Les Schwab has really declined over the years. You get a small amount of beef any more and Costco has better prices and the same free rotations and air checks. My mother inlaw got new tires from Les Schwab and they forgot to tighten the lugs on one tire - could have had a serious accident!!! They bid us and tried to overcharge 1500 for stuff that needed to be done before they could do an alignment - took it to Jim Bacon Tires and they said nonsense!! It didn't even need an alignment! It was a tire problem. Easy fix.
Les schwab in la grande Oregon, I am very dissapointed with the services I have been getting from here. One day I had a flat so they came and put a new tire on my car at the local tire center, about a week later I slammed my brakes and my tire nearly came off my rim, again I made a service call and they showed up reset it and told me good to go. A few days later another flat and another service call this time they didn't show up I waited to hours still no show, I called and filed a complaint. Then today 11/18/11to my surprise another flat tire..... another service call and another no show.... I called the headquarters and they said "its because the season and I need to take my car to my local les schwab." How can you with a flat??? So my story ends with my car in the driveway flat. Once I pay my tires off u am closing my account.
LES SCHWAB F****D ME IN THE A$$ WITHOUT ANY LUBE. my tires were still under warranty (30,000 mile warranty; my mileage:17,000), and I had a blow out on the rear passenger side. They told me they would try and find a used tire with similar tread, or I could get new tires in which they would credit me $75 for each tire(I paid $175 original price; current price is $200) . They kept saying I just had a road hazards warranty when in fact I did have a 30,000 mile warranty. I was told my car just "goes through tires fast because it was a SUBARU", and if your car is all wheel drive then you better bend over and brace yourself for an unauthorized anal entry. LES SCHAB on 12th in Ogden,UT, WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. Dave Henry should be embarrassed of his employees, especially T.J. Atwood and Brent Riggs. Needless to say, LES SCHWAB TIES, you have lost a customer for life.
I am a disabled veteran and about 6 months ago got a car that needed new,so I called Les Schwab in Poulsbo,WA and asked for spacific tires for my car and was told that they diden't have them and that they were on the way and would be on the morning delivery truck,so the next day I called and asked about the tires and was told that they were in so I drove the car there to buy them and was told they diden't come in,and I explained that I was told they were in,to make a long story short I was forced to buy a set of smaller sized tire then I wanted, because I could not drive any farther to get what I wanted safely,I will no longer do buisness with Less Schwab Tires. I wonder how much they pay those people to make those comercials. NOT HAPPY>
I recently went to a Les schwab in Centralia Washington state told them I had a shake in my tires and would like them to rotate and balance my tires. They told me it would cost me money even tho it was their tires. They asked me if I bought the tires. I told them I recently Bought the truck and the tires where on it and I had the receipt from the previously owner who purchased them at Les swab. They told me it was still going to cost me.I took it to another Les Schwab they put it on the lift was going to rotate my tires and found out the tires were not the reason it had a shake. The Brakes were metal to metal no pads left rotors were very bad and 1 caliper not working wright. That Les schwab did all that free of charge.Needless to say the Les schwab in Centralia Washington Lost my Business and has poor service!
I recently was told by the technician in your faclity in Corvallis Oregon (9th street store)that the front end of my mid 90's suburban needed a complete set of ball joints, control arm bushings, and a new Pittman arm. Since I have been working on my own vehicles for most of my life and had never doubted the service I recieved in the past, I elected to get the Pittman arm replaced(if it fails, I can't steer) and ordered the parts I would need to effect the rapairs myself. The summary of this story is that I was unable to find ANY wear in the front end components at all. To double check my assessment, I had another mechanic with 30 years of experience check the front end with the same outcome I had observed. I know that humans make mistakes and I am willing to listen to reason as far as resolving this matter is concerned, but what is unconcienable about this situation is, that when I approached the manager, he suggested that my mechanic was wrong and invited me to write a letter to your headquarters and see what it got me. I have traded with your company for 20+ years and up until this point, was a staunch supporter. I am notifing you that I will no longer trade at any of your stores, I will tell the considerable number of LS customers I know this story, and will persue every legal channel I can to insure that customers of your company avoid becoming victims. I am following your store manager's advice but I promise you this situation is far from resolved.
