I will no longer shop at target since you support the homosexual movement which is decaying the foundation of traditional (and normal) marriage. Also since you do not support our military. I will be sure to tell all my friends and family to do the same. Oh, and then there is the CHRISTmas thing! I am offended. You chose to be in America, and now you insult God,( on which our nation was founded), Christians, Conservatives, military, traditional marriage, Salvation Army, and our intelligence! Since when does the minority represent the majority???!!! Get out of the very liberal agenda and the USA!
I have been a loyal customer to target for many years I have always enjoyed my shopping experiences, until recently I have had 2 very bad experiences the first was about 2/3 weeks ago with one of your cashiers who was rude to me and threw my bag because he wanted to fill the bag to the top and because I took it he got upset. I asked to speak with a manger who assisted me and was courteous so I left the situation only. BUT today it happen again and this time I refuse to stay quiet after finishing my shopping I went over to the customer service desk to ask for change for a $20 bill one of the lady's there proceeded to open the register to help me and Christine ( don't know her last name but this all happened at 9:30 p.m. at your arlington heights location, IL on rand road) she was EXTREAMLY RUDE she refused to help me and while the other lady behind the counter insisted they can she flat out told the lady no! Do not do it! That i would have to spend money there I advised her i just did i finshed paying for my purchase totaling over $200.00. I could not believe how she handle the situation when I asked to speak with a supervisor she advised me she was the supervisor And her manager would tell me the same thing. I don't understand how she was giving that title of "supervisor" but yet have no courtesy to the customer I could easily go to another store and spend my hard earned money there which I intend to do cause this is ridiculous. If your policy is no change I understand that but she could have handle the situation better. Not only was I disrespected by (2) of your employees at the same store I also felt as I was being belittle by both of your employees. I plan on getting in contact with better business bureau as well as consumer services if I don't hear back from you as I will believe I have been ignored. I do hope someone really looks into this location and reevaluate the people you have representing your company.
Target is a JOKE!!!!!! I am so disguisted with myself. I live in a community where your option are limited, so the local target it is. I purchased a microwave from target and I had it two weeks and it went haywire. I contacted the store they told me to bring it in. I requested a refund they refused and stated they could not give me credit with the receipt, I had to contact the manufacturer. The next incident was a printer with an extended warranty purchase. My fiance purchased the printer and it just stopped working in May. Shipped it out to the Target warranty company. They verified receipt of the printer on May 5, 2012. Waiting on gift certificate have never received it and it is know June 1, 2012. Contacted Target complaint they politely informed me they cant do anything but document the complaint. I went to the store seeking assistance they can't help me know the receipt has expired. Are you SERIOUS!! And what else could go wrong............the electric teapot my fiance purchased literally fell apart while picking it up by the handle. I DARE to take any action on this one, Im taking it as a loss. However, I have contacted a consumer attorney and consumer affairs............some may say that's extreme but It is the principle of it and I refuse to allow them to just take my money and brush me off. We work too hard, I'm not in the business of JUST GIVING money away.
I am disappointed in Target's decision to raise money for the Gay community. With so many issues to support, so many completely accepted organizations (that Target will not support, veterans, red cross...), I am astounded by this declaration of support. I am not a hater, but I do beleive that marriage is between one man and one woman, and I will not spend my money someplace that uses it to diminish my beleifs. Sorry Target, I'll be shopping elsewhere.
so my current choice of shopping in my local area is Target and Walmart. My family and I spend only around 5-6 grand a year at these stores since I now do most of my shopping online. Now, however, Target has chosen to support "gay marriage" to the fullest. Easy choice for me. Target is no longer in my sights as a legitimate place to do business. And, thanks to facebook and other social outlets, I will let my friends know it is off my list.
Target has just lost my business. I am emailing over 100 family and friends. Homosexuality is wicked.
Today, I was told by a Target pharmacist, three times, "perhaps you would like to find another pharmacy, we can transfer your prescriptions." This was a Turlock, California Target pharmacy and she was obviously angry because of my request she contact my doctor and explain why she could not fill the prescription (on time).
I am so disgusted that your corporation has decided to sell 'Pride tee-shirts' during the month of June!!! I understand you intend to SUPPORT PRO-HOMOSEXUAL marriage and donate profits to a D.C. organization that will in turn help to fight against the Marriage Amendment being presented to the Minnesota voters in November!! I have notified family and friends and asked them to boycott Target until you take yourselves OUT OF A POLITICAL ARENA that is not supported by the majority of Americans.
