First, let me start out by saying that my purchase on 7-14-12 was my first experience with Rooms To Go as I usually shop at Pottery Barn or City Furniture. The store experience was good and my sales associate, Fazi Ali, was nice and helpful. Now, here is where I let you know the real reason for which I am writing, and so, for what it’s worth, I would like to express my disappoint regarding the less than pleasant part of my Rooms To Go experience, the customer service department at the toll free number and the customer service with the office manager at the Oakland Park, FL store location, Tay. Specifically, I am speaking about how my delivery was severely delayed due to a broken down truck and how my entire customer service experience was very poor and demeaning. The following is a brief explanation of my bad experience: My delivery was scheduled for Saturday, 9-15-12, with a 4 hour window from 7am to 11am. At approximately 10:45am on 9-15-12, I received a call from the customer service department to tell me that the truck had broken down and that I was now in the 10am to 2pm window for the same day delivery. I had already waited almost 4 hours and now I was going to have to possibly wait another 4 hours. I said ok to the new time but expressed that I would like to be first priority when they figure out the problem and that if I wait until 2pm and no one comes that I would like my delivery charge refunded. The customer service rep made a note in my file and provided me with no further help. At approximately 1:45pm I get a phone call from the truck driver to tell me that they are on their way and will be at my home within 30 - 45 minutes (this would make it 2:30pm which means I will have waited around from 7 ½ hours). At 2pm I call customer service to ask for a refund of my delivery charge and they refuse to give me any type of refund nor help and proceed to tell me that “7am to 11am is a courtesy window and that they could possibly deliver up to 10pm”. Now, that to me means that the Rooms To Go policy is that the company is doing me a favor by providing a 4 hour window when in fact I could be waiting around from 7am to 10pm. How is that a courtesy? Aren’t I the customer and didn’t I pay Rooms To Go for a specific service? How is it that I am the one to suffer when so far at this point Rooms To Go has not held up their promise of Service, Convenience and Value? It seems that everyone at Rooms To Go, specifically all customer service persons that handled my phone calls feels that way. To make a long story short, after many disappointing customer service phone calls and lies regarding the times when the truck was actually coming, they finally arrived at 3pm. All of this is in a file under my name and phone number if anyone wishes to reference the specific details of the numerous phone calls. Also, whether its appreciated or not, I have two suggestions from a customer point of view that I don’t believe is a lot to ask for since I am the one paying for a service. One is that your customer service department in the store and at the toll free number needs much improvement and most importantly if a truck breaks down that you have a faster response time of transferring items off of the truck and onto another so that the customer would only have to wait another hour or so over the scheduled delivery time. Now, with all of this being said, I have decided that this was my first and last time doing any business with Rooms To Go.

I ordered a suede couch and got it last week, after one night I noticed a centipede on the floor beside it.. I just dismissed it and figured my husband brought it in on his clothing from fishing or something. The next night I noticed another one beside the couch! I then had my husband to flip the couch on its back and do you know what I found?????!!!! A whole that had several centipedes inside!!! OMG I called them and they told me that they would replace it NEXT SATURDAY!!!!!! I was like that's insane! This couch is going outside ASAP!!!! UGH! So freaking insane!

I thought that Rooms were were high quality furniture, my husband bought two rooms ,from the Pensacola Rooms to go in December 13 our furniture is not a year old yet and it is only me and my husband that lives here no kids, they were going to replace my furniture but the had sent my husdand a bill for the replacements, and he was not going to pay for any more furniture from rooms to go the couch cushions were flat and that was all that we wanted for them to be replaced, we tried to call then and they will not answer you or respond to your calls they leave you on hold very ugly people talk to you but it they had to pay for it they would not like this treatment at all, now they back of the couch has a big bump on the side as if the the fabric was not sew right its a hot mess. I have a chair that is fading for no reason I used the cleaner that they gave me for the dust that was all I look at it and it is faded on the seat of the chair I am hurt about this unfair treatment and will tell everey one not to go to Rooms to go. I am going to the better business to file a complaint of this unfairness to us. They said that they are sending out a services person, we will see I want the furniture replaced or else.

