After making reservations at the motel 6 in New port News Va. #4668 for a two night stay July 3rd through July 5th. My wife and I were very disappointed to find that the pool was closed down for the entire summer. they told us it would be open. The next disappointment was the ice machine was broken and remained that way during both days of our stay. It was over one hundred degrees for both days. Our first room was very shabby and dusty It did not have a ref. or microwave as we requested. There was a lot trash and dirt under the bed. I reported the coindition of the room to the front desk. they offered us another room. Although the room was clean, the air conditioner did not work properly. the door lock was broken and needed repair. There was dog poop all over the grass section. My wife and I will not stay here ever again.
Outside appearance at proprty #4586 was great. Looked loke a place to be. Desk attendant gave us 2 full beds instead of queen. First sign something is wronng, right? Shower was Filthy. Hair and mildew and just plain dirty. We skipped shower, and instead just washed up at sink. People next door were having sex in their shower, we could hear them over running water. Shower turned itself on during the night spontaneously several times. Beds were uncomfortable and neither of us slept much. ON THE OTHER HAND, we were in Benson Arizona last Tuesday (July 3, 2012) and the facility there was excellent. Highly recommended. Will never go back to Deming, New Mexico.
I used to work for motel 6 and I did not leave on bad terms so I am not writing this in retaliation or any thing like that I live in wva and due to the recent black out I had to stay in a hotel and I know that when I worked there we took care of our customers to the fullest. I made my reservation at 8 am and was told that the room would not be ready until after 3 but due to people scrambling and trying to get every where the cab company had a 5 hour wait but I call the motel because I knew that I would not be there before 6 so I spoke to a polite young man and he said that there would not be an issue upon coming to the motel I was checked into a dirty room and when I returned to the desk the other desk clerk got smart by saying that you did not gaurtee your room and we dont have any more I am not gonna lie i did get loud with her because I was tired and hot and that I do say I am sorry but it does not matter if it would have been me or someone else in that room it was not cleaned. I did take the sheets and cleaner and clean the room my self and when I call and complained I was told that I was just trying to get a free night by dorinda and at no time did i ask for my money back and NOw THAT i THINK ABOUT IT I WOULD LIKE TO BE TAKEN CARE OF I DO NOT APPREACATE IT
I stay at motel 6 in Anaheim, Ca frequently with them having two locations I usually alternate between the 2 depending on rates in March of 2012 I stayed at their brookhurst location. I did not enjoy my stay due to the clerk and maintenance people beign rude and unhelpful. I gave them a not so good review and moved on and have been staying at their main gate location ever since. Now almost 4 months later we has a quick 2 day trip planned for this upcoming week we decided to give it one more chance since it was only for 2 days. This morning I get a call from them telling me I have been banned from ever staying their again! It is ridiculous how can they decide to give me notice less than a week before when I had booked over one month and a half the guy was so ride when I asked why I had been banned he said cause of a stolen item which is ridiculous considering I don't even use their soap! I bring my own items including sheets and pillows! When I asked if I could ask what item had been stolen and why I has not been notified he refused. He ruined our trip and accused me of theft! I filed a complaint but they seem to not even care. I have monthly trips and always use a motel 6 but from now on i will be staying elsewhere this Is the worst experience I've had and will NEVER stay at a motel 6 again!!!
My son has been staying at the Motel 6 at 6717 Plymouth Road in Stockton, Ca for the last month while working in Stockton. On June 21 2012 his room was broken into and his computer and sun glasses were stolen from his room. His roommate lost a watch and a few other items. Their room was on the back side of the hotel, and they have no security in the day. The local Motel 6 is doing nothing to help for his loss. Last week he was still at the Motel 6 and now has red welts and blisters all over his body. BED BUGS. We will be contacting the corporate office, consumer affairs and the health department. He and his coworkers (up to 10 a week) all pay cash for their rooms. On the week his room got broken into, they (the motel staff) said he was not registered as a guest of the motel. The staff must not be recording total fees paid for the room and pocketing the rest of the money. There are alot of drug dealers and hookers on and around the facility day and night. something needs to be done about the safety at this facility.
