ATTENTION; My husband bought me a 2005 Nissan Altima in November of 2004. Last week, without any indication the transmission needed to be replaced. I am waiting to see if the Corporation is willing to be fair and honest. We lost over $2,000+ because my husband bought me a new 2012 Sentra Special Edition. The trade in was far below what it should have been, considering there was only 82,000+ miles in almost 8 yrs. After the chaos we come to find out a Class Action Suit is in existance. Has anyone had to deal with these tranmission problems????

Hi i purchased a Mazda cx7 from Nissan in springfield nj..I gave them cash and a trade,I purchased the vehicle in Oct 2011,in May white smoke started coming from the tailpipe i took it to Nissan they told me I needed a oil change and the car was fine,It started smoking again in June I took it back to Nissan they told me it was the engine and i had to take it to Mazda it was covered on the warranty..Mazda refused to fix it,because it was wear and tear from the previous ownwer and Nissan should have never sold me the car like that. They gave me a loaner for 2weeks.they haven't tried to give me another vehicle or my money back and I have to continue to pay for a car i am not driving..they act like it was not there problem and brushed me off..they were very rude,I am struggling trying to find transportation!!They threatend if I didn't give them the loaner they would come to my work place and embarrass me and repossess the car.

I have an 05 frontier with 37,000 miles. I take good care of truck, change oil regularly, with the highest quality oil at that, and also service regularly. I clean her frequently. rotate tires every ten thousand miles. this past year a rattle had started get louder. took her to nearest nissan sevice center, by the way I have been dealing with for 30yrs, bought five cars from this dealer. they tried and replaced serpentine pulley once. that seemed to work, now they tell me that it's the timing chain and will cost $1600. so I brought truck in to repair. picked up truck and still had same problem. A service manager rode with me to hear problem, but he kept closing his window so as to not mess his hair up and could not hear rattle. finally they brought in a service tech and he seemed to not know what was the problem, until one of the mechanics said he might know what's problem. after five minutes he came out with small pieces of metal. these pieces had come off of exhaust clamp by exhaust shielding. viola, the noise was gone. Nissan had put me through the ringer with this misdiagnoses. I believe the owe me refund for a timing chain that was not the problem in the first place. Sevice manager says no refund will happen. and was snotty about it. I am disabled and can't afford these kinds of mistakes. How do I get money back?

I'm extremely frustrated and angry. I just purchased an 08 Versa a little over two months ago. Last week my teansmission started having , including completly stalling on a hill. I took my car to the Nissandealer by my house ( the Nissan dealer I purched from is an hour away). I was told that the transmission not only had been over filled, but was the wrong type of fluid... Ummm, interesting note, the used car check that was done said the fluid was normal. So, either it was not checked, or whoever checked lied. Thats consumer fraud and a deveptive business practice. The dealer by my house said with the damage that has been done a new transmission is the only way to fix the issue. My car was the shipped to the Nissan dealer where I purchased my vehicle. I was toldby this dealership that they were just going to refill my fluid to a normal level with the correct fluid and it should be just fine. They do not want to take any responsibility for dropping the ball... Or just not doing their job. I wikl never buy Nissan again.

I purchased a 2001 Dakota used and as-is. I know that as-is I have no room for arguments, but the shackles on the rear leaf springs were rusted thru and in my eyes that is considered unsafe to drive and should have been seen on the pre-delivery inspection. When I replaced them, one broke in my hand before I could get it off. I have been driving my family around in that truck! Heaven forbid it giveway on the highway. I spoke with the owner of the dealer and he told me "I'm not going to do anything to help you, thank you for your purchase". And then he hung up on me. Now no one will talk to me from the dealership. I thought "Five Star Nissan" was there for you before, during, and after the sell to, lets see how they put it, "Five Star is committed to meeting and exceeding your expectations. We look forward to demonstrating our commitment to excellence!". looks like they fell short on that one!!

I bought a 2003 nissan frontier at Paducah nissan . The truck has been very reliable with the exception of excessive front brake wear and most recently the drivers side seatbelt has locked up which brings me to this post. The men in the service department at Paducah tried to get the part , but nissan says it is on national back order and this was last week. I checked moments ago and the part has not changed status . I am not sure if hiring an attorney is necessary to get this issue resolved, since it is a state law in Ky that you wear a seat belt . One thing is certain, if I get a traffic citation for not having a seat belt I WILL sue nissan to recover my losses, plus punitive damages for mental stress and worry . nissan needs to man up and do the right thing which is have parts warehoused to speed up the process of replacing warranted parts which they are liable for . Again, Paducah nissan has done everything they can to help , but the corporate level has been unsatisfactory to say the least !

