Worst experience ever

Will never buy from Rooms to Go again. Paid $2000 for a custom order that we waited over a month to recieve. When it at last arrived, a piece of the bed was missing, so it cannot be assembled, the mirror was the wrong color and two pieces were damaged. I am told that for the bed, and mirror I have to wait over another month and one of the damaged pieces will be replaced in 90 days. Aside from my entire order being mismanaged, the customer service people were rude and condescending and when I asked what they were going to do to make this huge debacle all better, they said there is nothing they can do. Since they have had my money since October and it is now Dec. 10th and I now have to wait until Jan 22, 2013 for them to get my furniture right, I asked them to take money off of my order for my inconvenience since now my daughter does not have furniture and will be that way over Christmas. They said their policy is to not consider compensation until all the furniture has been delivered -- at this point, I may just ask for my money back and they can take the damaged furniture and incomplete bed they left at my house. There will not be an opportunity for them to compensate me -- what a pain in the neck.

Do not ever buy from rooms to go!!!!!! Their customer service and online support is the absolute worst. We bought a $3000 living room set that we absolutely hate and we are supposed to pay $300 more in delivery charges if we want to switch it out because there was a defect in the original set. The only thing I'm told is there's nothing we can do for you and I get hung up on. The recliner doesn't even fit my seven-year-old.

Never Again

Never again will we ever purchase anything from Rooms To Go. Not only was our delivery delayed by 2 days the delivery men knocked one of our front porch pillars off of its foundation causing the roof to pull away from the house. Unfortunately we did not notice this unitl 2 days later when we left the house. We also had to have a technician come to the house to fix our media center and recliner. Whatever happened to quality first ? Very dissappointed in the whole process.

Customer Service

I will never walk into another rooms to go again. You all are inconsiderate about your customers and delivery. I was told that it will be an all day delivery, but they will give me a four hour window. I called on today and than they told me that it will be a five minute courtesy call, I told her someone had to go pick up my daughter from college and she said she understood that, but she didn't care, someone had to be home, I asked for someone else, than he told me that I will not have the 5 minute courtesy call. That is so inconsiderate, because with everything going on with jobs, we have to keep one to pay for the furniture. I honesty will never walk in rooms to go again. You should go to the University Store in Charlotte, and pretend to be a customer and see what kind of service you get..

Fraudulent charges

Two month ago we had purchased two bedrooms from Room to go store at the woodlands store in TX. Reviewing our purchases at the store, during our purchases we have noticed a $350 extra charges on our bills, When we asked about these charges, the sale told us that these extra charges represent the extended warranty for the two bedrooms; We told them that we do not want any extended warranty, after 15 minutes of sale pitch with the sale person; we told them we do not want an extended warranty for our products period. The sale person told us that she took the charges off from our bills. When we arrived home, we have notices that the charges were inserted on different pages of the bills. We called the store, we have been told, that the store had nothing to do with it, we called the warranty departments and we have been told the charges are credited, and until 90 days later from the sale; the charges had not been removed; we called many time and we are being told with different story every time we called. One of the Warranty supervisors called and tried to convince us to keep the extended warranty, we again said NO. We believe these charges are fraudulent and not being authorized at the store; we will pursue it legally and with the consumer protection agency; this is not about the money anymore, it is about the fraudulent practice at room To Go store.

I wish I would have read these before my purchase. I purchased a bed last week for my daughter. Her birthday is today and the bed is still not up. Apparently the "hardware" was not with the bed. I have been calling them since Thursday to get the bed up and all they have been telling me is what they think I want to hear. THEN I told them just come get the bed I don't want it. They told me I HAVE to keep the bed. They don't do any returns...WHY NOT SHE HASN'T SLEPT IN THE BED!!!!!!! NEVER EVER AGAIN!!!

living "room " nightmare

I bought a whole living room package plus tv from rooms to go. When you purchase a package like that they give you a best buy gift card to get yor tv. However you can not get your tv until exactly 5 days after the furniture is delivered. I would have had my furniture the week before the original date it was delivered but the lamps I wanted were out of stock. Instead of rooms to go having to make 2 deliveries (one being the furniture and the other being the lamps) I told them they could wait and bring it all at one time. I paid cash for everything I got and I still can't get my tv until exactly 5 days after the furniture delivery!! WTH!! Did I not pay for the Best Buy card in the deal also?? I mean they took the money out of my account ($2400) 2 days after I placed the order. So they got paid right off and Im still waiting for a card to be activated to get a tv that I have really already paid for!!!! I will NEVER do business with this company again!! Warning before you buy from them read ALL of the fine print and pray you don't EVER have to use customer service!!!!!

