Siding Instulation
Dont have Sears do Siding, botched the job and over 8 months later still have not received refund for overpayment, I really cant see how they are still in business. Look at all of these reviews really none are good. I closed my account with them. Dont even shop there any longer. Sad when you need to get a lawyer to fight for something you paid 23000.00 for.To give a rating have to go on the negartive side of the stars.
Worst crooks ever
I got a 5 yr warranty on a 600$ table saw and they say its not supposed to leave ur house home owner use only lol are these people serious the saw is built from factory with wheels to move around in and out of truck easily but their robbing people for buying warranties and discriminated against me cuz they basically said I'm using it for commercial and gave me huge problems and got rude and total depravation of character don't ever go to sears beileve me there terrible I will tell everyone I know and post blogs forever about them
Horid Service
My husband and I made a appt. on a Monday morning to have our dryer fixed on a Friday the earliest appt. between 8-12 pm. I called that morning at 9 am to make sure they were going to show up and I was assured that I would have service and we were on the listed to be serviced today. I called at 12pm to be told we weren't going to have service today and my appt would have to be reschedule for a different date because the tech was over booked. I called the customer service line to be hung up on twice and on the third time when I asked for a supervisior I was put on hold for thirty five minutes and than hung up on. What terrible customer service!!!! This is how company lose customers for life and wonder why they are bankrupt. #thatisall
Sears.com STINKS
I ordereed a pair of eyeglasses and after nearly a month of poor service they just canceled the order. This has been a discusting experience, poorly handled by you and your staff at every opportunity. Never the slightest proper followup or reasonable communication with your customer no matter how many times I had to reach out to you for your help. No less than 3 impersonal form letters were ever offered. An now, when you have finally wasted more than enough time, your final act of incompetant customer service is to merely cancel the problematic order STILL without ever having addressed the problem or provided your customer with the smallest degree of satisfaction. You clearly have no grasp of what "customer service" actually means. I will be forwarding this letter and the rest of our correspondence to everyone of authority in the Sears Corporation and across the internet because you had your many chances and wasted each one. I will never do business with Sears.com and will try my best to see to it that no one else does either.
Debit Refund
Fiance recently purchased a ring for me at Boise ID Sears. We had to take it back for a size change. The ring no longer available and he asked for a refund. We have waited for over two weeks, keep getting the run around as to why it hasn't happened, Sears says it was done but can't tell us when, or give us info. Very poor service and explainations. Will never shop Sears again.
Ripped Off
I ordered 2 vacuums and never received them. The money was taken from my account over 2 weeks ago. Same scenario as other reviewers...they need 5-7 business days to "research" my order. The seller's Sears' storefront has been taken down. He's long gone...along with my money that I'm trying to get back.
Dissatisfied
I called the Outlet store in Allen, TX twice and listened to a recording before the phone started ringing. It rang 5 times and then I got a disconnect sound. I then called an 800 support number and waited for another 15 minutes with no answer. I'm tryting to buy a cooktop, but find it impossible to make contact with your store. It is no wonder Sears is facing extinction. Sears deserves to no longer be in business.
Craftsman Weedwacker
I unfortunately bought 29cc, 4 cycle Craftsman speed start Weedwacker, gas trimmer. It stated INCREDI-PULL, UNBELIEVABLE STARTING EASE. What a bunch of bull. You pull 5 times on lever 1. Than you pull 3 do 5 times to start it. More than once a neighbor comes out offering their weed eater because with all the pulling mine is broke. Heaven forbid when it dies out, redo the steps. If I could afford a new one I would smash this this to pieces. S much for any future Craftsman buys at Sears
Refund problems
NEVER NEVER NEVER buy anything from Sears.com I purchased a battery at Christmas which they cancelled from my order and made me repurchase at the store. They claimed I was never charged for it but I was. I have contacted them 4 times. Each time I get the run around and am told to wait 1o business days. It has now been 3 months and I still have not gotten my credit. I proved to them that I was overcharged. Now they are telling me that I received my credit. I just sent proof again that I was not refunded anything. The poorest service ever, wish I could go right to corporate but they will not give that info, so the next best thing. I still have not received my credit, so I warn you all to not give them the business. On the upside I had to return something to Walmart.com I had a replacement in my hands before the new one was even sent back!
moral conscience
I just read in todays news that Sears and JC Penny have decided to pull their advertising during Saturday Night Live due to a recent skit on SNL in which SNL mocked Jesus. Thank you Sears and JC Penny for having the moral courage to represent a higher standard.

