policy vs customer service
Recently left Hunt Valley Residence Inn since they tried to extort an additional $75 dollars because I had a 15 pound dog. non shedding dog.. No need to stay at Marriott went to HILTON .No worries
Ants and info
On our last nite in Key West Fla we reported ants in our bed and in the room. The desk clerk said " Well you are in Key West. It's to be expected." Excuse me!! We paid over $200 a night and did not expect ants. We asked that all the bedding be exchanged ' which it was without any hotel staff help, at 11pm. Ugh, never again.
Courtyard Foster City
The manager at the Courtyard in Foster City, Yakub Yakubi, should be removed. He does not the fit the professional, welcoming manager we are used to staying at Marriott's throughout the country. He was short, rude and would not review our bill for some inaccuracies. Very disappointing and time to take my silver elite business to another hotel chain.
Thank You Residence Inn Williamsburg
My husband and I stayed at the Residence Inn on Richmond Rd in Williamsburg in late September. Unfortunately my husband died during an outing and I just wanted to commend the staff for their kindness shown to my husband and myself both before and after he died. In particular i wish to mention Kandi, Marlin, Sal and the entire cleaning crew-- I look forward to returning and staying with them in the future. They went out of their way to make me feel better. My family and I were displaced from our home in April 2013 as a result of a fire. Our insurance put us at a nearby hotel but we did not like the service and we moved to the Mariott Towne Place inDeSoto, TX. Well we had very good service. The staff was always professional and willing to help us whenever we called. After 7 mts. We are ready to move home. Thank you all staff at Marriott Towne Place in DeSoto, Tx. We appreciate you all. From the front desk to the housekeeping staff, to the excellent breakfast cooking staff.
evansville-west-fairfield inn
We went to visit our daughter and stayed at the inn. We paid $150.00 per night without an AARP discount or military discount which we have because they were not honoring them this weekend. Veteran Day nonetheless. They had one person making the breakfast with a full inn. We waited forty five minutes for eggs and never got any. If you make us pay this much without discount the least you can do is have enough people working so we get the breakfast we were promised. No sausage ready either. Next time we will stay elsewhere and buy a breakfast. It should come to the same amount in the end with better service.

Fairfield Inn in Macon Georgia
We made reservations on September 4, 2013, today we attempted to check in at 4:30 and the rooms were not available because they were not cleaned. Check in is at 3. Poor poor customer service!
Residence Inn Marriott Mission Bay San Diego CA
The rooms at this hotel were nice, within the exception of a water leak by the restroom basin. However, that was nothing compared to our treatment by the front desk when our debit/credit card was charged multiple times. I had to have my card cancelled, with no apology from the front desk. It was clear the front desk personnel committed the fraud, as was indicated by my bank. The front desk offered no apology in any capacity. I strongly recommend to all that visit this hotel that you not use your card for incidentals. I was very disappointed that Marriott, who I consider to be a good organization, allowed this type of fraudulent behavior to occur.
At approximately 9:05 AM, on 7/30/2013 I was watching my local news and learned about the grand opening of a Court Yard (by Marriot) hotel embarking on a new venture in Syracuse NY (Armory Square). As I was watching the news broadcast, I observed the new general manager who was very informative. However, the thing that struck me the most was the fact that he would represent Marriott Corporation as he did by his appearance. He was wearing a blazer, polo shirt, jeans and sneakers of which nothing matched. I have been in the military and corporate America for a combination of 26 years and it is simply amazing as to what I was watching before my very eyes. I have over 20 plus years in management and I would never allow any one of my employees represent the company in I worked for dressed like this gentleman I saw this morning. I simply wanted to bring this to your attention.

We spent many nights at N.I.H. in Bethesda, MD and were very happy with the Marriott when my husband was in N.I.H. for cancer. We were treated very well, and the breakfasts were great! You made a hard time for our family so much better. The staff was great; kind and helpful. Many thanks.

stayed at the mariott hotel in Orlando fla at the airport on Augusta nat drive it was a nightmare there was a fuzzy animal convention that came in on friday could not get any sleep due to the noise they were running the halls yelling and dressed up in animal costumes had to call the front desk to have security to go to the floor twice but did no good, never had i experince anything like this before not even in lower rated hotels . We were told that when one group would leave the convention hall another would partiers would walk the halls, so we had to suffer two nights of this activity, this was well below the standard of the mariott chain and I will never stay at another mariott, due to the lack of hotel standards.
Rivera Beach Marriott Oceana
No manager on duty at 2100. Wifi poor in master bed room area beautiful place needs some minor improvements. Pool area great, apartments very nicely appointed, beach area very good with great services.
No Hospitality Here
Stayed at the Courtyard Marriott in New Haven CT. We were with a Travel Baseball Team with 11 and 12 year olds. To make a long story short, the boys were playing in the pool and a guest got angry when a squishy ball splashed he 2 timesr. She spoke to the boys in a threatening tone and after the staff heard her side, police were called and the entire team (even if they were not present) was asked to leave the hotel. Totally blown out of proportion but we were never allowed to give our side of the event. Horrible Horrible experience. Got billed for both nights by the way. If I could give zero stars I would.

Dear Mr. Marriott, On Sunday July 7, 2013 I checked in at your fine establishment at the Fairfield & Suites Marriott in Portsmouth Exeter N.H.Your Employees where kind and curtios as I checked in. I stayed for approximately 2 minutes when I received an emergency phone called that I was very up set and had to leave immediately. I asked for a refund and was flatly denied . I also called your headquarters and they would look in to it and again was flatly denied. I would just like to thank you for your customer care that the customers in your policy should always come first and win! This time this customer didn't receive the customer care she deserved.It's a shame of this out come that my friends and family will never return to your establishment.
got shot at hotel
i stayed at fairfield inn mariot in houston tx katy freeway on the 28 day of june 2013. I got robbed and shot when i went down the hall to get ice. the front desk and security were rude to me and did not even care or try to help me. i came back to hotel with bullet still in my leg in alot of pain. around five a m and they made me leave the hotel. i payed for my room. did nothing wrong and lost all my money my laptop and more. they had no concern at all for me.
Fairfield Inn and Suites, Washington DC
My reservation was originally from last Friday til Monday. I became sick Friday night and had to ck out noon Saturday. I was told I'd only be charged for one night, yet THREE charges were placed on my card. The original cost, (full stay), the actual cost (one night) and an additional $251 charge (don't why). Called hotel just to be told to wait until it kicks back to my account. MMeanwhile, I've incurred overdraft charges. NEVER, will I stay there again. I never should have been charged an additional amount. They got paid. I got jipped! My next move is Consumer Affairs and 7 on your side.
To Whom It May Concern: As it may be with your chain of hotels, professionalism should pertain to all aspects of your business. It is not appropriate to make an advertisement and then not honor it. I had proof of a lower rate and you simply swept it under the rug. From the Principal's office!
