A few months ago, I bought some tires from the store in Newport, OR. I was told that I needed to have my car aligned so I made an appointment. I took the car in and the mechanic came out and told me that my car needed new wheel bearings and that would cost me over $300 (including the alignment) I told him I didn't have that kind of money right now so it was going to have to wait. A few weeks later, I smelled something in my front wheel. We had the car towed to our mechanic in Waldport. He replaced the calipers and told me that there was nothing wrong at all with the wheel bearings. I was very upset that Les Schawb tried to pull something like this on a senior, on a fixed income. I have bought my tires from them for years but I will no longer do business with them. The worse part is that I wrote a letter to the owner/manager with the complaint and I never heard one word back from them, not an I'm sorry it happened or go piss up a rope.

I have to say - best service I have ever received. Not sure where these folks are going!

I have purchased tires for the passed ten years from les schwab tires at the sparks, nv praterway location have had very good service until today went in for a tire repair on a new truck and got the wrong man at the counter and I use the word man very sparingly, he wasn't I have seen him miss treat customers be for on at least two occations and said to myself he wouldn't treat me that way and now I won't be back at that location, I hope you see this bryan

Les Schwab needs to be investigated by the Better Business Bureau and the news media. This automotive company not only misdiagnoses tire and brake issues, but they also create problems with customer's cars & trucks for profit. I am going to write a formal letter to this company and local news organizations--both newspapers and television outlets and I invite you to join me in this campaign. America has standards that apparently this company does not think that they need to follow. Les Schwab, you will be closing your doors nationwide in 12 months if your unethical practices are not corrected immediately. Guaranteed!

Here's my Les Schwab story. 6 of us were heading back from Yellowstone in my 38 ft. motor home when a upper radiator hose blew 5 miles outside of Rigby Idaho. We pulled over off the road and checked out the situation. It was hopeless to fix. I called five or more so called service stations and garages and no one would lift a finger to help us. I even offered to pay triple just to come out with a few tools that we needed to get the hose off. I already had a spare new hose on me. Just needed a small extention. Out of desperation and trying to get it off with what we had I called Les. Just maybe they would help. Called and talked with the receptionist and told her our troubles. She said that they would come out and help but there would be a $50 service charge. No problem. The young man showed up moments later but with only a few tools. None of which would help. I asked could you take us to a Napa store? You bet hop in. So away we went. Was able to get the tools needed and fluid. Got back and I told the young man I needed to pay the $50 bucks for the service charge. He had to call for billing and when he got off the phone he said NO CHARGE. Have a great rest of your trip. I can not tell you how I felt. It wasn't the money it was the service and the kindness to help someone. I have always had Schwab tires and the motor home has 6 of them right now. I will never go anywhere else and neither will my two kids. That's my Les Schwab story and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping us and getting us back on the road.

Just like to say don't but a les schwab battery!!! The pro rate is only good a receipt nevermind the fact that it is a les schwab battery and all my tires have been bought there. Chris (122nd & division, portland or) tries to tell me if you buy a samsung at best buy will best buy warranty it. Wtf is that supposed to mean? This battery has Les Schwab all over the F**kin thing. Are you trynna call me stupid. I just wanted the pro rate on a 5 yr warranty battery, they told me it was installed in 01/09 and when it comes to replace it's like I'm speaking a foreign language. I hope your happy I will no longer do service with les schwab and do my best to make sure anyone and everyone I know will not use your company. I will make sure the chain of dealerships I manage will opt to a different company as well. Talk to me as if I'm a valued customer like you claim in your lying commercials and things might have been different.

TO ALL POSTERS ON THIS SIGHT...................... If you need to file a complaint with Schwab you need to call headquarters directly to complain. They do not have an e-mail mailbox for complaints. Here is the direct number to headquarters....1(541)447-4136 The reason why I know this is because I just filed a complaint with headquarters about the lack of service/communication (cahrging for balancing & valve stems when it was not done) from the Vacaville, CA store.

Well, I see I'm not the only one, that's been a longtime satisfied customer. Until The Good owner died. Now they've to heel in a hand basket. I go to the Orego City store. They have a bunch of liers there, A manager that stands behind his lieing employees. I went in and had new tires put on my truck and askedthem to check my brakes to. I was standing right there whatching him, he never pulled the drums off, when I asked if they checked the brakes, I was told yes. I talked with the manager,he backed his employee. I called corporate, they did the same. I thought I'd give Les Schwab, another chance. That doesn't work either. This past weekend I bought some new wheels for my truck, I got a block away when I noticed my low pressure warning light was on. I went back, and spent another half hour there as there read the repair manual to try to figure out how to turn the warning light out. The guy then checked the pressure, and told me that on the silverodos, the back wheels had to be at max pressure, in order for the warning light to go out. 80lbs. It didn't make since to me, so I rechecked my tire pressure, he sit them at 55lbs,the same as the front. My center caps rattle like crazy. I just can't figure out why the guy lied to me,why didn't he just say, they just didn't tell me,they got the pressure wrong, instead of telling me they had to be at 80lbs.

