Bad Business

I bought a full set of Michelin tires from sears which were defective. 700 dollars out of my pocket. The first one exploded out the side of the tire and they tried to blame it on alignment even though there was no wear and tear on the threads. They were only 6 months old and I take care of the maintenance on my car as it were a baby. They agreed the threads were like new. Eventually with a nightmare of phone calls and complaints, they replace the tires. Six months later the other three started to unravel at the sides and they again blamed it on alignment even though no wear on the threads were showing. Tires were still like new. This time they refused to cover them. I had to replace all the rest of the tires with no compensation. I will never shop sears again. I am out 700 dollars by trusting the Sears name. Is it any wonder why they are going out of business? Tired to use the minus sign and it doesn't work...

FIGHTING TO GET MONEY BACK AFTER THEY CANCELLED MY ORDER

I ordered a guitar online for my daughter for Christmas on December 3. On Decemeber 4 I got an email saying the order was cancelled because the guitar was out of stock. On Dec 5 Sears.com took the money from my account. I had to go to a Sears store that is 60 miles from my home to buy the guitar o I have paid for this guitar twice. I have called numerous times to talk to someone about getting my money back. All I keep getting is you are going to have to wait 24-72 hours. It is now January 1 and I still do not have my money back in my account. I got an email this morning saying they are unable to locate my transaction. Hmmmmm Kinda fishy. I emailed them back my account statement showing that they took my money I even hilited the transaction and I sent them my order transaction information. I find it kind of hard to believe that they just lose peoples transactions. Needless to say I will NEVER do business with Sears.com EVER again.

VERY UNSATIFIED CUSTOMER

I am currently waitng on gift for my wife ordered on Dec 11th and no one from sears seems to know where my item is or when I will receive it. I guess once you pay you are a burden. if this was a credit card payment that was late sears would have contacted me several times with threats and credit bureau attacks. But when it sears that is deliquient who pays? looks like it still falls on the customer. I wonder what would happen if i made sure no one in my family or friend circle stop ordering online from sears.

Poor poor store manager

I live in Westminster SC and have been shopping in the Kmart store in Seneca sc for years and i was there through all the managers and employees coming and going but yesterday i was just completely dissatisfied with the store manager Patrick Dimarco i was in the store for two hours shopping and waiting for my medicine and in those two hours i saw him be rude and disrespcetful to gis employees calling numourous employees onto the office with some of those employees coming out mad and crying over what he was doing i have never seen such a downgradeing manager in a store with the moral being the worst ive seen and i have noticed that the shelfves are low on products the store isnt staghit at times with missing signs or missigned products and to finish my review i must say that he is terrible about have nags tapes staples pens and recipt tape in stock Thank you Robert James Dyar

delivery, service awful

Ordered a new TV for a New Year; was charged the full amount immediately + weekend delivery fee. Received several calls confirming the delivery and scheduling particular time for it. ON THE DELIVERY DAY, TWO HOURS BEFORE DELIVERY TIME, got a call informing the they do not have units in town and nobody knows when those will arrive. Lost three days on this false delivery promise; will have no new TV for the New Year eve. Customer service is extremely bad, no chance to talk to any person who actually makes decisions; my requests for escalating a call were rejected. Customers beware! SEARS does not care!

Sears Automotive, Greensburg, PA

My daughter and I got stranded at the Westmoreland Mall in Greensburg, Pennsylvania on December 28, 2012. I really mean stranded because we were having a snow storm and were locked out of our vehicle when the both the passenger and driver side door locks wouldn't work with the key. We called the local mall security and they refused to help because we had the key, subsequently, called AAA and they also refused to help, although they would have towed us. We desperately walked over to Sears thinking that we could purchase something to help the locks to work. We met Nicolas Ackerman, General Manager of the Sears Automotive Department. He offered to help us and opened our car door with no expectation of compensation. We really couldn't believe that this type of gracious service is still alive in this country. Thank you, so much! We will be taking our vehicles to Sears for our services. We are spreading the word at every opportunity. This is what our world needs...it's not about money, but about personal service and we definitely got that through this experience.