OMG.....We've been waiting all day for our sofas and end tables. I just read all these reviews and wish I had read them earlier! We paid extra for the leather conditioning to be applied. I called about getting delivery charge refunded, but said they couldn't do that. I am now praying our BIG purchase doesn't "wear out" in a year! UH OH....I hear the truck. It took them 6 1/2 hours! I will be inspecting it with a magnifying glass!!! Wish me luck! :(

This is the second time I have spent a good deal of money at your store only to have the idiots delivering the product break it. The worst part is they lie to you by saying they will make sure a repllacement part is sent out right away. First time I waited 4 months and finally did it myself. Now I have a matteress set with an adjustable head and foot to it only to have the idiots try to stretch the cord and the wires stripped out of the connector. They tell us they will make arrangements to have someone come out in 24 hours..........big lie. Now after many calls and several to the store manager in Greenville who does not return calls......customer service tells me they will have a tech come out but he cant make it for another 2 weeks. It is a stupid cord with a 3 prong connector......this isnt rocket science......I am done with your company.....I should not have to put up with this two times in a row. If I could I would have them come get this but they have already taken my old matteress away......

WE PURCHASED A LIVING ROOM SET FROM YOU STORE, WHEN IT ARRIVED THE COUCH WAS RIPPED ON THE LEATHER SIDE. MY WIFE WAS OCCUPIED WITH THE KIDS AND DID NOT CATCH IT. I CANT BELIEVE THAT THE DELIVERY DRIVERS DID NOT EVEN TELL HER THEY JUST LEFT IT. THE WRIP WAS SO BIG THAT YOU COULD NOT MISS IT. NOW WE HAVE TO WAIT DAYS TO GET ANOTHER COUCH. WE ARE A LONG TIME CUSTOMER OF YOURS AND SO IS MY FAMILY! WE JUST CANT BELIEVE THE TREATMENT OF YOUR PERSONELL; HOW UNPFORESSIONAL OF ROOMS TO GO! WE WERE GOING TO BUY MY SON A $2500 BEDROOM SET NEXT WEEK FROM ROOMS TO GO BUT AT THIS TIME I AM CERTAIN THAT WE DO NOT WANT TO BE A CUSTOMER OF ROOMS TO GO AND NEED TO LOOK FOR ANOTHER FURNITURE STORE! IT IS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL TO TREAT YOUR CUSTOMERS WITH SUCH DISRESPECT! THE DRIVERS SHOULD HAVE TOLD MY WIFE ABOUT THE DAMAGE AND NOT HAVE LEFT IT THERE!

i purchased love seat /sofa /dining set and china they were defected i am still waiting for the handle the chair is broken and the liar tech said he fixed it but never did they are cheaters and take advantage of people also they refused for me to speak with a manager via phone only want me to speak to there supervisor pat which is no help

In 2010 I purchased a RTG bonded leather sectional sofa. Approximatley a year later I first reported that the fabric was literally falling off the sofa. They told me I was "out of warranty and this was due to wear and tear." This does not happen to any sofa due to wear and tear. This is a defective product and RTG should be responsible for replacing the sofa or letting the customer exchange the sofa. RTG a company with horrible business ethics and products!!!

This was my first time ever shopping at rooms to go, and it will be my last. They n need to send every one that works for that company to school for common sense.

A couple of years ago I bought a sectional sofa for a few thousand and have recommended RTG to people also dropping many thousand. Point being I have been loyal. Yesterday the hand for opening the recliner ends up in my hand. I take a trip to our local RTG and I am told it is out of warranty and there is nothing we can do--period. Not here is a number to call, you know some PR work. I said you sure took more time with me when you wanted my money, thanks for nothing and left. When I got home I called RTG for my receipt and was told we not send anyone out unless you are under warranty and do not have anyone we can recommend. We can send you the cord for $35.00 which could take up to 90 days to receive. I was further told I would have to look in the yellow pages or on line to get somebody to fix the problem. Never again with RTG. It would have been so easy to kick me out of the store with a smile on my face. Just a little PR work goes along way. I read the previous reviews and was very surprised how many people have problems with RTG. It is time Corporate got involved. It all seems to be service and followup related.