For the price, I expect to hear people and cars outside. I am a little freaked out by the size of the gap in the door. But like I said, you get what you pay for. What I didn't expect is when I walked into my room and saw I needed toilet paper, that I would be threatened to leave. Or that instead of stocking toilet paper in my room, the ENTIRE staff is sitting on the dirty ground smoking for most of the day. They did not give me the price I reserved online. And they said if I didn't want to pay their new price, that I could go somewhere else, there are plenty of people who need a room. I know this, its busy, which is why i booked in advance. IF YOU THINK OF BOOKING WITH MOTEL 6, GO THROUGH A TRAVEL WEBSITE. The managers here are rejects. I doubt they can get jobs anywhere else. They have no training in customer service and all have chips on their shoulders. This company could make a lot of money, they could offer different levels of rooms, keep prices reasonable and pay to train their staff. Instead, if you complain, or ask for anything after you've checked in, be prepared to be asked to leave. I have never been treated so disrespectful. Customers definitely not welcome.
Just ask fooooor maribel arreola motel6 baytown tx. She will give you happy ending special.
This was the worse place I have ever seen and the non-smoking room bed spread had cigarette holes in it (huh). I took pictures because I just could not believe they would rent out a room this disgusting and it smelled liked SMOKE!!!!! Motel 6 needs to be sued for false advertisement and really need to look into doing an undercover boss routine and see how the up keep of the rooms are not being kept. I will never stay at a Motel 6 again and hope they clean up their act of just shut down the place. I wish I could post these pictures to show everyone how awful the place was. I was not from the town and not familiar with the area but if I had been I would have called out the news channel and the health department to expose them. I left my luggage outside in my garage because I not sure if I picked something up in the short amount of time I put my luggage down to inspect the room. I am pretty sure they have many lawsuits pending because of all the reviews I have read, just wished I had read them sooner!!!!!
I made reservations at a motel 6 in garland TX for 5-23-12. When we got there the man at the front desk was rude snappy and had a bad attitude. After checking in we go to our room and sit down and begin to relax after a few minuets of sitting we begin to see fleas start crawling and jumping all over us. We tell the front desk and they said that they were sorry and would get us another room. When we go to the new room we were gonna take a shower and clean up but we didn't even get to do that because it looked like the towels had just been folded and put back on the rack and not washed! Since our last room had fleas we decited to look in the beds to see if they were clean and didn't have bed bugs we find that the sheets hadn't even been washen either and were covered in hair from the last person who stayed. We went to the front desk and demanded a refund we were not staying there. I will never stay at another motel 6 again!
In May of this year, I was scheduled to stay at Motel 6 - New Orleans #1429 property. In fact, this was a return visit, after having stayed at that property numerous times. After arriving at the property on the date of my reservation, which was made several days in advance, I was told by the desk clerk that I had been placed on a “cannot stay here list.” After questioning this, confident that a mistake had been made, I was told that either “something was missing from my room on a previous stay” or that “I had stayed past checkout on a previous stay.” While I assure you that neither of these things ever happened, I was shocked at the difference in “level of seriousness” of these accusations. One, after all, involves theft; the latter is more discourteous than anything else. Vastly different things! While the problem was obviously out of the desk clerk’s control, I assured her that I would complain to “corporate,” which, by the way, I did promptly. In spite of filing a detailed complaint, I never received a reply. Nothing! After allowing several weeks to pass, I phoned your customer service department, and was told that they could not “override the decision of the district manager.” He/she apparently sided with the property management, without even contacting me. If the district manager had carefully investigated, he/she would have discovered that: • I have stayed at various Motel 6 properties (both for business and pleasure) for many years, beginning with my first stay in 1987 at your Russellville, Arkansas location. • Since that first stay, over the past 25 years ago, I have stayed at “hundreds” of Motel 6 properties, totaling over 1,000 nights (a conservative guest, at best). • I have used a “myMotel 6” account, since its advent, which should have allowed the district manager to trace my stays, even if simply those in recent years. • In all of the above-mentioned stays I have never had a single problem regarding anything like the aforementioned accusation. Under such circumstances, I have no way to dispute the claim of the management, especially since the purported event occurred sometime in 2011. I do believe, however, that the above-listed points should convince one “of common sense” that the property’s accusation (whatever it is) is ridiculous. Clearly, after such a disappointment, I have no intention of staying at Motel 6 ever again. While it goes without saying, I will encourage friends, family, and coworkers to do the same.