Took my 1994 Buick Roadmaster Estate Wagon to Les Schwab in West Valley City UT on Thurs. morning June 30, 2011. The rear brake line was leaking and the front reservoir drained, tripping the Brake Warning Light. Mechanic replaced the rear brake line, and bled brakes. Unfortunately my Brake warning light was still on,as proportioning valve plunger wouldn't re-set. Mechanic attempted to call around to get a used valve from a local junkyard, with an unknown donor 1992 Buick, as no new parts could be located on a Fri aft. After sitting in shop over the long 3 day Holiday Wknd. I returned to Les Schwab Mon. aft at 3P, only to find "used" part had arrived but wasn't installed. At this point, after doing internet research over the wknd, and finding the 1992 donor part wasn't correct part no, I asked for my car keys and left, after paying labor of $90/hr for 2 hrs.plus lines & couplings, and driving home with only front brakes, and warning light on. When I placed car on ramps at my home, I discover the "old, rusty" brake line was never removed, nor was the new brake line secured back in the original, plastic clips!.My rear brake line was haphazardly shoved along old brake line with no attempt to secure properly, rubbing metal to metal with other car parts, and just hanging in mid air! Now I know why new line was never bent properly to match orig. line(That takes time). Plus grease found on interior carpeting, new RR white walls,(grease from prolly driving onto floor lift)plus greasy fingerprints on hood & chrome grille. If this mechanic was ASE Certified in Brakes, It makes one wonder? Please think twice about Les Schwab hydraulic brake work. And ask for the old parts back! At least inspect your vehicle (on the lift) before you pay the bill! Just another case of Mr Hurry Up Mechanic moving on to the next Brake Job! End of Rant.

I own an automotive repair shop and have been in business for over 32 years. In that time I have seen several bone head diagnosis and down right stupid stories come from angry Les Schwab customers who came to me to get the problem corrected. This time it concerns me and I can't take it anymore. My shop replaced the front shocks and springs on an 1988 Mercedes Benz that someone had drasticaly lowered. While doing the job we noted that all the adjustment points were out to their maximum so we knew that the alignment was way off. Also noted on the first test drive was that the steering wheel was off center and the tires felt like they were out of balance. I sublet the four wheel alignment, center the steering wheel and balance all four tires to Les Schwab in Keizer Oregon since my usual alingment shop was booked and my customer needed her car ASAP. When I arrived to pick the car up I was handed the Warranty information and charged $85.00 and also handed an estimate saying that she needed two front tires because the belts were shifted. No problem I thought, I will tell my customer about it. My assistant picked up the car and drove it back to my shop where my customer was waiting. She hopped into it and drove away thinking all was ok. NOT!! When I showed up my mechanic told me that the steering wheel was still off center on the way home! This was one of the things I even saw in red on the work order! How brain dead can a mechanic be. I called the Keizer store and asked for the service manager. When he answered I explained my problem. He told me that they didn't even align the car because the front tires are bad. I asked why no call or just rotate front to back? All four tires are the same size. "We don't do that" he responded! Hmmm, so you did absolutely nothing to my car? Nope. Then why did your service writer just charge me $85.00 and give me a nice warranty package? It's quite obvious to me that the back of the shop doesn't know what the front is doing. He treated me like it was my problem and offered to give me my money back. Mighty big of him since they did in fact just commit a crime. They didn't even offer to call my customer and explain their screw up. No matter, I wouldn't want those snakes to talk to my loyal customers. It was my mistake to ever take it to them in the first place. I called my customer, arrainged to pick up her car and take it to my trusted alignment shop and returned it to her. NO CHARGE. While at the alignment shop several other mechanics and myself carefully looked over her tires and all agreed that they had another 20.000 miles on them and nothing was wrong except two were out of balance. Funny. Pass this on.

I purchase tires for my truck a few months ago and i got a flat tire went to the store in woodland ca they patched my tire but the hole was in the side wall of the tire. and i asked how can you do that i was told it was OK. i do not feel safe driving on this tire.

