Outstanding Customer Service
On 12-17-12 in the evening me and my fiance met with my parents to talk over wedding plans at the Johnston IA Panera. We ordered our food and a part of the order was missed. After reordering we where offered a few free bagels and the staff was very apologetic. Thinking that was more then enough we then were visited by the manager, who dropped of the forgotten order and to make sure we were doing great. Later in the evening we realized the restaurant had emptied and we had stayed an hour past closing. We were not bothered or rushed and on the way out were told to have a great evening with a smile. Very rare and truly outstanding customer service! From all of us Thank you for a great evening!!!!!!
Where's the Yogurt?
Went into our neighborhood Paneras today with my friend and ordered coffee and as always I get yogurt Well what a shock when she handed me the yogurt it was less than 1/2 full. My friend and I just laughed and commented someone didn't finish filling the cup Even a Panera employee walked by and started laughing about the oversight. WELL to our surprise this is all you get now in your yogurts! We both said What???. I buy these all the time and this is not filled correctly. The employee remarked back...I know, we were ver filling them and now we weigh them and they are by weight now. Well you can have your 2 tablespoons of yogurt. A total Rip Off! I'm sure my instant gram will get around . You guys at Corporate really messed up on this one You should be embarrassed at this product now
Horrible service and food
Very dissapointed, all of our soups were cold, the cheese in the grilled cheese sandwich was not eatable, bread was toasted so hard it was like a dogs bone. Failed to bring us the smoothie we ordered, and worst of all, upon trying to discuss our concerns with the manager, was like talking to a fire plug, didn't seem very brite nor did he care whatsoever. We will never go there again !!!!!!!
Panera Bread in Kenosha Wi has many good and thoughtful employees. However the man that seemed to be supervising them was totally out of line with the female employees and customers. I like the food, but will not visit that particular store again.
Praise #1161, Peter
Peter at #1161, Augusta Street, Greenville, SC, went above and beyond to help me get a meal to my daughter and family in Greenville, SC. My daughter is ill. I live in Columbia, SC. I wanted to help her feel better. Peter was so very helpful!
I have made my last visit to Panera Bread! Today (Sunday) I walked in the store at 3770 28th Street, Kentwood, MI. after church to purchase a loaf of bread and some pumpkin spice muffins--and perhaps a cake. I dutifully went to the side marked 'bakery' and waited and waited and waited. No one was waiting on that section. The girl making drinks asked me if she could help me--I told her I wanted a loaf of bread. She walked away into the kitchen. When she returned I asked her if anyone was waiting on the bakery. She said she made the drinks--if I wanted something I could go to the other line. I told her to forget it and walked out. There are many other sites here in Grand Rapids where I can get quality foods--at lower prices. No more Panera!
I just left the Panera Bread on Park Lane in Dallas.. The manager Carlos started screaming at me, ( an unsatisfied customer) and yelling at the top of his voice in front of all his employees and customers eating!!! Great Management Skills !! Carlos needs to go on the other side of town.....That is not going to fly in this neighborhood ........he will probably go home and beat his wife after " supper". What trash!!!!!.
After reading the negative comments re Panera stores around the country, may I indulge in a positive review. Read about the poor service, rude associates, burnt food, on and on. Not so at the Uniontown, Pennsylvania Panera. Never encountered "rude" associates, "burnt" food, nor "managers" who refused to accomodate consumer. My patronage of the Panera Uniontown franchise over a dozen years has been a positive experience. The manager is responsible for the training of the associates. Uniontown managers have done their job: trained associates to be knowledgeable about menu items, greeting regular customers by their first names, even remembering the orders of the regular customers before customer opens his or her mouth. Interior of Uniontown store has always been clean, despite the customers who scatter food to the floors or chairs. Exterior landscaping is soothing to the customers and just a place to sit, relax and watch the world go by. No. I do not work for Panera Bread, never had relatives or friends work for the organization, nor am I receiving any compensation(free coffee) for this positive review. However, I do have one question for corporate: why are the winners/stores of the monthly drawings never posted online or in the stores? RELEASING JUST THE NAME OF THE PANERA STORE WOULD NOT VIOLATE THE PRIVACY ACT. PLEASE RESPOND.
Whats with this place
I can't believe every thing you eat is frozen food. The only thing that is not frozen is the salad vegetables I've gone to work six days now and have been sent home early 4 times due to them trying to balance the hours. The place being a bread place dose not have one bag of flour in the whole place. They make nothing all the breads soups meats come in frozen. The baker is more of a break and bake guy. They call caramelized onions but are realy red onions in balsamic vinegar..
Love Panera Bread. Have been in many locations and granted some are better then others none has been unbearable. Good food.
Been going to the Millbury MA location several times now,and every time the service gets worce and worce.Today took the cake, ordered my food and waited 18 min and left they better get better help??????????
http://bctgm.org/2012/09/panera-bread-continues-to-violate-federal-laws-after-settling-34-unfair-labor-practice-charges/ This franchise owner was applauded by Ron Shaich, founder of Panera Bread, earlier this year for doing an outstanding job as a Panera franchise owner. Violating federal labor laws is an outstanding way to run a franchise?
