I have to shop at Save-A-Lot or travel 30 miles to another one. Believe me if gas keeps going down I will travel to the next store. I live in Cross City Fl. I have shopped at this store since it opened. I am wondering whats wrong with the manager that he refuses to hire any one that isn't a teeny booper. If they aren't on the phone or texting there chatting with each other...Just out of curiosity I asked the manager about a job and was told they aren't hiring. Ok fair enough except my grandson, who is 18 yrs old went in and was told exactly how where and when to apply for a job. I have a good mind to talk to a lawyer. Needless to say my grandson means more to me so for now I will bite my tongue except for here. Thanks Save-A-Lot for all the older people that need a job in our area!
F____ Save alot in Pensacola,Florida and that fat red lip cashier who think she,s a manager,,she is the problem at that store.FIRE HER PLEASE.
i like that it is not right to make a good customer pay 25 cent to use a shopping cart when they are not able to pay a phone bill or take care of their famlies , but i think that making us pay for doing the job of savealot empylees is wrong , also make the customer pay to get a plastic bag is not ok , you don't : walmart or kmart or winn dixie or biglot publix or welgreens asking their customers to pay for shopping carts or plastic bag to rip off their customers do you so with that you lost a customer and i am not the only one so don't make us pay $ 10.00 just to use a shopping cart, thats so wrong ! and we don't get the saving from it from this so u simply lie to your customers! my problem with palatka 32177 fl store and it should get fix because us poor folk cannot pay our hard earned money on your shopping carts so i boycot u good bye
Save a lot has lost my business! for the last year the food has been horrible. The meats are always sour, bacon chicken roast, etc. and the other products like corn on cob and taco shells are molded.. frozen foods are not frozen and have even been mildewed.. gross :( please do better, we are not saving money if the food we purchase is no good and has to be thrown away, GET IT TOGETHER SAV A LOT! FLINT MI DORT HWY STORE
We do most of our grocery shopping at the store in Slidell, LA. Love this store and can't say enough about it. However, I really wish you guys would open a store in Covington/Mandeville, LA! There is one in Hammond (25 miles west) and one in Slidell (25 miles east). It would be great to have our own!

I want to complain on the save alot on south orange blossom trail and Holden in orlando Fla I went there at three a clock this afternoon on 5/27/2012 and the woman manager was rude to. Me a Blake lady with glasses I don't know her name. I got all my Wic stuff and when I got to the register they said I did not have the right Wic bread so they checked and were out so I put my stuff back cause I need my bread that's included in my Wic and that woman made fun of me to another black customer cause o couldntbuy my own bread she was saying I felt like she was being racist. I hope that she gets in trouble ad well ad the store for not havingwhat they should have that's why I pit this complaint on here
i shop in the bayonet point store the help is always very friendly and every body there works extremely hard i have been in line before and am glad to see when they open another register to take the next customer in line who has been waiting the longest not the jerk at the end of line who tries to cut every one off . my hats off to the employees at this store . im sure like big corporate business they have very little hours to work with. for people that are impatient and like to slander these people go spend more else where . good day
this is to reference joey caruso i too shop at bayonet point save alot and every one there is friendly and polite including all the managers maybe you shouldnt be cutting in front of other customers did you ever think you were the problem time for a reality check.i watch those employees they work hard
I was just wondering what kind of service or application process you have to do to get hired at a save a lot store. Undoubtly they don't care who or what they hire or check background infomation or medical conditions of there workers or managers. The save a lot store in Waynesboro,TN has hired as a manager that has hepitis C what if he has to work in the meat department one day and cuts his finger, then cuts up meat to be sold in the store. Also he has a known drug addiction and has been in rehab numerous times. The owner must have alot of money because the manager really likes money(if you know what I mean)
I love our Sav-a-lot; The canned goods are great in taste and cost.Out of all that I buy at Sav-a-lot the #1 commodity is BUTTERMILK, and man I have drank buttermilk of every brand, and Sav-a-lot's is "THE" best I have ever found. I grew up on a farm and we had one cow that was all our favorite out of all that we had. Bossie was a brown swiss, cow and folk I swear she gave 5 gallon's of milk every day that rolled around.I can hear some of you saying now, YEAH YOU WISH !! but it was true. We had so much milk that Moma had to sell milk and butter, made from an electric churn, after Moma's arm got to just about falling off.I thought that ole Bossie's milk was the best , until I bought a gallon at Sav-a-Lot on a test run, and now I can't get enough. So yall keep it on the shelf please, Danny T. Gadsden Al
I was a long time save a lot shopper, until just the past week, their prices have gotten a lot higher and many times, they don't keep the basic things in stock, needed for even the most basic meal. The lines have gotten longer and longer and the management are and staff are never friendly, in fact the crew often tells me how much they hate working there... But, the straw that broke the camels back, was when I went by this past week, they had the carts locked up and let me know, I would need to put in a quarter to get a cart, they did say they would give the quarter back, but the point is, i normally pay using a debit or credit card, and don't normally have change in my pocket, sure they will give you change, but who has time for just another extra step....added to something already not that great...I called the manger and told him, they were losing my business, that I was no longer going to spend the 500- 650 I have been spending , and that I was not going to shop there anymore...his attitude was like what ever....save a lot just lost 500 plus worth a business a month, due to demanding a quarter for a cart...Walmart and publix are a block away...and they will be getting my money...Save a lot don't be so petty and stupid...it's gonna cost you a lot of sales....
