My husband and I purchased 2 recliners and a sofa from Lazy Boy in At the end of July 2012. A couple of months later I had to contact Lazy Boy about the recliners making a loud noise when you released the lever on the side of the chairs. I was told that you cannot recline to the last notch or it will make the noise and put stress on the chair. I gave it another month and it was still making the noise. Then in December of 2012 I noticed a small hole on the front part of the arm on the sofa. Lazy Boy sent someone out to look at the furniture. We were told on December 26, 2012, that there was nothing they could do to fix the recliners and the arm of the sofa would need to be replaced and it would take 3 hours to do. The fabric on the sofa is pilling and I was told by Beth at their corporate office that the fabric was not covered under the manufactures warranty and she advised me to get a fabric shaver and shave the pilling off. After a couple of shavings the fabric should be alright. I am still in shock. We had this furniture less than six months and I was told to shave the pilling off the fabric!!! I was also told by the manager at the store in Ballwin, MO, that they a refund on the furniture is not possible. Please do not purchase anything from Lazy Boy. They do not stand behind their products. They are terrible at customer service. Look at their rating at the top of this page, it is 1.4 and read the complaints on this website, the complaints are recent complaints. I just wish my husband and I would have checked this website before we purchased over 3,000.00 dollars of furniture from Lazy Boy. We are very disappointed with the furniture we purchased from Lazy Boy and their customer service is the worst we have ever experienced.

Dissatification

We were told delivery would take 8-10 weeks, 14 weeks later, nothing. Now I am told it won't be till the end of January, which will then be about 18 weeks. I have ordered from Lazy Boy in the past, but this will be the last time. And of course I can do a refund but they keep 50% of my money. I will also let everyone I know what happened and not to shop there. I have been paying on a sofa that I do not have. Lazy Boy, you really need some work on your system.

Don't pay in full until you see it

December 2012 we ordered a special fabric recliner,$1,100, and made half down payment. The store manager in Raleigh, NC, Keith, now tells me I must PAY IN FULL BEFORE I see the recliner. I have to pay in full before it can be shipped from the Northeast to the store at which point I can see it. After the hundreds of very poor reviews of quality/workmanship I have read, I want to see it first. Keith tells me it is company policy and that there is no way around it.

bad bad service

I ordered a power recliner love seat, august 4 2012, it arrived Oct.16 2012. in two weeks the rightside was moved back 2inches from the left. I called the Langley store where I brought it with replacement garrantee. They finally asked me to come in and pick up another one, then they wanted t charge me restocking plus a pickup fee and delivery fee for the new one. I did get them down to one delivery fee not that I think I should pay even that as the loveseat was badly made, so not my fault. Then I was told they had to pick up the bad loveseat, my new one would not be here until first week in Jan 2013. Now I am told the end of jan 2013. I am handicapped cannot get up and down from a rocking chair the only two other comfortable relaxing chairs we own. This love seat cost us over $2000 alot but I thought lazy boy was a good make, How wrong could I be. I would like lazy Boy to sort this out get me my furniture which has been paid for in full way back in aug.2012. Tell your store manager to play fair with cusomers, think hard when the customer has a handicap. I could see no reason why they had to pick up the bad loveseat before the new one was ready to be delivered. Please sort this out very soon or I shall go to the BBB and make a complaint.

Horrible Service

1st the set took 6 months to get delivered. On delivery day, we got the wrong color!!! I refused delivery. Called the store, manager was off, called corporate (houston location) and the rep was no help at all. I told her what is corporate for if you can not do anything about it, thanks for nothing!! Will never get anything from Lazy Boy again!!

Hi my name is Shelley Lammers from Delta, British Columbia. My running friend and I were hit by a car while running December 3rd. I have always loved my Lazy Boy but wow has it ever come through for me. I have two broken vertebrae and three broken ribs plus a bunch of other injuries. The only place I can get any sleep is in my Lazy Boy. It is so comfortable. I'm glad my husband and I bought them instead of some cheap copy. Thank you for an awesome product.

