I have never heard something so ridiculous as to when I walked into the local TGIFridays in Mechanicsburg,PA store and came to find the best male bartender I've ever had the pleasure of being waited on by.. WAS GONE. He was gone because a man clearly old enough to be served a beverage ordered a drink and turned out to be an undercover lcb agent. So Brett was fired on the spot. Haven't you people ever heard of second chances? And to add fuel to the fire the jackass general manager made Brett finish his shift out, clean the bar, and then he was asked to leave and never return to his job. There are very few friendly and efficient workers than Brett and a few of his other good friends that are employed at Friday's... Way to take a part of their family away. Maybe he general manager THAT NEVER CARDS ME SHOULD BE FIRED. I am 22 years old and look like I'm about 16 or 17. I have been there so many times where he did not card me and has no idea who I am. But Brett who has worked there for probably four or five years gets fired after one small mistake? Is the policy as Fridays you have to look forty or older to not be carded? I hope justice can be served here, this is absolutely absurd. I know that I will NEVER EVER STEP FOOT IN A TGIFRIDAYS EVER AGAIN.
I was very upset when I came into TGI Fridays at Sam's Town Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas this afternoon and found out your waitress, Krista and your manager told me that your company did away with one of the best menus "Chicken with Broccoli with gravy over bake potato." I really enjoyed this particular food. I hope you will put in back on your menu. Marilyn Thompson Las Vegas, Nevada
I have been coming to Fridays and even recommending it to friends for years now. I, myself, am a waitress for an OSI company and am very familiar with this industry. Nobody likes it when a group comes in the hour before close but its our job; thus, we deal with it and provide the best service we can. I will NEVER recommend to TGI Friday's on Rockville Pike again! this was the most appalling experience i have ever had at a restaurant. the bartenders gave us great service and my complaint is not against them. i was with a group of other servers and we had just gotten off work when we decided to come in and eat at the bar.the meal went fine, food was good, and the drinks were good. At the end of our meal an aggressive white man who (and i seriously intend no sarcasm)we all thought was drunk came and yelled at myself and another lady with our group that we had 15 minutes to finish our food an "get out" while nursing whatever it was he had in a styrofoam cup. we were already sorting out our bill and packing our food to go so as not to be a pain when this guy came by. the guys with us even scooted closer to my friend and i because some weirdo was yelling at us and appeared to be picking a fight with a patron behind us. Then, to top it off he and an old man start screaming like they are looking for a fight at all the patrons to drink up. Is it really necessary to encourage people to chug their alcohol and then get out and drive home? way to be responsible. these men were aggressive as hell and were even goading people into a physical altercation (which we all stared at in shock and were afraid a fight would break out)out when they decided to start taking cups from peoples lips and tossing them over the bar like animals. the only time i have seen people act this reckless and belligerent is when i've had to deal with drunks camping at my own job and picking fights. these so called managers took full beers and dumped them out in front of customers while goading. this was childish behavior and i cannot believe it is tolerated by your company. i will never go back to that restaurant nor recommend it again. these guys didn't listen to a single thing their customers had to say and sent a full bar of angry people storming out while their bartenders sat by looking like they hated simply being there. we paid our full bill even though three tall beers and a margarita were tossed out and our coworker was shoved around like we were kids in a school yard and had a margarita snatched from his mouth as he way drinking from the straw! are you serious! it was ridiculous!
I am at store 2311 and our server Megan Ward has made me a new loyal customer for TIGI Fridays! This young lady has made my dining experience so awesome!!! Thank you Megan! Because of her, my food tasted even better because of the level of service this young lady has provided for me! I think someone should do something special for her for showing me ,the customer, that I am important to her! Thanks again Megan, you rock!!!!