WorstChristmas Ever thanks to Sears

I went out on Black Friday to Sear in Brooklyn Park MN and tried to purchase a camcorder for my mother for Christmas. I was told they never received any in stock, however they were allowed to order them and it was shipped to the store and I would be contacted when it arrived to pick it up. After 11/23 I constantly tried to call and checkup on my purchased item. I got no answer from the electronic department or they would tell me your item has not arrived. I finally got in touch with someone Christmas Eve for them to tell me my item was ordered incorrectly but not to worry, to just come on down to the store and they would be able to find me something else. I drive all the way to the store and the manager told me that there was nothing they could do for me. They could either reorder the item and I could wait for it or they could refund my money. Basically to bad so sad. I was so upset I started to cry in the store. Here it is the day before Christmas and I had no gift for my mother. This was the worst thing anyone could possibly do to someone on Christmas Eve. I had them refund my money and I will never shop at Sears again.

bad service

It's bad when you order an item for christmas (a christmes tree) and sears can not deliver like they say, then it gets even worse, they won't refund your money. then you can't get a phone number to call anyone but a call center,that can't tell you anything. bunch of ragheads that keep saying Im sorry!! YES they are!!!!! Anyone that does business with Sears would be a FOOL!!

UNACCEPTABLE SERVICE - JOPLIN AUTOMOTIVE

Less than a year ago we bought a brand new set of high grade tires from the Joplin Sears Store for my grandson's F150 pickup. They were close ot $900. He went out the other morning and found one with a simple flat. He changed tires and took the flat tire to Sears for service. They told him it would be $19 to check the tire to "see" if it could be fixed. In addition to that, it would be hours before they could or would look at it, and he couldn't just leave the flat tire and wheel. He had to leave the truck or wait for it. He called me, and I had him bring it home. We will find a competent friendly tire shop to deal with today. No wonder Sears is in trouble if they treat their loyal customers this way. We will never deal with Sears Automotive again.

Appliance not delivered fiasco

I orderd a dishwasher from a Sears store in Novi Michigan on 12/6/2012., it was supposed to be delivered 12/0/2012 , I took time off work, the seperate out souced Delivery and installation was a bungled fiasco, the wasted time stuck in automated answering phone systems, each representative told me with utmost confidence different stories, from that I need to pick up the item from the warehouse myself, to no oder registered against my phone number. everyone wanted to imply the sales guy was at fault, yet I witnessed him entering into the system all my details correctly including my phone number, and delivery date. e delivery team phone me and toldme they do not do the installation on the same day as the delivery, since they want to be sure it has been delivered before they come out.

Customer

I give 4 stars to your Sears Portrait in City of Industry, Ca. 91745 I give 1 star to her associate who refuse to make amend with the customer with regards to our complaint on the merging of pictures in a collage. She insists that it cannot be repaired.

Flat Screen TV

I purchased (on line) a 51" flat screen TV 10 days ago, and was told that delivery would be on 19 December 2012. It is now 4:20PM, and I have not heard from nor received the delivery of the TV. I never received a copy of the order via computer, but I will be uneasy until the TV is delivered and installed. please advise me what or when I may recieve this merchandise,. This was to be my husband's hristmas Present, and I will now need to go shopping again with no guarntee that the installation will be done prior to Christmas EVE.

Door in Door Fridge

AT this point just looking at the average reviews Im now assuming Sears not only doesnt care but does not read these reviews. I ordered the Door in Door fridge and after they delivered it and plugged it up it stopped working , same day! My wife called Sears and they said it will be a week before anyone can come out or that weekend until they can replace the fridge. We chose to replace the fridge and on the day they were suppose to come by with the new fridge they brought a freezer, and said our mistake it will be another week. This is just unacceptable that I buy a 3k dollar fridge and have to go without a fridge for two weeks. Customer service could care less however. To all those on this forum I recomend home depot or another customer service friendly store. Sears use to be a good place but I dont know what happened to them on the corporate side.

Horrible experience

My order was wrong from the start and I was charged wrong, wrong order, everything. Horrible customer service, lied to several times - I will never ever use there online or phone service again. I am out a lot of money because of their mistake, with no compensation and a negative bank account I would give them negative stars if possible.

not satisfied

I have protective coverage on all my appliances even my vacuum cleaner for many years. I have bought all my major appliances from Sears. I have been waiting for sears to come and fix my dishwasher for 2 months. I make an appointment, take off from work even call them when I see they haven' arrived yet they stand me up. This has happened 4 times. They don't even have the curtsey of calling me to tell me they are not coming. They call me the next day to make another appointment I make another appointment and they do the same thing. I have been a loyal customer of sears for many years and pay dearly for the extra warranty insurance I don't know what is going on with this company but I am very disgusted and not at all happy. Now I know what real frustration is. I would seriously think of changing companies for my appliances and insurance. They have costed me 4 days pay since I get paid by the day not on a salery

Layaway

What happen to Sears!How do you cancel a layaway and never refund the money I actually paid or you tell me the check is in the mail but never received it!