Dissatification

My family visited your store on Centennial in Las Vegas on Sunday morning. We were purchasing a recliner for my mother's 90th birthday. We found what we wanted and was told it would be $286, which inc luded the tax. This was great. Then we told them we would take it with us. OH NO they said, you can not take it. It must be delivered. Then we were told it was $69. This is wrong. If tax is included then delivery should be too. This is a game I don't like. We left and bought on elsewhere. YOu should be ashamed of your selves.

Leather sofa and love seat

After two months in dealing with La-Z Boy furniture I would also advise any and all consumers not to buy any furniture from this company. Their customer service is non existence, they misrepresent their product and also their warranties. Three Thousand dollars in furniture with a warranty card that says 10yrs on poly and they say only 1year. Pathetic, no customer service at all and they don't care

burlington store

The Manager at the Brant St. Burlington Ontario Store is beyond rude. She is cold and unfriendly and left us feeling like we were imposing. She is out of touch with the working of the store . She likes everyone to know that she is the manager and the big boss. I have bought many items from La-z-boy because of the salespeople but after dealing with her, I will not do this any longer. She demeaned the salesperson in front of us and made us feel very uncomfortable. She is the face of this store and a very harsh one.

Very disapointed

I bought a recliner in April of 2012,,I spent around $1,000 knowing i wasn't going totally cheap. Service has now been to my house eight time's now,, as far as I know it has been pretty much rebuilt now,, other than the frame it's self. One of the problem's it has had since day one,, when you lift the foot rest,, it some how ratchet's up the material from the seat,,I half to keep reaching clear in behind the seat and pulling the material out clear down to the foot rest,, then it will work fine for about a day,,, it keep stretching the apostery,, you never know when the foot rest is going to start collapsing,, I have a sever back injury,, that is why I chose a Lazboy chair,, thinking I was getting top quality product,, I have never been so disappointed in my life. The store manager has yelled at me,,everyone seems to think it is funny when I tell them I cant get my back healed up when never knowing while holding the handle for lifting the foot rest, you never know when your feet are losing support at the same time. I do not make it a hobbie of making a purchase and then bothering people about it after the matter,, but this one has taken the cake for me,, I am just WoWed Joseph Reed

Power loveseat

Purchased Lancer power reclining loveseat in Aug,2012. The loveseat was severely "OVERSTUFFED" to the point when just sitting there is not much seat room even for a small person as myself. I also believe the color is not the same as I ordered. Being unhappy with my $1600 purchase I called the store to exchange the piece for something else. I was three days past their 3 day after purchase policy--so no exchange was allowed. This loveseat is so uncomfortable and I could not exchange it I think I will donate it to my local thrift shop...Never to buy from lazy boy again

We purchased a leather recliner in October 2011 - by June 2012 the seat cushion was showing an impression of where you sit. Lazy Boy refused to fix the chair calling it normal wear and tear. Our local service office tried to fix it and requested more poly foam to reimforce the seat cushion. They were told the part is not available due to normal wear and tear. SO DO NOT PURCHASE A LEATHER CHAIR, RECLINER, SOFA ETC. BECAUSE AFTER A A FEW MONTHS IF THE SEATS BEGIN TO SHOW AN IMPRESSION IT IS DUE TO NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR! JUST A NOTE TO PONDER - WE PURCHASED A LEATHER CHAIR AND OTTOMAN FOR OUR SON FROM RESTORATION HARDWARE MORE THAN 10 YEARS AGO. HE HAS 2 YOUNG CHILDREN AND HIS WIFE - I CHECKED THAT CHAIR TO SEE IF ANY IMPRESSION WAS BEGINNING TO SHOW ON THE SEAT CUSHION AND IT IS NOT. THAT SHOWS THE QUALITY AND WORKMANSHIP IN THAT PRODUCT. We totally regret purchasing from Lazy Boy and will never ever purchase anything from them again.

