how the customer experience should be!!) So now I am getting nowhere with the second manager, stating: well those colors would not be able to sell at this store--HUH!! What a ridiculous comment--these items were purchased in December as a xmas gift at your store!! I settled with $3.00 because of the principle of it all other wise I would have left and given the items to Goodwill. CEO's listen up YOU REPRESENT TARGET should open your eyes to the way in which your staff treats the customer's that make your companies profits!! You should re-visit your return policy's and take the example of WALMART--they have the good sense of what a return policy should be and furthermore, and know how to manage a best practice business solution for their customers--take a look at WALMART's return policy--no wonder they are among the top 5 super stores on the Fortune 500 list!! YOU HAVE A LOT TO LEARN and you have lost my 20 years of business shopping at your stores!!!
I have been a Target customer for years. However, this is the first time that I have ordered something on-line, I will not make that mistake again. I was notified 3 weeks AFTER the item was due, that it would be delayed another 3 weeks. I called the number listed and got a service outside the U.S. that was supposed to help me. I was/am extremely disappointed. Unfortunately, this incident will effect by future purchases from Target.
I am highly disappointed in the human error that one of your employees put in the system for PS3 at $39.99. That is false advertisement and everyone should have been honored the sales price at the time of purchase. That is considered FALSE ADVERTISEMENT, but instead of being the bigger people, you all could not even send ouut a courtesy email, with an apology or even some type of compensation. We just got off the phone with a Target customer service rep. who said we are now getting a damn controller, that is not what we ordered. our sales reciept states a console. Target should have more consideration for people who support them by shopping there on a regular basis. Your goal should be to keep current customers and gain new. Incidents like this without any concern or consideration reflects negatively on the Target corporation. How do you think our kids felt when we had to dissapoint them, with the news they would not be getting a PS3. Highly dissapointed, Keir
Anyone who threatens they will no longer shop at Target because of alleged political stances or support...is an idiot. Get serious people!! Target is a wonderful Company and provides Thousands of jobs to people that are Republican & Democrat. Do your whining somewhere else!
I am through with the Target store in Clifton Park, NY. The return policy is rediculous. I purchased am item as a Christmas gift and again the receipt was not in the bag. I did find the purchase on my credit card but that was not good enough. I was told I could not return this item (over $80.00) because the store limit was $70 per year and I did not have the receipt. I never had returned anything to Target so I did not have an ongoing return amount. How can anyone shop at a store with such poor customer service? That was the straw that broke the camels back. I am through with Target and definately tell everyone I know not to shop at a Target store because of the return policy. Nothing was wrong with my item, it was not useful to the person who received it.
To Whom it May Concern: On 1/311 I was shopping at your Little Rock West Target Pharmacy and I had two prescriptions filled. I would like to share my experience. I think is ridiculous that I spent $90.98 for two prescriptions at Target that I could have gotten down the street at Wal-Mart for $50.24. I did not know Target price matched because they do not advertise this fact. In fact when I called the guest relations line I was told by someone named Troy that they did not. I asked to speak to his supervisor and someone by the name of Mary informed me that they DO price match on prescriptions as long as it is not through a discount card or anything like that. I called and spoke with the Pharmacy Manager Paul and he refused to refund the money because "I should have asked for the price match at the time of purchase." Had I known, I would have because it would have saved me $40.04! I told him that they did not have a sign advertising that they price matched and he just ignored me. This was the Pharmacy Manager! So I called the store and asked to speak to the store manager. I was transferred to Kimberly who is a Hard Line Executive Team LEAD and she said that what that pharmacy manager said stood but offered to give me the number to corporate. I then called corporate and spoke to a guest relations person named Kay who put me on hold several times to research the issue. After much time they decided that the pharmacy manager had the final say. I think that is ridiculous. Times are hard enough on people without you ripping them off. You should have a "We price match Guarantee" because people do not know and your employees could care less. I will tell you one thing, you lost a customer today and hopefully after relaying my tale to my facebook friends you lose a lot more. My $91 may not mean much to you but if several people stop using your pharmacy, I bet it adds up.