Our son Sean Mulvihill has been waiting for 3 months for his tires to come in from Les Schwab on Union Ave in Renton, paid the balance, including siping. He had paid on his credit card and kept being told these tires had to be special ordered, and shouldn't be any problem. But we came to find out that they wouldn't be able to get the tires after all. At that time, Sean opted to find another place, Truck Performace, that might be able to get his tires. They responded in 3 days, and have his tires ready now. But now Les Schwab is telling our son that it will take up to 1 week or 2 for a credit back on his credit card. So until the credit is reimbursed back to his account, he can't go to get and pay for his tires at Truck Performance. I have never heard of any credits taking that long for reimbursement. We have been customers of Les Schwab for over 20 years, and have just purchased our own tires and wheels from Les Schwab, and haven't had any major issues until now.
Recently i was traveling and was in the Redmond Oregon area, I found a large screw in my passenger side front tire. Having a 5 hour drive the next day,(sunday) I found the LesScwab store and went in for my repair. They advised me they were closing and when i asked if they could help me since i was traveling and had a long drive they said NO ! Instead of them come running to help like they advertised, they ran away. THey should have to pull there adds off tv for falls advertising. Thank you Redmond WalMart for your great customersevive and a job well done at closing time. SCWAB SUCKS !!!!
9/28/2011 I am writing to tell LES SCHWAB Corporation that I am appalled at what Les Schwab Corp representatives, has done to my Son. First off he has worked hard and faithfully for your Company and was severely injured on the Job. In the mean time he was similarly fired by a supervisor who had no business in my humble opinion in being a Manager. Then rehired over a year ago by a differant LesSchwab Store. Now I just recently found out that he was accused of having failed a Random UA Test. I can vouch for my Son's Integrity and honestly in this matter. So now with over 12+ years of various UA Screens with no failures he now has failed a Random UA test. So your Company still owes him Monies due him from being injured while asked to use an Unsafe Piece of Equipment. So now that he is BLIND in one eye along with other Complications, Somehow my Son now mysteriously fails a random UA. I would like to talk to someone who has some horsepower before I call in my Corporate Council. RPenrod
A week ago I took my ford escape into the les schwab in caldwell id. with a complaint of my steer tires wearing and the right steer tire loosing air. When my wife picked it up she was told that the alignment was fine and the problem was that we werent watching the tire air pressure, also that she was making too many left turns. They didnt even rotate the worn tires to the rear, they left the worn tires on the steer axle.I had to be back in Cresent Valley Nev. the next day so I take it back with me. What do know, when I get there the tire is low again. And Im 40 miles from the nearest air. I work my week and get my friend to bring his service truck out and air my tire up. I get back to Caldwell, tire is low again. I take it to the Nampa Id. store and what do they find but a screw in my right tire.133.00 later I got a new tire.If the Caldwell store had done thier job the tire could have been saved.
drove into les schwab in antelope,ca on thursday sept 22 with a flat tire. i am a 58 year old woman, it was about 7 pm but everyone was still inside, when i went in. at no time would anyone help me - they said i could make a appt for tomorrow. what was i suppose to do sit in the parking lot with a flat tire all night. as i sat outside and it was getting dark, everyone got in there cars to go home - no one would even look my way. customer service, i would have to say is not in your hand book to your employees. when i did finally get my donut tire on my car - i drove straight to pep boys and got new tires put on my car. I am not a les schwab customer anymore.
I purchased tires from you Emmett, Idaho store; they rushed to get me out the door. Minutes later as I am going home the balance weights started falling off all the tires and there is a constant noise coming from one of the tires. That noise turned out to be weights left inside the tire itself. All this was finally topped off one of your Store Managers that thought my predicament was hilarious, I am glad that I was able to provide some humor for employees. My family and I sure didn’t find it funny as well as the time wasted because your employees can not be count on to do it right the first time! As far as your commercials and promotions go they’re a bunch of crap and lies! Two things that do relate to Les Schwab are low quality work and lack of professionalism. You have lost a customer and I guarantee that I will tell my story and send people to Big O Tires! Sincerely, Jonathan D. Bowlin jonathan.d.bowlin@us.army.mil
Not impressed with their line and promises of good service. But I will give them this much they make some great popcorn, as for the tire business, stick to what you do best and that is making popcorn. If you want Popcorn they can't be beat but if you want good honest service and value, go somewhere else. I sure well send people else where!