I will never go to a tgi fridays again. Service was very poor plates never removed from table waiter forgot about us. Very rude. Found a piece of hair in our cheesecakes that so happened to match the bartender's hair Color. Piece of hair had obviously been placed in cheesecakes from how it looked. Manager took of dessert when she should of just taken the whole bill off. When you find a piece of hair in your food that simply shows the lack of customer service they have. I work at a restaurant and had just gotten off of work and gone out with some friends. Worst night and dinning experience. Never again.
I am a employee at the Kenwood Fridays. We all love our Manager Amy. However we see that everyday and I have personally walked in on Cocaine being used by her. Really this is no surprise to all the employees as this has been going on for years. Even at the other positions she has had . Problem is sometimes it is stil on her nose and she is greeting people, I fear that this will offend people when her nose is always running and if she is not careful to wipe her nose. Maybe drug testing at Fridays would not be a bad idea. I had a customer approch me and question the fact she seemed out of sorts and I had another gentleman ask me if she was a cocaine user. bad business.
I used to visit TGIF for many years, whenever I was on the road, and it was a good place to eat and enjoy. It has been a few years since I last had the pleasure so I was most interested when you started building a new one in Bayonne, NJ. However, it has been a major disappointment. My problems all appear to be corporate policy and decisions. I was seated in a booth for two, where the table appeared to 2X2 if that. I haven't seen a table like that since the old night club days. It was so small a drink was spilled trying to get everything of the table. I had a Ham Melt, although I don't know why you call it a melt. It was so loaded with mustard I couldn't taste anything else and the ham was so salty I had to stop eating it. The noise in the dining area I could only compare to the inside of a Hard Rock Cafe. I could not have a decent conversation with my wife seated 2 feet away. It wasn't the people it is the acoustics of the room. My wife noted that there were no Christmas Decorations and asked the Manager if you ever decorate for Christmas. We were told no. I guess that goes along with your obvious attempt to modify your famous name "Thank God It's Friday" has been reduced to Fridays. I have to wonder who is making these executive decisions. In any case Bayonne has so many great local restaurants and the other chains like Houlihans are fully decorated, festive, and the management goes way out of their way to make sure you are enjoying your meal, that I would like to make a predication. After the novelty has worn off and the people have experienced your restaurant, you will not see much business from the local people of this city and will have to depend on transit shoppers for your revenue. I can't see you statying here too long.
TGIF in valparaiso, in used to be a great place to go. However lately they are out of food. French fries, shrimp different condiments even toliet paper for bathrooms. Those poor servers are having to explain this to customers some of whom get up and walk out. No one (while I was there) took it out on servers. These poor kids are expected to sell gift cards or be wrote up. So we can't give you half your order but do buy a couple of gift cards. That manager needs to be escorted out and tossed on his butt. Obviously he doesn't know the first thing about ordering supplies.
I love going to Fridays, I take my childern or dine with family and friends often throughout the year. On yesterday however when I dined with my youngest child upon leaving I requested a to go order for my older child I paid cash for our meal and was trying to pay for my daughters meal with a debit card. The waitress brought the card back did I have another card becasue this one did not work. I ask how much was the meal she said $12.98, I then told her I didn't know why becasue I knew I had as least $14 on that card. So I gave her cash I wasn't planning on spending. Today I'm checking that debit card for recent transactions and the exact amount I had on the card $14.62 was debited from that card. So I paid cash my meal and the to go order, plus a debit. So my rate is going down until I get a refund and an a apology from that waitress. store# 0130. I still love Fridays but this can't be happening to your faithful customers. thanks
My significant other and I went to TGI Fridays last night and had a remarkable time. (17427 Colima Rd. Rowland Heights, CA 91748) We were celebrating our anniversary, and I wanted the night to be perfect, and the managers Tony, and Sherrie, the server Jacqueline, and the awesome hosts, allowed our day of reflection to feel like a spring love story movie. I was enamored by their courtesy and professionalism. I was overwhelmed by their excellent customer service and jovial attitudes. Our date went better than I could have ever expected, and I wanted to let the corpoate headquarters know that this staff was amazing! This is going to be a location that we frequent and one that we will tell friends and family members about for years to come. I appreciate when someone goes the extra mile, to make me feel comfortable and is compassionate to my needs. This experience is one that I will cherish the rest of my life! Thank you TGI Fridays!