ROOMS TO GO ALTAMONTE is the worse furniture store on Altamonte. If you want none damaged items and good customer service please go to hudson's. I bought a dining room table for a family dinner Saturday. Today is Thursday and I was supposed to receive my dinette set, the delivery guy said the table is broken in half. He the earliest I would be able to get the table set is next Thursday but he is not sure. I called the store manager and he told me that I should of kept the broken table and had my family dinner on it. Right now I have an empty dining room, I don’t know when I will receive my shipment and there is no refund. Horrible company!!

ROOMS TO GO ...BIG CROOKS THEIR FURNITURE SUCKS.......I BOUGHT A LIVING ROOM SET IN NOVEMBER 2011, MY FURNITURE IS FALLING APART. I HAVE NO KIDS NO PETS AND THEY ARE TELLING ME THAT IT IS WARE AND TEAR......BULL SHIT IT'S ONLY ME. THE TECHNICIAN THAT CAME TO MY HOUSE TO SUPPOSEDLY TO GIVE THEM HIS OPINION TOLD ME THAT THEY NEEDED TO STOP USING THIS MATERIAL BECAUSE THEY ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM.........ROOMS TO GO SUCKS......CROOKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

just bought new living room set the couch was supposed to have a sleeper now they want 250 more for the same couch been transford to every dept. on hold for one hour cindy crawford you work for this company.dont go to pompano fl store bunch of scammers

I, too, am an unsatisfied customer who will never shop at Rooms to Go again and will be sharing my experience with my family and friends. Defective products and unfriendly, unprofessional customer service is the downfall of many businesses and obviously Rooms to Go is headed downhill quickly. We ordered a Cindy Crawford table and chairs - it was delivered the very next day. However, all of the chairs wobbled and the table would not go all the way together. One side of the table is warped and there is a gap where the 2 sides are supposed to meet in the middle. The deliverymen could not fix it, but they weren't allowed to just take it back and deliver another one. Instead, a "technician" had to come out next (2 1/2 weeks later)to see if he could fix the problems. He was able to fix the chairs, but of course, he couldn't fix the table because it is defective and damaged. Now he has to place an order for them to send out another table. Who knows how long that will take and if that table will be defective also....... I am contacting the corporate office, consumer affairs, and the Better Business Bureau. In addition, I will be contacting corporate office of Cindy Crawford Furniture Collection because I am sure they will not want their name being associated with a company that is selling their product in damaged condition and treats their customers poorly and unfairly.

Rooms To Go has forgotten that without the consumer they have zero customers. The customer service is horrible. I purchased three pieces from Rooms To Go Kids in Mesquite Texas. One of the pieces was delivered damaged. Due to the damage to the right front leg, I noticed how unstable this extremely large peace was. The chest I purchased stands at about five feet. The chest stands on legs, which causes the peace to sway. This peace was for my small child's room that stands about two feet. I called customer service and voiced my concerns. Their customer service offered to replace the chest free of charge. I then voiced my concerns ounce again and asked if they could just replace the peace with a smaller alternative piece in the collection. I also offered to pay the difference in price. Their customer service informed me that I would have to repay a delivery charge to get the alternative piece. I then tried to explain to the customer service representative that if your company is planning to replace the damaged piece would not it make better since that you just bring the alternative piece rather than the dangerous chest. The customer service representative then said why would we was our time paying a delivery person to bring out the chest if you are going to replace it. I then said so why would I pay a separate delivery fee when you have to come out to bring the chest any way. The customer service representative then hung up in my face. I tried calling back to speak to a hire authority figure, but I was told that I had to follow the chain of command and that the person I was speaking to would determine if I could speak to a higher authority figure. The customer services as well as the store manager both refused to give me corporate numbers, regional management, or district manager numbers. The store manager was absolutely no help and very cocky. He tried to charge me more for the piece I wanted which was marked the same price as my original chest. This company has forgotten that if they lose their customers they lose their business. Rooms To Go has gotten Bigger than the Consumer. To end this I will never shop there again, nor will I advise anyone else to. This company and its unreasonable staff left me with accepting either the oversize piece and risking the safety of my daughter, or pay to replace the piece delivery fee plus the price-gouging attempt by the Mesquite manager. The furniture piece I have is unsafe for small children and it should be sold in the original Rooms To Go and not the kids division. Disgruntle Mom

