Poor service

I bought my 2012 nissan altima at Al Piemonte Nissan located at 1600 West North avenue, Melrose Park, IL. I was told by the sales department that I can always have a car wash at this dealership since I bought my car from them. first couple car wash that i had from them are good because the wait didnt take that long I was satisfied, but lately I went there to get my car wash again and I just cant believe it. I was waitiing at the waiting area for at least an hour and a half for a wash. All I want is a car wash nothing else. I waited 1 hour and half and I checked if my car was wash and it was not. I dont know if they are too busy in the service for a wash or they just doing this purposely so customers wont come back for wash. Just imagine how long it would take for a car repair to get done if they cant handle a simple car wash. washing a car will only take atleast 10 mins. I know car wash is not that expensive, but they told me that i can get it from them since I bought my car from them, so why bother going somewhere if I cant get it at the dealership. This is a poor service performance. This dealership needs to a wakeup call for this kind of service. Im not going to be surprise if they loose service customers because of their service performance. I would greatly appreciate if things will change at this dealership. thanks you

I also bought a 2012 nissian pathfinder. The first one only got around 15-19 mile per gal on the open road, in town no more than 11 miles. The front end was trembling very bad. First time I took it in to the service center they said they found about 3 bolts that the nut or something never realy told me what kind of bolt. Said they were loose but they tightened them. It still trembled. I took it back the second time kept 1 week said could not find anything wrong. AFTER A WEEK. GET REAL. The service center told me that the noice and trember was that the air compressor stayed on all the time that was what i was feeling. The kept telling me that it was on a truck chasisey like that was the problem. I took it back a third time for the same reason said could not find the trembe. I could come and drive another one. I did . that pathfinder drove better, no noise. I thought he ment that we was going to swap out but suprise I did like a trade in. Never would have done it if I know what I know now. This SUV gets better gas miliage and rides better but now I hear a noise that sounds like a flat tire flapping. Took to the shop. Said he heard it the first time he drove but not the second time. Got it in 2 days. I didn't her the noise the next morning but you have to let the back window down to hear it. GUESS WHAT. RIGHT. IT IS SSTILL SOUNDS LIKE A FLAT TIRE FLAPPING ON THE ROAD. It scares me to drive it. Taking it back Saturday moring for them to check our right then.. We will see what happens next. will post what goes on,

DON'T BUY NISSAN VEHICLE

I purchased a brand new 2013 Nissan Altima 2.5 SV The "red" break light came on within 125 miles, I took to Nissan service station where they said a minor problem " one of the electrical plug was loosely fitted but no mechanical defects - safe to drive". Trusting him I took the vehicle and started driving where the break light came on intermittently, repeated in 500 miles, on top of that the phone error window totally blocked the GPS. Luckily, I was driving in a known street where GPS was not necessary but imagine if driving would be in a busy unknown place. I brought the car to the service station where the senior mechanic told me that it was a software problem, which needs to be upgraded. I said I don't have confidence to drive this vehicle, where they provided me a rental vehicle, it's been more than 6 weeks now that the vehicle is in Nissan service center and they are still waiting for the newer version software. Who knows it will be reliable one. Now they are blaming to the government who is delaying to approve the software. I asked them to replace the vehicle but they said they cannot do it. It is very difficult to reach the customer service, one never be able to directly talk to a responsible person. After leaving several voice messages they contacted. Now there are few communications however with no solutions, same stereotyped answer, "I understand your problem, but we cannot do anything at this time". With the money that I paid for a full featured vehicle, now I am driving a base model rental vehicle over a month which has high gasoline consumption. I asked them for corporate contacts, in turn they say there are no body who can entertain this issue. They denies to give the corporate office numbers. Since I suffered a lot physically and emotionally by buying a Nissan vehicle and their customer service. I recommend everybody that Nissan vehicle is non-reliable on top of it they have worst customer service. Be aware future customers DON'T BUY NISSAN VEHICLE.

Johnny, We thought you might be interested in what has transpired since we removed our 2005 Nissan Altima from the service dept and took it to someone else who by the way is a Certified Nissan Tech. Pressure and chemical testing were performed plus additional diagnostics performed. The car needed Spark Plugs and two thermostats (NOT A HEAD GASKET OR NEW ENGINE) The following message is being posted on Facebook, Twitter and sent to Nissan Corporate as the public needs to be aware of your so called services: We purchased a 2005 Nissan new and have always taken the car to Nissan for service. 16 month ago we were told we needed a head gasket and had one put on at the tune of $900 + which we have serious doubt it needed it. A week ago we were told that we needed the head gasket replaced again, that our spark plugs were good and that anti-freeze was leaking into the 3rd cylinder to the tune of $1100. Service told us that if the engine was warped we would need an engine at the tune of $7000+ for a rebuilt one. Our car has 123,000 miles and they were willing to sell us an engine for $5000+ with 99,000 miles on it. Service told me that two mechanics would give us $500 for the car and that if we were offered anymore than that on a trade in that we should take it. After thinking it over we removed the car from Nissan and took it to another repair facility where the Mechanic/owner is a certified Nissan Tech. Anyway our car needed spark plugs which we were showed the bad ones and two thermostats replaced. (Blue Springs Nissan told us the spark plugs were good after I specifically asked them the condition) Our car runs great and were told that the car engine should last 200,000 to 300,000 miles. The service manager, sales manager and general manage tried to convince us to trade it in on a new vehicle and that they would give us more money on trade in then anyone else and send our car to Auction. We will never buy a car from Blues Springs Nissan and they should be ashamed of themselves for treating people this way to make a buck. We thought we were being treated good for 6 years and now we wonder how many other things we paid for that were not needed. We still have free oil changes but would not step foot on that property or let them touch our car! Shame on all of you!!!!!!!! Patty and Lyle Mortensen

