Went to the Steak N Shake in Anderson IN. and when we pulled to the speaker to place our order we were treated just like this in a very angry sounding voice " Can I help you?" no "welcome to steak n shake can I take your order?" and instead of telling us the amount that we owed after a few seconds the same voice said pull forward and when we asked for Ketchup we were informed that they were out of ketchup and on top of that the food that we ordered 1/2 of it was not what we ordered. Not very pleased with this visit. As a business owner I would be dissapointed if my employees acted in this manner.

Tonight I went to the Steak and Shake in Boardman, Ohio with my sister. The waitress didn't say much, she brought our waters, and actually forgot about us. We could see her taking the orders of people who were seated after us. I could understand if they were busy but it was past midnight, and the place was far from being busy.This isn't much of a complaint because I do realize we all make mistakes. However, an older waitress named Sheila came over after realizing herself that we were forgotten. She apologized, and really seemed to feel bad that we had waited a good twenty minutes without a waitress getting back with us. She took our orders and checked back constantly to make sure we were doing well. She was very friendly, and one of the best waitresses I've had there. she without a doubt made my experience there an enjoyable one. I even forgot my phone, realizing it herself she chased me to the door, and again apologized for the inconvenience we had earlier. Just wanted our waiter Sheila to get the recognition she deserved!

We went to the Antioch Tn location and when seated sat there for 15 minutes before someone even came to the table and after 35 more minutes we finally received our food which was cold burgers(2) and cold chicken fingers and fries. Awful food and service which is normally not the case. There were only two servers for the almost full dining room. Very poor management and when we did complain the cook that took our money said he was sorry and that was it. No management was even present. Will not be returning to this place because we do not like to eat cold food especially after waiting 45 minutes.

I go into the Lebanon, Indiana steak n shake quite often usually on 3rd shift, lately it has been absolutely terrible. Always start out with one terrible server keisha then passed off,to another,even worse less attentive server savanna. The,cook id the worst i've had,there too to say the least I won't be back on third shift. Maybe I will try 2nd shift but I don't appreciate burnt food, drinks sitting empty over half the time I'm there and not once being,checked on. Plus when employees are cussing and complaining about write ups the entire time seems very unprofessional

I HAVE WRITTEN A COMPLAINT FRIDAY ON THE NATURAL BRIDGE LOCATION ST LOUIS, MO. I BELIEVE ITS 44 STORE. I DID RECEIVE A REPLY TO MY EMAIL WITH APOLOGY BUT I HAVE NOT HEARD BACK DIRECTLY FROM THE LOCATION. APPARENTLY THEY DON'T VALUE THE 6 GUESTS WHO RECEIVED EXTREMELY POOR SERVICE IN SEVERAL AREAS. STEAKN SHAKE OR ANY OTHER BUSINESS CAN'T AFFORD TO LET CUSTOMER SPEND THEIR MONEY ELSEWHERE BUT UNLESS SOME ONE CONTACTS I WILL MOVE ON. THIS EXPERIENCE CONTINUES TO FAIL. PITIFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE. My 16yr old daughter works at your Cincinnati OH Fields Ertel location. We started out with a very long training process from July to Aug. and has finally started "officially" working about 2wks ago. The scheduling and interviewing Manager Victor Montgomery, originally hired her with assurance to work within her school/work time allotment. I find a 29 hour work week (7hrs on 2 days) for an AP student in school for 35hrs a wk. a bit much. This manager BLATANTLY refuses adjust hers or anyone elses request into consideration. He is a nightmare to speak with and has a higher than mighty attitude towards anyone bringing a schedule issue to him. Having 5 people walk off the job in a week and countless in a month directly due to an arrogant disrespectful, cursing manager is the reason. Tonight they lost a cook and one server (not my daughter) and this manager refused to come in to solve the issue. He left the store with NO manager on site! Two tables of customers, one 10 top and one 4 top walked out after waiting so long for their food. So the servers on those tables got nothing! This location is being run to the ground. Act soon!