i wish that i could give o stars beacuse it was the worst thing that hapend to me and my husben ,we whent out to dinner on december 6,2011 to tji fridays and will waiting for our food to be brought out to us we notice that there was a roch walking down the wall tours the tabole and worst of all with an egg it was so discusting that we couldnt stay to eat. But thats not all wen we told one of the buss boys about it he saw the roch as well as we did he told us just move to the other tabole, So we told our waitres about it and she quickly whent and told the manager i was very but very disapointed on the way that the manager hendale the situation. HE TOLD US I DO APOLOGISE FOR THE INCONVENIENCE LET ME MOVE YOU FROM TABOLE. SO I WOULD NEVER EVER EAT AT THE PLACE EVERE AGAIN AND TRUSE ME IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO EAT WITH ROCHES WALKING AROUND WITH EGGS THEN BE MORE THEN WELCOME THE RESTURANT IS ONLY 5 MINUTES AWAY FROM THE ORLANDO INTERNATINAL AIR PORT ON THE STREET TG LEE BLVD.
I WAS an employee for the TGI Fridays in Lake grove, NY for a year and 3 months. In that year and three months i dedicated my life to that place to try and get the location EYS validated. ALWAYS in the NPS reports i had many compliments and promoters NEVER any complaints and detractors. Until this past tuesday the new NPS report comes out and i had 3 complaints for things that usually do not happen with me. I did not refill 2 cokes fast enough for one table, i fotgot to drop off appetizer plates to another (OOOOPPPSS IM SORRY YOU ARE NOT THE ONLY TABLE I WAS TAKING CARE OF AT THE MOMENT). And last i did not prebus 2 plates off another table which upon me going to the table to ask if they wanted to try any of our desserts they said WHILE still eating their cajun shrimp and chicken pasta and jack daniels ribs with about 9 ramekins of jack daniels glaze that i glady retreived everytime they wanted it, "can we have the bill?". SO like they had asked i brought over their bill as they are STILL munching on the food. HOW THE HELL AM I TO PREBUS THOSE DISHES IF YOU ARE STILL EATING OFF OF THEM?!?!?!?!?!?. Anyway, i go into work this past tuesday (yes the tuesday right before thanksgiving AND black friday a huge money day) and my general manager asks to speak with me. Well speaking with me ended with the words "i think its time we part ways" as she tries to hold back tears of regret. I am sorry but if you are about to cry because you had to fire me then that means you are making a terrible decision and you know it, but that wouldnt be the only terrible decision she has made. I would like to express that my termination was UNLAWFUL and wrong. I received no warning, had only 1 write up which was NOT discussed while she was firing me and those 3 mistakes are mistakes made by EVERYONE EVERYDAY. You might as well just fire your entire staff you sad excuse for a general manager with lack of knowledge in every aspect of the restaurant business.
Wow!! I have not had dinner at TGIFridays since the change in design. Since I was provided a coupon, I decided to go and have dinner. My husband ordered the JD chicken strips and I ordered the Turkey burger. The "famous" JD chicken strips had changed fro full size chicken strips with the seasme seeds and slaw to MC Donald chicken McNuggets and slightly burnt!! Terrible!! You Need To Change the Strips Back to how they were!!! For 9.99, that was A Huge RIP OFF!!!!! My Turkey burger was not made with care and put together with a wilted lettuce, old tomatoe and hardly any type of dressing! The sweet Potatoe fries that were in the side were, literally, not more than 10!! Terrible!!! Fridays, Brea, Ca.. Your change in your signature foods are going down the tubes!! Please make changes to correct this, quick!!!!!!!
