Scam Business
As a first time customer with Rooms to Go, I took out a line of credit with them and purchased a sectional sofa to be paid off over time with no interest. At the time I thought this was a great deal, however it seemed that every invoice I received there was some time of fee associated with it. The reasons were that they received the payment a day late (the payment was due on a Saturday and they got it on a Monday); or it was $5 short what was being charged. This I strongly disagree with because I paid the payment that was stated on the invoice. In a nutshell, this company gets you in with what appears to be a great deal and then hits you will all kinds of ridiculous fees. I'm paying the balance in full, cutting up my credit card with them and will never shop with them again. Not that they care as clearly expressed by their customer service agent.
Terrible
Today family and I walk into the store on I-10 in San Antonio with cash in pocket ready to buy. Everyone working there was rude and acted if they were to good to sale furniture. Well we walked out with cash still in pocket. Went to a furniture store down the road and spent 6500.00. Guess rooms to go, is soon to be gone. Terrible service. They must like standing around. Bet they get paid hourly. Easy to collect a check, standing around and being rude.
Pillows suck!
I went to the Showroom in Katy and the store had some foam pillows on sale, which they had on the floor sample beds. THE PILLOWS smell like fumes form a refinery... needless to say we bouth "as is " and they would not exchange of give our money back. WE spent $106.00 which were basicly put in the trash.
Rating
Corporate needs to wake up and open their eyes. Look at all the ratings about your customer service department. Something needs to be and should be done about it before you lose all your customers.
Highway trash
May 18, 2013, at 2:05 in the afternoon while following a Rooms to Go truck(trailer number 342) southbound on I-95 in Brevard County Florida, I witnessed the driver throwing water bottles and other trash out of his window. Kind of reflects on the rest of the company now doesn't it?
THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT - THEY DO NOT ADMIT TO GROSS NEGLIGENCE OR MISTAKES
Purchased a bedroom set a year ago. Wanted to convert to electric bed - "no problem" they said. Sold me the necessary mattress and equipment -- but it did not fit. They said it was "impossible" to not fit -- even though their own delivery people recognized the fact. When I called, they had the chutzpaha nd nerve to say they were not responsible for knowing what bed I had -- even though I bought it from them one year ago and brought pictures to be "sure" everything would worki
Rooms TO Go Sucks. They just don't care
They act like they are so concern with you, I spent over $2,700 in cash with them. I had a problem with my living room set, I called them, everyone I talked to gave me the same sad story. The loveseat only comes with one matching pillow to match the set. Why would you sell a set like that. Every loveseat I see comes with two matching pillows.
Rooms To Go is just out the make a sale and not pleasing their customers
I purchase a living sets last month and when I received my sets the loveseat was missing a pillow to match the seats, they claimed only one matching pillow comes with the seat. I have never seen a loveseat comes with only one matching pillow. Instead they gave me over throw back pillows that do not match the set.
tv ad
Just saw an ad for Rooms To Go with two women sitting close together on a couch blabbing away like a married couple. If this is a promotion of same-sex marriage I will not buy form Rooms To Go. Do a new ad and I might chance my mind.
We bought a mattress from Rooms to Go 90 days ago..We were told that if we didn't like the mattress we could return it up to a year for $100.00. We went back two days after purchasing the mattress. Our sales clerk told us to give it 90 days...We went back to the store and they told us to call customer service because they would have to come out and look at the mattress to insure there were no defects and then as soon as they got their report we could come back to pick out another one...Only to be told they would not exchange it...now its on with Corporate....don't buy into what they tell you...make them put it in writing....we trusted them but never again...we talked to the manager and he was very rude..We brought up that they avertise "Satisfaction Guarateed", He told us that he didn't have anything to do with the logo that Corporate would have to handle it...so we shall see..
what a disgrace of a company
I ordered 4 pub chairs and a bedroom set. Three times the pieces came in damaged. Customer service is horrible and the store manager in Myrtle Beach said he was going to have someone contact me and they never did. I am now contacting the Better Business Bureau also the supervisor in customer service did not even want to talk to me. Also the delivery guys just don't care on how they handle the furniture and I don't know how they stay in business. I WILL NEVER DEAL WITH THEM AGAIN!
