I received the Black Friday Ad in the local paper of the small town I live in. I found the ultimate deal, a Toshiba 50" class LED 1080p HDTV for $299.99. Our hometown store didn't open up until 4:00 a.m. The commercials were advertising on TV and Radio they opened up at 8:00 p.m. I camped out and I was SECOND in line. When I got to the counter to pay for the Television I was informed that the actual price on the TVs was 499.00. They told me that it was just for the full line stores. It did not say anything about that in the ad, even in the fine print. The problem that I have is that I called the Wednesday before and I was told that they had TVs and that the price was 299.00 Why was I told that I could get the TV for 299.00 and then when I get there Its not so. It was not stated in the ad that it only applies to Full Line Stores? Why wasn't it posted in the ad that it only applied to the full line stores and not the home town stores? I have bought several things from Sears and I will not be shopping there anymore in the future. I am horribly disappointed with the false advertising in the Black Friday Ad for 2012. I will not shop at Sears anymore and I will let everyone know how they honor there ads in the paper. DON'T BELIEVE THEM they say one thing and then they do something else. And then when you call customer Service all they say is that they will be sure to turn my complaint in. Knowing good and well they are not going to do anything about it. But I will be sure to tell everyone I know what has happened. At least at Wal-Mart they honor what they PRINT.
Black Friday Ad Joke!!!
I received the Black Friday Ad in the local paper of the small town we live in. I found the ultimate deal, a Toshiba 50" class LED 1080p HDTV for $299.99. The ad specifically said "At least 4 per store". I was FIRST in line anxiously awaiting the 8 pm opening. When the door was opened I was told that the ad did not apply to the store in my town because it is a Appliance and Hardware store. The store in my town does not carry TVs or Electronics, the ad was meant for Full Line Stores only. It did not say anything about that in the ad, even in the fine print. If it had stated that in the ad I would not have wasted my time waiting for the 8 pm opening. Why is it not stated in the ad that it only applies to Full Line Stores? Why was the ad in the local paper if it didn't apply to the store in my town? Why was it not available for for the first 4 people wanting the TV to get it ordered in honoring the ad? I have been shopping at Sears for years and have bought many big ticket items. I will not be shopping at Sears in the future. I am horribly disappointed with the false advertising in the Black Friday Ad for 2012. If lost business is what Sears was looking for they got it here.
Lawnmower
Bought a Craftsmans Self-Propelled Lawnmower,had less than a year and drive shafts goes out and blows oil everywhere. Turned it in to get repaired still under Sears warranty however,I am told it will cost me 171+ dollars because the drive shaft is not covered... What a crock of bull I will never againg buy anything from Sears if this is the way they operate, and I encourage all to do the same.. Shame on Sears, we work hard to make a living and in good faith buy there more expensive products because we believe i them and this is how one gets treated.. No Thank You I will buy the cheaper foreign made products with nothing to lose if it breaks....

If i could give this place a negative 10 i would and i know a ton of others would do the same. get back to your old ways stand by your product and have good customer service or your company will be next just like hosstes snacks and i hope you do fail as a company if you dont change.
Crappy onlne ordering and then service
After staying up until 2:00 am to order a door buster item and other items that were to be shipped free to my home, I submit at 2:05 am and it sits clocking for hours. In calling service (believe it is in India) the order did not go through. I am then told I have to go to the store 25 miles away to pick up my order. Then the doorbuster item has to be bought at a store, then it is not available. "Tracy and Patrick" say they can't comp an item but would sell me a lower quality item at that price. Been a customer since 1973 but no more! No wonder these big stores are in trouble, with crappy phone customer service people aren't going to come back, I know I won't.
Open on Thanksgiving
I just read that Sears will be among the stores that open on the Thanksgiving Holiday. I have to say that is so disappointing to see that is true. Shame on all the retailers that place such a high priority on money, leading the masses to shop on a holiday that should be reserved for spending the time with the family. I for one will not shop on "Black Friday, Sunday or any holiday. Shame on all of you for contributing to the unraveling of what holds the family together, you all have made money your god.
Yuma Sears
I baught my daughter a Justin Beiber watch with a warrenty and sent it to be fixed. The lady never called me so 3 weeks later I call and she reports my watch is in and ready. I go to the store to pick it up and the lady says oh sorry I guess they never fixed it. I was super upset. The manager runs the watch through the computer to check it and tells me he can give me a 10 dollar gift card the watch cost me 37 plust warrenty..I am going back tomorrow and getting a full refund. That was rediculouse. I am not satisfied!
I will never buy another Sear appliance
Saturday I had a Kenmore wash machine delivered to my house by a 3rd party delivery company) First of all, I was given a two hour delivery window from 10:00 to noon. The drivers eventually showed up at 1:30 pm. The first thing they did was try to disconnect the hose that ran from the washer to the sewer pipe. When I saw that they were just twisting it like crazy, I suggested they cut the hose since it was no longer needed. I immediately noticed that they had broken the PVC connection to the sewer pipe and the sewer was leaking into my basement. I called my plumber and then Sears. I was trying to get the operator to understand the problem when the driver took the phone from me and told the operator they "hadn't broken anything." He then looked at me and said this "better not come back on us." My radar went up and I realized that my safety was in jeopardy and I decided the best thing to do was just get these two men out of my house. Now I am paying my plumber to fix the problem and am not filing a formal complaint with Sears because the drivers know where I live (and I live alone). No one should be made to feel unsafe in their own home AND I WILL NEVER DEAL WITH SEARS AGAIN!!!!