Sears - Not what they use to be
My sister purchased a stove from Sears. When I turned the eye on something in the oven popped. I contacted my sister who was at work and when she came home she turned the eye on in which it popped louder and the flame was green, the ticking sound when you are trying to turn stove on would not stop. So we unplugged the stove and unhook it, I am so glad my niece did not try to fix her something to eat. This all happened the second day, we did not cook anything the first day it was delivered. Upon my sister contacting sears they were unable to replace stove right away so my sister requested a refund, in which they returned partial due to hauling away old stove and hooking the new one up. This all totaled 109.72 that they kept. My sister would of kept the stove if it worked and would have let them redeliver if they had one available but they did not. She talked to everyone up to Corporate and they will not refund this money. I am purchasing a new house and I am in need of all new appliances guess where I am never ever going again. SEARS
HORRIBLE SERVICE & DELIVERY
As a LAWYER and BUSINESS OWNER, I have NEVER written a negative on-line review in my life -until now. Truthfully, this company is the WORST business that I have ever dealt with in my life. I made excessive phone calls, and when I finally got through, I was lied to several times, blown-off, placed on hold for 45 minutes, 40 minutes and 38 minutes, respectively. They refused to give me the names of their supervisors, and they would hand up on me when I would insist on getting information. They still have not delivered my order, despite 17 phone calls seeking assistance. Unreal. "Sears, where America shops and gets treated horribly!
owner's felony offences
I personally know someone who worked for the small "family-owned" Sears in Mt. Vernon, Ohio. One of the coworkers came across some information that this particular owner was imprisoned for rape of a minor (she was 11 and he was 19), they claimed it was a relationship, which is completely disgusting. He was also found guilty of forging checks he stole from a family member, kidnapping, among other things. This man not only owns the store but also sometimes does deliveries to customers homes. It's appalling to me that Sears would allow this. As a mother I would want to know if the delivery man coming into my home was a rapist.
Purchasing and Delivery Problems
I would not recommend Sears to anyone. We, my husband and I, have had several problems with Sears. We just bought big ticket items from Sears, in cash, and had to pay a variety of fees to them just to get them to deliver on Sunday. However, they are not able to deliver after a certain time on Sunday, they wanted us to change the delivery time and be charged yet again. Unacceptable! When you try to contact them, they put you on hold and eventually hang up. I want to speak to someone about their unprofessionalism and about their charging practices.
Worst Service ever
I bought a pair of sunglasses from their website on 1-22-13.. its now 3-2-13 and i still cant get my moey refunded, even though they can tell in their system that the order never filled. I have spoke to manager after manager who have given me every excuse in the book from their system being down, to i need to wait another 3-5 days for my bank to process the refund ( after 3 weeks, that excuse doesnt hold water). I have been hung up on, transferred all over the country ( and out of the country based on the level of incompetence on the phone), transferred to a bilingual line, and a generic voicemail... I would think long and hard about buying anything from Sears... there are so many other places that offer the same products for less and provide actual service. I ordered the glasses off of zappos.com, had them in 3 days and got them for 35 dollars less.... shame on sears..
Sears horribly service on Carrier HVAC unit
Sears service is horrible. We currently have lost heat for the 6th time since Thanksgiving. When I say lost heat, that includes the emergency/auxillary heat. The techs only put a band-aid on the problem by fixing whatever part of the unit has blown-out at the moment. Our case manager from the Sears Blue Ribbon Service does not even call us. He sends an apology email for the inconvenience, but does nothing for us besides that. Our temps in the area are in the low 30s. It is a Carrier unit, so not only will we not but anything from Sears, we will never purchase anything related to CArrier.
Lousy service
Wow! I came here to find out who to scream at and look at all the crappy reviews! Long story short, I dropped my Crapman snow blower off a Madison WI location. They don't do repairs there so they shipped it off to some place in Ill. One month later and still no blower. My wife called them again and it was going to be another 15 days for parts after the 7 to 10 day wait for parts. My wife begged him to try and rush it due to my medical condition that makes shoveling snow dangerous and he took it upon himself to send it back not repaired with a note saying that my wife didn't want to wait any longer which is a lie. So, one month later and $40 later and it's sitting at the Madison location still broke waiting for me to pick it up. SEARS SUCKS!!! I'm mailing you my Sears card (all cut up of course) and that's the last business I'll ever do with your crap-box store.
I think the rewards card is discriminative. There are lots of older custimers who shop at k mart and sears all the time but because they don't have an email they cant have a rewards card which is absurd. Also, as a customer, I think the employees should not be punished for sign ups. You can't force someone to get a card.
