We stopped in the Ruby Tuesday in North Platte Nebraska at 7:00pm on 11/07/10. We tried to order our meal, however they were out of everything, including baked potatoes. We finnaly found something they did have and ordered. Our hot tea came to us luke warm. Went to the ladies rooma and found pubic hairs on toilet set. After a good 45 minute wait, the waiter informed us they were out of the french fries on our order. He did say we could go to the salad bar free, however it was FILTHY! The salads had not been refreshed in so long the dressing on the cole slaw was seperating into water. The place was not busy either people. This was tomain city to the max. This was our first time at Ruby Tuesday and it will definately be our last. I am considering contacting the health department. We left our cold tea and went to the Burger King.
Jacksonville,Nc. 10/07/2010 took family to your Sunday brunch. How can you compete with other restaurants that have a Sunday brunch but you don't offer much . 11.00 dollars for French toast and fruit but you can go up the road to O'charleys and get a French toast platter with eggs Bacon and other sides for about the same price. Services was slow had to wait 20min. to get drinks and asked for straws twice didn't get them we had to goto the bar and get them ourselves. The restaurant had just opened and there was barley anyone there and the services was slow and poor. If you want a good brunch or breakfast you best bet would be to goto IHOP, Crackerbarrel, or other restaurants that have been doing the brunch theme for a while.
I absolutely LOVE Ruby Tuesday, I always get steak and lobster. One thing to complain about though is the lobster tail is way too little. But I always get sick after eating there ):
My husband andI went to dinner here in Dartmouth, Ma. Saurday. Although it is the best salad bar ever, my complaint is about the meal my husband odered. He had the Crabcake dinner wirh Broccoli and smashed red potatoes. He and I could not believe one crabcake for the price and it was flatened out like a pancake. There was nothing to it. They tried to make it look like you were getting more for your money and it didn't work. Crabcakes are served thick in the first place and certainly one of those is not even close to enough for a man and probably a woman as well. We were very dissapointed............
September 29th I went to work, on my schedule i knew I was training but in that process I was told that I had to split tables and tips down the middle. The trainee didnt even clock in under server train. I have been with this company for 12 years and not once have I ever heard such a thing.October 1st This morning I called corporate and voiced on the situation on the 29th.Later that day I got whats rightfully mine but I lost my job. What I find so amazing with the employee hotline there not there for the employees especially when thet say Roger Stracener will call you back and Michael Schmanke uses words " if this is all of a 12 year old skeleton i count my self lucky" whats so sad about this man thats trapped in a pair of kakis and a white button down shirt he has no clue when it comes to running a restaraunt. He walks in the restaraunt seeing dollar signs but he cant walk up to a employee and say hello followed by a name. This is a man with a low character that when it comes to employees hes to self absorbed in himself and his own wallet.Hes the type he likes to take from employees and not give .
I was employed at the Ruby Tuesday in Christiansburg, Va. until today; two days ago I was rudely disrespecfully and loudly cursed by the bartender on duty, Courtney, for recieving a phone call from my fiance re/ the police at my house returning my keys and some things that had been stolen from my home...I asked the manager on duty, Stephanie, to please speak to Courtney about this problem...the problem was "resolved" with the statement "if you dont like the way she talks to you go home" so i did lol I arrived at work tonight at 5:55 for my measly two hour $8.00/hour shift and was met at the door by Josh Jones, the store manager, who simply pointed and said the word "No" ... I asked for a fair chance to tell my side and give names of people on the shift who had witnessed what happened ... he would hear NOTHING , not allow me to speak, yet did not tell me i was terminated I have been in the foodservice industry for 17 years with a locally reknown kitchen skill and demanor and a spotless work record ... I would like to know if it is Ruby Tuesday Corporate Policy to deal with all like situations in this manner or if this store just has severe management problems ... feel i was done dirty lol btw the corporate number Stephanie gave me was NOT the correct number...888-533-4352 is an adult "singles" line lol are these people for real? i would NOT want them in control of my money or inventory nor the safety and fair treatment or well being of their employees ... THIS RESTERAUNT IS A JOKE IM NOT EVEN ANGRY I WOULDNT WORK FOR AN ESTABLISHMENT LIKE THAT ANYWAY BUT IT NEEDS TO BE MADE PUBLIC AS ITS THE ONLY THING I CAN DO AS A PERSON WHO DID NOTHING WRONG AND NOW IS LEFT WITH CHILD SUPPORT AND NO INCOME
First of all, I want to let everyone know how tip percentages work at Ruby Tuesdays. As servers, they are required to tip out 5% of their sales. So on a $20 bill for example, they have to tip out $1 dollar from that meal, regardless if they get a tip or not. That percentage goes towards tipping out the host, bus boy and the bartenders. If you're food is not well, it really it's not right to punish the servers or hostesses by not leaving a well tip because in the end, every one suffers, even those who are working very hard.
