tried to cancel our trip because my husband is at the hospital since last Wednesday in comma, of course i had to call in india like anybody else, and they wanted to keep $125 each ticket plus $100 for taxes. r u kidding me now? worst airline ever
I will NEVER use Spirit airlines again. They gave us some useless vouchers that we can't use for any date. Just got off the phone and I am HOT! We missed work because their losy freakin planes had mechanical problems. They sold us a bunch of crock about free, anywhere Spirit flys in the U.S.vouchers. Never believe them. They are first class liars. We cannot use the vouchers to fly out on Dec 14, so we were chose the 13. Then three idiots inform us that our soonest return date available Ida January 8, 2013. What butholes. Never fly Spirit again. Pay the extra money and get bigger seats, coffee, water, and some peanuts. Spirit is. Joke and plus I am a veteran, and will never give them another dime because of their callous treatment of vets!
I will never ever fly with Spirit Airlines again! A group of about 10 used the airline to travel to Peru. A 5 1/2 hr. flight from Florida, we had to pay for water if we wanted a drink. Fees for everything, seats, bags and carry ons! On our return flight we were left behind because boarding pass did not have complete names on ticket. We were forced to return to the counter to get it changed, returned to board, but we were not allowed to board the plane, even though it was still parked. We were forced to wait in the airport for over 12 hrs. I was given 3 meals vouchers, not my family members who also missed the flight. Why this airline is still in business is beyond comprehension. We will never fly with Spirit again, and we includes the 10 people who flew together.
Horrible customer service!!!! I would give a 0 if I could to this poor excuse for an airline. My father passed away 3 weeks before his trip to Florida. I immediatley contacted the hotel, car rental, and Spirit Airlines. Both the hotle and car rental took care of a refund immediatley, but then there was Spirit Airlines who insisted that a copy of the the ticket information and a death certificate be mailed to the corporate office. What a joke!!! I mailed the information on 5/18 and have yet to hear anything from the. The number listed above is not in service, there online complaint form doesn't work and you can't get past the reservation clerk to speak to a supervisor, in fact if you continue to insist on speaking to someone higher they pretend that you got disconnected when in fact they just hang up on you!!!! I hate to see people lose their jobs, but I would love to see this airlines go under. They are a disgrace to the airline business!!!
I would just like to start off by saying if it was possible I would rate this airline a "0" zero. I am disccusted by by the disorganization and uNPROFESIOANlisom. Every flight I had was delayed. Boarding was a complete disaster! I was harassed by your employees on more than one occasion to sign up for your bogus credit card. 2 hours before I boarded the plane and while.I was.on it by the attendants. I will be contacting the Better Business Beaureu as well as by word of mouth and by social networking warning my friends and family of how unprofessional this airline truly is. I cant even begin to describe how horrible and unpleasant it was traveling with your airline. Sincerely,Very Unhappy
This was my first time making reservations/flying. Spirit was no help with helping me correct an error that I made. I will not recommend this airlines to anyone. I will be contacting my State Representative and the Better Business Bureua.
on June 5th spirit air could not get me on my connecting from Fort lauderdale to DFW because their flight from panama was late so they promised m a refund for the second segment of my trip the supervisor at the counter in panama told me ur going to get your refund in 3 days it now 4 weeks , i called spirit air only to be told soon soon you will get it no compensation, no respect no professional ethics well thats my last trip on spirit Gangsters!
Spirit Airlines cancelled my daughter's flight at the last minute and left her and my four grandchildren, one who is 18 months stranded for almost 20 hours. They paid for a non stop flight and were given in return a 5 hour lay over in Minneapolis and then had an additional two hour layover. They were to arrive in Las Vegas at 9:20 am on Saturday morning and didn't arrive until 1:30 am Sunday Morning. The staff was rude and couldn't care less. My daughter ran out of diapers and asked Spirit for assistance and was told there was nothing they could do. This airline sucks
I was told about Spirit Airlines yesterday and their $9 fare. I was researching the information and came across this rant of negative comments towards the company. I'm so glad I did...I will stick with Southwest!!! In light of their customer service, especially to our servicemen....shame on you Spirit!
This is the WORST airlines.They dont even have the satisfying customer service. I called them yesterday and the representative ryder who awnsered my call was not able to understand me he transfered my call to a manager she was pathateic, rude and she dont even know how to talk respectfully.There people dont even speak proper english.WHY HAVE YOU GOT SUCH EMPLOYEES WHO CAN NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEMS????? and your policies......F*** O**....NEVER FLY SPIRIT....i'll pay $300 for my roundtrip but i'll never use spirit now......bye bye
Good luck redeeming your flight miles. The base of "off peak" for 5/10K is only good Tues,Weds, or Thurs. If you can understand the people in India you can eventually figure it out but they are even more clueless than the people they hire to work at McDonalds. I fly them BUT it is only because AA is 3 times as much to Fl. I would use AA or Delta if their price was only 30% more. On the positive side their underpaid flight attendents and pilots have ALL been very decent.
Weather = perfect. FLight cancelled after being at the airport for 7 hours. No flights 3 for days. We were left stranded at the airport. $50 credit and poor customer service is only compensation. This phone number doesn't work. Call center = India. I will NEVER fly Spirit again.