I went to the Target store on Hylan Drive, Henrietta, NY and went to the ladies room. There was a piece of human waste on the floor and someone stepped in it and walked to the sink and out the door. The store is a mess and has the cheapest clothes I have ever seen. I will never ever go to a Target store again! I am telling everyone I know not to because of the crap (literally) that was in the bathroom.
I was recently went into the Salinas Ca Target Store, hoping the store could help me with a problem. My mother bought my daughter a notebook over the holidays, an Acer Notebook, thinking Target values its customers I was thinking they would be willing to exchange the notebook for one without any defects. Since I have always taken items to target without any problems when its gifts given over the holidays. But because my mother didn't include the receipt with the gift, Store Manager Bhuvik Patel said they couldn't exchange it. That I should call the manufacture, which makes prefect sense if my mother bought the Acer Notebook from the Acer. But she didn't the transaction was done through Target. Which in my mind they should handle the problem big or small if they value there customers and Value the might dollar we bring to them and there share holders. I could understand the whole receipt deal if I was asking for cash without any receipt. But that's not the case I was asking for the same item at the same price, nothing other then what my mother bought my daughter. But one that works, so what's the problem here? I believe Target doesn't value there customers but instead trains there employees very well in giving you the run around. And to top it off I thinking I going to deal with someone in America to help me with my issue but instead all customer service is, is cheap service sent over seas, I went from talking to one of the customer service employee just to be hung up on by the employees own boss who manages the customer service. Once I get the original receipt from my Mother to handle this, I will never take my business to Target again. And anyone I know or those who I do business with I will recommend to them not to shop with Target based on my experience with the store and there corporate phone number the store manager gave me.
BUYER BEWARE---We received a Wii as a Christmas gift. When we opened it we noticed that one of the game discs was missing so we immediately packaged it back up to return with our gift receipt. Well once I made it to customer service I explained why I wanted to exchange the Wii. The customer service person opened the package even even further and noticed that there was also an old Wii inside. So obviously the gift we received was a repackaged return that was not fully inspected upon return. The first thing the clerk says is this an older Wii , it's dirty, I need to call the manager to see if we can take this as a return. There was no apology for the fact that a used machine was sold but it felt more like they thought I may be trying to return this for a new machine. Once the manager arrived my hopes for exchange went nowhere fast. The short of it is he (Grad Griffiths) said my store is not going to take the loss. I was told every store has it's own policy. Then he called me argumentive, rude because I pointed out how Target is million dollar corporation and they are going to make the customer pay for the loss/ shrinkage?? I pointed out how are you to know what is in the package when you purchase it --not until you ge tit home will you know, in our case when we opened the gift. Brad told me the customer can open the package at the check out after purchase for inspection--what is this a fast food drive thru??? Now the givers will try to return the gift at the store where it was purchase over a 100 miles away from us. I'm not optimistc. TARGET chose a loss of 1000's of dollars from for the $200 loss they are passing on to my family. I WILL NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN AND WILL SPREAD MY STORY TO ENCOURAGE OTHERS NOT EITHER.
Target "was" one of my favorite stores...I spend a lot of money there but this newest event has totally peeved me. I bought rainboots at target for a Christmas gift. Yes, 3 months in advance because when someone says they want something I buy it asap. So needless to say they are too big and I believe mis-sized and they dont fit. Now Im stuck with them, don't know anyone that wears this size and even though they are still available on-line, they wont let me exchange or get store credit. A lot of stores with extend their return policy for Christmas purchases! They are still in box, still have tags, and I have the receipt. Besides the fact that the return cashier was rude, I could barely understand the C.S. rep. on the help line...Im stuck with these boots and now have to buy the person I intended them for a new pair. Thanks Target for taking care of your used to be faithful customer!!