I have been working at Ruby Tuesdays for about 2 months now and although I am a server, I haven't seen a paycheck in a month. Recently, the RT I work at, has gotten rid of paper paychecks and has gone digital. All of our paychecks now either come through direct deposit or a visa card given to us. I enrolled in direct deposit a month ago, and based on my pay per hour and tax deductions, I should have been getting paid atleast $20-$30 a week and haven't seen it. I'm getting very frustrated because I'm not getting paid for the hours that I'm working there. Many of the other employees have been complaining too about not seeing a paycheck for weeks or months even. That's not legal to withhold our paychecks from us, for whatever reason. This new paycheck system is unorganized and yes, it may save the big corporate offices costs on paper by going digital...but your not paying your employees and it's not right. It's very frustrating and I've been calling the corporate office and talking to my managers and no body has any answers.
Disgusting beyond measure: Where's management and the health inspectors. Dined at noon on Sunday at the Ruby Tuesday's #4918 across from the mall in Bloomsburg PA. From start to finish it was most unnerving and I for one will never enter another Ruby Tuesday’s. This place needs shut down, cleaned and only reopened after new management is put in place and people are appropriately trained. I should have known something was wrong when I pulled in the lot and there were only a few cars while a neighboring restaurant was packed. When my wife and I entered the restaurant, we were the lone individuals waiting to be seated and in looking around from what we could see, there were only a couple of tables occupied. Yet, we waited for what seemed like an eternity for a hostess to seat us. While we were waiting, I counted 7 employees standing looking at us from behind the bar area. Upon being seated I noticed the table was dirty and the wall next to our booth was splattered with food that had been there for some time. Even the back of the booth was covered with dust. It was at that point that I should have left but regrettable didn’t. The waitress appeared in reasonable good time and I ordered a smokehouse burger and fries. When the burger arrived I lifted the bun to add condiments and staring at me was a four or five inch long hair. I called the waitress over and showed her the hair. She apologized, and stated she would place a new order and make the manager aware. While unhappily waiting for something to eat, I looked around and noticed the filth on the floor and the baseboards. I also looked up at the air units in the ceiling which had caked on dust and filth. Likely the source of the dust on the back of the booth and on the table when we arrived. A lady finally arrived wearing a white top and no hair net(possibly the manager) with a new burger and quickly sta
I went to the Westbrook, ME location. Ordered a beverage from Jess and was specifc with my request for my meal. Of course the steak came out cooked less than I requested. The broccoli came out without butter. The baked potato came out without either butter or the sour cream I requested. I almost choked when I bit into the steak while waiting for butter/sour cream. Fatty, veiny steak. Gross! I told the server Jess that I couldn't eat the meal and requested a manager to indicate I will leave and find another resteraunt. Mike the manager comped the meal and made no apologies. I'll never visit the location again for the poor service only re-inforced by Mike the manager of this location. Little does little Mikey know is that I have many contacts in the area and will be very vocal of the awful food I got at this location.