Today, I had to do a little shopping so I went down to my local Target store in Panama City Beach Florida. As I was walking across the parking lot, the strap on my flip flop broke. I picked it up and after looking it over I knew that it couldnt be repaired and that I would have to add a pair of flops to my list. Walking in the store, I was holding one shoe in my hand and the other was on my foot. (Being a beach located Target, people walk around in swim suites and barefooted ALOT!) Rather than shopping barefooted, I chose a pair of flops and slipped them on my feet, leaving the price tag on the left shoe. I picked up 2 tops and 2 pairs of shorts and proceeded to the dressing room. When the dressing room attendant asked me how many items I had, I showed her my broken shoe and the new pair I had on my feet with the price tag still attached. She then told me that I would need to be escorted to the check out line to pay for my shoes BEFORE I continued to shop or try on clothes. Another attendant talked her into letting me try on the clothes since I was already in the back of the store. I tried on the clothes and only liked one shirt and intended on continueing to shop. When I returned to the dressing counter I was told again that I would be escorted to the front counter to pay for the shoes and I could continue to shop AFTER the shoes were paid for. I felt like I was being insulted and they thought I was some kind of shoplifter. If I had intended on NOT paying for the shoes, I wouldnt have pointed it out to them that I was wearing them in the first place. I told them that was fine and threw the shirt down that I had intended on buying and went to the front counter. Once there I asked for a manager and told him that I was very insulted. He just scoffed at me and told me that he was sorry but there was nothing he could do to make it up to me and if I choose not to shop at Target, it was my choice. I really hated having to buy the shoes by then. If it hadnt been for the fact that the blacktop would have scorched my feet on the way to my car, I would have walked out without giving them any money at all and went on my way barefooted! I will not be shopping at Target anymore and I will tell everyone I can tell how poorly they treat their customers!
I loved working here ... they have a nice enviornment.... my supervisor jordan, caroline and linda were really helpful ladies .. they have been really appreciating I wish I could stay there for a long time thankq target :)
First off I am a current Target team member!!! I have a few conerns: 1. I am not able to find a team member handbook anywhere! 2. I have questions and no one seems to be able to answer them... 3. I have called a over three different places to try to get answers, to my concerns&still NO answer; instead I get hung up on... Sad to say as a team member, I have been spit on, I have had money thrown at me, I have been cussed out(because of a guest being denied to check out in a closed lane), etc. I am tired of the run around, our store currently has one person for each section of the store,(seasonal, tables, etc) Now i'm just asking "why is that"..
I visited a Target in Great Falls, mont.in December. No Christmas music and no one saying "merry Christmas because your store would not allow it.BUT...you want customers to purchase all your Christmas(dare I say the word) stock. What am I missing---Christmas or the celebration of Christ's birthday--is the reason you have holidays and make a big profit on your products.So..I encourage the folks not to support you if they embrace Christmas.
Target is pushing the homosexual agenda down our throats like Hollywood. I WILL NOT SHOP THERE UNTIL THEY CHANGE THEIR ATTITUDE TOWARDS CONSERVATIVE AMERICANS. GO BACK TO FREAKING FRANCE, TARGET. THAT'S OBVIOUSLY WHERE YOU BELONG.
Chairman Steinhafel: Thirty-one states have overwhelmingly voted for constitutional amendments to protect marriage as only between one-man, one-woman. And your company does business in all of these states. That's why I can't understand why Target would purposely choose to offend me and a clear majority of Americans by donating cash to support the Family Equality Council's push for legalizing homosexual marriage. I urge you to reconsider this promotion and stop supporting a gay marriage campaign which is in reality an effort to destroy the institution of traditional Marriage. Otherwise, I will stop shopping at your stores and choose to make my purchases from your direct competitors. I will also do everything I can to encourage others to do the same. Unfortunately I am a Target team member and I am being harassed by another coworker. I am the only female in my department and I am openly gay and I can't take anymore the harrasment that I am being a victim off. I already spoke with my immediate supervisor, with the store manager and with the head of HR and no one seems to be taking seriously my complaint. So I decide to contact the integrity hotline because maybe somebody else in corporate will care but I guess not because everytime I call I get disconnected. I'm very dissapointed. When I started working for Target I never tought that they will treat their employees so bad. Obviously gay people are not welcome in Target.