I went into Target today in Watertown, NY Store #2253 so my boys could use their gift cards they received for the holidays. It was Sunday about 4:45 and they wanted something to snack on. I went over to the food counter and ordered some chicken tenders. The employee there was very rude in stating "it takes 15 minutes!". I said it was fine that I would wait and preceded to ask for nachos. She said, "we don't have any nachos.", so I asked for a cheese pretezel and she said again, "no cheese pretzels." I looked at the hot dogs but they looked like they'd been there way to long, so I asked if I could get a pizza and guess what? She said "we don't have any pizza either.". By now I was noticing she was like getting upset at me and I said Do you have anything? She just like rolled her eyes. I was so disappointed and just walked away. While walking away, I saw the soda fountain area was dirty and strewn with napkins, straws, spills, etc. When I came back to pick up my tenders, they were tiny and kind of hard. I asked for take out box and she didn't have a take out box either and like pushed them toward me in a bad mood. I had never had service like this there or anywhere else, its ridiculous. To top it off, I went to buy a Hello Kitty toaster that was on the shelf for $9.99, but at the register rang up $19.99. The employee did not even bother to check and said I could not get it for $9.99. Well, bye bye Target and hello any other store, but Target. This used to be a clean, and friendly store, but not any more.
Bad return policy! As a Christmas gift I received a "Target brand shirt" , it was to small so I went to make an even exhanged ( so I thought ). Sense I did not have the receipt the sales clerk to me that I could exchange it, but it would cost me $4.23 to do so. She said it was because the shirt was at full price when it was purchased but now it was on sale and I would need to pay the difference!!??? Talk about crazy ! This is plain criminal! So now I am stuck with a shirt that does not fit... So, I made calls to Corporate to no avail. This has not been the first time I have had trouble with Target, but now this tops it all and I will NOT shop at Target ever again.. and I plan to tell my family and friends to do the same... I mean, what is this company thinking? certainly not the customer. I will continue to shop at Kohls, K-mart, Marshalls ect.. they all have normal return policys.
Very upset that the ipod I ordered was returned back to target as the problem was it was shipped different method thank my other 5 packages. I am now being told that I can't get a replacement that I have to buy another one and pretty much won't get a refund for the other one if they don't return it. I had the same issue w/ Walmart.com and they sent me a replacement no problem at all and I didn't have to buy another and hope that I would be refunded..
Target.com is committing fraud by advertising items at discount prices, taking orders for items they do not even have in stock, and then cancelling your "sale" items under the category of "out of stock" or "pricing error". The goal here is that you will buy other items while you are online, and keep all the regular priced items. This practice seems to be increasing by many online retailers. I do almost all my holiday shopping online, and this has happened to me an unbelieveable 4 times this season. BEWARE OF TARGET.COM.......they will not assist you with any issues or disputes, and their Coporate Office will not assist either. I was just told that Target.com is a separate entity (under the same Corporate umbrella) and that only Target.com can resolve errors or disputes, which they won't. My warning to you.....Do your holiday shopping elsewhere!
I have ordered items from several different websites and am very dissappointed in the behavior and actions of target One Dec. 17, 2010 I ordered Christmas Items from Target.com. First they overcharged my account 209.49 on the eve of Christmas and stated that it was my banks responisblity to correct their mistake.Called TARGET.COM CS which is in Menilla and India and no one understood what I was talking aobut.Called coperate office in the United States and spoke to TRoy and Cluadia who stated that they do not handle on-line services and told me they had nothing to do with it and could not help me and hung up on me!!!THIS IS A MESS AND I AM CLOSING MY TARGET CARD AND WILL NOT SHOP AT ANY TARGET STORE!!!I AM STICKING WITH WALMART!!
I just left the Target store located in Burlington NJ off rte 541 where I am an avid consumer. I shop there at least 3x a week but they've just lost a customer and my huge extended friends and NY family circles! I purchased a dance workout wii game late last night and popped it in today. It turned out to be nothing that I expected it to be on the poor side and so I visited the store to exchange it for something else. The sales associate,JENNIFER,had a huge wall up from the onset that screamed she had no intent to assist me in any way. SHe called for her team leader, Mary, who then called Mandy the manager on duty and all three of them blew me off within minutes. They said there are NO REFUNDS on games of any kind and I basically just have to eat the purchase though it was purchased within a 24hour window and I did have my receipt!! I cannot say how disappointed and upset I am moreso because I never expected to be chased away like that from a store that I've spent so much of my hard earned money in. I guess when it comes to $30 bucks, Target has zero customer care! I will suffer the loss and take my business to Walmart and such from here on out!!!! Thanks for the wake up call.