Terrible policy for No Returns
I will never shop at Rooms to Go again. I bought a recliner for my elderly parents and it just did not fit in their apt. I was NOT told that I could NOT return the chair and it was delivered to their apt with no one there to check it out. I called the service number who told me that furniture was Not returnable and I needed to contact the manager of the store to see what she could do for me-Nothing
Rember me ? Disappointed from Nov 30, 2012. Finally got my porch fixed cost me $450.00 hey RTG are you going to knock this off my bill since your men did it ? You all should be ashamed. I would rather shop at Goodwill than RTG. How you have stayed in business is beyond me. As far as the 1 star rating that is entirely too much for this company.
NEVER AGAIN
My experience with rooms to go has been horrendous from beginning to end. Once the spider (RTG) has wooed you into their web prepared to get eaten. The sales expreience was great but even in the end our salesman Allan turned out to be of no help. Customer service is the worst. I have never met so many rude people except for a customer service manager Greg who helped me get my problem corrected. I had received the run around so much that I actually used profanity and told the customer service rep that I was so tired of their attitude. Never in my life have I done this. It is almost like you owe them and forget anyone calling you back. Delivery was not on time and there is no flexibility within this organization. Think twice before you buy from this company. Going to send a letter to the corporate office in Tampa to offer some constructive criticism.
Return policy
Rooms to Go is has the worst customer service ever. They are rude and dishonest. We purchased a sofa and two chairs for our game room the chairs did not fit the room and wanted to return it however after you receive the furniture they will not take it back. After my husband signed the credit slip they hand you the receipt and you need to read the small print there is no mention of by the sales force or their web site. Oh the sofa that did fit in our game room is a upgraded sleeper sofa, and it is not different from the cheaper one in the show room. Junk!
Deliver miss up
I order a sofa sleeper from rooms to go in Dallas, TX...On delivery day 1 they walked in with the wrong sofa sleeper. And 2 1/2 weeks later once again they deliver the wrong the wrong sofa sleeper again.. I talked to my sale person Mary about problem ; which she did nothing so i spoke to 2 different Manager who also said that it was out of their hands and their was nothing they could.am looking for my deposit of $200 I'm hopping they come by and pick up the sofa I did it order,...
Service Tech hours
You only have one day (Wednesday) the middle of the week when your tech come out for service. You gave me a time of 11 am to 3 pm (the middle of the day). You are NOT flexible at all. You talk people into buying the protection plan on your merchandise, but then we can't use them because your one day a week is not good. Some of us have jobs that don't allow for getting off like that. I think you are doing your REPEAT customers a disservice by not working with them on a day that is more suitable.
worst customer service
I ordered a bedroom set for my son who had to quickly move to Florida, I live in PA so it was all done online and over the phone. They offered a quick delivery but it was from 7AM to 10 PM with no advanced call ahead. First of all, who has 15 hours to sit around with no advanced notice? Secondly, they were rude when I asked if they could help me out and put my son's delivery in for after 9 AM since he wouldn't be able to get the key until 9. They couldn't do that and I couldn't reschedule for 48 hours. In addition, the verification of credit card info is a process too, not only did I have to get an approval code but I also had to put my son's new address on the AMEX bill. They threatened to cancel my deliver if I didn't call them in 20 minutes. I have to say, my son needs a lot more stuff, but they just lost a big sale because I would fly down there and shop in person before using them again.
favorable
We recently had the pleasure of dealing with sales associate Terry Mullins in your Macon Ga. store again, Terry is very professional, knowledgeable and accommodating. We also like the fact that Rooms to go stands behind their products and aims to please their customers, we have purchased furniture and bedding in this store and would not hesitate to do so in future. Johanna and Henry Sochacki
I have been paying on a bedroom suit that RTG discontinued and they have failed to issue a refund and they did not have a set that I would like instead. The customer service was piss poor and I am an unhappy customer. I will go out of my way to make sure that everyone I know does not suffer the poor service that I had to endure and to not conduct business with them.