Les schwab in north city seattle WA is full of crooked personnel should have known when one of there dumb employees damaged my moms car and after several months they still wouldn't fix her car so I found a purchased the part and didn't charge them for the labor to put it in then we made a deal to do rear brakes and complete rear drum brakes on my blazer they called back said all done I didn't make it 40 miles when the rear brake job broke free and dammaged everything inside rear drum including the drum after spending 3 to 4 hundred in tow bills and another. 4 to 5 in parts to fix what they s didn't do they didn't do anything inside the drum the old hardweare broke and shoes named under the axel now I only wanted the price of the brake job back that's all I purchased parts localy thu a shop now I've done buisness with lesschwab for 25 years my dad at least 20 im done lesscwab has made a federal case when they are at fault and I wasn't requesting anymore than the brake job that they didn't do so if the mess up your equipment demand its taken care of up front and done right away they will always figure out a way to s few you out of what's due you ever time so find another tire store no one should be screwed over by les schwab when there at fault

Last October I purchased a set of brand new, all-seasons for my 2006 Tuscon. Yesterday I had a flat. Was told that my tires were all "balled" and that it was a wonder I had not blown out a tire on the highway. I came in to Les Schwab today thinking I would at the very least get a new set of tires as the ones I had just bought should have lasted me more than 1 1/2 years. I was told initially that for almost $300 I could purchase new tires again & keep what was left on the warranty (30,000) of the $700 tires I had bought a year ago. I do not have $300 in my bank account to allow me the freedom to just do that. I was then offered a used set of tires "THAT ARE JUST AS GOOD IF NOT BETTER". The ones I bought a year ago should have been "better" as they were brand new. Well what I want to know is this, am I going to have to turn around and buy new tires again in a year? I have had tires that have lasted me five years without getting balled. I live in a small town in Northern Idaho and drive roughly 50 mi. daily to & from work. My tires have always lasted longer than a year and a half. These should have lasted longer. It is a breach of warranty as far as I'm concerned. I live in a small community, work for the county and there are only 2 tires centers besides the WalMart store and more than half of the employees where I work use Les Schwab. I have read some of the above complaints and I hope that as of this emailing they have been responded to because as of right now, it does not look like they have. It is disheartening, I am on a single income love my community and have always supported it and the businesses that are here in Sandpoint, Idaho and will continue to do so however I will no longer patronize the Les Schwab in Ponderay, Idaho or any other city or town.

HERE IS MY LES SCHWAB STORY: On June 6, 2011, we were traveling from Redding California to Sacramento California after a long vacation and just wanted to get home when we got a flat tire on our boat trailer near Woodland California. We had six people in the vehicle, including an high energy 1 1/2 year old, and two other small children and stuck on the side of the highway (I-5). My husband unhooked the boat trailer and started his journey to find a boat trailer tire. After over an hour of searching, he was unable to find the tire, in that the "other tire stores" did not carry them. Plan B was to have the trailer towed home by AAA. However, it was going to be a two hour wait and that still would not have fixed the tire problem, and the fact that all 6 of us would not have fit in the tow vehicle. FINALLY, we decided to call Les Schwab (joking about people having a "Les Schwab story" and thinking, "Could we have one one too?"). The time was now approaching 5:00 and we were getting desperate and better do something quick before all the shops were closed. So, I called the Les Schwab store in Woodland and spoke to Clint. Clint had TWO different types of tires in stock. Client sent Jose out to our rescue with both tires, giving us the option of picking which tire we wanted, not just sticking us with the most expensive one. Jose arrived in minutes, changed the tire, and we were on our way within an hour. We were beyond thrilled and could not thank Jose enough. Jose and Clint were so very nice and professional. We could not have asked for better, quicker, or friendlier service. Les Schwab has earned my business for life. NOW, WE HAVE OUR OWN LES SCHWAB STORY!

I bought tires for one of my cars may 21st at les schwab store on south virginia in reno n.v.. picked up my car so I could drive it over the holiday weekend. Left my truck there in the parking lot. Over the weekend my father passed away and i had to fly to europe for the funeral. totally forgot about my blazer at les schwab. came back from europe to find a text message from a friend of mine that he saw my blazer getting towed. i called the manager rick and he told me the truck looked abandoned and yes he had it towed.he told me the licence plates did not even match my vehicle which is crazy.i just called the towing company and they want $600.- to get my truck out. i do not have $600.- so i just lost my truck . thanks rick butthead and thanks for hanging up on me too. i will tell hundreds and hundreds of people about this to make sure you will lose some kind of business over this.if i could rate this kind of service -5 i would .