Really? Nissan put Ford Transmissions in a Nissan Quest? Transmissions that are faulty. Class action Lawsuit filed against Nissan jan 2012. Google it and take action if need be to be part of the Suit.

I have a 2005 Nissan Frontier owned since new. It has 98500 miles as at July 9th. Until the end of June the vehicle was serviced by Nissan of Reno. Throughout the life of the vehicle the dealer has been exemplary. The vehicle has been serviced to the maintenance book. Even when we had a timing chain problem just above 60,000 the dealer and Nissan maade no quibble. It was changed at Nissan expense. We have never been "upsold" as the dealer was interested in a happy customer rather than making extra income outside the book for the Tech. Until we met LOKEY of Clearwater. After driving 3000 miles to the new town I booked the truck in for a LOF and rotation, due at 97,500 miles. I was told I would be out in an hour or less. After an hour and a half I was invited to go into the workshop to talk to the Tech. He told me I needed to change the brake fluid and steering fluid. He also told me it was time to change the platinum plugs. Total cost: $650!!! This my friends is "upselling" Doing work not needed for the cash. By the way plugs change at 105,000. My point here is that Nissan make a very good vehicle. What you cannot always trust is the dealer. Remember. A bad dealer is bad for us all. Complain about the dealer to Nissan Corporate. If we all complain they will act on our behalf.

Nissan does not stand by their product. I purchased a 2004 Maximum in 2006. 3 months later I needed a new battery. Every 1 1/2 years since I have put a new battery in the car. Also every 1 1/2 years I must replace a front head light. The only explanation I receive is, well you are living in the the South now, I come from New England, and it is much hotter. So head lights and batteries go every year to two years. If I buy the explanation I should not be driving.

ok give their info. i hope is not the same i already have ok give their info. i hope is not the same i already have

best car in the world keep it up nissan your production of car are really awesome...

i also am very disgusted customer with nissan.we have a 2005 frontier nissan truck that the paint is peeling off.called dealer pat peck and spoke to 5 different people finally someone told me to call nissan customer service.spoke to rep.was told to go to dealer and get estimate on truck.i went the next day got the estimate came home called back these bozos didn't even want to see estimate.the paper work from shop said this was due to factory default it's something with the color gray.there are other customers having same problem.how in the world can you make a decision not to pay to have this problem fixed for us?it's not like it would cost thousands of dollars.i will speak negative about nissan corp.i'am fixing to replace my car with a new one no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NISSAN

I bought a certified pre-owned 2009 Nissan Rogue 2 years ago - the first time buying one on my own. I drove over an hour to the dealership because of the Rogues posted on their website and their stated prices. The cars I was interested in were not equipped as posted. I wound up buying the vehicle - the salesman stated there were 22,00 miles on it when actually there were 28,000 (noticed when I was driving home; salesman also stated extended warranty was about $1000 (was actually about double that). I learned a lesson that day. The dealership does not acknowledge that there is a problem with the headlights - when driving on a very dark road, I cannot see more than 20' in front of me. Since it is not always possible to have the brights on, I feel it is a major, dangerous problem. Has anyonee else experienced this?

To all the people who's complaints I am reading I just want to say. They do make a difference; after reading them I am no longer going to do business with NISSAN. I too own a NISSAN and am very displeased with the customer service I received. At the very least NISSAN should add a ZERO to the rating system, since ONE is to high.

I am a 5 times Nissan owner. My lady and i purchased a brand new 2007 Nissan 350Z Roadster. The vehicle has not been touch by anyone else but Performance Nissan. Since the beginning we noticed problems with the convertible top that was not operatng properly when executing the opening and closing movements. That was fixed by Nissan and then we noticed that the roof top was tearing and had to be replaced. That was replaced by Nissan also. We then experienced problems with the window motor that supposely was burned out wich Nissan Performance agreed to absorb the cost of the part but I had to pay for the labor ($475.00) We then once again experienced problems with the roof top mechanism operating opening and closing mode. When the vehicle goes to service, they supposed to perform vehicle inspection and never we were told that the motor mount and shock absorbers were leaking and we also discovered that the roof top is again tearing from the exactly same location as before. I contacted Nissan Performance and Nissan Corporation and both declined my claim because the vehicle is out of warranty. Let me say that although the vehicle is out of warranty, the vehicle is actually under 16,000 miles. Neither Performance Nissan nor Nissan Corporation want to take responsibility and provide any type of assistance. As a matter of fact, the representative from Nissan Corporation Michael ??? and his Supervisors Vaughan ??? were very rude when I tried to talk to them.