I will never go in this store again,and forget about refering anyone for anything. I purchased a dinette set from them less than 90 days ago, one of the legs on the chair broke completely off the chair due to the bolts not being tighten properly, they sent out a service guy who informed me that they would have to order a new leg for the chair, then when they contacted me they informed me that they did not send out legs that I would have to purchase another chair. My response was are you kidding me, NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!

I purchase A full-size bed and box spring for my son room to up grade from a twin bed, so I seen there was a full-size on sale, took it home, no problem for a couple of nights, but a week later my son said Mom I feel as if somethings bitting me, so I took his sheets off , I see nothing, two more weeks later I see my son with really big bites on his back and the side of his face, so o call Bug Buster. People out and they said Mamm you have bed bug in this mattress , Did you buy it nee, I Said yes but off the showroom floor out of plastic as is,He said I hate to tell you either they have it in the store or whoever sat on the mattress while visiting the store brought them in the store, I was so upset but really upset when I called the store where I brought it from! The lady Name Sherily said they can't do nothing about it and she will call the head man name Denny from out of Atlanta

RTG continues to deliver furnture that is broken. I have had 2 sofas delivered in 2 weeks and now I am waiting ont he third. CS is nice, but they all stick together to support the no refund policy. I have received apologies but was basically told that I needed to pay more and MAYBE I would get a sofa that was not damaged. They do not care about satisifaction. This will be my last purchase. Having damaged furniture is something thatcould happen to anyone from any store at any price point, it is just upseting that they state they try to achieve customer satisfaction when the reality is they, as a coompany, could care less. Go buy from someone else.

There should be something less than zero rating for what I experienced. First off, I had to make sure the salesman understood my order correctly. I had a hard time understanding his accent and asked that he speak slowly for me to understand his "sales pitch". He became frustrated and talked all over me. We ended up going back and forth about the advertised sales price I saw online (the only reason I wanted the dining set in the first place). Once I sensed he was trying to take advantage of me, I told him I could go somewhere else. He then changed his attic and began to inform me of the additional (unnecessary fees) he could remove. When he did remove some furniture protective bottles from my order, he began, very sternly; to tell me how important it was to have. I stood my ground, and once he saw that I wasn't moved by any of his speeches, he wanted to inflict some good ole poor custom verbiage on me that went a little something like this, "okay, you're happy and I’m okay".....*blank stare* Are u really this serious?!...so then I had to wait a whole week and a half for delivery...once the delivery guys came, I saw the ottoman that was not the one I'd ordered. The delivery guys asked if I wanted it to stay, and I told them no and please get it out of my apt (it was so ugly)...Whn I called to voice my concerns, I was hit with a bunch of excuses and that I wouldn't be able to have my order today...I drove dwn to the store (2 miles) only to met with a very rude manager who also talked all over me while the other employees watched us like as if we were on display. The outcome was that I'd receive my money plus tax for the ottoman (no telling when)...This was soo frustrating in that I'd already had to wait for them to deliver, and when they did, it was the wrong piece of furniture....and on top of all that, I was made to feel as if I was being soo unreasonable about their unprofessionalism....Never again will I shop or recommend this kind of unprofessionalism to anyone.