I have bought all our appliances through Sears for the last 25 years. In the past 5 years, I have purchased a new stove which had to be replaced 3 years later, and most recently, a dryer which was purchased 2 years ago, had a timer that went. After having a service technician come out ($75 just to come through the door), he had to order a new timer, which would come straight to my house. He charged my Sears account $199 just to come out and order the part. He told me that it would cost an additional $99 to come back and install the part. When the part came in, my husband installed it (took him 5 minutes to do), and I called Sears to cancel the installation. A few days later, I got a bill (in error) from the vendor who shipped the part to me and was amazed to find out the part only cost $33.80!!! That's almost 4 times the mark-up!!! I first called the vendor to say that I would not pay that bill, that I already got charged for it by Sears, and they were confused as to how I ever got billed for that part. My next call was to Sears to complain, and customer service offered me a refund of $65. The next day I got an e-mail saying that until I paid my bill, I could not receive the refund. I told them I had no balance. They said they forgot to charge me for diagnostics on the dryer, and that I now had a balance of $60.75. That man was extremely rude to me and said essentially, "too bad". I will never shop at Sears again for ANYTHING, and I ask all of you to boycott them too!!!!!

Dissatified customer

My whole house is Kenmore including my treadmill my washer broke and I called to get told it was not under warrienty, I talked with another person and told her this was the 2nd time it had broke since I owned it in 2007 and my girlfriend I talked into buying it has problems with hers. So I was told they would cover it free and I got 10% off the Store the person came and said no he wasn't doing it free and his boss told him no. I will never buy another Sears product as long zas I breathe if this does not get righted by me. I have stove, fridge, dishwasher, 2 vaccums, washer, dryer, and treadmill. I was lied to and waited for reapir from 1-5 to be told no it wasn't going to be fixed. Very dissapointed with Sears where did the customer service go.

As we have found out Sear cares nothing about addressing customer complaints from store level to Corporate Headquarters. We have been trying since Wednesday, November 14, 2012 until the present date of December 7, 2012. Promised call backs just do not occur, or they do not hold with their uttered words.. The same as their customer service is their response to a complaint LOUSY!< Disrespectful, just don't care about addressing complaints and sesolving them to the CUSTOMERS satisfaction and false promises of price-matching when an items price is lowered 4 days after a customer makes a purchase. The stores promise delivery and their delivery people do not have an item in stock to make delivery on promised time--inconvenience to the customer is absolutely of no concern--YET the want to charge you a non-refundable delivery when they can not deliver on time as promised;. This is another customer who had always respected Sears for many purchases over the past 40 years. But one more customer that will no longer be shopping at Sears--this after considering on 11/11/2012 of the future purchase of a refrigerator, washer and dryer-- which will be purchased elsewhere just because of The store, manager, appliance department manager and corporate headquarters attention to the purchase of a gas range. and thir inadequate attention or answers as promised!

Terrible Service

November 18th my Samsung refrigerator /freezer went on the blink. I had 12 people for Thanksgiving and no ice, no freezer and a refrigerator that was slowly going warm. On Nov.24th a technician came to fix it. Whatever she did did not work and right after she left the refrig. stopped working. 11/29 we had another technician look at it. It was the mother board he said and ordered the part. On 12/04 he returned, the part arrived and he attempted to fix it It was the WRONG part. He reordered the part. Today 12/06 I called only to find out the part is on back order. I am to call tomorrow to find out when to expect the part and set up a new repair appointment. I have made more than a dozen calls and I am totally frustrated with Sears and also the Samsung product. It is only 2 years old. I bought it in Sept. of 2010. I am 72 years old and have had several brands of refrigerators. None have ever had to be repaired. Most were left when I moved. My Amana I brought across country and had for over 12 years. NO Problems! I am so angry with Sears and the length of time I have had to wait to get this solved. Their service takes too long.. They should have parts available at all times in the cities they are servicing. I cannot afford to pay out several thousand dollars for a new refrigerator. They owe me big time and need to take care of this ASAP.
