Yes, well their service isn't the only crappy thing! I worked there for a few months I found ou I was pregnant me and my friend both! We had to keep calling our friends to fill our potions because they would not put us on maternity leave! They were suppose to! Instead we both got fired one right after the other and they would not give reasons! We believe it was because we were pregnant. They fired no one else! After this incident I was and still am calling to get my pay stubs and they will not give me them! They took me off the internet so I could not log in to get them and they will not give me them in person! I need them in order to keep my tenncare because of the pregnancy! It has been nothing but hell trying to work for them and nothing but hell getting my pay stubs! I was also sexually assaulted by the staff member ,Zack Brown ,who works right under the manager while I was there, this is bullshit! I will never even eat at this location again!

Your location in Boardman, OH has been terrible at service tonight. Normally, we are greeted with wonderful and quick service and everything is very nice. But tonight, we along with several other groups of people waited a very long time to be seated, and some people even left. While this was happening, several groups of people were also waiting in a line to pay and leave. Meanwhile, the servers and even the manager saw this and did not seem to care. When we were finally seated, we waited another long while to even be introduced to our server for the night. Only one employee seemed to be trying, but he was alone in trying to seat and check out groups of people while the others learsurly went about other business. I am shocked at the service we have recieved tonight, as it's never been this way before.

was turning in the drvie thru at your kankakee il location and noticed a manager smoking out the back door and stopped to see if i could smell the scent and it smelled like WEED YES WEED you guys need to do drug tests this is sad to see a manager getting high on the job!!!!!!

Every time I go to the steak n shake in Franklin TN they NEVER have the chili to make chili Mac! This is the FOURTH time this has happened! I kept coming back thinking things would get better but they have NOT!!! And the guy taking my order gave me a look and attitude like "oh we'll stinks for you!". Won't be going back to give them another shot!!!!!

My daughter is an adult with mild cognitive challenges. she has worked at Steak & Shake for a number of months now. She is a very social, friendly person. The people she works with are good to her for the most part. My complaint.......if the store is slow, she is sent home after fifteen minutes. She barely gets 10 hours in a two week period. She hasn't had ANY hours the past three weeks. I was told this is corporate policy! What a way to run a business!!!

The chili I ordered had so much grease in it I poured it out and I only received 3/4 of what I PAID FOR!!!! Also I ordered a large shake....the shake was only half full with shake, and the other half with whip cream....I was VERY SICK after eating that chili....I threw up all day....SO I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO STAKE N SHAKE AGAIN!!!!!!!

The new television ad with the girls driving under the semi- trailer is despicable as well as dangerous! Very bad message for young people and bad image for an otherwise great eatery!

We went to the mentor store and our service was horrible we waited 20mins to get a waitress to take our drink order then we ordered our food and it took a long time to get. Other people got their food before us and it was bad service. The salad had barely any lettuce I think that salads are supposed to have lettuce at least in the us that's what they call it a salad. I don't recommend going to this place I know from now on I will be going to the one in willoughby where I know the manager there makes sure the food and service is good.

I am a manager for SteaknShake in Tennessee. I have worked for many other concepts in my twenty years in this business. There are no words to discribe how horrible it is to work for this company.QUALITY of life is non existent and because of this moral is low from top to bottom. This lack of moral is the reason for the increase in complaints from all areas i.e. "speed of service;quality of food and cleanliness". I will not ever let my family eat at any SteaknShake again unless things change !!!!!!!!!!!! "Loyal employees will in turn build loyal customers." In their Mission and Vission they refer to customers as their main focus. However this will never be accomplished without also building loyal employees!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For the second time this week in Plainfield IN the drive thru does not want to take my order because they are to busy cleaning the stove... All I wanted was a drink! Only have this problem with the girls in the morning. The guy I get sometimes gets me thru the drive thru less than a minute.

My girlfriend and I were in the shillinger road location, mobile alabama. It was horrendous. Under our table was large amounts of liquid and food. It was very disgusting. I noticed that not only was our area a mess but others in our locations. The floors and walls were terrible. I brought it to the managers attention and he showed little to no concern. Wow, I can't believe all these bad reviews for Steak & Shake. My husband and I have been frequenting our local S & S in Jefferson City, Mo and have been very pleased with both the service and the food. Our servers have been Cody and Pickett and they couldn't have been more courteous and effecient. The food was excellent and the restaurant was clean and comfortable. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. We love that they are open 24 hours, as we are night owls, and like to pop in for late night breakfast. We always seem to find coupons in the local papers, making it more affordable. At this time, I can't say anything negative about our local Steak & Shake. Keep up the good work guys!

Your "super mom " commercial is terrible. All we need is more commercials showing fast and irresponsible driving. Great example for the kids. Shame on you.