Panera Corporation should control the physical abuse of co-workers at franchise locations. HDQ controls every other aspect of the baking process, but allows its franchise partners to retain and promote employees who verbally abuse and physically threaten co-worker(s). HDQ is well aware of the situation(s) and continue to allow its franchise management team(s) to encourage such behavior. Remember this when eating at a Panera's. Enjoy your meal, it represents the actual blood, sweat, and tears of Panera's employees.
I was an employee for five years. i havent worked there for 8 or 9 months. I am a christian and try very hard to dicerne between venance and moral obligation. There were two managers at the college hill location who are not ok. One is a racist and has severe rage problems that make her very abusive and the other had no real life work experience and was sexually harrasing all the young pretty girls who worked there. I believe strange things were written about me by them. I did quit but i did not want to.
STROUDSBURG PANERA RESTAURANT WITH ARMED CUSTOMERS....If you like being in a place with armed men showing off their weapons down the legs of their trousers then this is the place for you. BEWARE. This guy in the Stroudbsurg Panera restaurant wears a gun on one leg and a leather strapped holster on the other with cartridges and silencers as well as other gun fashion accessories. Then he approached us as we sat there eating and said doesnt the cloud formation over the interstate look like an oil spill? This is NUTS and if he is licensed no one unless they are showing off or crazy straps this sort of thing to his legs and goes out in public. If in Afghanistan that is different. This is a hick town and right opposite a military recruitment office which he clearly has nothing to do with. When questioning the manager Shawn he said the customer is new to them for only the past few weeks. His name is john and he drives a 4 door car. That is all they know about him. They just lost daily customers for lunch. NEVER AGAIN. It terrifies me just thinking about it. No one does this unless they have other issues and the verbal rubbish as well...no thanks...Dont recommend you go in there as they have no clue who he is or what he does or why he must carry guns and ammo on his legs NOT concealed.
What would you think? Yesterday I met some friends at the Panera Bread store on Hamilton Rd., in Gahanna, Ohio. I treated them to diner and I had a drink. I spent about $25.00. After our meeting, I ordered dinner for my family. I spent a little over $30.00. When I got home, we ate. My wife started in on her salad. After she finished, she turned to her sandwich which she loves. It was burnt on the bottom! I called, and the associate said I could get another sandwich for tomorrow. I told her it was supposed to be my wife's dinner. She put me on hold to talk to her manager. They reluctanntly said come by and they'll have another sandwich made for me. When I got there and they opened the door to hand me the bag, the associate said," Just so you know, we don't open the doors after we close." There was no "Sorry for your inconvience" or "Sorry for burning the first sandwich." There was no appreciation for what my experiennce was in their store. I felt like they didn't care. They just wanted to lock the doors, clean up, get the rest of the customers out, and go home. It look like I'll be meeting at Starbuck ad going across the street to LoneStar for dinner! They have a two for one deal... a real meal! natsigletary@hotmail.com
I love the food Panera offers, but the service and accuracy of orders has always disappointed me. Panera is not cheap so it is truely a treat but always seems to be joined with a wrong order. We either get the wrong soup with our salad, onions when we said no onions, wrong salad and today the straw that broke the camels back is the wrong dressing that totally changed the taste of my Thai Chicken salad. How difficult is it to give me the right dressing? This was a to go order so I am hope and can't go back since I have back to back meetings. This quality of service for the price is horrible! And when I call the store, no one is ever apologetic, they just simply say, come back and we will give you the right order....hello!!! Do they know that gas is expensive? That people have to return to work? That they have appointments that can't wait because the Panera employee doesn't care? I really don't want to stop going to Panera, but this is just so frustrating that I need to go find another favorite soup and salad.
I would use no stars if possible! My church applied for Panera's end of day dough-nations...back in April. I was told by a Panera that the approval process takes UP TO Six WEEKS...it has been FIVE MONTHS!!!!! No one at the corp office will respond to voicemail messages or emails. This was for a local church in Chicago, the dough-nations was supposed to be used for low income families that attends church weekly. Thank you for your support Panera!!!
I recently bought a 50.00 gift card for my brother I live in Virginia He lives in California He had the receipt and the card which are supposed to have matching numbers. When he used the card they would only honor 25.00 .Paneras would do nothing So someone in Paneras Richmond Virginia got 25.00 in cash and my brother got half of what I paid for. Paneras expects me to jump through hoops to track this down , myself..It was months ago now BEWARE
Recognizing that it is most likely a corporate decision, I recently learned (at the Clarksville, TN, new, smallest-Panera-I've-ever-been-in - in several different states), that Panera will not accept checks from community residents. This is not a very positive way to encourage repeat business from local residents. In trying to speak with the Day Manager, so that my comments could be conveyed to corporate, she turned her back on me and walked away. Really. As a retail employee I learned long ago that this is not the way to treat any customer.