Target's website says it will donate 100% of T-shirt sales from customers during the month of June to Family Equality Council. I will no longer shop at Target.
Boycotting Target for it's discriminatory practices should start now! Target Stores - What a surprise! Wasn't it last Christmas that Target refused to let the Salvation Army ring their bells in front of their stores? Dick Forrey of the Vietnam Veterans Association wrote. 'Recently we asked the local TARGET store to be a proud sponsor of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall during our spring recognition event. We received the following reply from the local TARGET management: ' Veterans do not meet our area of giving. We only donate to the arts, social action groups, gay & lesbian causes, and education.' So I'm thinking, if the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall and veterans in general, do not meet their donation criteria, then something is really wrong at this TARGET store. We were not asking for thousands of dollars, not even hundreds, just a small sponsorship for a memorial remembrance. As a follow-up, I, E-mailed the TARGETU.S.. Corporate Headquarters and their response was the same... That's their national policy!!! Then I looked into the company further.. They will not allow the Marines to collect for 'Toys for Tots'at any of their stores. And during the recent Iraq deployment, they would not allow families of employees who were called up for active duty to continue their insurance coverage while they were on military service.. Then as I dig further, TARGET is a French-owned corporation. Now, I'm thinking again.. If TARGET cannot support American (or Canadian) Veterans, then why should my family and I support their stores by spending our hard earned American (or Canadian) dollars in their stores??? And, have their profits sent to France .. Without the American (and Canadian) Vets, where would France be today? 'They, most likely would be speaking German and trading in Deutsch Marks' Sincerely, Dick Forrey Veterans Helping Veterans Please send this on to everyone you know to let Target know we don't need them either ! We're all in a position to reduce sales to these stores as soon as this get around! ! ! ! ....SO THERE IS POWER IN THE PEN!!!!!!!!!!!!
I walk out of Target at closing time, say good bye to the security guard, shoved my receipt and credit card in my purse, and started unloading my items. The security guard comes all the way out to my car to ask if the 12 pack of soda that was under my card was paid for Since I had nothing to hide, I dug through my purse, while customers stared as they walked by. I asked the security guard if he would unload my few bags, yah right! I showed him the receipt with the paid for 12 pack and left, humiliated. The more I thought about it the more I got upset. I went back the next day and talked to a manager named Sean. He was totaly understanding and agreed that the security guard should not have followed me out to my car, if anything, the guard could have asked me at the door. Sean said he would look at the surveilance video and asked me to call back later in the day. I ended up going back to Target 20 minutes later for a forgotten item. The cart wipes were empty so I did what I have done so many times before, I grabbed a "Wetones" $1.00 pack from one of the checkstands "right in front of Sean, because I had nothing to hide!" I noticed photo albums on sale that were 15.00 to $3.50. I put 3 in my cart, and checked the price, 2 out of 3 photo albums were ringing up at $15.00, I asked Sean about it and he said that those are the correct prices, I asked if he could do anything about the price since they were the same exact photo albums, the only difference is one said, "Mother" and the other two said "Nana" but same exact style, fabric, everthing! No big deal, although Sean looked as if I had just asked hime for a million dollars, he had this weird attitude and looked as if he was about to have a stroke, it really wasn't that big of a deal, I wasn't demanding, I just asked. Then......Sean did the most unbelievable, thoughtless, rude, insulting thing! Out of nowhere, as the cashier is ringing up my items and bagging them, Sean asked, "Are you going to pay for those wetwipes?" Are you freaking kidding me? Did he forget how insulted I was about the seurity guard questioning my integrity? Unbelievable! I hurtfully looked at Sean and told him that the wipes were being rung up by the cashier. Where did that quesion come from? We were talking about photo albums! I just walked away and went to find the store manager, She was a joke! She did not hear a word I was saying, She even asked, did you pay for the drinks under your cart? WHAT??? HER TOO? I am so done with Target and the way they are treating me! I am the customer that picks up things that are on the isle floor! If there are clothes on the floor, I hang them back up so nobody steps on them! Even if I didn't do all that, nobody deserves to be treated like that! BOYCOTT Target! Walmart here I come!!
I thought your logo had a red center only but the commercial that shows on tv now of a beach scene shows a white center with red rings. How disappointing. I always liked the red center. Are you changing your logo? too bad--I like the red center and I couldn't believe my eyes when I keep seeing a repeat of that ad!