I have been with trying to get an issue resolved with your Willowbrook store in Houston Texas for several months. We purchased a new living room, media room furniture with the 72" TV upgrade. First, the console delivered was for a 65" and was never exchanged after multiple attempts to get it corrected. Next, the couches which are a blend mix leather, already look like they are 5 years old, when in fact they are 4 months old. The repair man came out and told me and my wife that the couches were obviously defective and that customer service would be following up with us for replacements, however when we spoke to service, they advised that the tech said there was nothing wrong with the sofas. Then, the district manager was supposed to call us to discuss the situation, yet still no call. My husband and I recently visited the outlet store in Arlington, TX. We were looking for more dining room chairs to add to our kitchen and long the way we found a couple of more items to purchase. We have purchased many things from the outlet without incident. We are long time customers of Rooms to Go along with being credit card holders with the store. The sales person ignored my husbands questions and concerns. After being there for over an hour looking for the items we purchased we headed to the check out. Apparently the computers were down so a hand written invoice was needed. It happens computers go down. We were paying cash and we requested to review the invoice and after the sales person was hesitant on allowing us to review the invoice he did. That is when my husband noticed that we were being over charged for the items we were wanting. When we brought it to the attention of the salesman he became defensive and requested for us to leave the store. As we were walking out he stated "try to have a great day" and had the other staff laughing at us. I called to ask for the regional manager and we still have not received a call back. I would not recommend shopping at this store to anyone. I have closed my credit account as well.

I called your Frisco store to get pricing on a media room sofa - i was being told to get the sale price i HAVE TO buy fabric protection with cost another $130 - this is unfair and deceptive. i am very disappointed by your service and your business practises.

I have been a long time customer of Rooms To Go. I have never really had a problem until recently. I purchased a pillow top mattress for over thousand dollars with mattress protector and within 4 months it began to show depression in the center of the mattress. At the time of purchase, there was a Brandsmart promotion where NO discount was given on the value of the mattress but you received a gift card for a flat screen TV (value $300). I called warranty about the defective mattress and was told I could "reselect" on a mattress of same or less value. However, when my husband and I went back to the store they advised that the value of the promotion would be discounted from the mattress value if we chose a mattress outside the promotion. Which meant to us, we could not upgrade to a memory foam without taking a $300 hit in additional to paying an additional $1,000 out-of-pocket for a better brand. The manager argued that we wouldn't have to take an deductions if we simply replaced the mattress with the same brand or similar "quality". We were never informed at the time of purchase that by accepting the promo (for TV we really didn't need) that it would affect the warranty agreement in any way. Additionally, there is no disclosures on the RTG purchase receipt. I am going to write a letter to RTG Corporate expressing my feeling of being robbed of my right to redeem warranty for a defective item at FULL value. If a customer is "offered" a promotion than ALL details to be disclosed. If a promotion is "given" as a means to say thank you for bringing your dollars to RTG... then it should not affect the warranty agreement.

My girlfriend and I bought a mattress at Rooms to Go in April and within 3 months we noticed the center had sunk drastically. We called Rooms to go and they sent out a technician, as soon as he walked into our bedroom he noticed the hole without measuring. He measured the mattress and said customer service would contact us. A week later customer service called and said they were unable to help us because the mattress had sunk only one inch. We would have to call back in sixty days and another technician wold come out to evaluate our mattress. In the mean time our backs and hips are in pain and we can't get a good night's sleep because the mattress is sunk much more than their technician reported. We tried emailing customer service and their response was the bed is conforting to our bodies. If that's the case, it's only going to sink more. The mattress is defective, and RTG, won't stand behind a product they sold. I have purchased multiple times from RTG, but never more. I am starting a facebook page " Rooms to go sells defective products " I encourage everyone to join and post your pictures of the poor quality and service RTG give their customers. Let your voices be heard.

Sadly, there isnt a rating option of less than 1 star. I have made 2 purchases from RTG and both were complete nightmares. The first time they had to deliver a bed to me 3 different times because It didnt have all the pieces. They delivered me the same part 3 time instead of the part I needed. The second time I ordered from them, They anceled my delivery because I didnt confirm the delivery. They NEVER asked me to call back to confirm. All the voicemail said was they were calling to confirm the delivery.When I took another day off to be home for the second scheduled delivery, the 2 dresserss I bought were damaged. They offered to replace them and was told I would get a call to have that scheduled. I NEVER got a call from them and had to do it myself. The management that runs this company just doesnt care if they give good servive or not. I will NEVER buy from them again!!!!!!!!!!!!!