Recently visited the Steak N Shake on Garden Road in Burlington, NC. Was very disappointed. Bathrooms were not clean, seating area was unclean also and the meat on our burgers were paper thin. The best part of our visit was a new hired waitress named Morgan. She was NOT the waitress that sat us. We had to wait to be seated for 15 minutes while their was NO ONE else in line. I observed while waiting to be seated that their were 4 waitress standing behind the counter either talking to one another or on their personal phones texting. Once we were aknowledged, and to be seated they had to clean the table before we could be seated. The young lady wipped the table top only and told us to have a seat. Before we could say anything she left. We finally had to wait for some OTHER waitress to come by before we could inform them that the seats needed to be whipped off before we could sit. After that ordeal we finally sat down and Morgan came to introduce herself and welcome us. Had it not been for her friendly and courtious disposition we would have left then. She took our order and got our drinks in a very timely manner. All the while we proceeded to observe that SHE was the only waitress attending guests and trying to clean. The rest of the waitress continued to stand around or give HER orders as to what needed to be done. Our food was delivered and to no fault of Ms. Morgan's the food was a disappointment!! As stated above our burgers were paper thin, the fries were greesy and cold. As a retired veteran, me and my wife have been to numerous Steak N Shakes in our travel and this one by far has been a huge disappointment!! i have been working for steak n shake for nearly a year now and it has become unbareable not only is the store run poorly so is corprate i have for 2 months now been shorted at least $50 on my checks and even though i have repeatedly said something i have not been paid the money i a owed im so tiered of this company

I took my grand daughter to lunch at Steak and shake in Rolla Mo. I should have known it was a mistake from the first impression i got. 2 people in front of us & 2 cashier were so involved in their own conversation and didn't even notice anyone standing there. We knew what we wanted by the time the waitress got there. Ordered and it took about 25 minutes to get our food. Once it was brought to us I thought man this grilled cheese and frisco burger were not even grilled. So we began to eat. I had part of my burger and notice some blueeish green color on side of my bread. I called the waitress over and showed her and said is this mold. She stated i don't think so. I told her to take the plate away. Because Im allergic to mold. She apologized numerously. She was extremely nice. And tried to take care of us. I have ate at alto of steak and shakes and have never seen anything like this. Very disappointed and will think twice before eating there again. Of course my grand daughters lunch was free. But if i got mold bread who else did too.

I don't know what has happen to the Steak n Shake in South Bend, IN on Ireland Rd. We used to get such great service. The last two time we waited 20 minutes or more for our order when it used to be half that time. The staff was all huddled behind the beverage counter and pickup window instead of taking the food to the table. We have decided our time is to valuable to waste it sitting and waiting for our food and will probally not return to Steak n Shake.

Ok, I dont even know where to start! Lets start from: expiernce number 1, went and got some food at the Clarksville Indiana store and sipped a long stringy film through my straw of the sweet tea, took it back manager said "they are supposed to clean it every night, but obviously the dont" expirence number 2, went and got another meal, got all the way home it was not what I ordered and the sweet tea was the same!!! They replaced my meal! expirence number 3, went to get meal replacement and ordered extra shakes, waited for 45 mins just to recieve my food and 3 shakes, ran off and forgot one. If I didnt forget about it I am sure it would have been another 45 mins to get it! expirence number 4, went back to get my shakes I had left! order food again! Just opened and there is a FLY cooked into it!! I am going to post pictures of this and contact the health department.. The corp. office has everyone of my calls on record about this crap and I completely livid over this!!! DON'T EVER EAT AND THE STEAK N SHAKE IN CLARKSVILLE INDIANA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Evansville Indiana. I open often in the mornings. When I come in I basically have to close before I can open. Cleaning stocking... exc ... I only make 2.13 per hour... then I rarely get any business in the morning. I feel like I am working and cleaning for free... they said as Long as by the end of the week I average minimum wage is all that matters. So it's okay that I work for free for two hours every morning. Is this right??

Worst job I have ever had. I had numerous problems with the General Manager Ricardo down South Semoran in Orlando, Florida. Very rude man, and had a serious anger problem. One day he practically ran out of the office and threw 3 plates at the person who was washing dishes screaming about how awful all of his servers are, and that none of us deserved jobs. He would constantly talk about general managers at other stores. I tried speaking with the District Manager about this and was told that Russ had "never heard this complaint before", so he couldn't do anything about it. I didn't know who to contact or speak with about it, but I can get any other job serving and I will not be treated with such disrespect as I was with Ricardo. Rumors were going around towards the end of my employment with Steak n Shake about how many employees the general manager had slept with, and about how when their "affair" would be over, he would simply fire the girl he no longer wanted. He eventually got an employee pregnant, and that is why she was transferred to another store. The "service leader" was also very rude, and would constantly remind us of how much control she had over every employee their, and how she would schedule us based on what she thought. If she wasn't happy with you for a week, you weren't scheduled the next. I will never suggest Steak n Shake to anyone, and would never suggest working there. By far the worst job I have ever had.
