The reason of my message is due to poor customer service. For many years, I have been ordering Papa John's Pizza because it's simply done the way I love. All of the ingredients are measured precise. On March 19th, 2012, it was my son's pizza party at his school. I called that day at 10:30am to place an order of 6 pizzas (Cheese/ Pepperoni)to be ready by noon (just in case there was any delay). I get there at 12:20 to pick up my order. The cashier acknowledges with eye contact me because he was taking an order thru the phone. He assists me and looks for my order. He then picks up the phone and calls someone. Once that person doesnt answer he tells me the situation " Unfortunately, the driver took your order by mistake" he keeps calling him but no answer. My husband and I were pissed. There were 32 children waiting for us. We were super disappointed. It has been 4 months after that incident starting today. I went (#1806) and order (#0193) at 9:52 1 Mount. Dew and 1 pizza half pep & cheese for my two boys and myself. The young lady who assist me was nice. My order was ready in 20 minutes. My issue was that the soda didnt have any gas. You can taste the syrup, so I check the date. The date I first notice was on the ring of the cap which prints 7/3/12. I go back to exchange for a new one. The nice girl was trying to help me but the cashier at the computer look at the bottle and went to address the issue to a guy (around his 30's). I can see their (the 2nd girl with the guy) body language and read their words "oh she cant do that" He comes to me and said " what seems to be the problem?" My respond: The soda is expired. Around the cap, it say 7/03/12. He said: it's not. He point the imprint in the side of the bottle AUGUST 13 2012. My respond: Look I notice this date (07/03/12) but not the other. It may be my fault but I saw your body language and read what you both were saying. I dont appreciated. He said: Ma' you are wrong. Who gives any of your employees the right to speak unprofessional to customer!?! At my job, we have this posted for all employee to remember " There is only one boss. The Customer. As a business in Ft. Worth, Tx, we have been ordering Papa Johns pizza for our employees twice a month. The Bedford store is the one we always order from and have been for the past 1 1/2 years. Suddenly today, I call to order our pizza and was told by the new manager that they will no longer deliver to my business. She referred me to the Hurst location and said they should deliver to me. I call Hurst location and he says the Bedford location should be delivering to me. So, within our radius on the map two locations say the other should be delivering to me, although Bedford is the one thats been delivering for the past year. I said, "so basically, you're going to lose a customer because no one will claim my delivery address?" I asked for the district operation manager numbers for both stores and have called and left messages for both of them. So far, I haven't heard back. I am disgusted the complete lack of customer retention and customer service both locations displayed today. And to have district managers that don't care either???? Great job Papa Johns......way to piss people off! I will be sharing this story ALL OVER THE INTERNET today. Don't waste your time with these people.....especially if you have a hungry staff expecting food.

I was at the Harley Drags in Bowling Green KY this weekend and was shocked that Papa Johns refused to deliver to the site. Domino's Pizza however did deliver! Me and all my Harley friends will no long be ordering Papa Johns pizza. We are outraged that you refused to serve us!!!!! We are a very large group of American's and word will pass through our group as fast as your delivery!!!

One of your drivers, Lesile Crissman, delevery 2 large pizzas to my address. She ran over my dog and left in a hurry. I am filing a complaimt with your company because I fell that since she worked for your company and carry the PapJohn's logo, Some is responsible for me having to take mt dog to the Vet. What turned be $30 dollars is going to cost us about $100 and he is going to have to be put to sleep. She ran over is back. My son called and talk to guy on duty and her. She does not know how to talk to a customer. She would not let my son get a word in. --ease have on of your executives contact me. I have been eating papa johns pizza for years. I moved to the Tallahasse, Fl area and ordered online at one of their locations on apalachee pkwy. I made the mistake and selected cash online. I called the store and asked if I could pay with my debit card. They said yes but had to start the order over. It came close to $2 more. Confused, I asked why and they said they can not do the promos online can do. Well I told him not to worry I would pay cash anyways on the original total. Without acknowledgement I was hung up on, I just figured he understood and the order was going through. Instead I waited two hours to realize my pizza wasnt coming. Highly upset for the derespect I was given over the phone. And dont quite understand why stores particpate in the online ordering if they can not offer the same deals. Needless to say we went with Pizza Hut that night. I dont think I will order from there again.