transmission problems

I have a xterra 05 with a little over 54,000 miles and the transmission goes bad.. this is due to the defect in the radiator system which cracks and allows transmission fluid into the the radiator and coolant into the trans. long story short now the trans is no good and i have a truck sitting in my drive way cause your company wont fix it and they will not come to the plate and make this a recall.. so I have sold my pathfinder and my 300z and now i will be junking my truck.. I have read that you will fix it as long a it is under 80,000 and has an extended warrenty.. well i have the 80,000 miles covered but not the extended warrenty Thanks for helping me choose another make of car to buy. Thanks Joe Sarcone

Re; 2005 Pathfinder

I bought a 2005 Pathfinder with 86,000 miles on Feb. of 2011. I love my pathfinder until 6 months after the Transmission gave out and I recently received the letter of the extension of warranty to 80,000 because of many vehicles with the same problem of the radiator having a crack and allowing coolant to escape and damaging the transmissions. My pathfinder has been parked for at least a year, I am still making car payments & it is way too much money to fix it. I already passed the extended warranty and my pathfinder is currently at 101,400 miles. So what do I do? I have an SUV which I am still making monthly payments and have no extra money to pay to the damages which I think should have been a recall because the extension of the warranty only help a few people and what about me and other people in the same situation like me? Not happy with the Nissan satisfaction & performance

I must tell you a HUGE tree fell on top of my Murano. The following day, two more trees buried the car. When everything was removed not only did it start right up, but the roof sustained very little damage. It is the body shop now but I would love to send you pictures. YOU WOULD NOT BELIEVE IT. None of my neighbors even knew there was a car under that mess. Susan FEDROW. Jericho LI. Hurricane Sandy survivor.

I went through USAA and was guaranteed a price. I called the dealership twice to confirm the price for a cashier’s check. 3 things were promised. 1. Price 2. Certified Pre Owned 3. The vehicle would be detailed and exterior was flawless. I rented a vehicle and drove from Fort Smith, AR to Lewisville, TX. I inspected the vehicle. It was not detailed, just vacuumed. Exterior was not flawless. The dealership could not find the paper work for CPO. I let that go. When we sat down to do the paper work, all of a sudden there were more charges. One of the sales people tried to tell me it was Texas State Law to apply the extra charges. We were stalled and given the run around. We decided to walk away. Five minutes down the road I received a call from the Sales person stating "just to help our customers, we are will willing to pay the extra fees for you." I continued to drive 300 miles back home. I am very disappointed. I hope this is not typical.

I have a 2009 nissan maxima44k that i purchased in may.my Car failed on me and completely locked up on me .i had to have my car towed to penced nissan.I looked up the powersteering columns going bad on the 2009-2010 nissan maximas, but i was told mine wasnt part of the recall but i was experiencing the same problem. I was told If they would fix my car it would be out of "good will"APPARENTLY they do not have a good will because after 9 days of my car sitting in the shop, the regional assistance manager cotacted me and told me they could not help me.because of the milage on my car was a little bit over.44k isnt far from 36k.so i am stuck with a large repair bill. I do not feel that a nearly new car steering column going bad is normal, its a safety issue and nissan does not stand behind there cars. I will never purchase a nissan again.

A brand new 2013 Altima out the door with under 50 miles. Back in the shop within 100 miles. Returned to me and within 25 miles it is back in the shop. The service department has had it more than I have. Back in the shop again. Very poor service and a very poor car. Buyers Beware.