Appliance
Puchased washer/dryer Elite on 9/17. Dryer arrived with damaged electrical (harness) box which was reprted to Sears (martinsville, Va.) on the 19th. Technician was scheduled to inspect unit on Oct 3; did not come, did not call. I have spent at least three hours on to speaking to about 12 people, all apologize but nothing has happened. Parts could not find part until Tech. physically came to house. Part has arrived, but technican cannot repir until November 21, which is about two months since purchase; will see if it happens. Have never had such a miserable purchase from anyplace, and will never again purchase anything from Sears. We also purchased an Extended Warranty on both appliances. Totally disgusted.
Dear Sir or Madam, This is simply to protest your opening on Thanksgiving night. As gross commercialization is destroying that once-sacred holiday when all Americans, regardless of creed, could pause for reflection and spend precious time with familly, your succumbing to media/marketing frenzy is disappointing and in all candor, disgusting. I was very upset when after 30+ years of doing business with a reputable company I had to deal with the "new" Sears customer service.... the details are unimportant now as I have had my ordered cancelled....(not with my consent) and as i am finding out seems to be the normal there is absolutely nothing they can do to rectify their incompetence....... Even more depressed when I found this web site and realize this is the New Sears....... Finished with them though I really don't believe they care!
bathroom remodel
In September I contracted with Sers to remodel my bathroom,,,the cost was over 9000.00. I went with Sears because I thought they had a good reputation. I had used independent contractors in the past and been burned. Sears service was the worse. The bathroom was not completed timely or professionally and the contractors could not speak english. The whole experience was awful and stressful and the floor and shower were installed improperly. Fighting with them everyday to make it right.
Customer service is horrible!!!!!!!!! I will re-think making purchases at sears. Sears used to be good and would stand behind their products but, not any more. They just give you the run around. Its sad and annoying! If you even get to a store Manager they do not know what the next step is and who to talk to or phone numbers or anything. Alot of them do not even speak good english. I feel bad saying that but, that is my experience.
Veterans Day
You should be ashamed! Really, your brilliant advertising minds can't figure out that it's not one "Veteran's" Day. It is plural. "Veterans Day." Fire these idiots who have no clue who is being honored nor the actual spelling of the "Day." It is all about - all VETERANS!
I have been a customerr for over 40 years and brought all my apppliances from sears I have always been a loyal customer never was late on my payments of my bills to them. I am very upset on the way treated me as a loyal customer for years because my washer machine I brought from them that need to be services, I called them for someone to come out to service my washer machine on October the 19th and he said that the spring need to be change and he left and said that he was going to order the parts and will be send to my house in 3 days time and someone will come out to replace it, I am still waiting for them to come over 2 weeks and noone came and they never came, I called to find out what happened and they told me that they do not have an order for me for my address, I felt the customer services gave me the run around I was switch over 10 different people , the last person I spoke to told me that my maintainance was expired on Oct the 26th and I have been waiting for over 2 weeks before it was expired and now they are telling me that they cannot do anything I will have to pay for it out of my pocket, I am very dissappointed about this because they never order my parts and took so long before my maintainance was expired on the 26th of Oct, and now I will have to pay for a new maintainance fee.
I was told a pair of frames would be held for me in the twin falls optical, said frames were taken from the shelf and put aside for my return app. a week later, I excitedly returned anxious to try them on again only to be told that they had been sold ...I will not return to this store for my eye appts...
The worst customer service I have ever encountered in my life!!! I will not spend another dime at Sears...
Vinyl Siding
I ordered Vinyl Siding from sears and after a few weeks it came and I was giving a installation date, I called to confirmed my date before I requested the time off from work and was told nothing has change my date still the same. I worked in New York and owned a home in Virginia Beach, thats where the installation supposed to take place. On my way to Virginia I got a call from someone named Bridget she told me my appointment have to be reschedule after wasting a day from work. When the contractors arrived they installed the wrong colour on my house. Three days I was promised for completion now its nothing but confusion, they tried to make everthing looks as if it was my fault even thou the sales rep confess its his fault for writing down the wrong colour......
wrongfull termination
its wrong to fired someone without knowledge for others to keep their job but, when other employees leave to personal issues for longer than 1 week and employees and managers talk about other rudly and theses dont get fired and someon who worked in pain and bent over and your boss ask you do you still wanna keep your job?
sears' kenmore refrigerator purchased less than two years ago is falling apart. two of its three drawers are unusable due to cracking, its ice distributor does not work correctly, its little tray beneath the ice and water despenser has turned yellow. note:no i have not used chemicals and yes i have a filtration system connected to my whole house. my attempts to contact headquarters was a waste of time.
