Bait and Switch seems to be the way of doing business for Save A Lot. MANY, MANY times, they have had items on "sale" but did not have the items in stock... UNTIL the sale was OVER. The last time this happened, I decided to write a nice e-mail to the company. WOW! I actually got an apology back AND they were mailing me a $20 gift card for my "inconvenience". (I have spent WAY more on that for gas for useless trips to their stores.) Anyway, I am not surprised, but the "gift card" has never arrived. BS, like this, is TYPICAL for Save a Lot... especially in Florida. Another "laugh" is that the Port Orange store is moving to bigger digs, with WORSE parking. What does anyone want to bet that they will STILL have only one, MAYBE two cashiers, so there are, many times, more than a dozen people waiting in line.

i never thought i would agree /with any thing /jfcjr posted on line /or the bulletin on the wall of our four hundred home complex ==then i visited the save-a-lot store /52@19 port richey he ranted about= son of a gun/ if he wasn,t telling the truth =and this two days after he posted his notice/ i walked into the same thing=shelfs not stocked/ one cashier on duty =approx 10 people waiting to cast out / manger no ware tobe found/ and this on a sunday after church/p.s. one star is way to high

The sav-alot store in ocala has some of rudest employees, and management staff, there is. there is never enough cashiers , to open up another line, and there is never anybody on the floor to help . the management staff is invisible it seems like what cashiers there is there, are running the entire store. they can call for another cashier but no one shows up. i have been in there time and time again, and they were calling for cashier, and the only one on the floor would be an older woman i think her name in cindy and she refused to open up, and i just left my purchases there and walked out, they want the business, but they dont want to pratice good customer service. AND IFyou go in there on certain days of the week like on a sunday , its impossible to get any help in the meat department because there is no one to be found. when i asked if any one could help me in the meats i was told that the person was on the register, how is that good customer service?i will no longer shop in the ocala silver spgs store EVER AGAIN.

Store manager name is Roger very rude to customers and employees I left to go work for Price Chopper, Roger is a complete slob who takes advantage of his help, he did not like me because I was overweight everyone else is nice I don't know how the DM who looks like a poodle with his white uneven hair even got a job. He spits and sputters when he talks and babbles like a poodle. This company is a joke it is so far below the other grocers. The only people it is good for is welfare

I will never spend another cent in Save-A-Lot after tonight. I delivered a load of product to their warehouse in Winchester, KY and was treated as a third-class citizen. They refused to price the service of them unloading my trailer until AFTER it was unloaded. After they unloaded it, they over-charged me for the service. When the paperwork was finished and they had my money, they forced me to leave the property. They knew that I was out of legal driving time and still forced m to leave. I witnesed similar treatment of other truck drivers. This is how they bring you low prices. They treat your friends and family members as subhumans.

I have been a Customer if Sav-A-Lot Stores in Calhoun County Alabama for many years, until recently all my shopping experiences have been pleasant, however, within the last few Months the Sav-A-Lot circumstances have changed. They have brought in people from other areas to tell the managers how to run these stores, raised their prices, deleted many of the products people have gotten accustomed to buying and are now in the process of moving employees to other stores. They are cutting the hours of their employees as well as cutting their benefits. These people are people who have served me well in the past, and I feel as though they are betraying those that shop there. One person who has only been an employee at the Jacksonville store has turned out to be a snitch, I have been in the store many times when he was on the phone complaining about his fellow workers, in their years I have shopped there I know his complaints are untrue. Only after he has been employed there has so many changes taken place. Scott, Michael, and Christina have always gone out of their way to make the customers feel welcome, now they have brought in a new store manager by the name of Mr. Montgomery that looks down his nose at you if you try to communicate with him. I am thinking about taking my business elsewhere, there are other stores other than Sav-A-Lot especially in Gadsden that offer friendly service with employees that are treated well enough that they do not mind helping customers.

i love sav a lot. their bubba cola and mountaim holler soda ROCKs and I love their cheece. their frozen pitza is very good and i love their vienna sawsage and portside fish stiks i love save a lot yaayyyy.

My save-a-lot here in LaFollette TN has gone hill a bit with the produce,and I have had to take meat back because I would buy it the night before and the next day I would go to fix it and it would be horrid. They always give you grief about bringing it back for an exchange,I should not have to throw my money down the drain because their product sucked! I give a 1 star which I think is really better than they deserve because the customer service SUCKS! I have never in my life came across some of the most unfriendly cashiers in my life! Never ever get a hello or anything they barley even look at ya! I have even been left at the checkout mid checkout so the cashier could take a phone call,very unacceptable! I have even went out of my way to try and start the conversation with a few of them and I might as well of been talking to myself cause all they do is stare at ya and roll their eyes like you are stupid! RUDE! I have to say if it was not for the customers like me they ungreatfull people would not have a job! I am thinking of no longer shopping at the store because they obviously do not care about their customers,and frankly I am tired of being treated like I am a giant bother to them!