Motel 6, Westborough Massachusetts=Dump. I have stayed in many good Motel 6's, but this one was a major disappointment. Blown light bulb in ceiling light upon entering room, bathroom fan sounded like a helicopter was landing through the ceiling, shower curtain rod almost out of wall, people"s hair from previous stay all over bathroom and in tub, rusted ceiling strips in bathroom and the list goes on. I called the front desk to complain about the fan and the light and he said maintenance had the day off and hung up on me. No offer to switch my room and motel was far from being sold out. Very disappointed with room, staff, and what I got for $60.00.
My wife and I stay quite often when we travel at Motel/Studio 6's along our routes when possible. We have had several great experinces and a few less than great but staff usally made up for lack of property management. Well we booked a room in Atalanta (Norcross #4491) and attached you will find pictures of what we found. We arrived around 7 p.m. after driving 12 hours and located the hotel. When we pulled into the parking lot it was a surprise to see broken down cars and people just haning around and yes one person was smoking what they call a "blunt" You could smell the Marijauana burning from accross the courtyard. The person on duty was nice and got our reservation taken care of. We proceeded with caution to the back side of the hotel where we encountered a lady with a very large pit bull dog walking the back of the property. Not five minutes after opening the door a lady who had been standing at a corner room approached and asked us for money. Well the pictures will speak for themselves. We started unloading our vehichle all the while being watched from upstairs and by the woman who asked for money. We after seeing the room immediately packed back up and returned to the office amidst whoops and hollering and laughter of leaving already? The desk clerk was very apologetic and did refund our charge for the room. I have been listing to all the ad spots of how Motel 6 is improving and what have you but does no one inspect the franchises or properties? This place should not have your brand anywhere near it! We traveled down the road and saw another Motel 6 just off of the Highway (Think it was a Days Inn at one time) it was great the staff (Cathy) was awesome and sympathetic to our recent plight. Now this was the kind of place we expect from a Motel 6. Thank You Wayne and Donna Hanusch
Motel 6 in pascoe, washington. Uck, bed bugs all over biting me, asked for refund left and slept in pickup after midnight.
So myself, husband and son moved from upstate NY to Palm Bay Florida. We stayed at the Motel 6 off of exit 173 of I-95. We went into the office. My husband handed her his license and she said oh that's a horrible picture. I don't remember asking her opinion. So we get out keys. Go in the room. Not the best but it was ok. We noticed alot of dirt, stains and burnt comforter. We don't sleep on motel sheets or use their blankets anyway. Over the week the staff was rude. Front desk staff were arrogant. And believe me. They have no reason to be. The "manager" Mrs. Cece lives there in the far back. And drives a car with a Century 21 sign. That's a good sight. Her husband sells houses and they live at a motel 6. Anyway we minded our own business. Housekeeping was horrible. They would knock and say are you staying. Well yes. The next question. Have you paid? Well obviously. Just give me my towels. Although they didn't do that either. But the straw that broke the camels back. They have "security" there from Friday-Sunday overnight. Mind you we had never spoke to him. My husband and I were outside sitting on our car using the free Internet from Lowes next door because motel 6 wants $2.99 a day. Anyway, we arelooking for a new home and enjoying a small glass of wine. Security, after following us taking a walk ( he hid behind trees) he came up to us and said we were loitering. I said no we are not. We have a room here. Which was literally 5 feet in front of us. He said that Mrs CEce said we can not be outside after 10 PM. I am 38 and hubby is 48. I told him I was not going to be told what to do. I am an adult. He said if we did not go in our room we were going to be thrown out. Mind you there are no curfew signs anywhere. To make a long story short. We beat feet the very next morning. I do not know who they think they are. I paid for that room. And we were doing nothing wrong!!! I will NEVER go to another Motel 6. This one is gross!!!!!! Mrs CEce can have it
I stayed at the Motel 6 off of Exit 12 near Memphis, TN. I checked in on Monday 6/4/12 in a handicap room. It was ok when I checked in. I stayed thru Sat a.m. 6/9/12. I was going back and forth to the Germantown Charity Horseshow in Germantown, TN. So, I didn't have to get up early. I would leave at 1 or 2 pm daily. Room was not cleaned on Wed. Plus housekeeping took away one of the pillows. That left me with 1 pillow to sleep on. I complained to the front desk. They did NOTHING! Again on Thursday room was not cleaned! And, my 2nd pillow was never brought back. I will never stay at a Motel 6 again! They can leave the light on all they want. I will not be back!