I have the same problem as ABDEC in page 4 the staples are ridiculess made in the Usa! The workmanship is horrible no one cares! I am sorry I purchas ed it so fast I was having surgery I thought . Everyone is skimping on everything I am afraid and again noone cares. And companies do not tell the truth. I will see how I make out on 11/1

I am still waiting for my recliner, I was told it was damaged in transit. Now I am told they do not know when I will get it. I am a repeat customer I am not happy.

I recently bought a leather La-Z-Boy recliner in Myrtle Beach SC, picked it up at the store, and paid over $1K for it. Within days I started having leg cramps. I returned to the store seven days later to EXCHANGE the recliner for one that did not cause me cramps. I then found out the return policy was three days...my bad decision and luck. I ate my decision to purchase a La-Z-Boy...NEVER AGAIN.

I bought a recliner chair in May 2012.I picked it in a line up at the store .I didn,t know what ,a rachet chair really was .It is the worst investment I have made my .in life.We have had a problem with a part breaking for the 3rd time.I thought we had bought from a good dealer.They are giving us service but what do we do when our warrenty is up.I think you should take this chair back and give us a new one 3 strikes and you are out.A dissafied customer

I have owned several pairs of wing back Lazy Boy recliners over the past forty years.They have been wonderful. I went to purchase a new pair this fall. My old pair are 12 years old. My only problem has been the old fashion fabrics choices. I am 66 and they seem too dull for me. Sadly, I bought a pair of Lane wing back recliners. They are nowhere near the quality. I know they will need replacing in a few years. I will go back to Lazy Boy. My question is will you be adding new more classic looking fabrics to your line?

I had all flex steel top of the line furniture we lost in a fire. My husband wanted lazy-boy so I agreed. We bought three recliner couches and three chairs. We spent thousands of dollars and had great service in the beginning. Our Macon Ga store went out of business and trying to get several things broken on these chairs is impossible. The seats are tearing up although we got the wonderful micro fiber. I have been dealing with Perry Ga and they said it would be two months because there is so much maintenance to be done. I have been waiting since February. We have a chair that is impossible to use do to the area broken. I can not believe I was talked into lazy boy and it will never happen again.

On June 4th 2012 we purchased 2 recliners from the La z boy store at Smith Corners, Charlotte NC. They had one of the right color recliners on the floor and another was in the warehouse awaiting a piece (the wing) for repair. We were assured that the repair would be complete and the 2nd recliner delivered in 6-8 weeks. We were to pay two delivery fees due to them having to come twice. The chairs were just what we were looking for so we agreed. These were $1200.00 chairs and one would think that we would have been kept in the loop of where they stood as far as repair. After losing my temper in August, our salesman did keep in touch...for a while. Then communication once again came to a screeching halt. We drove to the store on Sunday, September 16th 2012 to discuss the whereabouts of our chair. Did I mention September? Lo and behold it was in! "Didn't my Manager call you?" Pass the buck and CYA! We were assured it would be delivered on Thursday, September 2012. I was called by the delivery personnel yesterday and told it was the 2nd delivery today and would be there between 10 and 1:00. The driver would give me a 30 minute head's up. At 12:40 pm when I had yet to receive this head's up, I called the distribution center only to learn they knew nothing of it. Finally found out that they knew this morning it was not there and had supposedly made arrangements for it to be delivered by the salesman on Saturday morning. COULD SOMEONE HAVE CALLED ME TO LET ME KNOW? I will believe it when I see it! They have HORRIBLE customer service and are the EPITOME of INEPTITUDE!

Purchased two weeks ago a chair from your showroom located in Wellington Florida. The chair cost $2,000.00 Repeat the chair cost $2,000.00. It was supoosed to come from one of your warehouses but we are convinced it came directly from the store floor due to the exact same price tag and in the exact same postion was delivered to use on the chair. We also paid an addition $100.00 for leather treatment....when delivered no paper work was presented that this was done. We called the manager and he said we would get something direct from the corporate office on the leather process and that it was done. Do you people know what BS is . Now We want our $100.00 back and we want $59.00 back that the manager agree to deliver free of charge since we are less then 15 mins from the store.