Corbin,Ky store (40701) this store is an absolute mess! My family and I used to shop there every week. The reason we stopped is because we got home on our last trip and had about $20.00 worth of items that were spoiled although the "expiration dates" indicated otherwise. Also they really need to perform random drug screens at this particular store because if the cashiers aren't outside smoking and peddling dope then they are inside too messed up to ring up your groceries. Highly recommend to RUN far away from this Sav-a-Lot and go right down the street to Kroger.

The last time we went to save a lot in Racine,WI. A table was blocking the pot pies. My husband hurt his leg reaching over the table for the pot pie I wanted. When he informed a worker they told him to tell a manager. He found a guy claiming to be the owner and told the owner that the table needed to be moved because it's blocking a product and told him that he hurt his leg reaching the product. The owner told him to go see a doctor. The doctor won't do nothing for him. When he told the owner he didn't care about the stores insurance or money all he wanted was the table moved for easier product access the owner had him escorted out of the store. Their prices are also a joke. What I normally pay about $120 for at save a lot; I only paid $72 for at aldis. To this day my husband has not received an apology for his treatment at save a lot and so now we will not shop there.

Beattyville KY store manager Paul Shepherd is the worst to people and employees. (His wife needs to wise up) Hate to go there anymore. Prices have gone sky high in the past year and their meat lately has been bad. Produce has gone down in quality and all the good employees in the past year have left because of that so called manager .

I used to shop at a Save-A-Lot in Louisville, KY (40216). It's a medium-sized town that acts like a small one. I had a rumor going around about me that wasn't true, and when I was checking out a woman from the meat dept. came up and started saying all of these things about me to the cashier who was waiting on me, based on the rumor she heard. The cashier she spoke too would always make comments when I was in her line about 'picking cotton,'which I tried to ignore because the store was close to my house. The meatpacker talked about me being lazy,watermelon and fried chicken. Basically, she was calling me the "N" word, without actually using it. There's no use contacting the manager because they stick together there. Once a relative of mine was in the store and heard an employee talk to a young white man about how one of the two blacks that worked in the store had hurt his leg and that they didn't want him to come back so she wanted him to put in an application so they could say the job was filled. Talk about racist!!!!!!!!!!!!

never buy meat or produce. it stinks. store here is craphole. usually out of milk cause noone fills it. have to get cashier to get it for you. fat boy manager and female helper smoking in back room hiding from customers and cameras. need to close down high point nc store, it stinks.................

I have shopped savealot for several years. I have learned to check dates. This week the cottage cheese was expired as was thousand island dressing by one month. I rarely buy milk, it usualy has only a couple days left. Wylwood sauerkraut was best on market, bought 4 cans for new years. Ingredients read sauerkraut water & salt.Where did the little brown seeds come from? The taste is not the same, no very good,my company said not my sauerkraut. Isen't it against the law not to have all ingredients listed?

I want to point out terrible store in high point nc. Ive been shopping there for 4 months and conditions there are in the crapper. The store would probably look better if the workers actually WORKED instead of smoking all day. I walk to the store and always pass some fat guy smoking and talking on his phone out front of the store. Just found out today, HE is the manager. If cashier needs help, she has to go outside to find him. The store has really gone downhill in the last week. All of the produce is rotten and the store stinks. I dont think Ill be back.

if anyone anyone employee or costumer have a complaint file with Ooec or BBB because to many things are happening to the shoppers and workers at pay alot,because likely the managers are making it a livin HELL for the employees inturn making it a shitty day and lot of girls are rude az hell cause of the way theyve been treated,{no excuse} my boss just took away my vacation because i disagreed a with write up {didnt know guy got cashback i was 20 dollars over}not my fault he didnt want his money and they got it not me.To employees: if u keep letting situations go by time they finally get rid of u. u have nothin saying u tried to correct the situation. If there gonna treat u like shit anyway make sure its on file. keep complaining, make your boss hate u.if fired it'll look like retaliation. Put in a complaint with the EEOC save a lot is being investigated a friend of mine is VERY SERIOUS about class action suit [they tried to pay her hush money she declined]she said they would merge all complaints

This is by far the worst grocery store I have ever shopped at. In fact, I am going to call the health department tomorrow. This is the third time I have gone there and each time I have received food that has gone bad. For instance, I got two orange bags that had oranges that were bad but I couldn't tell because the bag is sealed and they were in the middle. The Cucumbers I got that were marked down were a health hazard. It is ILLEGAL to sell this type of food. If it has already gone bad you CANNOT SELL IT. THERE ARE REGULATIONS for what you can sell people. The meat goes bad within a day. Unfortunately the typical savealot store targets low income families that will not complain. YOU CANNOT DO THIS, AND I WILL MAKE SURE SOMEONE INVESTIGATES THAT STORE!!!