My daughter was scheduled on Spirit Airlines flight 165 from DFW to ATL on 16 Jun 2012 departing at 11AM. When I checked the flight status the day before, it showed it was delayed. I notified her father and when he checked it, he also saw it was delayed. I’m not sure of the delayed time, but I believe it was around 3PM. We never got an email or a phone call or anything telling us what was going on. The next day, when her father tried to check her in for the delayed flight, it did not show the delay anymore and she missed her flight. When he called the airline about it, they gave him the run-a-round and put him on hold for over 30 minutes. Needless to say, my daughter missed her flight and my ex-husband will not rebook it because of your poor customer service. You may have cheap tickets, but since you have to pay for your seat, drinks, snacks on the plane and carryon baggage and checked baggages prices, the expense is more than flying another airline. You fees are excessive. You also have very poor customer service and a bunch of liars. I will tell all my friends and anyone that I see using Spirit to not do it. Your airlines is totally a bad airlines to fly.
My wife and I, along with 2 of our good friends flew from DFW International Airport to Las Vegas for our Honeymoon on May 20, 2012. We missed our return flight, which was our misunderstanding. We promptly reported to the check-in desk at Spirit Airlines Las Vegas to explain our situation and Spirit staff showed a total lack of concern regarding our situation. When asked, what would be an alternative on our return flight? The staff indicated that we would have to purchase our tickets for the full amount if we would want to return home. I questioned why, and it was explained that it was Spirit Airlines policy. Moments later, I began to make phone calls to Dallas hoping that someone from my family or friends could help us with the purchase of the full amount so that we could return home. My wife previously charged $1,390.00 on her Master Card for the original round trip and my step-mother charged $879.00 on her credit card for our return flight home. I thought this was ridiculous because, people miss flights every day at every airline across America. Again we have no problems with their policy, but thru conversations in the Spirit Airlines terminal with other customers that also has missed their flights. Other customers were given the alternative to be put on Standby. That information disturbed me and my family greatly, to think that customers who have paid a large amount of money could be treated this way. This policy would be implemented towards certain individuals in this manner and not others. After all that, returning to DFW International Airport, the airlines still lost one of my check-out bags. Immediately, I began calling and searching the web for Spirit Airlines corporate office for contact information. I felt as if I was given blown off and my concern was not valid complaint. Also, I felt that customer service to me and my family was a last to do priority to me. What’s disturbing is a $ 1,390.00 round trip for four, turned out to cost $ 2269.00 is ridiculous. Please remember that without the customers, your airline couldn’t survive. I would greatly appreciate that Spirit address this issue. Thank you in advance. we got to the airport to find out they cancelled out flight and didn;t even notify us. when we asked the attendent why we were not contacted she said that they try to get to all their customers and if they can't get to them oh well can you imagine, now they just want to give us a $50.00 voucher that is only good for 60 days and then u kiss them good bye. i told them that the children would not be flying until another year and they didin't care. we paid for a non stop flight now we have to fly twenty four hours later and have we will be flying for almost five hours. the flight that was suppose to be only 2 1/2 hours has doubled and we are being punsidhed because they canceled the flight what is wrong with this????????
Forced to give them a one. My son is getting ready to go off to the Middle East and he was coming home before going over, we bought him the round trip ticket on the 8th and on the 9th he called to say his leave orders had changed and some of his leave was cancelld so the flt would not work. I got right on the phone to Spirit to cancel. Oh yea I bought trip insurance. When I called back to cancel they had a long hold time and a recording stating this but I held until it was my turn. The 1st rep after explaining what I needed put me back in the que, long hold again, the 2nd rep told me can't help you it's been longer than 24 hrs spoke to a sup. got name, she said deal with it, spoke to her manager he agreed with her. Called back spoke to another mananger told him my story and about three workers he had a I don't car attitude and saide he couldn't do anything tried one more time and asked him if this is the way they treat all customers and want to be known for treating the military like this. He didn't care. Told him I was going to work on having them black balled to the military, he said go ahead. So I'm stuck with a travel voucher that has to be used in the next 60 days to book a flt on there books for the year, however they only have flts available right now to christmas. My soon won't be back in the country until next June. I'm out the 400.00. Spirit I look for you in bankruptcy court.

Worst customer service ever! You have to talk to someone in India and they hung up on me....I will NEVER fly Spirit Airlines again and will make sure everyone is aware of their terrible service. They allow very intoxicated passengers on flights and I ended up being the in service "air marshal" and EMT for the flight to keep order and assist in an emergency medical issue. (I am an off duty police officer), I was offered a diet soda for my security efforts, and they off loaded my bag by "mistake" , still waiting for someone to answer the phone so I can find out when my luggage will get to me. When I tried to file a complaint on Spirit's e-mail system (as suggested by the India supervisor), the email would not send ( they experienced a problem with the email system, how convenient). I would rather pay a larger price for a future ticket to ensure, my safety and respect!
spirit is the worst airline ever i would never ever gonna use this airline again. my trip was from chicago to vegas and come back first from chicago to vegas trip one hour late i was like okay something is happened and when i going back to chicago my flight was delayed almost over 2 hours and also costumer service is terrible they should be out off business who ever manage this company. i had experience with other company. They need to improve their service and learn from them. Bad thing is their aiplane chair is uncomfertable, non standart does not move back and forward. You gonna just set down straight for many hours. I was thinking that how i am gonna set back when i was going by first side.
Worst airline in the world. No recourse, no customer service, and no competency. Now I'm out of $1,000. Everyone on here should report them NOW to BBB (http://www.bbb.org/). Scott #62753, a customer service rep for their baggage claim, told me today that he would not let me talk to his manager and that he would no longer speak with me regarding the issue of my lost luggage. Can I please get an application to work here? I don't have to know anything, do my job, or help anyone.
