Don't bother complaining: LS doesn't answer complaints!
I went into Les Schwab(Renton, WA)on 05/17/11 to have a couple of tires replaced with new ones tires. Les Schwab purchases (tires) already on vehicle at no charge. Instead quoted over $500.00 dollars. After returning later that day to find out the tires were replaced with used tires that a customer purchase and returned after 10 days. Manager & employee tired to justify why the used tires was put on my my vehicle, after I had already paid. Manager mentioned that past due on my account had to be wrote off, during the time I was sick. Your company decided to work with me on the account, so why slap it back in my face, if you made the decision to work with the customer. But this has nothing to do with what I'm paying for in(Cash) as of yesterday. "What kind of B.S. does the account have to do with doing the right thing on behalf of the customer request for NEW tires to be put on the car, not used tires. But you treat your loyal, paying customer like the rag you wipe your hands with. We are all paying customers and we bring the business in......So treat us the way you would like to be treated when you need service at any establised busines.... "What you done to me, and others is already done to you. Lying to people to get over will never benefit you, it's only a matter of time, you will get dupe $$$. Bad business brings bad reveiws, conflict, & alerts BBB. Report your cause. No need to recommend, or do business with Les Schwab ever again........My personal rating, NO Stars.
Continue,I was in your Renton, WA Les Schwab on 5/17/11 for new tires and used tires were put on my car. I went out and looked at my car went back in to question it, Manager, (Steve) then called employee who put the used tires on my car. He was rude and disrespectful, "He said to me, I don't have to convince you that the tires are NEW!!! but they were used, Manager (Steve) confirmed tires were used. There is NO way, customers should be treated in this manner regarding purchases made. If it NEW you want when you go into any business it's NEW you should get!!!!! BBB is all over this. Whatever happen with treating the customer with care so that their business will come back. It went right out the door, never to return. Les Schwab, educate you employees with better business ethics to keep your customers.
You know a company has poor customer service when you cant find a customer feedback link, number, or email address on their website. The best way to avoid unhappy customers is to make it difficult for them to tell you how they feel. This is not the same brand that I admired when I first opened my account in 1995. Take some lessons from other customer service Northwest greats... Starbucks, Nordstroms, or REI. They dont add surprise charges on your bill. They dont have you transfer accounts when you move and then reset your credit limit to a hundred dollars after years of good business. Learn a lesson, Les Schwabs - dont penalize a customer for moving stores. Costco just got alot more appealing.
i went to Les Schwab for a brake inspection because the brakes were making noise when i used them. they put it up in the air and checked the brakes and told me they were good. Two days later the grinding noise got louder. by the end of the week i inspected the brakes myself to find that the rear rotors had large grooves in them. The brakes were shot in the back. the brake pads and rotors were replaced. there was nothing left on the pads. Very disappointed. I have been changing my tires for mine, my wifes and two daughters cars for 20 years. I am rethinking this.
I took my car to the les schwab in evergreen montana to have my tires blanced and rotated that i bought brand new from them 3 years earlier. The guy came out and told me they could not blance and rotate my tires because they were worn on the inside and my aligment was off. I said my car drives perfectly stright down the road and those tires are not even 3 years old and have less then 20 thousand miles on them. He told all they could do is sell me two new tires for $275 and i said thats ridiclous considering i had goten a flat tire not even a year ago and that was 100 dollars! I told him i couldnt afford that right at this time. he brought my car out to me and i took off i noticed my car was slightly wobbley and was going to call them about it when i got home. i was around 3 miles away from there when they called me and told me i need to come stright back because they had forgot to Toruue my tires!!!!!!!!!!!! i came back down there irrate telling them my tires could have flowen off down the highway i had to drive to get there! I told the guy should be fires considering he's been there for 7 years! i called this moring and asked to a manjor and he informed me that some tire place dont even turque tires and that they could check my studs but he was sure they were fine. pretty much treating me like im dumb because of my age and im girl. i called my machinc who had looked at my tires an he called down there and talked to them. i went down there and they asked me was that your friend that called i said no it was my machinc.....they took my car back and when they brought it back out told me they gave me two free used half tread tires for the front of my car and my studs were fine. i again informed that guy should be fired! i will never ever let them touch my car again! i could have been in a serious wreck! they put my life in danger!!!!!!!!!!