I have been a customer of Less Schwab Tire for over 10 years. We spend a lot of money on tires, rims, brakes, you name it... We have 6 vehicles that all need tires ect... This is the second time in less than a year that Less Schwab of Port Townsend, WA has let me down. The first was driving to OR doing about 50mph and having the drivers rear tire come off the lifted GMC and travel 6 lanes of I-5 traffic. Thank God neither one of my children were injured. Now, I have ordered a new set of rims and tires for my chevy and it has been 5 weeks and 5 days. Everytime I call to ask if they have come in yet, they keep promising me I will have them by friday. Friday comes along... No rims. I have been waiting for over 5 weeks for 2 rims. I know Less Schwab has done their part by ordering them, however, if you are going to use an outside company I believe it is your job to make sure they do THIER job for your customer. This is the second time I have concidered taking my vehicles elsewhere. Im not a happy. I am down to 1 vehicle and waiting this long for 2 rims is not acceptable.

a few years ago before my wife and i went on vacation we had our tires rotated and brakes checked. Les Schwab in Tumwater didn't check brakes but told us they were fine. It cost me nearly $700 to have rotors turned and new brakes while on the road. Manager was very apologetic and blamed his "new and untrained" staff. Then I had trouble with Les Schwab's top of the line batteries. Manager told me the battery was OK and seemed to blame me. I got a new battery that didn't hold a charge and manager again suggested I was doing something wrong, but after argument replaced the battery. Now I just had a tread come off with about 1/2 tread life remaining. Tire looked OK to me, but the store told me it was because I needed new shocks or was not driving properly. Tire looked OK to me, but I bought another tire. When i got home I found they forgot to put hub cap back on...another long trip to the Les Schwab tire store. Over the years I have spent thousands and thousands of dollars at Schwab. I am 67 years old and have an ideas when a tread is wearing unevenly or a battery is not holding a charge. Why treat me rudely or act defensive when they forget to replace hub cap. (How the heck do you forget a hub cap, anyway?) I am not pleased with Les Schwab in Tumwater Washington. i think for my next set of tires I will go to another dealer.

My story begins at the West Valley City Store in Utah. I have been a loyale customer of Les Schwab for a number of years and up till now have experienced great prices and service. This is my second visit to this location and the second time I feel like the staff of this store did every thing they could to rip me off. My first visit was for a simple tire rotation. After a long wait the mechanic came in to inform me that my brakes needed to be replaced because currently they were below the state minimum thickness to pass a safety inspection. The solution was to replace both front rotors, and pads, both rear brake drums and to replace the brake fluid. Almost 600.00 worth of parts and labor. My vehicle only had 25,000 miles on it. I realize that having been a mechanic for 15 years in my previous career that it was possible. However when I went back in the shop with him I noticed that there was 3/4 of pad and shoe life left on my brakes, the guy was completely trying to pull one over on me. Today I came in foolishly to this location with a flat tire thinking they could maybe just put a patch on it for me without ripping me off. I am unhappy to report that not only was I waiting for almost 2 hours, but they managed to break one of the studs in my wheel with there air gun and wanted to reshedule me for another day when they could charge me to fix their mistake. The best part was when they told me a needed new shocks and struts and they could do those at the same time for me. The problem was I just had shocks and struts replaced 2 months prior at another shop. I pleasantly informed them of this and miraculously they were able to repair my stud and tire in 20 min and get me out the door. What a joke! A really hope someone from Les Scwab reads this and investigates this before more people get ripped off. These people should be terminated and this problem fixed. I have had good luck with another Les Scwab store so I'll probably go to them, but I certainly won't be back to this rip off station.

I have owned 8 cars and only Les Schwab puts tires on my car. This last round about with tires for my ML430 4x4 I was told I needed 2 front tires but that they do not make the old tire I would have to purchase 4 new tires to match and that I also needed a 4x4 alingment the N. Seattle store on 99 said I needed the alingement to fix the wearing problem on my front tires. I asked will that make my tires last longer? The guy said yes that I would get the full life from them. 14,000 miles later out of 60,000 the front tires are warn out on the inside and I took it back to the same Les Schwab and was told I must of hit something and the car is out of alingment. I told him NO I did not hit anything and I wanted them to stand behind their word. Hi told me it will be another $450 for tires and $89.00 for the alingment. So I took my car to my Mercedes dealer to ask the shop why the car was wearing out the front tires. he told me I needed an alingment. REALLY? Stand behind your products. I think it's shameful that you'er not taking care of your customers any longer. Shame on you.

i just whant to say the manager in lake stevens is very un professional ferst he put the wrong tires on my truck and told me that thay cost more and asked if i would split the def. at this point the tires were on the truck like i have time to sit there and wate for them totake the tires off and put the right tires on and than thay dont have the right hub caps so thay say come back thursday and thay will be there granted i work 10 hour days in 3 days i lost 300.00 in OT and i still dont hava my hub caps yet and its been over a week iif my tires arent compleet by 6/1/2011 i will take them off my truck and give them back. thanh u very much LEWIS E GENTRY
