WOW I can't believe all the one star ratings. Too bad they even one star. We purchased two new tires for our boat trailer after only 150 miles a side wall blew out. The person who came and replaced the tire said the tire was faulty and put on a new one. The wonderful les schwab dealership then charged our account $190.00 We will never again buy anything from this co.
I took my 2005 Dodge ram 2500 diesel into the Les Schwab in the Renton Highlands for front brakes, Immediately after the brake job there was a rattle/clanking from the front end, took it back, they worked on it, but the rattle/clanking kept coming back, 7 trips to 2 different stores, replaced calipers 3 times, pads 4 times, many many excuses, Finally was told warranty has expired, They would replace the brakes labor free, just PAY for the parts, B.S. , why would i have you do them again when you did not get it right the previous 7 times. Went to Firestone and told them to find and fix the problem, They found that the left caliper bolt was frozen inside the sleeve not allowing the caliper to become tight,(too much lock tight) only 3 threads were holding the bottom of the caliper on! I told them to get all the Les Schwab parts off my truck, So $750.00 later its now noise free, I will NEVER set foot in another Les Schwab !!! (This is the 2nd brake issue I have had with this store, they forgot to refill the brake +reservoir on my 2001 Ram after replacing the brakes)
I have been a loyal Les Schwab customer since I first began driving over forty years ago. I have felt that the customer service was superb and almost any Les Schwab I may have used, found that there was was honesty and integrity from their employees and in their policies. However in my hometown of Walla Walla Washington, I now have questions about my last experience. Recently I had a flat fixed and when it was finished, a young man told me my shocks were needing repair and that one was leaking badly. I said I would think about this issue and immediately took my car to the Conoco station where I have had work done on my car for the last three years. My mechanic tested the car for less than two minues and said my shocks were fine. I was quoted a $185.00 bill for the "repair" at Les Schwab. When looking for a mechanic I asked my Napa dealer who was honest in town and they recommended the mechanics at Conoco. These guys have never disappointed me and I do not feel I have ever been overcharged or had work recommended that was not necessary. Now the reputation that I believed was established between the customers and the Les Schwab corporation is suspect. The reputation of my Conoco mechanics was built on word of mouth. I can feel comfortable recommending them to my friends. however I am now telling my friends to be wary of Les Schwab. All it takes is one incident to damage a reputation and I just had mine last week. I may have to take my tire and battery, b
Last week after a flat was fixeed at the Les Schwab in Walla Walla, I was told that one of my shocks was leaking badly and both should be replaced to the tune of $185.00. I said that I would think about this and immediately took my car to my Conoco mechanics who I have been using for the past three years. They were recommended by the Napa store in town and as a single woman who is not very good with cars, I appreciated this referral. The guys at Conoco have never disappointed me, nor have they said my car needed work when it didn't or overcharged me. My mechanic told me my shocks were fine with less than a two minute inspection. What is one to think about Les Schwab? Have they changed policies and only care about the dollar and not their customer relations or reputation? In the past I have had great service from Les Schwab, but I needed to leave this review for it has caused me to think I may have to take my tire, battery and brake business elsewhere. One incident can create a loss of trust and finally my business, for I must warn my friends that our local Les Schwab may have lost the integrity and trust that was established over many years.
I went to the Sweet Home Retail store, where I purchased my tires, for a routine flat repair. No problems with the repair, wait time, or service, until I went to leave. The cashier who was about to print up the work order wanted me to sign an electronic signature pad. What am I signing I ask? The response was that I got a flat repair. I further pursued my questioning about what I was signing, wondering why I was signing this "Blank Check" without being able to know what my signature was attached to. Oh no, just a flat repair the cashier responded. Upon receiving my receipt I see a disclosure, I was never presented, with my signature attached! I comment to the cashier, "I get the disclosure presented to me after I signed it?" Yep, he responded. The disclosure reads "... I have read..." The Les Schwab trained liar, attempted to make a liar out of me as well. By publishing this event that happened on Aug. 2, 2012 all Les Schwab disclosure statements signed via electronic signature are nil and void!
Took my 78 dodge truck into schwab after i rebuilt the whole front end and told them to have an alighnment done on it and tighten or fix anything that might look out of place. Said they did an alighnment, showed me a chart and away i went. Things didnt feel right. Steering would not turn back easily, it drifted all over the road and there correction just made things worse. Truck would drive sideways and all they said was well we alighned it. Took the truck to my mechanic and trirod sleeves not tighted, cambers not adjusted. Took my mechanic all but 2 minutes to find the problems. Dont go to les schwab on columbia blvd. Poor attitudes and poor buisness
I am a little concerned about Les Schwabs policies. I was in a relationship with a Les Scwab employee for years and I was informed that I could never apply for employment at that store because my live in boyfriend was already employed there. I have been to another store where one of the head Sales and Service employee is living with and in a relationship with the Book Keeper. They manage to have the same days off and also the same vacations off. Is this right? Is this fair? Is this in fact a policy on inter office relationships? Just a little curious
I am so upset now. We have a 05 Pontiac Grand Am SE. We began to hear a grinding noise from the brakes and my husband took it into Les Schwab in Snohomish to get them checked and replaced if needed. He was told that there was about 20,000 miles left before the brakes needed to be changed. I called the next day to get a quote on replacing the shoes and rotors and told that they would need to be "specialty ordered". WHAT? It is a Pontiac, not a Lamborghini. Anyway did not get the quote. We still were hearing the noise so a few days later my husband took off the tire to see if he could see why. After taking off the brake shoes, he found that they worn down to the metal plate and changed them himself since, obviously, they did not want the business and could not be trusted. I had never had a problem before but apparently, the location in Snohomish is not interested in upholding the reputation that their name represents and we will not be going back. What would have happened if we did not check and just took their word for it. We could have been killed in an accident.