I shop in the Kansas City, Mo area. I enjoy the stores and store managers and employees. Its the upper management that I have a problem with. They are clueless on how to run or budget these stores. Some of the problems are that they have never run a store or work with the public to understand how to run a business. When you pull them out of diapers to run a district. Well you get what you get. young kid who knows NOTHING!! Good Luck to the managers who have to deal with them or him. Met him not impress!!!
I have lived in Crossett, AR most of my life. We are a small town and have 3 grocery stores and a Wal Mart to do our shopping in. In the last year the Save A Lot had gotten really bad. Understocked, out of date stuff, and just no one who seemed to know what they were doing. Recently they hired a new manager. She has come in and cleaned the store up. Now it is full of items, especially ad items, it is clean, and there are friendly cashiers. Just wanted to brag on the Crossett store for their improvements in the past few months.
Let me start with saying all the people who work at this store are awesome people. However the food in the store is terrible. This is the store in Hannibal Missouri 63401... I stopped shopping there because all of the frozen food is not frozen. Pick up a bag of french fries or chicken nuggets and most of the time they are soft. If the food does happen to be frozen, it is always covered in ice. The food there has been this way for years... I was taught in school (home EC) to grab the food in the back to get the freshest product but at this store i reach to the back and i get moldy food. I don't see how i can trust their food to be safe when frozen food isn't frozen, or appears to have been thawed and refrozen how many times? I wish i could shop there since i only live 2 blocks away :(
This is to warn anyone that shops in the early morning on the day that the sale prices are to take effect. This Save-A-Lot store is in Holiday Fla. This has happened on several occasions and this was the last straw for this store. I spent 45 minutes shopping the store and with my printed list asked the manager if the sale prices would be in effect at the register. He told me he has not entered them into the system and they were not available as of yet! Also that I would pay the price that they ring up at! YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How many people are you acutally ripping off for you not updating prices?? This is totally unacceptable and to not care that I had a basket full of groceries that I DID JUST LEAVE THERE!! I went to another Sav-A-Lot store 3 miles from them and approached the manager there. He assured me all sale prices are in effect and felt sorry for how I had been treated by the Holiday manager! I will never ever again shop at that store! I am also a business owner myself and would never rip off one of my customers! This problem with this Sav-A-Lot needs to be corrected in the way they handle their pricing of sale items. When you advertise it starts on that day, IT NEEDS TO BE PRICED READY FOR YOUR CUSTOMERS TO SHOP AT THOSE PRICES when the store opens on that day. NOT WHEN YOU FEEL YOUR READY TO UDATE THEM!!!!!!!
I live in Jacksonville, Florida, and I must say that I have no problems with any of the Save-A-Lot stores in this city, in fact I wish we had even more of them located in some of the areas where there aren't any, especially wish they had one in my neighborhood. I saved money on several products I use frequently by shopping there. They don't have a meat counter to brag about, very short meat counter, but what they do have is still cheaper than what the other grocery stores in my area charge. Almost everything that they do carry is less expensive than Winn Dixie, the closest store to me.
my wife and I went to visit your new store in Longmont and as we where walking up a van that was obviously there at the stores request was parked on the sidewalk offering some kind of store deal, I took a picture wih my phone, any way all the sudden the guy there started playing music VERRY LOUD that in it self some folks might not find to bad but the thing is my wife 1 day prior had just underwent an operation on her left eardrum after almost being deaf after 25 years. I honestly cant uderstand how you folks dont even think any further than the end of your nose if there is any complications out of this you wll be hearing from me you know ther are laws regaurding the allowable amount of decibles aloud in open public.
One of my sorry-loser-non-paying tenants is an employee at Save-a-lot, so it makes shopping a nightmare. He has actually called me from the STORE to cuss me out and harrass me. I have spoken to the police about the matter and something will be done soon, but I just think that CORPORATE should know that their employees are using the stores phone line for harrassing people!!! My attorney is gonna have a field day with this one :)
The worst store in Pensaccola,Fl,hope the new grocery outlet will do them in.That cashier who think she,s something important, I,ll be sure to see you in the unemployment line.
