On November 11, 2010 I purchased two gift cards from Save a Lot. When the cashier attempted to activate them, only one activated. It took approximately 15 to 20 minutes for the cashier and the manager to figure out which gift card actually activated! They could not tell from my receipt, and one of the cards had to be torn from the cardboard in order to gather any information needed to determine activation! Apparently, this has happened before to other customers. I believe the problem is with the computer programming! Be careful....I wouldn't buy ANY gift cards from Save a Lot if I were you. I know I'm NOT! By the way, the toll free number at the bottom of your store receipt is a sham. When you call, it asks for an access code; and there is no where on your receipt showing an access code. What's that! It is impossible to get to talk to ANYONE! I emailed the corporate office about this, and I have yet to receive a response to my complaint! Shame on you, Save a Lot!
i look at the circular before i go to my local save-a-lot. when i find something on sale that i need. when, i get to the store they never give me the sale price that is in the ad. when i asked why they told me the price that is in the paper is corprete not francise. what's with that?
Hi Save-A-Lot; For many months the store in Port Jervis, NY was closed. Now it looks as if it will open again. Well that is nice. I missed shopping in this store. All the goodness to the new owners and lots of good costumers. Ray S.
To whom it may concern; This may fall on deaf ears but I want to express my disappointment to Save-a-Lot for not giving a young man a second chance to make it good in life. He did commit a crime served his time and now is trying to get his life back together by going to school full time. He applied at your Clark Avenue Store in Cleveland, OH, he was honest answering all the questions including the felony, but you still denied him a job making $7.60 a hour. How is he supposed to get a job when no one will give him a chance. Your managers met the man and they liked him, he has experience and will work hard, please give him a chance to make it in this world, everyone makes mistake. Sincerely yours Evelyn Rivera

Attention: Mr. Ben Beaker Facilities Sir I hope you can help me. I am a 100% Service Connected Disabled Veteran and I want to boult a tempory type of metal and canopy structure like Save Aalot has at their Liberty Street Store here in Springfield, MA. The temporay type of structure with fabricated metal trusses and plastic/vinyl(?) top is sturdy and a good weather protector. Rather than building another garage the temporay structure would solve my problem for storage. If you could provide me with the name(s) of the local company, contractor who installed these structures in your parking lot on Liberty Street in Springfield that would be great. Thank you verry much and I look foreward to hearing from you. Eamon T. O'Sullivan, 34 Tacoma St. Springfield, MA. 01104 Tel. (413) 746-6164 Email failte1@verizon.net

Store 300 is my local store where we do our shopping. I had an encounter yesterday that I feel needs to be addressed. While making a selection of an item from a freezer I noticed the top layer of food was thawed. I apporoached the manager about it and was told "oh yeah" it's only defrosting and the food will freeze back up and be ok. That is how that freezer works. I quentioned thawing and refreezing meat being safe. Her answer was it does it all the time and it just feezes back up. I would appreciate and response to this to confirm it was read. As a consumer I will be leary of future purchases of frozen items and also advise friends of this practice. Thank you in advance for your research into this mater.