worst sever we ever met , me and my wife decided to dine at ruby tuesday here at 930 valkenburg st honolulu hi 96818 troy is his name it took him appx 8 minutes to take our drink order when he drop the drinks we askes if we could take our appetizer order he dismiss us by saying im very busy im goin to make my rounds and get you order and walk away, five minutes later thats a total of 12mins with his high sarcastic tone of voice i immediately ask for manager and we request new server 15 min later troy was behind our table talking to other custumer intentionaly sending us a message with arrogant sarcastic high pitch voice some custumers just dont understand that im too busy.first of all its not the custumers problem how busy you are ,so i called the mgr roxy and tell her ,my point is i should not be insulted when i spend my hard earned dollars to your restaurant that was totally unacceptable worst dine out experience we ever had
My husband and I went to Ruby Tuesday's in Ringgold, Ga, for lunch. We enjoy everything from full meals to hamburgers to the salad bar. Today we ate breakfast late, so decided to order the salad bar; it is definitely enough for a light, but filling meal. NOT TODAY! I went to the salad bar and looked for the usual delicious and numerous choices. They were missing. There was no potato salad, no broccoli salad, no pasta salads, no toppings, mushy apple salad, no cucumber salad, and on and on. There were small containers of shredded carrots, beets, cauliflower, edame beans, garbanzo beans, and one pasta with ham. Lots of salad dressings to smother the lack of substance for the rest. When I came back to the table, my husband said, "Where is your salad?" I said, "Go fix yours and you'll see; there's nothing there." So he came back with a small square plate with enough for a little kid, maybe. We called the manageer over and asked where the salads were,. She said that RT had changed the salad bar to be more healthy--corporate decision. Well, mistake--BIG mistake. We won't be eating at RT any more unless the salad bar is changed back to include more than lettuce and a few canned beans and peas. It's too bad because my husband and I usually ate there once a week. Now I geuss it's Applebees or O'Charley's. Too bad; we realy preferred RT.
I am very disapointed in Ruby Tuesday Restaurant here in Festus. The prices have gone higher, and the food has gotten worse, you have done away with the potato salad, and the brocilli salad. the portions have gotten smaller and smaller. I was embaressed to take guest from out of town to eat at you restaurant and an hour later get our food. Please clean up your act or you will be out of business in no time. Sincerely Patricia
I worked at a Ruby Tuesday in Worcester, MA and what I saw was deplorable. Although their were some efforts to keep the back of the house clean, it was the laziness of what I saw that has prompted me to write. The ice machine, where all of your ice comes from for all of your drinks, had mold lining the interior. I was asked to wash it one day with the ice still in the machine. I put plastic bags over the ice, hoping not to get any mold in the ice. Next the knives. Sometimes they are cleaned, but some have tips broken off or are caked on with residue from not being cleaned over time. And like some of the other complaints from workers and customers, the employees came in, mainly and talked about their clubbing adventures and how drunk they got. Also getting employees to use gloves to touch the food was like a crap shot. Not healthy. A call to the health inspector and to the corporate office may help that. I also heard that the General manager was previously demoted from another Ruby Tuesdays and is trying to salvage his reputation. Not looking good....
my daughter is a employee at your orlando ruby tuesdays.while on the clock working as the hostess.her manager had an employee call off.the manager called another employee to fill the call off.the employee that was called in had no ride to work and no way of getting there. the crewleader asked if he could use my daughters auto to pick the employee up since his car was not working.my daughter let him use her car wich was involved in an accident while my daughter was still working with the crewleader who was still on the clock driving her car.my daughter needs a police report so her car can be repaired the police wont give her the report because she wasnt in her car at the time of accident.the crew leader is the only person who can get police report which he refuses to do.is that the way ruby tuesdays hires their crewleaders my daughter is only 18 years old is it ruby tuesdays policy to use employees autos to pick up other employees then neglect them at a time of need is there any way you can help us out all we want is a police report and your crewleader wont get us one!!!
I have eaten at Ruby's in rockledge fl for years because its one of the few nice places to eat at before I have to drive across the bridge to merrit island. I am NEVER eating at this Ruby's ever again. Why would someone who spends money here allllll the time especially at the bar finally leave? New management makes this place unbearable. Apparently all he wants to do is yell at people in front of customers in the dining room, i could hear him in the kitchen, and in the bathroom. I dont want to eat somewhere where all i here is yelling, thats not good management and when i had a complaint about my coffee being stale he yelled at the person right in front of me. I liked the old manager he was nice and customer friendly and now im just embarrassed that i got someone fired for something so little and i know people who work there and they say hes firing people left and right for no reason at all and these are good people who have families and bills to pay and who were GREAT servers. They made me feel welcome because i was a regular, now i will never go back.