On May 21,2011, I was headed to L.A. area to see my new granddaughter, only to walk out in the garage at 6:30am and find a nail in my tire. Upset cause ready to leave and couldn't, due to the tire and distance I had to drive. So, called the (fairly new) Les Schwab on Los Altos and they said the open at 7:30 and come on in. Due to my excitement to get to my new granddaughter, I was there at 7:15. Randy took me right in at that time and I was done by 7:30am, when they opened. Thanks for an amazing job and caring about people. Randy, Thanks again!!! She's (my new granddaughter) thanks you also. She's a beauty!!!
Last winter I went to Les Schwabs to have my anual tire switch over and was told by the employee who did the work, that I would need brakes in the near future and that I had about 25% left on the pads. When I took my car back a week ago, they told me that my breaks ha been eating into the rotors for awile and that it would cost about $850.00 to have all the rotors replaced and the breaks done. Had they told me the breaks were that bad last winter I would have had them fixed then and saved the cost of 4 rotors and the labor to install them. I have been dealing with Les Schwabs for about 35 years now and am not real happy about the way I was treated. Sincerely Mike B. P.S. the work was done one of the Les Schwabs in Boise, Idaho
I was driving home from Spokane Washington to Clayton Washington when a belt gave way in my tire. I drove to Les Schwab Tire in Deer Park, 7 miles from my home. The manager Nathan Green, came out to see if he could help. I told him that I am on welfare and did not have any money until that next monday... it was Friday... He took my car and put a loaner on it until that Monday. I came back on Monday, they did all the work, changed the tires on the car, balanced them, changed the valve stems, then put a spare tire on the spare tire rim for me at no extra cost. Thank you Nathan Green & Laddigo (Laddy) Scott. At the Les Schwab Tire in Deer Park WA. Sincerely,& greatfully yours KEVIN ASHING
My experience w les schwab up to this point has been good. But now my vehicle is broke down w driver side tires siezed. I was able to reach their 24hr customer line @ 1-888-579-2011. Not sure if this # is jus for Oregon.
Live in Central Oregon and when the winter snow season ended I took by SUV in to have the studded tires changed over to the regular tires. The tire employee proceeded to tell us that they couldn't remount our summer tires because under their policy, our tires didn't have enough tread on them to legally remount them on the original wheels. He said that the steel belts were "about ready" to pop through the tread. My husband had inspected them and the tires were just fine. The employee had to get approval from his supervisor before he could mount the summer tires, plus he had to give us a quote of approximately $800+ to replace our tires. What a bunch of crap! We told him we didn't have any money to purchase new tires and that if he couldn't put the summer tires back on to just put the studs back on the wheels and we'd go somewhere else. Needless to say, they remounted the summer tires and we left and won't be back. What cheap and sleazy sales tactics! What is with Les Schwab?????? Anyone else get this same scam?
I have been a dedicated customer for almost 40 years with the purchase of ALL my tire needs for my entire family. Today I purchased my LAST tire from Les Schwab. For the past two years I have noticed a total change in customer service and policys of the organization...it is sad, Les is probably rolling in his grave...
I have bought alot of tires from Les Schwab in the past, mainly because of the service and the attidude of your empolyees, but I won't anymore recently I called your store in Reno On Oddie blvd. I needed a service truck to came change a tire on my motorhome the first time I called @ 4:00 pm he didn't want to come out because it was getting late in the day, then I called back later in the week, he told me the price, I told him to bill my insurance and he said I am billing you, you can deal with the insurance company. He was rude and unprofesinal.