I have only had TGI Fridays twice I was on the email list and receive coupons. My brother mentioned yesterday lets go have late breakfast lunch there so I agreed. We arrived there and were the first customers. I than asked the server about my coupon that i had online it said if I purchased two beverages and one entree I could get one entree free. She also stated I could not get things from two places on the menu if I used that coupon which I said was fine. When she came back to take the order my brother stated I would like the two for 10 deal and she said I wouldn't be able to use my coupon I stated I did not understand if we were two separate checks and he was paying for himself and his daughter and i was paying for myself and my two boys why is that an issue. She said the computer doesn't allow it I said so we literally have to sit at two tables even though were paying separate? She said yes. So I had to switch options with my oldest son and I had now purchased A drink that I wouldn't drink. So We than stated ok we will all do the 2 for 10 special. And ordered two kids meals. I asked to speak with the manager who came over and said very frankly we only allow one promotion per table and that was it. lol Ive never ever heard of such a thing if its two families paying separately! So out food comes and I was unaware the mashed potatoes came with cheese so I didn't eat them I also received vegetable medley which was squash and something else. I wish when the girl was listing these off to me verbally after me telling her i haven't eaten here in years that these items came this way so i didn't eat my sides I ordered the same steak as my brother and oldest son when it came to my plate it was bloody so I ate part and couldn't stomach the rest I asked for it to be recooked and for the bills. She than asked us what kind of desert we wanted I said I didn't want desert I wanted the 2 for 10 we all did and stated that she said oh you ordered items off the wrong part and that's the 3 for 16.99 seriously!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!When I kept saying 2 for 10 and my brother as well you never once corrected me and now your telling me I read the menu wrong well no shit ive never seen the menu and explained and relied on you helping me! So needless to say I left spending 60$ When I had intentions on trying the restraunt and using some sort of deal option for myself and two small boys. I will not go back that was very bad customer service ive never experienced that ever and I am a restraunt manager!.
My husband, myself and another couple decided to go to TGIF's for dinner last night. We have eaten there many times. I always order the Cobb Salad but of late, it has been less than adequate. However, last night was the worst. It used to be served on an oval platter, now served on a dinner plate. I got mostly lettuce, the tomatoes used to be diced, I got a total of 3 cherry tomatoes cut in half to make 6 pieces, the bacon was always crumbled, now I got a slice broke in half. The egg was usually grated, now it was a whole egg cut in half. I refused the bleu cheese and they usually substituted cheddar cheese, well not last night, no cheese at all. The avocado was always sliced and nicely placed on top, well my tiny piece of avocado was tucked under the plain lettuce. It looked like it was put together by someone who had no experience or just didn't care. My friend got the cheesecake, which should be served at room temp. hers was frozen solid!! We will probably not go back any time soon if ever. What happened?? We used to love going there for a night of relaxation and getting out but now we will have to find somewhere else. BTW, it was the TGIF's off McKnight Road in Pittsburgh, PA. And one of the websites say 3 dinners for 12.99 but ours had it for 16.99, are they not all supposed to be the same??? A very disappointing night out!
I am an employee of the tgi FRidays in Orange Park Fl and we recently had a new GM take over the store who is as incompetant as a haitian dishwasher. It started out with him grading a bar test of mine and me showing him that the answers he marked wrong were in fact right and in black and white in my hady dandy bar book. Today he put me on leave for a credit card transaction that went wrong. The problem originated when the customer who ghettoly complained about the price of ciroc vodka and the fact that we dont carry nuvo vodka as she seen in her favorite music video mislead me how she wanted to split the checks and then tried to pay with two credit cards with insufficient funds then eventually paid some cash to make up the difference. At the end of the transaction there was only one copy of the receipts that printed out...the customer kept both of them. Today the manager accused me of lieing about the credit card slip that he couldnt find. This is rediculous because the other barttender and any other employee that has delt with a credit card with insufficient funds knows that there is no second copy printed because it wasnt a complete transaction.