IHAVE A NISAN PATHFINDER 2006 I WAS HAPPY WITH THE CAR UNTIL WHEN COMING OUT FROM WORK I TRIED TO START MY SUV AND IT WOULDNT START SO TRIED GIVING IT A JUMP THINKING IT MIGHT BE THE BATTERY WELL THAT DIDNT WORK SO I HAD IT TOW TO MY MECHANIC WHO CHECK IT OUT AND TOLD ME THAT THE RADIATOR HAD WENT OUT AND WAS SENDING RADIATOR FLUID INTO THE TRANS SHORTING OUT THE MODULE AND CAUSING OTHER DAMAGES TO THE TRANS MY SERVICE WARRANTY HAD GONE OUT BUT I FOUND OUT THAT NISSAN WAS HAVING THIS SAME PROBLEMS WITH ALL THIER PATHFINDERS SINCE 2001 I FOUND OVER 5000 COMPLANTS ABOUT THE SAME PROBLEMS I FEEL THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN A RECALL PROBLEM WHICH COULD HAVE BEEN TAKEN CARE OF IN A TIMELY MANNER IT ALSO LET ME KNOW THAT NISSAN KNEW ABOUT THIS EXISTING PROBLEM AND DID NOTHING ABOUT IT I FEEL THAT NISSAN SHOULD PAY FOR THE REPAIRS ON MY VEHICLE I HAVE MADE THE NECCESSARITY CONTACTS ABOUT YOUR PRODUCT AND I WIIL DO EVERYTHING IN POWERS TO SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT NISSAN AFTER THIS MOST OF MY FRIENDS SAID THEY ARE NOT GOING TO BUY ANY PRODUCT OF NISSAN SINCERELY MARSHALL WASHINGTON

Iir have been having trouble with my 2008 Nissan Altima for over three years with the brake on the left front wheel making a very bad noise. I have taken it to Athens Nissan in Athens Ga. I get a different answer abou what is wrong each time. I am getting tired of driving a 100 miles for service plus paying for things they say is wrong and then a few weeks later the noise starts again. I understand it has been taken over by a new owner and when I called about it making a noise I was informed that everyone I had dealt with before was now gone and the man I talked to acted like he had no information about what had been done to my car. He was rude and said He Had To See THe Car as He had never heard the noise. I am going to trade for a Kia and never again will I own a Nissan!!!!!

In the past 10 years my family has purchased at least 4 Nissan vehicles and have been pleased with our vehicles. I even participated in a commercial discussing how pleased I was with Nissan. However I can no longer say that and I will probably never by another Nissan vehicle due to my most recent experience. I have a 2010 Nissan Altima that has needs a major repair. I had my vehicle diagnostic competed at your Bel Air dealership. After waiting almost 3 hours in the waiting room I was finally informed on exactly what was wrong with my vehicle. When I denied repairing the vehicle b/c of the cost and told the customer rep I was going to contact customer care the attitude of the rep at the dealership changed for the worst. He basically said Nissan is not going to help with this repair and made me wait another 30 min to get my car. I followed up with customer care about my vehicle over 3 weeks ago and after playing phone tag with a customer care rep for weeks I was told Nissan will not assist me with any of the cost b/c of the mileage on the vehicle and the lack of service actually done at the vehicle at the dealership. I live in Cecil County, MD and the deal ship is almost an hour away from my home so I have never routinely had any of my Nissan serviced there because of the large commute. I am so disappointed in how I have been treated. Again, this is the 4th and last Nissan my family will buy. This experience has been horrible.

I traded in two (2) cars yesterday, and was really dissapointed in the deal I received. I was ripped off! I will never buy another Nissan

WENT TO MEADOWLAND NISSAN. GOT DUPED INTO A 30,000 DOLLAR LOAN THAT WASN'T WORTH THE AGRAVATION THAT I GOT. THEY ARE DISRESPECTFUL AND THE ASSISTANT MANAGER IS VERY BELIGERENT IN THE MANNER HE CONDUCTS HIS BUSINESS WITH CUSTOMERS. I HOPE THE ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE CLOSES THEM DOWN...

Good Morning, I came as of yesterday to pick up the car that I agreed on with good faith that I will get it with no hassle. I was totally embarrassed with the treatment I received from this Dealership. The salesman who quoted me with the price that I was satisfied with was not there to serve me with the car that we agreed on over the phone. Even though he told me he might not be there that someone else will do the paper work. Some other sale person did not know the deal that was agreed upon and try to sale me a car that I did not want. He was very rude and pushy; it was very unprofessional with his deliver to me. I came in good faith and happy with my money, to purchase this car with my daughter. It seems to me that this dealership is not good with keeping there end of the bargain up. I would still like to purchase the car that I ask for with what we priced it for. I was very upset at the time because I thought I would be treated right.

I own a crew cab frontier. The dealership is Baker/Jackson and I wouldn't take my vehicle anywhere else. The auto service dept. has a jewel in Carlos. He makes your wait anticipatory. He never fails. Thanks BJ

There should be a no star selection. This company is the worse I have ever dealt with in my s64 years. My 2011 seantr's body side molding is beginning to peal off. Also my silver hubcaps are turning gold. The dealer says this is normal although to any uniterested party it clearly isn't. Took it to a dealer closer to me but they had been "warned" of me. The service writer started saying my doors had beenh hit etc. He made the mistake of mentioning Fife Nissan which I had not talked to him about. Then he called Michael at Nissan (457259) and told him his lies. Michael then told me he had to stick with his service depts. So I'm stuck with an almost new car that is falling apart. Never again Nissan. You stink. Liars and cheats!

All you whinning sniveling people wake up it a frickin car made by people like you and me. Shit happen's. Be man or women enough to go to the dealerships in which ou bought from. And maybe your problems might be solved........