Brandon Florida, HORRIBLE!! Extremely heavy person was at the window, that's not the problem. She was not dressed in uniform, her shirt was regular clothes and filthy and her top came up and you could see he huge stomach and roll of fat. And on top of that she wore a Plastic glove and picked my food up with her right. Will soooooo NOT go back there. Eeww! And I will let everyone I know know about it!

I love Steak n Shake. My kids and grand kids love Steak n Shake. The only problem we have is, we live 200 miles from one. Please open up a Steak n Shake in Abilene, Texas. We have no place here to get a good hamburger and fries no real good milk shakes and the only good breakfast place we have is IHOP. Every time we make a trip to Ohio, we eat at steak n Shakes along the way. This town is in desperate need of a Steak n Shake. Thank you. Cheryl

Worst service i have ever had spent 45 minutes waiting on our food that never did come and when we went to pay for our drinks that we did get the manger acted it like it was no big deal and the only question he ask was were where sitting and the sad part was he was the one that seated us..will never give Springfield Ohio steak and shake my business ever again...

I was eating at the eureka mo store on 8/31/12. It was going good until I went into the bathroom and it was flooding with sewage from the drain. The only thing that was done was they closed the bathrooms. My question is how would the heath department feel bout that store staying open while dessises like ecoli floating around that came back up the drain with the sewage. I'm disgusted by this and I will be calling the heath department and making a complaint. I would recomend to any one not to eat at a company that dose not care bout there customers heath. We will see if the heath department agrees or disagrees with me.

I just left your business in Morton Il, where I received very poor service. I ordered a cheeseburger and received it cold. Was this just because I was in the the drive thru and you though I would be down the hyway before I noticed? In the pass service has been very slow, very poor. I give the cheeseburger back to you because business must be poor for you to do a steady customer this way. I plan to share this with other coworkers in the area.

Last night it was,"We lost your order". They couldn't tell us that before we waited over half hour? Don't think our particular S & S is the only one having these situations, every one we have ever gone to is like this. I would hate for the folks working in these joints to lose their jobs but they should just close up and quit aggravating those of us that like their food.

My family & I visit the restaurant in our area frequently & lately we have discovered that the food isn't the same anymore it has a poor quality. Needless to say we will not be back

You should bring your taco salads back! I'm pretty sure that it was the best taco salad I've ever had & the food at the restaurants now doesn't compare. PLEASE BRING IT BACK!!

I was almost hired by steak and shake but I decided not to take the job because you treat customers with respect and dignity. I was on the phone for 50 minutes trying to get a hold of the person in charge. So I could find out how to get to Jenson Beach store as not originally being from Florida, and when I finally got the manager there was a long pause like he didn't want to talk to me. I thought if this is how I am going to be treated as a new hire. How will I be treated when I am working there.

We were just at the Steak n Shake in St. Clairesville, OH. During our visit there, we went through the drive thru making our way to a high school football game at Brooke High School. Considering we were traveling, we asked for a value cup filled with ketchup so it would have a lid and enough for everyone in the car. The woman running the drive thru must have misunderstood because she gave us a two ounce cup full of ketchup instead. We asked her for some more because of the four people in the car would obviously like more than that. The woman at the window was extremely rude and we never got the ketchup that we needed. She didn't say a word and looked at us like we were ignorant. Whoever working the 6:30 shift at the St. Clairesville drive thru does not need to be working in a customer service industry because she clearly doesn't understand the mission of this restaurant.

It takes a lot for me to get upset over a business. I work in several restraunts and was never fired from one. The last three times I went to your building in robinson pa I had horrible service each time and two of them were simple to go orders. I had to ask someone to please take my order because she had rather flirt with the cook instead of waiting on me. When she did wait on me she was very nice. The cook never put lettuce or tomato on my sandwich even though your menu says that it comes on it. The other two times my food was ridiculously burnt but the check was late so they decided that it was okay to serve it to a customer I suppose and the first time I ordered a salad and received no dressing, no silverware. Ill probably never eat at any of your restraunts ever again. You have gone downhill in the last 6 mos. Very upsetting.

Sorry I put Zack Brow I don't know why. I got him confused his name was a Zack Dyer. He only said it once and never said anything else like tht to me again, but it was still wrong and i will never be back!