Salemsan lied to me on when my furniture would be available in order to complete sale. New to the area don't know anyone and moved the day I was expecting my furniture. When it didnt show I had to sleep on floor for days causing me to be stressed and restless starting a new job. After complaining to the store manager and not getting any results I called corporate office where they kept telling me thats an issue you have to take up with your store. Obviously the store didn't handle the issue would be the reason I called corporate duh! Don't buy from rooms to go ever!!!

purchased bedroom suit and living room furniture in May of 2012. delivered living room furniture and night stands but bed rails were back-ordered due to this popular line of bedroom furniture. one night stand drawer didn't work, they replaced it with another night stand and one drawer didn't work which they then repaired. the rest of bedroom furniture was delived third week of july, rails were damaged and chest of drawers didn't work. next three weeks they brought three more chest of drawers, one issue after another and finally the last chest only had one drawer that was broken and they came and repaired. they also had to replace side rails.we wish we had our time back dealing with purchase from rtg. if we had known this furniture was manufactured in viet nam, we would have looked otherplaces.we will never go into rtg again and if anyone asks, will relay our ordeal!

ROOMS TO GO IS NOT WHERE YOU WANT TO GO BUT FURNITURE. WE BOUGHT A LIVING ROOM AND BEDROOM SET...THEY HAVE COME OUT 4 TIMES TO DELIVER AND ALL 4 TIMES THE FURNITURE HAS BEEN DAMAGED...ROOMS TO GO CORPORATE OFFICE SHOWED NO SYMPATHY NOR WILL TO COMPENSATE US IN A FAIR WAY FOR ALL THE TIME OFF WORK AND A 5TH VISIT TO SEND OUT A TECH WOODWORK GUY TO TOUCH UP AND PAINT THE new FURNITURE...CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THE WORST IN THE BUSINESS...THEY SIMPLY DO NOT CARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I purchased my couches from this place two years ago, they sales person offered a service to me that I decided to go ahead and get. Well two years later I called because my couch peeled right in the middle, dont know how it just peeled. So I called rooms to go customer service because what I was told was I would pay $300.00 dollars and this was the example I was given if my son grabbed a knife and ripped my couches they would come and look at them and if they could not fix it they would replace it. Well its 2 years later I call and they tell me that thats not what I paid for. That I paid for the stain resistant/ fabric cleaner! First off they are leather couches thats the reason why I got them so they wouldnt stain! I was lied to and I spoke to costumer service the manager Rachel was very rude she said that they would write up the sales person, but I asked how does that help me I was lied to and paid for a service I am not recieving so what about me. She said she just apologized she could not do anything and I told her I wanted my money back because they lied to me and she said she didnt lie to me so for me to take that up with the sales rep! That bitch just pissed me off and I dont like being played with, I will have to take this to small claims court because they basically stole my money, by lying to me! I had planned on going this year to buy my kids and I our new bedroom sets but not anymore, they will never get money from me again!

My story is the same as everyone's here. Paid 2k for a leather couch, 1.5 yrs later it's trashed. The leather is peeling off like a sunburn, the cushions are broken down, and the store told me forget about it. They really fooled me. I have to go buy another couch now and that sucks for me financially. They will never have my money again and I tell everyone I meet not to purchase from them. Usually, people look them up on the net then go running for the hills. It's up to the consumer to decide what businesses fail and which ones succeed. Get educated before you spend all your hard earned money,find an honest business to support.

I called back for the second time to speak to Mr Roy Anderson, who states he is the manager of Rooms To G0, 27923 State Rd 56, Wesley Chapel, Fl. 33544 (813)907-1463, I was told my a unknown employee that the manager Roy was busy unloading a truck and couldn't talk to me, but would call me back. I was never called back again! The manager unloading a truck when he to lazy to make a phone call! BS! ROOMS TO GO sell a low quality of furniture with terrible customer service and that is why they have to give these pay with no interest deals. I know my family will never deal with RTG again. I would rather buy furniture at a garage sale!!!

Peggy Would never EVER refer this place to anyone. My daughter and her fiance' just purchased furniture, I was there when it arrived...three peices were broken! Second delivery, lamp still broken...my daughter was late for work because they did not show up when she was told they would. Customer Service is absolutely horible, rude and just not concerned at all! What a shame. My advice is that tell everyone you know..DO NOT BUY FROM ROOMS TO GO!!!