Les Schwab robs people! I've bought several sets of tires from them and EVERY time they told my wife that our truck needed new brakes as they are unsafe, I check the brakes every time and they are perfectly fine, just today I sent my wife in with our pickup to make sure the wheels were balsanced properly as we had some vibration, she left there with a quote for $1600 in her hand and no answer about the tires being balanced or not, they informed her that the truck was unsafe to drive, the tie rods, ball joints and brakes needed replaced ASAP! She immediately drove the truck a mile down the road to our usual mechanic who informed us our front end was in perfect shape and that it was actually a u-joint in the REAR driveline that was causing the vibration! We would have spent $1600 at Les Schwab and nothing would have been solved, they are thieves who seem to enjoy trying to take advantage of women and those who seem to not be very knowledgeable about such things, ALWAYS GET A SECOND OPINION! I will NEVER give Les Schwab another penny of my hard earned money!
I hear that Les Schwab will come back from the dead to go after those who have ruined his company and his reputation, no joke.
Today is Saturday, I had Brand New Tires put on my Daughters Car on Wednesday. The Assistant Manager at the Yreka Les Schwab Store was not very friendly when I asked him to check to see if the tires I had on the car were still good, I also told him we bought the tires in Medford Oregon. After I said Medford Oregon he had this horrible look on his face and told me there is no way he can check to see the date I bought the tires which cost my daughter $1,000.00 for two new tires and 2 used tires. Well my daughter decided to get four new tires at the Yreka California Store, so I told the Assistant Manager she would like 4 new tires, that put a smile on his face. I came back to get the the car aligned the next day. When I drove the car on the freeway the car just vibranted at 50 miles per hour. My daughter brought it back on Saturday, 4 days later to check the tires and etc. The same person that sold me the first set of tires said this set that he just sold my daughter was a better fit for the car. EXPLAIN THAT TO ME!!! Plus he doesn't know why the car vibrants even though the car never vibrated before the new set of tires. YOU CAN BE SURE I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THE YREKA, CALIFORNIA LES SCHWAB ANYMORE.
I know of a couple of people who have purchased new tires from Les Schwab and have had a wheel come off due to lug nuts not being tightened down. That is plain scary. Unacceptable from a tire shop. I am sitting here laughing at some of these ridiculous complaints, I have to admit. People complaining about things that are clearly not Les Schwabs fault, and there are a lot of them. Don't believe everything you read in a customers complaint. Ignorance seems to be rampant here...I will continue to buy my tires at Les Schwab. I will be sure to check my lug nuts before I leave, but come on, folks, a brake light coming on is the fault of the repair shop? Not so much...if you knew the dummy light was on, you should have told them. A flat tire their fault? No way! A policy that is in place to protect BOTH the tire shop AND the customer...hardly their fault. In that case, I'm sure there would have been a complaint saying it was Les Schwab's fault had they done the brake inspection, put your unsafe tires back on, then had a blow out driving down the road. Just reading the complaints with the poor spelling and poor grammar is enough to paint the picture of the ignorance and lack of intelligence some folks are displaying here. Just my two cents...and I will be buying a set of 5 Toyos for my Jeep tomorrow...from Les Schwab!!!
I'm only repeating what many, many former Les Schwab customers are saying: "WHAT HAPPENED TO LES SCHWAB?" I'll go to Discount Tires from now on. Not because they're close to my home, but because they give excellent service - the way Les Schwab used to. Something has gone terribly wrong and it's very sad.
I have been buying tires from the local Les Schwab Tire Center here in Oak Harbor, WA for the past 20 years. I have never had a bad experience in fact just last week I had them replace the TPMS sensors in all four of my wheels. I came in late and they stayed and finished an hour after they were suppose to close at 6:00 PM. I can't commend Shane, Kenny, Mike and the whole crew enough. They set the bar in this town on what customer service is supposed to be. And they are the only ones I trust with my 2008 ZO6 Corvette. I'm really surprised at the dissatisfied posts I see above. All I can say is that they need to visit the Oak Harbor store. Please pass along my sincere thanks for a job well done. Dave (360) 679-1530
Watch for the (bait n' switch) They say there is no charge for flat repair, and then once they have your keys its $13. Also they said that included mounting and balancing, but they only mounted. NO BALANCING which was obvious when I got on the free way I could also find no " balancing weights " on the in or out side of the rim. The time was also estimated at 45 min. 2 hrs. later nothing had happened. My experience was VERY POOR!!!!!!!!!!