i will never do buisness with your company again.i would rather stick my junk in a cactus than put up with the way that i was treated ,it would be alot less iritating .if anyboudy of any importance reads this feel free to call me 406 257 3962
We have five vehicles and all of them have only had Les Schwab tires since we have owned them, along with Les Schwab batteries. On Thursday July 5, 2012 my light came on stating my tire pressure was low so I took it in to Les Schwab on Central in Medford, OR. This was the third time in several months the warning light came on so the worker told me he wanted to check the tire. He said pull in it will be about thirty minutes. I did as told checked in at the front desk, etc. One hour and forty five minutes later they still had not even looked at my car or tire. People came in after me and got waited on. My car was the only one left in the parking area, there were two stalls open and no one bothered to get my car. Finally I just left. It is definintely time to reconsider my tire/battery/brake business.
The Scappoose, Oregon Les Schwab store is an example of customer service at its finest! We are NEVER pressured to buy more than we need; consequently, we trust the staff of friendly service people who go out of their way to provide "just" what we need in an affordable product or service. We have been shown several kindnesses in the short time that the store has been located in our community. That includes fixing a flat for free. My husband and I will continue to bring our business to Les Scwhab. Good job! I would like to name the folks but I know that they would all provide that excellence and I only know the names of Joel and Denver. Thanks, guys.
Was stranded with a bad battery. Went to Les Schwab to buy a new one. Installed it and still had to get a jump. Drove off and a mile down the road stalled out again. Towed the car and thought there was something major wrong. Next day my ex brought a good battery to trouble shot with, found Schwab's battery to be bad. Took it back and was treated rudely and they denied that it was bad. Requested a different battery anyhow and installed and car started right up. No problems since..was almost ready to tow again to a shop for a diagnostic. Thank God had another good battery. Les Schwab Customer service was rude and they sell bad products at a high price.
Had my son take my car in today to Les schwad Took the car in at ten thirty am they told him it would take 2 hour to wait OK they call me at 10:45 to see if it was OK for him to bring it in I said he on my account so he can use it anytime. So he waited it took them 5 1/2 HOURS to put a tire on they said they gave him a quote and they had 50 cars ahead of him THATS HARD TO BELIVE there parking lot is not that big so 10:30 to 3:00 he waited When i talked to them they said they gave him a QUOTE early in the day wrong at 1:49 they gave him the QUOTE at 3:00 he left with a tire and alot of bullshit from rude people in the office. SOMEONE need to come in and check out how BAD the ELKO NE. branch has become Ill be take my business elsewhere
this is the EXACT yelp review I wrote today for my experience for Les Schwab in Tukwila, Washington on June 12th, 2012 Many grammical errors but I was venting and not a happy customer!!! DO NOT GET HELPED BY ALBERTO J AT LES SCHWAB IN TUKWILA, WA!!! He belongs in the bay and absolutely should not interact with customers. This man doesn't listen to customer concerns or issues. Soon as he took his slow self to the counter and took 30 minutes to quote me and print out all of the unnecessary estimates...I KNEW HE WAS BOGUS, FAKE and a uncaring attentive individual. I needed my rear brake pads replaced and gives me a quote for two tires and plus and accounted for over $1500.oo. I initially informed Alberto I don't have the means AT THIS TIME to pay for those expenses and need the squealing to be taken care of. He gave me just the rear estimate of little less than $600.00 for both rotors and I asked will this take care of the squealing noise...he said possibly yes and possibly no. I said with my stern voice after his careless attitude, uncaring and negative attitude and demeanor...I'm going to pay $600.00 and you are telling me it might still squeal!!! His co-worker/superior associates came out and diffused the situation and reassured me that my truck is in good hands. It's a shame Les Schwab employs this associate...for the good hour and a half I was in the waiting room, I witnessed a lazy, uncaring individual who needs to be more attentive when listening to customers , needs to have compassion, don't just endorse and sell products but listen to customer needs and offer and know Les Schwab product knowledge and service to help the customer and their needs. Customers certainly do not need to be rushed, feel forced to make a decision at that time. I was greeted initially by Tim who provided superior customer service. He had a positive attitude and I felt like I was going to be taken care of. I wish this whole time it was being recorded so I could personally show the President of Les Schwab and the manager of this Tukwila Les Schwab my experience. For the standards that Les Schwab uphold and the legacy they have, their name...it's very disappointing a employee such as him could ruin someone's experience and service at this location. Another associate that reassured me service was going to be taken care of was Rhett. So at this time I'm waiting for my service to be taken care of...but regardless, ask me if I'll come back he for ANY service or suggest to my family or friends this location?!? Absolutely not...not for a VERY LONG TIME. P.S. I couldn't stand the way Alberto uncaring attitude and I told him directly...if you are not in a mood to help customers, not in a good mood to work...you shouldn't be out in the front speaking with customers. If you can't give or do your best, don't come to work. It ruins experience for both ends.