My daughter recently got hired by a company to deliver Papa Johns pizza. Doesn't Papa Johns hire their own drivers? Everything was not explained to her until the day she showed up for work. She was told that she is an independant contractor, she gets paid $3.00 per delivery,the company will take $1.00 of her tips-which is illegal- She was also told that when there was no deliveries,it will help them if they would go in the back and help clean or something. They also had to put the garlic sauce and that little pepper in the box. They also had to get the soda or anything else that the customer ordered. They were told that they can claim mileage at the end of the year when they did their taxes.I think that this is slavery,and Papa Johns is encouraging and taking part in this immoral act. I hate when big companies take advantage of kids or adults for that matter ,who are just trying to survive. Her first day was a "training" day which she is not going to get paid for!!!.Something needs to be done to stop this practice.

ITS AMAZING THE SIGHTS YOU SEE IN A WORK PLACE IM FROM NEW JERSEY. I WENT TO THE PENNSAUKEN TOWNSHIP PAPA JOHNS ON SOUTH CRESCENT BLVD .. THE SIGHT I SEEN WAS UNBELIEVABLE THE MANAGER JESSY HAD HIS CHILD IN HIS ARMS NEXT TO THE OVEN THROWING HER IN THE AIR. I WOULD CALL THAT CHILD ENDANGERMENT.. AND I DIDN'T KNOW THAT PAPA JOHN STARTED A PERSONAL DAYCARE. WHY WOULD THERE BE CHILDREN PRESENT IN A WORK PLACE SUCH AS THAT ONE. THAT SHOP IS RAN LIKE A ZOO WOULDN'T RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE... I HEAR {BETTER INGREDIENTS BETTER PIZZA}. PAPA JOHN ...NO MORE LIKE BETTER MANAGEMENT BETTER WORK ENVIRONMENT.. I was fired because i caught our manager shaving hours off seversl employees. DO SAID IT WAS A ONE TIME THING. Caught her doing again and fired me for a stupid reason. Trying to find a lawyer to sue them.

My husband and I would go to PaPa John's once a week, and get a pepperoni thin and crispy pizza. I would say we went there at least 50 times. Well we quit going because of the customer service was so poor, they never could get the order right on the phone. We had to repeat our order so many times we became irate. But we still 'thought' they got the order and we would go and pick up the pizza. Out of the 50 times 30 of them the order was wrong. Either we checked it there and they would make a new one (no reimbursement for waiting) or if we didn't check it out we got home and open it and there it was, a pizza that we did not order. So we quit going there because the hassle and the irritation was just not worth it. But we decided to try it again, and here is the story. On June 10, 2012 at 7:30 P.M. I went to pick up my large, thin and crispy, pepperoni, ham, and pork sausage pizza. I did not check the pizza. Got home to watch the University of South Carolina Baseball game. Opened the box and they gave me a thick and chewy pizza. It did have the toppings I asked for...but there was no sauce on it, only the toppings and cheese. No I did not call them because they were so busy when I went there and I wanted to watch the game. My husband and I couldn't believe what horrible tasting pizza this was. We threw it away. We use to come to your place many times but for about 1 year we quit because of the service, and many times they never gave me the pizza I want. So we decided to try it again. Again we received poor service on the phone, not the right pizza...so now we have decided that PaPa John's is off of our list again Their service, their customer service, and their pizzas are terrible. We always confirm our order on the phone, they will repeat it, but when we get there it is not right. So to come home and find a thick and chewy (which we don't like) and no sauce just put the icing on the cake. We are through with PaPa John's.

I ordered two large pizzas,one thin crust pepperoni and the second order, in addition to pepperoni, I added cheese,and mushrooms. The sauce was hot and spicy and tasted like hot sauce. I called the store on Flakes Mills road was given a number 1(877) 547-7272) to corporate office to follow-up with a compliant. Additionally, my husband complained his pizza was hot and spicy, too. The worker that took the compliant informed me that I could expect to hear from someone within the next five days. Sadly, I threw the pizzas in the garbage feeling "what a waste of money". My days of eating pizza is coming to a sorrowful close. Decatur.