On Wednesday, June 6, 2012 my husband and I stayed at the Motel 6 located at 4000 SE 40th Blvd in Gainsville FL. The first room we were put in did not have the TV hooked up so the manager put us in another room. At 11 p.m. I woke up with horrible itching and whelps all over my face and arms and chest. I called the manager who came to the room within minutes to see what was wrong. When I turned on the light after I awoke itching, there were roaches all over the dresser. The manager apologized and put us in another room immediately. She said that my welps were caused by mosquitos she saw in the room. She went and got me some Benedryl and gave my husband a certificate for a free night at any Motel 6. Today, June 8th, I had to seek medical attention because the whelps did not go away and still itch horribly. I was informed that this is bed-bug bites! I was told that the parasites are under my skin laying eggs, and that when they hatch, they will come out and then be in my house if we can not kill them while they are under my skin. I called the motel and spoke to Tamara. She informed me that I shouldn't worry, that bed-bugs did not carry disease. I wouldn't wish this miserable itching on my worst enemy! I will check mattresses from now on for black eggs at the seams. I thought rooms were supposed to be cleaned and sanitized after each rental. I will be letting the VA hospital in Gainsville know that they need to drop Motel 6 from their list of places to house their disabled veterans.
BED BUGS BED BUGS BED BUGS BED BUGS, I NOW KNOW WHAT A BED BUG IS. THANK YOU SO MUCH MOTEL 6 FOR EDUCATING ME ON WHAT THEY ARE AND WHAT THEY DO. NEVER NEVER NEVER AGAIN!
I have stayed at the Motel 6 in Cocoa Beach numerous times, either using my ID or my fiances. We tried to get a room last night and were told, "we cannot rent to you" so I called the manager and asked for an explanation as to why. The only thing she said after each question I asked her was -- and I quote-- "I cannot rent to you" -- Three times, still no explanation.. Very disappointed. Going to contact the headquarters as this was totally unacceptable and no reason for not being able to stay was ever provided.. They also "banned" my fiance too, and no reason was ever provided to him either. not happy at all!!!
wifi sucks and u have to pay for it..........rooms are not mopped..........water pressure sucks.........shower is too low you have to get on your knees to shower......cant put a sign on the door to do not disturb cuz they will anyway....not allowed to have a sign on ur door when ur gone at all...thats cuz they want to snoop around in our room....customer service sucks they dont call ppl back let alone they are idiots that dont even know much about there hotel.....WE ARE A WEEKLY GUEST HERE WHO IS GIVING THERE MONEY ELSEWHERE....WE HATE THIS PLACE.
I wish I could leave negative stars. We stayed at the Lakewood Colorado Motel 6. We had reservations for 2 nights. The first night we had a drug dealer and at least one hooker in the parking lot for the first part of the evening. One man was in the parking lot taking pictures of peoples cars coming in and out of the lot.. figure what that was about. Fights that broke out until 2-3 in the morning. Police called.. we were sure we would be on the next episode of COPS. The room was so dirty that we were afraid of taking off our shoes. The bed was DIRTY. I think I used at least $50 worth of hot water just trying to feel clean. The air didn't work well and the fridge was held together with red duct tape. The second night was supposed to be in another room because the "manager" was so SURPRISED by the Parking lot escipades, that she comped our second nights room. We got there and the room was Dirtier than the first. The air didn't work at all. The commericial about Motel 6.. We'll keep the light on... EEEEE At this one They'll keep the light on ITS A RED LIGHT MOtel 6 was very smart and sent me a survey on my nights stay there... I answered it.. said everything that I had to say... It lead me bad to the... Manager who did nothing about it in the first place. LET ME SAY IT STAY AWAY FROM MOTEL 6 from reading the other posts it seems like as a corporation they have let their standards down a lot. We have always used them over the years... NEVER AGAIN I will tell everyone I know to stay away from every Motel 6 across the nation