To whom may be reading this, While deployed to Kuwait my wife took our van into Les Schwab to be fixed. When I returned and we transferred to TX from Lynnwood WA the same problem with my van. I received some of my refund but not the whole return. I missing my core fee and shipping and handling for a total 180.00. I am looking into reporting this to the BBB or someone. I feel that any service member should never be treated this way. Could someone help me please. My point of contact for the store is Robert.M.Ray@lesschwab.com Thank you for your time in this matter James
Staff didn't know what they were doing. Manager was rude no wonder their workers were hella rude. Tryin to charge me for shit I didn't ask them to do. I went in to get my tire replaced, balance and alignment. They were trying to charge me 600 for brakes, struts and other shit that I didnt ask them to do, then turns out it was a qoute the guy was trying to charge me for. I asked them to keep one of my good tires instead they gave me back the worn out one and threw away my good one. Once they were done I looked inside my SUV that I just got done cleaning. They for the inside of my tab mats all dirty. I was so pissed that they didn't even put liners inside before getting in the car. My husband works at Toyota and their work place always put liners on the Mats and seat so they don't get anything dirty. And ontop of that a couple days later I had a flat so I calls them a didn't a house call to put air in the tire which they didn't tell me they charge for. They don't tell u shit before sending Some one out. I would of never gone there but my dad wanted me to get it Done instead of just waiting for my hubby to put replace the tires him self. I have never had to spend my on my car cause my husbands does all my maintance on my car. Last time anyone touches my SUV. They did a shitty job on balancing and the alignment. Paid hella money for them just to mess up my SUV. Poor service and rude ass workers...tsk tsk!
It with a heavy heart I send this to you being i was raised up in the north west longview as a matter of fact and worked for you people for a year that I will not step foot in another one of your stores shops again cause in that year I worked for you I made some friends and you just let go of two of them one had 29 years in your company and the other had 14 make no mistake I did have respect for your company but now i only have respect for the founder of the company Mr. Shwab I think at one time it was a good company but it very unfortunate that your managment people have forgotten what les built his store and business on honesty and loyalty not just the coustomers but its employees that being said I wish you the best
I would rate them a zero but its not an option. we paid $1400.00 for Goodyear wrangler tires for hunting season last November. they held up great on rough terrain. no problems. now it is may and the side of the tire just split for no apparent reason and they tell us "we don't warranty special order tires". excuse me?! you sell them and then don't stand behind your product? what happened to "we guarantee you are protected" BULL. why would we as the buyer, order something so expensive with no warranty?! why were we not told about this BEFORE we spent so much money if they don't offer a warranty on THEIR OWN PRODUCT?!?! we had 3 people AT THE ELKO, NV store look at them and one said it was safe to drive on, the other said it wasn't safe to drive on and the last said he didn't know. what is wrong with this picture? i do not recommend the Les Schwab tire center in ELKO, NV for ANYTHING. we have had way more problems than this but this is the biggest most expensive mistake we made with them. we used to think years of loyalty to this company was worth something. Apparently it only goes one way.I would really like to speak to someone at the cooperate office about this because the staff at the Les Schwab here does not even try to help us. they just say too bad for you and send you on your way. How are you still in business?! If this in not resolved to our satisfaction, I swear i will bad mouth this company into the ground. i have it with the NO CUSTOMER SERVICE from this company!!!
I had brand new tires put on my car from Les Schwab rated for 80,000 miles. The rep told me about siping but failed to mention or recommend an alignment. I REGULARLY took my tires in for service, my invoices show every 5,000 miles, but was NEVER told an alignment was needed or recommended. I was shocked to find out that after driving 40,000 miles my tires were bald. The rep stated he checked the system and found that I never had an alignment performed on my vehicle so my tires were not covered under warranty because the balding was due to misalignment. When I asked the rep why I was never told I needed an alignment, he stated "We don't do that" leading me to believe Les Schwab does not do alignments. Boy was I livid when I explained my experience to my Dad and he informed me that Les Schwab aligns his car all the time and they should have performed an alignment as a standard procedure when installing new tires. What bothers me the most is that my safty and the safety of those around me was ignored because Les Schwab failed to tell me my tires were wearing incorrectly. I do not recommend doing buisness with Les Schwab.
Les Schwab never replaced the key to be able to change my tire. When I contacted them,in Ellensburg, there was no apology. They asked for the vin# to get me a new key but VW needs the car. How much would this 90 mile tow cost me plus the cost of the key, my time and the gas to get home...just saying! Don't go here for customer satisfaction!