I was in Pendleton Oregon today and I got a flat tire.. I had no jack or tire Iron and no money, and I had my friend and his 5 month old baby and my five year old son with me, they put my spare on for free and the customer service they gave me was bad ass.. Those guys were so good up there.. My hats off to Rob, the manager up there at the Pendleton Oregon store.. I will do all of my tire shopping there from now on..
I took our Mazda to Schwabs to have the drives side CV Joint replaced. They quoted me just under $250 for part and installation.. My Mazda had three CV option to choose from but not knowing which one fit they ordered all three to make sure they got the right one. Hours after dropping of the Mazda they call and said to was done... I was told it might take up to 2 day to get it fixed.. GREAT JOB Schwabs I will be back...
Hazel Dell, Vancouver, WA. My son went in to get a flat tire taken care of and was told the tire could not be salvaged and that he needed all new tires. I had given him a blank check as I did not know what the repair would cost. It was almost closing time and the person helping him told him they would have time to do it and steered him toward the expensive tires. My son called me and as I am no tire expert, asked him to call his dad at work. My husband could not take the call, and as my son was under the impression it would be dangerous for him to drive on the tires he had, told them to put them on. We went in thinking it would be around $20, and my son wrote a check for $750. When he called me, I drove right down and told the manager to take the tires off immediately and that I wanted my check back. I did not see it, but my son's girlfriend said she saw the guy throwing things around in his office after he talked to me. FYI, I was calm, polite and apologized for the inconvenience, but also said I did not appreciate them using scare tactics and pressure on a 19 year old kid. Absolute disgust, and NEVER will we do business with Les Schwab again.
I had a brake job done by Les Schwab in Chico, Ca. about a year and a half ago. When I applied the brakes it sounded like metal was rubbing on metal, so I took the Honda van back to Les Schwab. In fact, I took it back 5 times during the next year and a half, and they still didn't fix the problem. So then I took it somewhere else and they resurfaced the rotors and sanded the brake pads. They bascially did the job correctly and the problem was solved. Les Schwab has not only lost a long time customer, but I encourage people to go elsewhere for their brake needs.
Thank for doing an alleinment on ( grampa) my 78 aspen wagon shortly befor the store closed. Jb(Pullman, WA Tech) dialed in the vehicles tracking with lazer precission. I can always depend on The crew at L.S. to get the job done correctly.
Les Schwab has to be the worst place in the world to take your car or truck to get serviced at. I just brought my 02 gmc sierra there to get the brakes checked. They said that my rear brakes needed to be replaced on both sides and it was going to be just shy of $800.00 I took it right down the road to a local owned repair shop and they did it for $377.29. Les Schwab sucks and they have the worst customer service I have ever had in my 22 years of driving. My recommendation to all driver is when you see a Les Schwab and you need service to your vehicle keep on driving to the the next town dont even humor the thought of getting it done there. Les Schwab can go to hell.
For Les Schwab, "Doing the Right Thing Since 1952" ??????? How can you claim that??? Les Schwab has lost the Christmas Spirit, and did the wrong thing in treating an employee for many years with his Christmas present of being FIRED!!! Yes folks, on Dec. 10th Corp. office fired one of their best employees for helping 2 neighbors fix their car. He did not charge the neighbors for the work, as they were both financially stressed. He purchased the parts from Les Schwab, which was against the rule. They called him Dec. 10th and said he was FIRED and would not get this years bonus, loose his insurance and retirement. Les Schwab has become the Grinch who Stole Christmas !!!!! This is unacceptable, and Les is now on Santa's "Bad List."