I, having a backround in food and culinary, worked there recently in the chester village rubys of va. The cook staff was very disrespectful automatically showing me it was not a team playing environment. they had poor response to shortages, never prep enough items, and too many 86 items daily. the servers were great, but because of the kitchen staff, were getting hurt by the kitchens imcomplete inventory, wait times, not having the side they ordered etc. I have noticed few good comments and many bad times spent in many tuesdays. For you guys having the most diversified menu, the way it is cooked and the staff surrounding it is very poor. Corporate needs to step their foot in every door soon before the good name is further destroyed and families depart from returning. any questions call 804 868 9722
Ruby Tuesday will almost certainly blow a gasket when it reads this letter but I unequivocally must make the case that Ruby Tuesday's expedients are a mockery of all that is fair and equitable. The key point of the following exposition is that we must remove our chains and move towards the light. (In case you didn't understand that analogy, the chains symbolize Ruby Tuesday's petulant canards, and the light represents the goal of getting all of us to hold it responsible for the hatred it so furtively expresses.) I thought it couldn't be done, but, once again, Ruby Tuesday's exegeses have sunk to a new low. Ruby Tuesday snorts around like a truffle pig in search of proof that it is a perpetual victim of injustice. I suspect that the only thing that Ruby Tuesday will find from such a search is that a great many of us don't want it to interfere with a person's work performance, bodily security, physical movement, and privacy rights. Still, we feel a prodigious societal pressure to smile, to be nice, and not to object to its indelicate animadversions. In keeping with all of their inner revolting brutality, Ruby Tuesday's cronies shock and stampede the public into accepting total fascist tyranny. If Ruby Tuesday is going to talk about higher standards then it needs to live by those higher standards. Ruby Tuesday's blind faith in Chekism leads it only to corruption. Its surrogates probably don't realize that because it's not mentioned in the funny papers or in the movies. Nevertheless, as Ruby Tuesday matures morally it'll eventually grow out of its present way of thinking and come to realize that an injustice anywhere is an injustice everywhere. Keep that in mind the next time you catch Ruby Tuesday dragging everything that is truly great into the gutter. What Ruby Tuesday does in private is none of my business. But when it tries to flush all my hopes and dreams down the toilet, I object. To borrow the immortal words of a certain, well-known authority figure, "Otiose nose-in-the-air snobs thrive when the rest of us underestimate the threat they pose or are too weak or unorganized to hold the line." We must all face the storm and stress of lifting the fog from Ruby Tuesday's thinking. This exercise will, at the very least, demonstrate to the world that on several occasions I have heard Ruby Tuesday state that all it takes to solve our social woes are shotgun marriages, heavy-handed divorce laws, and a return to some mythical 1950s Shangri-la. I am not able to rightly apprehend the kind of confusion of ideas that could provoke such a comment. What I consider far more important though is that many people are worried that Ruby Tuesday will reward mediocrity by next weekend. I don't like to speculate on uncertain things, but I will say that if you're interested in the finagling, double-dealing, chicanery, cheating, cajolery, cunning, rascality, and abject villainy by which Ruby Tuesday may redefine unbridled self-indulgence as a virtue, as the ultimate test of personal freedom, as soon as our backs are turned, then you'll want to consider the following very carefully. You'll especially want to consider that I cannot compromise with Ruby Tuesday; it is without principles. I cannot reason with it; it is without reason. But I can warn it and with a warning it must obviously take to heart: Ruby Tuesday believes that its undertakings provide a liberating insight into life, the universe, and everything. The real damage that this belief causes actually has nothing to do with the belief itself but with psychology, human nature, and the skillful psychological manipulation of that nature by Ruby Tuesday and its self-righteous comrades. Many the things I've talked about in this letter are obvious. We all know they're true. But still it's necessary for us to say them because some time ago I conducted a series of in-depth interviews in which I discovered that most respondents truly don't want Ruby Tuesday to boss others around.