CALLED IN FOR PIZZA AT 10:40PM PUT ME ON HOLD TILL 11:03 PHONE GOT CUT OFF, CALLED BACK AND THEY SAID WE ARE CLOSED? MANGER WILL NOT DO NOTHING.. WE OWN FEW HOTELS AND ADVERTISE FOR THEM AND WE WILL NOT DO THAT AGAIN, DOMINOS IS THE WAY TO GO!! VERY VERY VERY POOR SERVICE DO NOT SHOP WITH THEM!!!

my brother placed an order last night at 10:40 and they made him hold on the line till like 11:03 and then the phone just hung up he called them back and they told him they are closed? what kind of service is this... he owns a few hotels in our area and he will make sure papa johns is never recommended to his customers. they will not get our orders... way to go...

Poor customer service. The store I ordered from was fine. but then a few days later I get another charfe on my bank acct for papa johns.. I called and the manager didn't even ni gift kniw what to do. So he said call back later and speak to another guy. So I did apparthem ently he could do so i have to wait till tomorrow. Yeah right. To speak to the gmt. anything cause it was busti understand that. And he was like oh theres only one thing on this end. Well i told him he needec to call my bank nd speak to them. .

order pizza from the local papa johns for the end of the year party on to discover a bug baked inside the cheese with the sauce and meat when I called to the location to inform them of the information the manger and supervosir was very rude telling me it was impossible for a bug to be inside of the pizza and it's nothing the could do not even refund the money after ordering over 8 boxes of pizza

I stopped "hoping" my pizza would show up hot and with all of the toppings I had ordered. Every time I've ordered from Papa Johns the pizza was cold, the toppings were barely there if there at all. I thought it was just me, but after reading the reviews, obviously they're in need of a serious makeover. When I emailed to complain I was told the manager would contact me, I never heard from him. This is in regards to the Maple Valley WA location. Being as there are many bad reviews and they're still selling bad pizza I take it this review will go nowhere. Its too bad Papa John, you sure are putting a lot of money into marketing but what good will that do when all the customers get is bad pizza?

I am a CURRENT employee at 1360 The Alameda Papa John's Pizza....Have been working as a delivery driver, pizza maker/food prepper at this location for the last three years...I can HONESTLY say that this restaraunt is without a doubt, the most UNSANITARY, mismanaged, restaraunt chain i've ever worked for...First off, the food is USUALLY outdated/rotten, i.e., the slimy green peppers, the slimy mushrooms, the rotten tomatoes that feel on touch like grabbing octopus guts, the old cheese which is used daily, (all of which have been reported to the County of Santa Clara Health Department numerous times). Not to mention the HUGE COCKROACHES that myself and other employees have killed INSIDE the walk-in freezer where most of the food is stored....Oh, and did I forget to mention that the managers in the store, i.e. Brian with the tattoos, is consistently on drugs like heroin..? Or that the main general manager for both the Alameda location and the Saratoga location are former INMATES from PRISON? So I suppose that if you enjoy eating second rate pizzas, which contain at least one or two food borne illnesses, and also enjoy unprofessional, carefree service, then the Papa John's at 1360 The Alameda (next to HP Pavilion in downtown San Jose), and The Papa John's in Saratoga are the place for you. Make sure that if you talk to Paul, or Alfred (the Prison inmate managers) that you ask about these things, and if they've been resolved through the County Health Inspector office, otherwise, you and your family will be GREATLY at RISK of becoming sick from the food served there. Out in California, Papa John's in THE place for pizza. However, on the East Coast, we've dealt with more than our fair share of unprofessional staff, including managers and drivers. I discovered that it's because some location are corporate and some are franchises. If it's possible for you to find a corporate location near you, I suggest sticking with them. These franchise places do not know how to do things the Papa John's way. So, while we're here, Pizza Hut it is.