We went to TGIF for per my daughter's request for her 8th birthday and after numerous attempts to inform the staff and even our own server that she was celebrating her birthday no one bothered to come and sing for her. I guess no one seemed to care but for a child her birthday was a big deal. My husband contacted the manager and he seemed to have the same attitude. What a huge disappointment for my daughter. We really use to like this place and eat there often but after this we will be taking our business elsewhere.
ot really sure what has happened to TGI Fridays, but it has become, what I would refer to as, institutional food. Nothing particularly good and the only thing that seems to stand out is the poor service and inadequate staff. The last several visits to our local TGI begins with a greeting at the host/hostess stand that is on the same plane as one might receive at the local funeral home. After which, we are seated by a dolt who escorts us past scores of very accommodating tables, which are vacant, to seat us either by the kitchen, or at a table that is configured as a booth on one side and chairs on the other. The reason for this is to seat us in a table where there is an active server, however we often find that the server has been over committed and does not have the bandwidth to cover another seating. Our recent visits have several common denominators: First, the staff is not proactive, which means we have to request everything from flatware, to napkins, to drink refills, removing unused/used glasses, appetizer plates, serving dishes, etc.; Second, the food... warm and mediocre-shrimp that is over cooked and stuck to the shell, kids burgers with an over toasted bun, on a kids meal, no less! Most kids are missing teeth; why not serve a kid's meal burger on a nice soft bun? Why are the condiments so inaccessible? Perhaps, the answer lies in the fact that it allows the food to cool further, while we await the twice requested condiment. Third, we expect more. Fridays used to be FUN! What happened? We could tolerate a few miscues if the atmosphere was as advertised, or even better yet, like it used to be. I remember a time where, no matter where you went, Fridays was consistent and fun. I am not suggesting that it was be the be all and end all, but rather an enjoyable, festive and GOOD place to dine and hang out. When I was in college, there was a Fridays just a few miles form campus and we went there a couple times per week. Did it just get too big? Is it difficult to find good personnel? Or, is it more profitable to understaff, provide lackluster food, a tired ambiance and turn a table quickly? How about this... Provide a happy greeter that welcomes you, gets you seated and initiates a process where the CUSTOMER is treated as a valuable guest. The process of doing this would create a repeat clientele. Be proactive and sell the customer something that drives revenue and pleases the customer need. Believe it, or not, but you can actually run a profitable business by supplying a customer need. Instead, what happens is, under service, over charge and retain a limited and infrequent customer base; which, of course leads to further limited staff, inexperienced help and a further disillusioned customer base. Let's get back to the basics, guys and gals. There was something that TGI Fridays was doing right, which made it profitable and supplied the resources to build out new markets (probably to the extent that it was over committed, but let's not digress) and I recall that time in Fridays timeline. What would it take to peel back the layers of corporate excrement and get back to the core business that built the Fridays empire. My kids often watch a SpongeBob Squarepants episode where the Krusty Krab is purchased by a restaurant chain called Crabby O' Mondays. Red and white stripes and manufactured food with lots of marketing and no substance. Sound familiar?
I am writing to vent. Until recently I was an employee of TGI Fridays located in Victor, New York. I worked for TGI Fridays there from April of 2010 until October of 2011. I feel that I was an dedicated employee and that I showed that by always being there when I was supposed to be and was always on time for my shift, unlike some of the opening managers! I found out at the end of July that I was relocating and attempted to arrange a transfer. I feel that due to very little to no communication from those responsible,I was not able to transfer and am now without employment and benefits!
WOW I have bever been to a TGIF I guess with these reviews I wont ever go, the 5 stars are all the corporate office trying to do damage control, well will tell all my friends and so on and so forth until you are out of business It works ASK FYE (WINK) sorry everyone here had these experiences employment or customer wise be assured i will never go there EVER
